It’s a Death March Weekend!

Today (and most of this weekend, at least) I’ll be rereading and then catching up with the web novel I mentioned last post, Death March. I got the 43^rd part of the 10^th act before I started writing this post. The new chapters today are – Ashes to Flame, Tsunami, and Mauling Snarks.

There was also a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned yet, ‘Devil Ninja’ by The Engulfing Silence. It’s a crossover between Naruto and High School DxD, where Naruto ends up in the DxD world with no chakra. The extra story I’ll talk about today is one I mentioned earlier, “The Prince of Tennis” (it was when I was talking about the abundance (and variety) of sports manga/anime. The Prince of Tennis is a story by Takashi Konomi about a young tennis prodigy named Ryoma Echizen who just returned from America with his family. He ends up at Seishun Academy (it’s a middle school) and joins its strong tennis team. After beating some of his seniors, he ends up on the team’s regulars. They work together to try and get to and win the National Middle School Tennis Championship. However Ryoma also wants to get better to win against his Dad (who’s much better than him). It’s an older series, but it’s still popular. The original series ran for 42 manga volumes and had 178 episodes. It has a sequel ongoing called “New Prince of Tennis” which is about after the Nationals and onto the Worlds. I recommend this one very much.

Once again, I read more Death March and got to near the middle of the 13^th act at part 20. The new chapters for today were Reincarnation Roulette, Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! There was really nothing else today, so onto my replacement story, next paragraph!

I’ll go more in-depth for another story I mentioned about when I talked about sports, “Eyeshield 21” by Riichiro Inagaki. It’s about Sena Kobayakawa, a high school freshman at Deimon High who is a frequent gopher for bullies. His childhood friend, Mamori, protects him, but he finds it embarrassing. The only thing he has going for him is his speed. The devil captain and quarterback of the ‘American Football’ club (yeah, so looked this up and it turns out that this and football of the rest of the world have the same base sport that split when football decided to not use hands. Soccer was a slang term for “Association Football” (no hands) in Europe, but is now only used in North America. Don’t know why “Rugby Football” decided to drop ‘Rugby’, but now there are two footballs. Who knew), Hiruma sees him and tricks him into becoming the third member of the team (along with Kurita, a lineman) as the running back (they borrow members from other teams until they eventually get a full roster). To hide his identity, Sena pretends to be the manager and during the games wears a tinted Eyeshield and has the number 21 (thus Eyeshield 21). Sena gains confidence and grows as they strive to get to the Christmas Bowl. This is another oldie, but goodie. It has 37 manga volumes and 145 anime episodes.

I only got to the end of part 13 of Death March today, but that’s because I reread (and caught up on) Deku: The Golden Saiyan Hero of Hope that had a new chapter today. The other new chapters were from An Unseen Hunt and an omake for Taylor Varga. Once more I read nothing else new, so its time for the talk about another series!

This time is “Cross Game” a baseball series by Mitsuru Adachi, who has written several other baseball and sport series. Cross Game is about Ko Kitamura, who is a great pitcher. His childhood friend, Wakuba Tsukishima (the second daughter in the family), treats him as her boyfriend and wants him and her sister Aoba (the third daughter) to get along. Her last dream she relays to them before she dies in an accident while they’re in elementary school is for them (Ko and Aoba) to go to Koshien (the high school baseball championship) together. He eventually joins the baseball team in high school and she becomes the manager because she can’t join the team (even though she hates him, mostly). They overcome the team’s difficulties and work toward their goal of making that dream come true. It’s a sweet story, though it has a sad beginning. It has 17 volume of manga and 50 anime episodes (I really love the opening and closing themes!). I very much hope you read/watch this one.

It looks and sounds great, though I’m sad we won’t be able to hear the full version unless we pre-order/get the album and even then not until it comes out on Jan 18 a week before the game comes out).

Monday

So today I got to part 20 of act 15 (the middle of it) of Death March. There are only 16 acts currently, but it (again currently) has 78 parts and an intermission. I may finish tomorrow, but I should be finished on Wednesday at the latest. The new chapters today are Mauling Snarks and How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.

There was a new chapter for a story from ack1308 called, ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ It’s a Worm fic where Danny and his wife Annette were a hitman team called Dark. They stopped after Taylor was born, but when Taylor is put in the locker and her favored dog (only in this fic) is stolen, he dons his former identity to get back the dog and get revenge for his daughter. For today’s new series, I’ll take a break from the sports and Japanese stories. “The Hardy Boys” by several people under the pen name Franklin W. Dixon is an older children’s mystery series about brothers Frank and Joe Hardy. They’re teenagers who are amateur detectives, following after their father who is also one. They usually assist their father or stumble onto something with his cases. The original series was started in 1927, but were revised in 1959 to be less racist and simpler. It ran until 2005, when “Undercover Brothers” started. That ran until 2012 and “The Hardy Boys Adventures” started in 2013. The original series has 190 books (though some only consider the first 58 to be ‘canon’). It’s a fun series for your kids, I should know I read some when I was young!

Today, I read a few more Ashes of the Past. The new chapters today are Ripples and Reality Bites Worm. I also read more stories from ack1308.

The first one of the two is ‘Wyvern,’ which is a Worm fic where Taylor triggers into a wyvern instead. She can change into it when she’s afraid and change back when she’s comfortable/happy. The second one is called ‘I’m HALPING’ another Worm fic. It has an unnamed human-shaped Endbringer (who’s eventually named ‘Zachary’), whose purpose is to protect Taylor Hebert. He lets her out of the locker immediately, but is hounded by the PRT and Protectorate. Next, I read a fic called, ‘The Last Master’ by Woona The Cat. Its an Unlimited Blade Works and Fate Grand Order crossover where Shirou takes the place of the main character in the game (because of Zelretch shenanigans of course). He changes things, but still becomes the last master of Chaldea. It’s only 5 chapters and not finished yet, but has been updated recently. Following I read a Star Wars fic called, ‘I Know: Or, How Ahsoka Tano Saved the Skywalkers’ by Sianshanya. It has Ahsoka finding out that Anakin and Padmé are together and before she leaves tells him to confide in Obi-Wan. This saves Anakin from falling to the Dark Side and leads to a different story. Wednesday

There’s nothing from former stories other than new chapters, so here they are: Lucy Heartfilia and the World of the Gods, Organization 13 and a Half, Mauling Snarks (Omake), It’s in the Cards, Master Potter of Kamar-Taj and Heroes Assemble! I finally finished my Let’s Go Pokedex (except for Melmetal, but that will take a while. Only almost 200 candies so far and I need 400) and caught a shiny Weedle on Let’s Go Pikachu.

The only other thing I read today was – Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku (or Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody). While there are light novels (several versions, if I’ve read correctly), a manga and an anime (1 season), I’m reading the translation of the original web novel (which is still ongoing). I’ve read it before up to where it was at then in the 16^th part somewhere (The parts get longer with each progressive one. For example the first one has 10 sections and the tenth one has 51 sections, 7 Intermissions and 13 short stories).

It’s about a Japanese 20 something year old programmer who goes to sleep and wakes up in a fantasy world looking 15. He’s level 1 in the middle of no-where and the only special thing he has is a menu, an all-map identify spell and 3 map clear meteor spells (in all but the original web novel, he’s about to be attacked by lizard people). He activates the meteor spell and becomes over level 300. He then goes through this world meeting people and trying to be a sightseer (he fails and gets into many situations to help people) and find out why he ended up here (I think we know the basics when I got to the current chapter back then, but you find out much later). It’s fun, but I’ll be stuck on this for a while cause I’m only just starting the 6^th act (I’ll make sure to write about something else too, so don’t worry). Thursday

I read more of Death March (I’ll just call it this) today and got to the 13^th section of the 9^th part. The only new chapter was for Seerking’s Asylum (he’s on break for the holidays on the normal schedule), but there was a rewrite notice for chapter 5 of Konsō and a poll notice for Broken Dreams. I also went to my town’s festival today about a Christmas drink (there were many variations of it, along with singing and food.

As I only read Death March, I’ll talk about the Accel World light novel series by Reki Kawahara. It’s about a fat student named Arita Haruyuki who lives in a future where people can have chips implanted that can have their brains jacked into the computer. His avatar is very nimble, but that’s the only thing he has going for him (he’s bullied, his two childhood friends are going out and he’s the third wheel). When he meets the beautiful Kuroyukihime, he joins the program Brain Burst and enters the Accelerated World where he uses his skills to help her beat everyone else (and escape his current reality). It’s still being published, but there are 23 novels out now along with a manga, a few anime seasons and a movie.

Today I started rereading the Pick Up the Piece series and got part way through the second one Move On. There were new chapters for – Tsunami, Viridescent, A Smile on Your Face and a Song in Your Heart, Mauling Snarks, Taylor Varga and Stand Together and Smile. I read more new sakurademonalchemist stories also.

The first one is called ‘Moon Sword’ and it is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Fate/Stay Night. It has Usagi and Shirou switching places in the fire (meaning Usagi was there for the fire and had her memories wiped, then Usagi ended up with Kiritsugu and Shirou was adopted into Usagi’s family, who thought she was dead). It also had the Moon and ‘Atlantis’ (where Endymion lived) around the time of Babylon, where Gilgamesh was also interested in Serenity (who only went after Endymion because her mother kept pushing her at him). When she summons him away from the church, he recognizes her and decides to help her and stay around. Things change drastically. The second one was ‘Angel Fire’, which is a crossover between the Guild Hunter series and Harry Potter. The Guild Hunter series’ first book is “Angel’s Blood” and it was the other thing I read today. Angel’s Blood is about Elena Deveraux, who is a vampire hunter. It’s not like normal though, vampires are Made (yes, it’s also captiallized in the book) by Angels from people who want to live longer (most of the time). They have to serve the Angel who turns them for a long time before they’re free. When a vampire runs away from that service or starts hunting humans, people like Elena are sent to capture or kill them. Elena is one of the best, that’s why the local Archangel, Raphael, chooses her for a very special assignment, hunting down another Archangel who’s turning to bloodlust. She has to do this, while fighting off her attraction to Raphael.

It’s an interesting series and I only found it because I wanted to read Angel Fire. There’s romance, but no sex scenes. I would recommend it.

Angel Fire is about a female Harry who discovers she’s Angel born when Umbridge pushes her off a tower and her wings reveal themselves. She runs away and ends up in Raphael’s territory. Today I read more Pick Up the Piece series and got part way thought the third and last, Rebuild. The new chapters for today were Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! I once again read some new sakurademonalchemist stories.

The first was ‘Daughter of Flame’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist and Harry Potter crossover. It has female Harry being the daughter of Roy Mustang instead and her going through the Gate to meet him after her fourth year. There she eventually meets the Elric brothers and journeys with them. They follow her to Hogwarts to learn about magic. Oh, did I mention that the Wizarding World thinks she’s a boy? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11569177/1/Daughter-of-Flame.

The second one was ‘Summoner’s Sword’ and it is a Fate/Stay Night and Chrono Crusade crossover. Chrono Crusade (which I haven’t read in a long time) is about Rosette Christopher and her soul-bound demon Chrono, who are members of the Order of Magdalene. They hunt other demons across America while searching for Rosette’s brother, who was taken by another demon. It’s an interesting story and the anime and manga have different endings (I don’t know which one is better because I don’t think I’ve watched the anime).

Summoner’s Sword’s only real crossover with Chrono Crusade is that Shirou is from the Harvenheit clan (Satella Harvenheit is a jewel summoner in Chrono Crusade). His abilities as a Harvenheit can only be revived when Shirou is hypnotized and his other personality changes. Säbel is this other personality’s name. Shirou can still use his normal abilities as himself, but he can now change personalities to change his abilities. This changes many things and Säbel makes things better. Finally, there was ‘Identity Crisis,’ a crossover between Doctor Who and Harry Potter. It has the Metacrisis Doctor (the one from the end of season 4 of the reboot, the duplicate of The Doctor who’s part human), being left by Rose because he isn’t The Doctor. He then finds a way to a parallel universe and uses a ritual to reincarnate himself so he can find a way to activate his Time Lord abilities. He ends up as Harry Potter. I also watched the new Robin Hood movie today. It was okay. I’m not really recommending it, but it’s not a horrible movie. They tried to humanize the Sheriff, but it kinda fell flat because he’s working for the people that abused him. I would have liked to maybe have them try to semi-save him (meaning he acted for the good guys in the end). I also felt that one character’s plot twist was a bit too much. I mean there’s spite and then there’s WTF. All in all, probably better off as a one-time Red Box rental.

I finished up the Pick Up the Pieces rereading and I finally made those lists I was talking about so I don’t reintroduce a fanfiction, story, show or movie! The new chapters were from – The Unseen Hunt and Tsunami. There are more new sakurademonalchemist (now SDA to not have to type that name every time) stories as well (I’m working through them backwards).

The first one is ‘Adamantium’ and it is an X-Men and Harry Potter crossover. It has Magneto waking up on the train to Hogwarts as an eleven year old with no idea how he got there. The next one is called, ‘Befriending Sword.’ It’s a Lyrical Nanoha and Fate/Stay Night crossover where Yunno meets Shirou instead and makes him a magical boy. The last of SDA’s stories today is ‘Queens of Cosplay.’ It’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Sekirei that has Uzume’s ‘Destined One’ being Hayate. Today I read a few more chapters of Ashes of the Past. The new chapters for today are Mauling Snarks, The Gamer (webcomic) and Headstart. There are no new stories from SDA today, yay! I also activated another Meltan box.

I reread ‘Campione of the Holy Grail’ by fg7dragon. It’s a crossover between Heaven’s Feel (Type Moon Universe, same time frame but different route from Fate/Stay Night) and Campione! Illya ends up the last one alive to face Angra Mayu and ends up becoming a Campione for killing him. She becomes the 7^th Campione and does what she wants (basically explore the world). I read a new story called ‘Reality Bites Worm’ by Selector. It’s a pure Worm fic that has Taylor triggering at a different time. She gathers an all female team together and with some help becomes a force for good. I find it interesting and it has 27 chapters, with more to come as it was updated on the 27^th of last month. Finally, I also watched “Christopher Robin.” I enjoyed it and it’s message, that living to work isn’t really living at all. I remember watching Winnie the Pooh when I was younger and thought the live action versions were nice. I like the symbolism that he’s the Heffalump taking all the happiness away. I would very much recommend it!

An Irregular and Meltan Weekend (with some other things mixed in)

Today I finished The Irregular at Magic High School book 18 and read book 19 and read some more of Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Mauling Snarks, Ashes to Flame and History’s Strongest Disciple Again? (the one I beta read). I also read some more sakurademonalchemist.

The first new one (again for me, not overall) was ‘Swords of a Devil.’ It’s a Type Moon Universe and High School DxD crossover where Shirou is a devil and is kidnapped by the Church after he is adopted. It was for the Holy Swords project that Kiba was a part of and it tempers his ‘saving people’ thing. Watch as he changes things, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11974930/1/Swords-of-a-Devil.

The other new one was ‘Queen of the Grimm.’ It’s a Once Upon a Time and Grimm crossover. Grimm is a TV Series about Nick Burkhardt who is a Grimm. A Grimm can see the true form of Wesen, which are part human and part animal. He defends his city from evil Wesen and helps those in trouble.

The story has Regina leaving Emma in charge of the town in order to get away from the Charmings and her mother. She ends up in Portland, OR and meets Nick. She is also a Grimm and helps him and others out. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11555943/1/Queen-of-the-Grimm.

I also watched the first few episodes of “Storage Wars: Northern Treasures.” It was okay, but the original is so much better. There’s way too much animosity and bad mouthing in this one. In the original, while they were competing, it was more of a friendly rivalry most of the time. In this one, they just seem to hate each other. I wouldn’t really recommend it, personally.

Today, I read more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Relic of the Future, Harry Potter and the Stargate and Heroes Assemble! and Black Sky (Yay, it’s back. Though it’s only sporadically for now). Other than that I watched some more episodes of The Irregular at Magic High School. It was kinda a slow day.

I’ll talk about the Artemis Fowl series. It’s an 8 book series about Artemis Fowl, a genius middle school student who wants to make back the money his family had lost. He decides to do this by stealing from the fairies, who he had found out were real. He kidnaps a LEPRecon (Lower Elements Police, Recon division, because they live underground) Captain, Holly Short. The first book has him against LEPRecon, but they’re on sort of the same side after that. I like the series a lot and am looking forward to the movie I heard about next year.

Today was more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat and episode of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for The Unseen Hunt and two short omakes for Taylor Varga. Other than that I worked on the Let’s Go, Meltan PoGo tasks and finally got to the fifth set with needing to do 10 raids tomorrow to complete it and a few chapters of Mists of a Dawning Sky.

Since I, once again, have very little, I’ll talk about the Outlander series. Outlander is a book series about Claire Randall who is having a second honeymoon with her husband Frank (after WWI) in Scotland. She goes through a stone circle and ends up in 1743 and gets caught up in the Scots revolt of the time. She meets Jamie Fraser and has to make a decision: try and get back to her time or live her life here. There are eight books out now with at least one more on the way. I like this book series and the TV series follows it well (overly so in some cases).

There is sex in the series, but the main warning I’ll give is that there is a graphic scene in both the book and TV series where there is a male raping another male. Just to give fair warning.

Today, I finished rereading Mists of the Dawning Sky, finished watching the first (and currently only) season of The Irregular at Magic High School and completed the Let’s Go, Meltan quests (even though I already had more than a few Meltans from sending Pokémon to Let’s Go). There were new chapters for Reincarnation Roulette, Mauling Snarks and Seerking’s Asylum. I read some more sakurademonalchemist again.

I reread their story, ‘Flames of the Black Cat,’ which is a Black Cat and KHR crossover. Black Cat is about a Sweeper (bounty hunter) named Train Heartnet who is a former member of an assassination organization called Chronos. He and his companions have to fight against Chronos and later his former best friend’s (who killed his girlfriend for changing him from an assassin) organization. I like both the anime and manga and definitely recommend it.

The story has Train reincarnating as female Tsuna, who has a male twin. Realizing he/she’ll be in a bad situation later, Train leaves and becomes a hit woman (though she hides her gender). The other story I reread was ‘Fated Bonds,’ which is a Fate/Stay Night and Naruto crossover. It has Archer Emiya summoned along with the Shinigami. He leads a life as a blacksmith in Konoha until he finds his ‘summoner’ a young Naruto. He takes Naruto in and helps change Sasuke’s fate. Finally, I read ‘The Witch of 221b Baker Street,’ which is a Sherlock and Harry Potter crossover. It has Female Harry becoming disillusioned by the magical world after 4^th year and getting away rather than being used. She becomes Joanne Watson and ends up as Sherlock’s roommate. There was also a new chapter for a story by ack1308 called ‘Another Way.’ It’s a Worm story where Amy (or Amelia in this case) is never taken from her father (because he isn’t captured). Sherlock is a 3 episode per season, British TV series that has Sherlock in modern London. It’s okay, but has a habit of leaving the audience at a cliffhanger for a while (There was some time between season 1 and 2 if I remember correctly).

There was also a new chapter of a story by Kenichi618 called ‘Shinobi of the High Seas.’ It’s a Naruto and One Piece crossover where Naruto is immortal and after some time looking after the Elemental Nations, (he leaves Konoha to be a protector of the EN when he finds out he’s immortal. He never had a family with Hinata) he decides to see the rest of the world. He eventually meets Luffy early on his (Luffy’s) journey and hangs out with him for a while. He gets his own ship and crew. I’m writing this before I head out to a showing of the new Pokémon movie – “The Power of Us” and will write a little about it when I get back before I post this. Which will be here –

I really liked it, the movie did a good job of mixing Pokémon and real world problems everyone has. One of the main ones, and relevant to most people, is that lies only cause problems, not solve them. Lies cause a lot of the problems in the movie that could have easily been avoided otherwise. I would definitely recommend The Power of Us. It’s showing in select theaters on the 28^th and the 2^nd. There still might be tickets left if you want to see it (there were less than 10 people including me in the theater tonight). Hope you like it too!

I’m Heading Out to Get Let’s Go!

Today, I read so more of I Am Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me, but didn’t finish either one of them and read books fifteen through the start of eighteen for The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for; Service with a Smile, Another Fine Mess, and Reading Chronicles Book 1: To the Victor, The Spoils. I got Shedinja on PoGo from the Research Breakthrough this morning, but now I wish that I had waited until this afternoon because of the stupid new Sinnoh Stone. It can only be gotten from the Research Breakthrough, but it didn’t become active until this afternoon (stupid, should happen at night, but I guess it is night somewhere then).

Anyway, I read some more new sakurademonalchemist fics (new as in I haven’t read them, they have like, let me check, 246 stories). The first one was ‘Spirit of the Jewel’ and it’s a InuYasha and Natsume Yūjin-Chō (which will now be Natsume because it’s stupid to get those vowels with symbols every time. It translates out to Natsume’s Book of Friends) crossover. Not sure it I’ve ever said what Natsume is before (really need to make that list I mentioned soon), but it’s about a boy named Takashi Natsume who can see spirits. He has since he was young (He’s a teenager now) and his family switches him between themselves and thinks he’s a liar and troublemaker because of his ability. He inherits a notebook from his grandmother that she bound spirits to control them. He tries to find them and give them back their names (which are in the book).

Spirit of the Jewel has Takashi and Nyanko (a spirit who hangs out with him who wants the book, eventually) going to the Higurashi Shrine to live before the start of InuYasha. He, Nyanko and a fox spirit end up going to the past with Kagome and getting involved with her adventures. It only has four chapters (so far, but hasn’t been updated since Sept. 2016). The second is called ‘Arrow of Truth’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) and Fate/stay Night crossover. Shirou ends up declining Alaya and not becoming a Counter Guardian. He then meets Truth (from FMA) who says he is a fragment of Edwards from when he went through the Gate of Truth (Think the author was referring to original anime series). The last one (from this author) is ‘Beware of Sith Trolls.’ It’s a three-part story (with only two parts out since Aug. 2016) that’s a Harry Potter and Star Wars crossover (with mentions and meeting Black Wing from Fate’s Gamble by Lupine Horror). It has Vader saving a young Harry Potter (who deaged himself and his a troll) and having him become his apprentice. I discovered that Fruits Basket is finally getting a remade anime with the whole story (YAY!). While doing that I learned of a short (unfinished) sequel about another young girl and the children of the Fruits Basket characters called “Fruits Basket Another.” I read the manga and enjoyed it, really looking forward to the finish and the new anime!

I reread a fic by kb0 called ‘A Friend Indeed.’ It’s a six-chapter story about what would have happened if Ginny would have tried harder to be Harry’s friend after his name comes out the Goblet of Fire. I also got a new chapter for a story called ‘The Lady of the Flies’ by InsanityIncarnate90. It’s a Worm and Highschool DxD crossover that has Rias reincarnating Taylor after the end of Worm as her Queen. Watch how this changes the DxD universe completely! I finished both My Name is Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me today. I also got caught up on The Gamer (my app didn’t get the new chapters until today <_>). There were also new chapters for Burning Ice, Harry Potter and the Stargate, Flames of the Night Sky, It’s in the Cards, Heroes Assemble! and an omake for Mauling Snarks. A Ultra Friend on PoGo gave me an Ex Raid invite today and I was finally able to catch Deoxys (yay!). I also got some Lucky Pokémon from trades today!

I started rereading a story by an author I haven’t mentioned yet, Phantom1s. It’s called ‘Harry Potter: Archangel’ and it has Harry’s accidental magic transporting him to the Flamels at a young age (to escape from the Dursleys). He grows up with them and ends up meeting Tony Stark and creating a magic Ironman suit called Archangel. He saves a going into fifth year Ginny (remember he’s not been at Hogwarts, to study at least) and things happen from there. There was a new chapter for the fic, ‘Organization 13 and a Half’ by Glennt123. It a Kingdom Hearts story that starts before 365/2 Days. It has a sentient Dusk that is the main character who becomes a part of Organization 13. Hasn’t reached 365/2 Days yet, but it is still semi-frequently updating. Lasty, I started rereading another of kb0’s stories, ‘Harry Potter: The Avenger.’ It has Harry not wanting to stay in his world any longer and goes through the Veil (with a trunk full of things) to try and find Sirius. He ends up in New York right before it’s attacked by aliens in the first Avengers movie. He joins the defense and becomes an Avenger. I finished Harry Potter: The Avenger and read more Broken Dreams (by ThunderReborn if you’ve forgotten). The only new chapter was from Another Fine Mess. That and playing PoGo, Fate/GO and KHUx are really the only things I did today. Wow, that’s kinda sad …

Anyway, I’m writing this before I head over and get my new Let’s Go games, but I have enough time to talk about another series. This time I’ll talk about “Skip Beat” by Yoshiki Nakamura. The main character, Kyoko Mogami, went to Tokyo with her love Sho to help him while he became an Idol. But when he became famous he got rid of her and she vowed horrible revenge. She decided to get revenge on him by becoming a bigger star than him. The only problem, she left behind love and can’t muster any up to catch people’s eyes.

When she proves to have talent, the director of a company decides to make a “Love-Me” section to help her (and others eventually) find what they’re missing. Watch her work through her trials to get one over on Sho (and who’s this Ren Tsuruga?). I really enjoy this series and need to catch up on it, I’m a bit behind.

The Scary Holidays

Today, I read a few new stories and continued The Accidental Bond. There were several new chapters for Celestial Worm, Seerking’s Asylum, Service with a Smile, and (of course) Pick up the Pieces and Rebuild. I read a few other fanfics by Arthur Hansen.

The first one was one I’d read before called ‘Stark Imprint.’ It’s an Ironman and Worm crossover that has Taylor finding a destroyed armor of Ironman and having most of Tony’s brain downloaded into her own. This happens when she’s at the summer camp and is able to get help for Emma. This changes many things and Taylor is a genius. The second one was one I read for the first time called ‘Worm Who?’ It’s a Doctor Who and Worm crossover where Taylor’s mother was a Time Lady who hid herself like the Doctor with a watch from the Daleks. She never recovered her memories, but when Taylor finds the watch after her mom dies and becomes a Time Lady herself. She goes out to help people and try and fix her TARDIS. She what happens! The third (and last) one was called ‘I, RWBY.’ It’s a crossover between RWBY and Iron Man: Armored Adventures (which has a teen Tony). The last story I started reading today is called ‘Unstoppable Force’ by Saphrae. It’s a Worm story with some elements and characters (mostly the Harvelle’s Roadhouse crew) from Supernatural, but only references to the main cast. Its main character is an OC who defeats Behemoth pre-story and is forced into the Wards. She ends up in Brockton Bay. But everything about her is a mystery, including her real name and the price she paid to take care of Behemoth. Well, I thought that Pick up the Pieces and Rebuild would be finished today (because both prequels had only 8 chapters), but the last one will be tomorrow. In order to make sure I remembered everything, I reread the story today to be sure. I also read some more The Accidental Bond and finished off to the current chapter of Unstoppable Force (which sadly hasn’t been updated in over a year). There were also new chapters for Queen of the Seas (two chapters), Raptor of the 20^th Ward, and Heroes Assemble!

Today’s Seerking’s new chapter for the rotation was for the story ‘Issei – The Gaming Gear.’ It’s a The Gamer and High School DxD crossover that has Issei activating the Boosted Gear early along with one of the two ‘Gamer’ gears. I also got a new chapter for a story by Kenichi618 called ‘Less Than Zero.’ It’s an OC character in Gotham city (DC universe not the TV show). Happy All Saints Day! Today I finished The Grass is Always Greener, read more The Accidental Bond, read the last chapter of Pick Up the Piece and Rebuild (but still no information on Black Sky, which makes me said) and reread Starting Over. There were also new chapters for Broken Dreams, Queen of the Seas, Cambion and Dreams of Dragons.

There was a new chapter for a story by ThunderReborn called ‘Konsō.’ It’s a Bleach story where Ichigo doesn’t get his powers back and dies after a full life (though with no wife and raising the kids of his family and friends). He decides to pretend to be someone else and finds that no one knows the truth of the Winter War in the academy, how will he change things? There was also a new story (just posted yesterday) called ‘Burning Ice’ by MoonRaven1412. I decided to reread a one-shot called ‘The Board’ by Clell65619. It’s about several Hogwarts recent graduates taking their seats on the Board of Governors after the War (Not Harry) and how they change things based on their experiences at school. I also read the first four chapters for a new Quatermass fic (just posted today) called ‘Another Fine Mess.’ It’s another Harry Potter and GATE crossover that has Harry going to Japan to meet his second cousin (Mari Kurokawa) who sets him up on a date with Shino Kuribayashi on the day the GATE appears. Lastly, the real narina posted a new story today called ‘Tsunami.’ It’s a Fairy Tail and Avengers story that has a future version of their Ripples characters dying and getting the chance to go to the Avengers universe. Today’s going to be a bit long, just so you know. Something I didn’t mention yesterday (because I was running out of time) was that the author brown phantom posted a lot. I follow his account so I get updates even for stories I haven’t read. There were a few that I read the new update so I’ll talk about them for now.

‘Keibatsu’ is about a Naruto AU where the Fourth Hokage rapes Kushina to make Naruto. When she’s killed she releases the Kyuubi and after rampaging for her sake, he is sealed into Naruto. The Fourth decides to pretend to die and lead Akatsuki. The leadership (and most of the village) follow his plan and it works until Naruto finds the Third’s journal detailing what has happened and is planed for him. He escapes and takes Hinata (the only one that doesn’t hate him, despite many attempts to force her to) with him. Kyuubi helps and they decide to go against Konoha. The second one is called ‘Secret Saotomes’ and is a crossover between Ranma 1/2 and an American TV show (that I’ve never seen before) called Secret Saturdays. The Saotomes take the place of the family in the show and are trying to save ‘cryptids’ from the bad guys. It’s okay, but knowing more about the show would be better. Maybe I’ll watch it sometime. I read new chapters for GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There, Master Potter of Kamar-Taj and Seerking’s Asylum (the end of the current short story that he might continue or somebody else might adopt). I also finished rereading Harry Potter – Three to Backstep and reread Enough (the White Angel of Auralon story that ended recently).

There was a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned, called ‘Son of Holmes’ by Syliphen Zora Riddle. It’s a crossover with the British show “Sherlock” and Harry Potter. It has a wizard killing the Dursleys when Harry was young. He kills them thinking that Dudley was Harry (as he was in his cupboard at the time). When Sherlock Holmes (who’s a wizard) investigates, he finds and adopts Harry. It’s not very far in, but it looks interesting. I also started reading ‘Naruto: Shinobi Institute of Performance Analysis’ by MaxFic. It’s a Naruto fic that has his team going through a program (the one mentioned in the title) that Orochimaru suggested to find out what each shinobi is good at and suggest paths when Kakashi cannot meet them the first day because of an important mission. It’s really good and shows how people’s issues should be dealt with unlike how they’re dealt with in most shows. I also started watching Tokyo Ghoul, but decided that reading the manga would be more interesting. I know many people like it and I figured with Halloween coming up, it would be a good one to read. I finished the original manga right before this and will start reading it’s sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re tomorrow.

For those who don’t know, Tokyo Ghoul is about a world where human and ghouls live together. Ghouls eat humans and hide from them (the only way to tell by looking at them is if they want to eat and their black and red eyes are showing). In this Ken Kaneki gets a date with a girl who turns out to be a ghoul that tries to eat him. She is ‘killed’ in an ‘accident’ and a doctor implants parts of her in him to ‘save his life’ (There are reasons those are in quotes that you have to read the story to understand). He wakes up a ghoul and has to deal with his new urges and one eye that turns red when he’s hungry. Watch as he shakes up the world in Tokyo Ghoul!

Other than that, PoGo started their Halloween event. Two new Pokémon (Drifloon and Stunky) and their evolutions are now available in the wild. I got at least one of each and hope to evolve them soon. Also there’s a new 3 part special research to get Spiritomb (stock up on Berries, you’re going to need at least 108 of them just for the first set of three quests).

Wednesday

Lol, so I’m obviously a little off today. For a little while, even though I knew that there was a Wednesday only event happening, I thought it was tomorrow and felt I had to rush back home to finish the post. It wasn’t until I got a few lines in below that I realized and laughed at myself.

So I read and finished Toyko Ghoul:re. At first I was a little confused because the main character was different (and I didn’t know him), but I realized that things were fine and that he was someone from the first manga (just very different). (This is as far as I got, btw). I’m not going to spoil things, but Sasaki Haise is someone from the first Tokyo Ghoul (so keep reading even if you’re a little confused). Hope people read both of them!

There were updates for Harry Potter and the Stargate, Mauling Snarks (a PHO interlude), and Heroes Assemble!. There was also Seerking’s new chapter for his next story in the rotation, ‘Worm – Waterworks.’ It’s a Worm story that has Taylor gaining the power to control water, a hydrokinetic to be scientific. Other than reading a few more chapters in Fate’s Gamble, I started rereading another of Sinyk’s stories, ‘Angry Harry and the Seven.’ It’s a Harry Potter story that has him with eidetic memory and an angry streak because of the soul fragment in his scar before he gets to Hogwarts. Thursday

Today was a pretty singular story day. I mostly focused on Harry Potter and the Seven (it has 87 and I’m on chapter 79 now). There was a new chapter from Seerking’s Asylum (a second chapter from the one on chapter 69), but that was it for one’s I’ve mentioned before. There was a new (and final) chapter for ‘Hollow Magic’ by Baleygr.

It’s a Harry Potter and Bleach crossover that has Harry betrayed by his friends and in a plot by Voldemort is sent to Azkaban after the fifth book. Being in the presence of dementors causes him to faint eventually and he awakens Ulquiorra Cifer’s memories and becomes him. He gets out and works to finish his business in England to get to Orihime in Japan. This is a short story (9 chapers) and it’s kinda, meh, in my books. This last chapter is just a ‘things happen and it’s the end’ ending. The author hasn’t read the end of Bleach and just kinda blahs it. I also evolved Stunky, Buneary and fully evolved the fire started for the fourth gen to get Infernape. This means I’m only missing Torterra, Empoleon (the final evolution of the grass and water starters respectively), Staraptor, Luxio, Luxray (the evolutions of Shinx that you can only get in a raid currently), Spiritomb, Riolu, Lucario, and the two regionals, Chatot and Carnivine of the Gen 4 that are out. I also finally used 108 berries and was able to get to the second set of three tasks. Now I have to catch 108 Pokémon (which for me is much easier than the berries, cause you don’t have to spin stops to catch Pokémon [other than for pokéballs and I have plenty of regular ones] and I already have 27), catch 10 dark types (I only need one more) and spin 8 Pokéstops I haven’t before (which should be fairly simple, just go to a part of the city I don’t go to much and it’ll be easy). Hopefully, I’ll be done tomorrow with it and I’ll catch Spiritomb!

A Sinyk Weekend

Friday

Today I had more Fate’s Gamble and that was mostly all I did for the day reading wise. There was of course today’s new Mauling Snarks chapter, but no other new chapters for stories. However, there was a new sequel for a series I liked that came out today. It’s the third in the series and it’s called ‘Ashes to Flame’ by rayrae118.

The series is based of the 2009 remake Star Trek films (way too much here to try and explain; look it up or don’t worry about it if you don’t know about it). The first one ‘Another Little White Lie’, starts after he drives his stepfather’s car off the cliff. He’s sent to his aunt on Tarsus IV (which I just looked up and apparently is cannon, well that he’s there at least) and lives through the tragedy there. From there he looks after the kids he saved (from a distance) and (as he’s much smarter than canon) gets a higher education. Eventually leading to a similar, but different bar scene before he joins the academy. This one goes to end of the first movie. The second one goes extrapolates on things, but deals with things before and after the second movie. The author has written two other series, a Harry Potter one and an X-Men one, that I also recommend. The first one is a Harry/Ginny one that starts at the end of third year (and goes through the fourth year) called ‘It’s OK Not To Be OK (But I Promise, I’m Trying).’ It has Harry having to deal with the abuse of the Dursley’s and getting help to overcome what happened (a common theme for this author. The second one is a “X-Men: First Class” AU where Charles and Erik go to see a different last mutant, which changes things that happen. I also went to Target to get my Zekrom/Reshiram code (I only got one because I had to convince the people that the while the Thundurus/Tornadus ones they had [of which there were many] could be redeemed through the 29 of this month; their event was technically over and the other one started today. When the box of them was checked, I was right ^_^) and Game Stop to get the Zeraora code (And once again, I have all the current Pokémon!)

Saturday

Today was more Fate’s Gamble (and I might take a break. Don’t know why this time is harder than before. I’m only up to 44 of 80.). I got a few new chapters for Relic of the Future and Harry Potter and the Stargate (I enjoyed Harry’s parody of Albus in this chapter). I decided to reread the second as it only has 16 chapter and I finished 11 of them today (on a side note, I didn’t realize [because I ignored the A/Ns] that there’s a reference to the British 1998 film the “The Avengers” [Nothing to do with the Marvel Universe at all to my knowledge, having not watched it]. This is because Petunia Dursley’s and Horace Slughorn’s actors had main roles in it. It was a clever reference).

In new chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet, I learn that ‘Naruto the Mightiest Disciple!’ by godospartain the Kitsune is going on Hiatus. As they haven’t updated it in forever (it started in 2011 and the last chapter we got from them was in 2017, a year after the chapter before it was posted), I was surprised to even hear from them. It’s a Naruto and Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple crossover that has Naruto (3 years old) being sent away via jutsu by the Third after being stabbed by Danzo. He ends up in the KtMD universe and being raised by Ryozanpaku along with Miu. It’s okay (I haven’t read it in a while), but you can read it if you want. The second chapter was from a Naruto story called ‘Better Left Unsaid’ by Kenichi618. It has Naruto not learning he has the Kyuubi from Mizuki and ending up on team 9 with Ino and Shikamaru. This changes many things. I like both this one and the author. They have quite a few stories and while some are not my cup of tea (or I don’t know the original story well enough), they have some good ones. Sunday

So, I finished rereading Harry Potter and the Stargate (the next chapter comes out on Wednesday). There were new chapters for The Unseen Hunt and Enough (the eighth and last chapter). Other than that I decided to reread some of Sinyk’s other stories I haven’t mention yet (I think).

The first one was ‘Harry Potter and the Old Friend’ which is nine chapters. It has Ignotus Peverell (the third brother that had the Deathly Hallows) taking over Harry’s body a little before his eleventh birthday and setting things up to change the future for the better. The second one was ‘Harry Potter – Three to Backstep’. It has Harry dying to Voldemort in the forest in a vastly different Battle of Hogwarts. He ends up in front of his Grim Reaper/Guardian Angel and learns it’s his 6^th death and Heaven is sending back with Hermione and Daphine Greengrass (With a soul-bond between them) to the beginning of 4^th year to fix things (including dealing with potioning the younger two Weasley’s are doing to make them love/be loyal to them and Dumbles’ manipulations). Monday

I’m still working on Harry Potter – Three to Backstep (only 9 chapters left!). I was very happen to see a new chapter for ‘Pick up the Pieces and Rebuild’ when I woke up this morning. There were also new chapters from History Strongest Disciple Again!, How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk, Mending the Knots and Mauling Snarks.

There was also a new chapter for another one of ack1308’s stories ‘Trump Card’ (which has nothing to do with the President). It’s a Worm story (big surprise) where Taylor gets the power to copy another parahuman’s power that’s within her range. She ends up with Über and L33t. This chapter is supposed to be the second to last, but maybe there’ll be a sequel (there’s a lot of unfinished business, a least I think). I also went to Game Stop and sold my old Pokemon Games (White, X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun and Moon [the last two are extra copies I got to get more hat Pikachu’s in a past event]) to go towards the Let’s Go games. I also got my second (and last, because I only have one of each of the Ultra games) Zeraora code while I was there.

It’s Almost Zeraora Time!

Tuesday

Today, I finished Harry and Ginny: A Love Story and watched more of Log Horizon. Well, I got to where it’s currently up to at chapter 33. Like I said yesterday, it hasn’t been updated since 2015, but other story have been posted/updated by the author. The only new chapter today was from Service with a Smile.

With my rewatching of Log Horizon (I looked it up and the light novel finally got a new book out recently after a few years), I decided to look up some of it’s fanfiction. Both of them are about them trying to get home. The first one ‘A Gate Home’ by knaka148 started last year and is only two chapters. In it the two opposing guilds work together to get home. After that, I started rereading an old favorite of mine that had its sequel end relatively recently, ‘Fate’s Gamble’ by Lupine Horror. At its base it’s a Type Moon and Harry Potter crossover, because it has elements from several Type Moon stories. However, because of the Kaleidoscope (and Zelretch insanity) there are a few other stories represented (even if it’s not until later in the story). I really liked this one and enjoyed it and its sequel, ‘Fate’s Gamble: Round Two.’

In the story, Zelretch trying to connect to world’s he’s not on/has died in. He does it wrong and Fate uses the unused power to change several Harry’s destinies. The one the story is about has Harry (age 5) ending up on the Shapeless Isle (the Gorgon’s home. Ya know from Greek Mythology) in Zelretch’s universe. There he meets Stheno and Euryale (Medusa’s sisters, if ya didn’t know) and becomes Zelretch and Waver’s (a least he has one human influence) student. Today was also the release of Gen 4 Pokémon on PoGo! They only released the starters and a few of the beginning Pokémon, but it’s a start. Though I wonder where the rest of Gen 3 is? Who knows, I certainly don’t.

Wednesday

Today was mostly rereading Fate’s Gamble and finishing the first season of Log Horizon. There were a few more new chapters than yesterday including: Harry Potter and the Stargate, several Game On! 3 0 chapters (that finished it off. 4 0 should be next in Yu Yu Hakusho) and Heroes Assemble! and Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Bugging Me (I’m going to call this SAfPBtWSBM … yeah no, how about just Seerking’s Asylum, that works).

Then there was the update for Seerking’s next story on the rotation, ‘Kaien’s Fate, Aizen’s Experiment and Ichigo’s Sister.’ It’s a Bleach story about Kirika, a young soul girl who Aizen and his crew used (along with many others) in an experiment to implant a part of Kaien’s zanpakuto and Metastacia’s energy into another soul. She was the only one to survive and got to the Living World. She’s adopted by the Kurosaki’s and becomes a slightly younger sister to Ichigo before his mother’s attacked. Other than that, I watched the 6^th Detective Conan Movie – The Phantom of Baker Street. It has a VR game that gets taken over by an A.I. who wants the game to be finished to solve a murder. I also learned that Wildbow, the writer of Worm, has started a sequel called “Ward.” As I still haven’t read Worm, I’m not gonna read it yet, but thought those who have read it would like to know.

Thursday

Today was more Fate’s Gamble. I also started rereading one of kb0’s older stories, ‘Harry Potter: Choices.’ It has Harry deciding that he has choices the summer after Fifth year. He decides to take control of his life, starting with who his magical guardian is. This is a Harry/Ginny Soul Bond story. It’s finished and I like it a lot. In yesterday’s Seerking’s Asylum (see isn’t that easier), Seerking mentioned that The Aura King adopted one of his Plot Bunnies. The one called ‘Demon Lord of the Swarm’ (it’s chapters 86 -90 of Seerking’s Asylum) and they renamed it – ‘Demon Lord of the End.’ It has Taylor, after the end of Worm, becoming a Demon Lord in charge of a dungeon. She has to make sure she’s not defeated or the world (the new one, not the Worm one) will be destroyed. There are two chapters and it was only started on the 4^th of this month, so I’m looking forward to a fairly regular update schedule (hopefully). I watched the 10^th Detective Conan Movie – The Private Eye’s Requiem. It has Conan and the crew forced to solve a case or they and their friends will be blow up by watches they put on for a theme park. Didn’t do much more than that.

Oh yeah, I figured I would mention that Zeraora (the newest mythical Pokémon) would be available via code for Game Stop (In America at least) starting tomorrow (again only in America, everyone else has been able to get it for most of this month) til sometime next month (presumablely until before the Let’s Go games come out). Reshiram and Zekrom will also be available until the 28^th (of this month) starting tomorrow at Target. This is for the Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games only. Figured people would want to know. https://www.serebii.net/ is where I find this info if anyone wants to know. It won’t remention the above info until tomorrow, but it will be there.

Since I have a few extra minutes, Yu Yu Hakusho is about Yusuke Urameshi, a delinquent. He dies sacrifices himself to save a kid from a car, only to learn it was pointless. The kid would have survived and no one (not even the afterlife) expected him to do anything. Now he gets a chance to come back to life, but even if he does; his life will be changed forever.

The Long (Holiday) Weekend

Friday

Today I continued rereading Legion, but I didn’t finish and only got to chapter 20. There were some new chapters that I read for Queen of the Seas, Cambion, Mauling Snarks and Parva Sub Ingenti. I also played some Pokémon Sun.

As I might have mentioned in my first post, I have all of the Pokémon on the main games in my Pokémon Bank. When I say that I mean that I have at least one copy of every Pokémon released (I hatched eggs from the fully evolved forms to get it so. I got the mythical ones from the events for the 20^th anniversary.). One day when I was bored, I decided to level all of them up to 100.

It’s not easy let me tell you that. I have ‘level caps’ that I get them to then go to the next one to raise to that level cap. It goes 20, 35, 50, 70, 90 and finally 100. I can proudly say that none of them are less than level 35.

What I’ve done typically is to restart a game that I’ve cleared all but one my Pokémon in (cause one has to be in the party) and start playing. Since none of my target Pokémon are below 35 I train up extra or event Pokémon (like my hat Pikachus. It’s too bad the ones in the original games can’t evolve, I have enough for that. Maybe with the Let’s Go games I’ll be able to transfer some of my hat Raichus. Who knows? I also finally got Celebi on PoGo thanks to the psychic event!

Anyway, the only other story I read was ‘Secrecy’ by Serena530. It’s a Harry Potter story where Harry learns Ron and Dumbledore are betraying him at the beginning of 2^nd year. He starts staying away from Ron and Hermione (because she doesn’t notice the changes Ron forces on him) and becomes friends with Ginny. Watch how Harry and Ginny deal with the challenges that come before them! I like this one, but the author hasn’t updated it in a while. Hm, so I did a lot today. First of all I finished off Legion (wow four chapters, snort). Second I read the new chapters for Queen of the Seas and Relic of the Future. There was also a new chapter for a story called ‘Sealed Legacy’ by Psycho G. It’s a Naruto story where when Naruto is young, Jiraya stumbles upon a Uzumaki seal that when he activates it (not knowing what it does) almost kills him sending his knowledge and chakra to Naruto. Naruto slowly gets this knowledge and gets some of Jiraya’s habits too. It’s a good story but hasn’t been updated in while, so I was surprised to see it. Third, I started rewatching Darker Than Black because I kept getting updates for a story about it from an author I’m following named Brennus. They wrote a one-shot I mentioned earlier called ‘In the Heat of the Night.’ The story was called ‘Darker Than Black – Heaven’s Gate,’ and I rewatched some of it to remember the characters and story.

Darker Than Black is an anime about Hei, who has the ability to control electricity. He is a ‘contractor,’ someone who’s lost their emotions to get a power. They and ‘Dolls’ (those who also lost their emotions, but can track people instead) evolved from some people when the ‘Heaven Gate’ and ‘Hell Gate’ appeared one day. Hei or as he is dubbed ‘The Black Reaper’ works for ‘The Syndicate’ in tracking down targets and information.

Hei is not a normal contractor as he shows some emotions. He works with a Doll named Yin, an animal consciousness transfer contractor (this means that he can transfer his consciousness to animal) who is stuck in a cat’s body after his own died and a bitter human named Huang who doesn’t like contractors who is the leader. Hei wants to find his sister who disappeared and gets caught up in many events.

I only watched 13 of the 24 episodes (for now), but it was enough for what I needed and read the story. It’s okay, the story takes place after the second series and the author kills off the main female protagonist so another can get together with the main character. Fourth, I started looking for a story I couldn’t remember the name of and now I think its been deleted from Fanfiction.net. I have a store of all the stories on it up to 2015 (no, I didn’t make it) that I eventually found a while back. I eventually found it, ‘Survival of the Lamest’ and its sequel ‘Revenge of the Lamest’ by ShadowMajin.

It’s about Gohan’s class (before he goes to school) goes to his home to ‘camp’, silliness ensues. Also, Goku is alive for some reason. The second one is when Gohan actually goes to school. (This is Monday Matt – I was wrong these two are still up, see my day to get more on this.) I also found ‘Impasse’ and ‘Finesse’ by Dr. Trunks Briefs, I’ll talk about theses when I read them. (Monday Matt again, these are gone from ff.net.)

I didn’t read any of these, but if some wants to read them, let me know and I can send them to you. If anyone wants the archive, I’ll look up the link I got it from and send it to you. However just the zip files for them are several GB large each and the A archive (the archive for all the stories that start with A [the original stories not the fanfiction] and their crossovers) is 10.86 GB. So if want the archive make sure you have lots of space.

Moving on, I also read a new story for me called ‘Eighteen Years a Prodigy’ by AUS Wild Thing. It’s a Dragon Ball Z story I found while searching for the above stories. It’s about Videl, Erasa, and Sharpener going to a work-study program at Capsule Corp (CC). There they meet Gohan who has worked for CC (and never gone to school) for 2 years and is the head of Science and Inventing. It’s an interesting story, but slow updates based on it being started in 2015 and the latest update (the 5^th chapter) being in November 2017. The story I mentioned yesterday is called Soul Land and I discovered it yesterday after reading a fanfiction that has it as a crossover with KHR. The fanfiction is a new one by sakurademonalchemist (so soon after the start of Queen of the Seas? Really?) called ‘Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers.’ It has Fon reborn along with the main character and changing the story. Viper/Mammon is also tagged so I assume he/she (the original story never shows their gender) will be in it too. Only one chapter so couldn’t tell how will go. It says it’s crossovered with ManHua/Chinese Comics, but that’s just because there aren’t many fanfictions for Chinese comics (or Korean ones) so they just lump them all together into one category for each country.

Anyway, after reading the chapter I went to find the original story. Soul Land is about Tang San (no, San is his name not a Japanese honorific) who is reincarnated after killing himself for stealing secrets from his clan to help them. At 6 they get a spirit that they can train to get stronger. He gets a Blue Silver Grass (a weak spirit) and a Hammer. He hides the hammer (because none has two spirits) but proves he’s powerful by showing he has lots of spirit power. He goes to an academy to learn how to train his spirit. He has many adventures after that.

I started reading the manga yesterday, but only got to about chapter 21. Today I got to chapter 182. There are currently 212 chapters.

I also read new chapters for The Unseen Hunt, Enough, Queen of the Seas and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers. There were also several new chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet. One of these stories is ‘White’ by Melkor’s Mercy. It’s a Bleach story where Ichigo is eaten by the hollow from the first chapter because Rukia wasn’t in the human world yet. The next one is ‘Under the Sea’ by ginnyrules27. It’s a Harry Potter and “Little Mermaid” crossover. I’d describe the Little Mermaid, but if you haven’t seen it… Go See It Right Now! I mean really, it’s a classic and everyone should be able to say they’ve seen it, even if they hate it. It has the Dudley accidentally trying to drown Harry when he was young. He is found by the Ariel (who is the same age) and Triton makes him a merman. After a few years, Harry is found by McGonagall and Snape who transform him back and erase Harry’s and Ariel’s memories of each other. They meet each other in his fourth year. Finally, I started rereading a Slytherin Harry fanfic called ‘Becoming Alpha’ by Miz636. It has Harry going to Slytherin and trying to combine the houses. This is a great story and I love reading it and it’s sequels. This one goes through third year. The overall story is complete and I really recommend it. Today I mostly finished rereading Becoming Alpha, playing Pokemon Sun and did work around the house. I read the new chapters for Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers, Mauling Snarks and Queen of the Seas. I also read an older fic by sakurademonalchemist (meaning it’s unfinished) called ‘Heart of the Soul.’ It’s a KHR crossover with “Ghost Hunt.” Ghost Hunt is a light novel/anime about a girl named Mai who becomes a part of a paranormal agency who try to help those who are afflicted with those types of problems. It’s good! In the fanfic Mai is a female Tsuna who was run out of the house after her brother erased their mother’s memories of her. This one is also good! The last story I read was ‘By Your Side is Where I Belong’ by TexasBean. It’s a One Piece and Naruto crossover. It has Zoro taking Naruto and Gaara (both 9ish) with him a few years before he would join Luffy. Thus Naruto and Gaara also join the One Piece crew.
