Weekend of a Few Readers – 2019 Version

Hello my friends! It’s another Monday with very little traffic over the weekend. I was wondering why there were no votes on my pole and now it’s obvious that it’s because there was next to no one who had heard about it. I’ll post the link again in this post in the hope that someone will read this and vote – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

Anyway, I spent sometime continuing rereading Taylor Varga, Outfoxed and Neo Yondaime Hokage, finished rereading How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk and Prime Directive: Hero and reread History’s Strongest Disciple Again?! The new chapters for the weekend were from: Ashes to Flame, Mauling Snarks (Fri & Mon), Taylor Varga (Fri, Sat & Sun), Relic of the Future, The Reclamation of Black Magic, Muggleborn Teacher, The Unseen Hunt, The Healing Touch and Tsunami. I wonder if anyone would be interested in me making a page with the fanfiction/online stories links I’ve posted on it. Maybe the next poll if anyone ever votes on this one.

I started off by reading (for the first time) a fanfiction by lazybum89 called ‘A Conversation with the Master of Death.’ It’s an Avengers/Harry Potter crossover that has Phil Coulson meeting with ‘The Master of Death’ when Loki shoots him. He’s surprised to learn that he’s not the only one of the team to have met him. What will happen next? I’ll find out when you do because it only has 3 chapters so far and was last updated in Jan last year. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9594344/1/A-Conversation-with-the-Master-of-Death.

Next I wanted to read a fanfiction, but I hadn’t read the other story it was a crossover with. The webcomic is called “Looking for Group” and is an amusing comic about a Dark Elf named Cale’anon who wants to be a hero, but ends up with people who are villains. This means mostly the first other character he meets, the warlock Richard, who loves killing and setting things on fire. It’s over a thousand pages, but I’ve only read almost 300 currently. The link to the first page is here – https://www.lfg.co/page/1/.

I also reread another of VFSNAKE’s fics called, ‘Rewriting History.’ It’s a Naruto fic about how things went wrong after the last war and Naruto ends up in the past to fix the future, starting with stopping his clan’s village from being destroyed. Watch as he thwarts plots and help those he cares about live happy lives. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11636547/1/Rewriting-History.

Following that, I started read more sakurademonalchemist stories that I haven’t read before (none of which are finished, of course). The first one is called ‘Chaos Hunter,’ which is crossover between Supernatural and Slayers. “Slayers” is an older anime, based off light novels, about a powerful sorceress called Lina Inverse and her companions. She loves money, treasure and food and often overpowers her spells causing tons of damage. It was one of the most popular of the 1990s.

In the fic, she is transported to the Supernatural world and ends up with Sam instead of Jess at the beginning of the series. She works with the Winchesters to find their father and becomes a Hunter of her own. Watch as she changes things up with her Chaos, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11380493/1/Chaos-Hunter.

Next is ‘Wizard’s Law,’ which is a crossover between Harry Potter and “Law and Order: SVU.” Law and Order: SVU (or Special Victims Unit) a show is about detectives in the (fictional) 16th Precinct of New York PD who deal with crimes against children (sexual or otherwise) and the elderly. It’s interesting and I haven’t watched in a while, cause it’s been on since 1999 (on it’s 20th season now). Based on it’s predecessor “Law and Order,” it’s more popular (as evidenced in the fact it’s still going while the other one ended).

The story has the lead female detective, Olivia Benson; finding out Harry Potter is her distant cousin. He is sent to live with her after 4th year and decides he doesn’t want to go back. In-between baking sweets for the precinct and foiling the attempts of the order to get him back, his life is still anything but normal. Here is the link to the story – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11349550/1/Wizard-s-Law.

Then came ‘The Greatest Prank,’ which the one I read Looking for Group for, as it crossovers with Harry Potter in this fic. After first year, Harry sends an owl message to (what he believes is) a fictional warlock named Richard. When he goes to Hogwarts for his second year, he finds out that self-same Richard is the new DADA teacher. What will be in store for the poor denizens of Hogwarts with him in castle? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11246463/1/The-Greatest-Prank.

Following that was ‘A Deal Made in Good Faith,’ which is proof sakurademonalchemist can write longer fics (42 chapters, but still not finished). It’s a crossover mainly between Harry Potter and Supernatural, but there are others stories in there. Female Harry accidentally performs a demon summoning ritual and Crowley comes to investigate. Finding her, he makes a deal with Petunia for her and takes her to Hell. However, she is not tortured or turned into a demon. He wants to use her to finally get the contracts on Voldemort and Dumbledore that are overdue. Follow her as she works to get them or pay their price herself. All of which can be found, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10916724/1/A-Deal-Made-in-Good-Faith.

‘Curses and Cures’ is the next one. It’s a crossover between Ranma ½ and Fruits Basket. Kyo goes on a training trip to China and finds himself with a curse from the Jusenkyo. This is not a great thing, but he finds out it nulls his Cat curse when active. Using this and his new skills from training with the Amazons, he’ll take the Fruits Basket world by storm. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11290729/1/Curses-and-Cures.

Finally, I read ‘Back in Black,’ which is primarily a Harry Potter and Supernatural crossover. Years after defeating Voldemort, Harry finds he can’t live in his loveless life anymore and asks Death to reincarnate him where he’ll have love in his life. Death reincarnates him as Dean Winchester, with no immediate access to his previous life. Watch as a Harry-influenced Dean changes the plans made by demon and angel, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10631516/1/Back-in-Black.

Warning!  There are male-male relationships in this story. It’s not for a while, but it’s pretty blatant later (but no sex scenes). If that offends you, or you just don’t want to read it, follow my policy, “Don’t Like, Don’t Read.” It’s just that simple.

That’s it for the weekend, thanks for reading and hope more people do. Remember to vote on the poll and I’ll y’all on Thursday!

I Changed the Archive and Made a Poll (Please Vote!)

Hey everyone! It’s been a week and no one has liked (or really read) any or the posts since I started this style of writing. Therefore, I made a poll that I’ll put a link to at the beginning of the post for the next week while I continue with this style. After those two weeks, I’ll look at the result and use the winning style from now on. Please take some time to vote here – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

I’ve also redone the archive section like I mentioned last time. The only direct chapter links in the Archive will be from the current month. When we get to February, I’ll move the January post links to a January page and put a link to it in Archive. When 2019 ends (and I hopefully will still be posting and have more people reading my posts), I’ll do what I did with my 2018 posts and move the month links to a new 2019 page that will be linked on the main Archive page.

These past few days I’ve read some more of Outfoxed and Lord Over the Night Sky and started rereading Prime Directive: Hero, How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk and Taylor Varga. The new chapters were from: Tsunami, Service with a Smile, Reality Bites Worm, My Hero Academia (manga chapter), It’s in the Cards, Heroes Assemble!, Taylor Varga and Death March (the online story).

Since I liked the fanfic Archer from last post, I decided to look into other stories by the author Fencer22. The first one that caught my eye was ‘Flames’ which is a Worm and KHR crossover. The only real crossover is that Taylor triggers with Dying Will flames, but not Sky. Instead of the normal Taylor’s outlook of becoming a Hero, this Taylor is more practical and wants money to prepare for the imminent end of the world (and explains why she thinks so). It’s interesting, though it only has 13 chapters. If you would like to read it, here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13042230/1/Flames.

The other one I found interesting was ‘Grind,’ which is a Worm and multiple crossover fic. It has Taylor triggering with the power to enter any type of story (Book, DVD or game) and gain the power(s) of whatever characters she or anyone she brings along play as. The only issue, they have to go through the whole story. For example, when she goes into the first book, she’s stuck ‘reading’ the book and doing whatever the main character does for four hours until the end of it, basically outing herself. It’s a good story, sadly the author decided they could not write it anymore and just posted a spattering of scenes leading up to an ‘ending’ for the last chapter. So, if you feel you can read it and not be disappointed with that ending, feel free to read it here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11375309/1/Grind.

Next, sakurademonalchemist posted a new story called, ‘Breaking the Gilded Cage.’ It’s a KHR and Natsume’s Book of Friends crossover, with a female Tsuna turning back time to her younger self to get away from the Vongola and instead taking the route of Takashi from Natsume’s Book of Friends. It’s only two chapters long so far, but it’s not bad. Kinda hard to make a decision about how a story will be in two chapters. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13166072/1/Breaking-the-Gilded-Cage.

Following that I found the fic ‘Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R-eset’ by Starlight’s Poet. It’s a Lelouch of the Rebellion story with side stories like Code Geass: Akito of the Exiled and game storylines included. It starts off with Lelouch getting the chance to relive his rebellion from the start and him taking it. He’s more powerful this time and knows what happened to his mother, so he can focus on taking down Britannia. The story is interesting and I haven’t finished it yet up to the current chapter yet, so I hope it continues to be so. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10704227/1/Code-Geass-Lelouch-of-the-Rebellion-R-eset.

Finally, I started rereading ‘Neo Yondaime Hokage’ by Psycho G. The story is a Naruto one where Minato not only seals the Kyuubi into Naruto; he also seals himself. Naruto grows up as Tsunade’s ‘son’ and soon finds multiple women after him. But, just because he is stronger doesn’t mean he’ll bulldoze through fights. He still will have issues, just different ones than the normal ones. He even accidentally visits the ‘canon’ universe and changes things for the better! It hasn’t been updated since 2015, but hopefully it will eventually be updated. Here is the link to the story – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3201446/1/Neo-Yondaime-Hokage.

Going back to more of what I watched during my ‘Christmas break from blogging’ (I’ll be doing one or two movies/shows for the next few posts because I watched a lot during that time period) I watched “The Mummy Returns” from the Mummy series. I’ve seen it and the rest of the series before, but I always enjoy rewatching them. Watching Rick and Evelyn O’Conner battle it out against Imhotep while trying to save their son is great. I was sad Evelyn didn’t return for the third movie, but it was good anyway. Not sure which one is my favorite, though the third one was probably my least favorite. I would recommend any of them though if you haven’t watched them yet!

To finish it off, I watched “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” I would have liked it better if I had read the story before hand, but it was what was decided to watch at that time. I found it interesting, even if I missed the first part. I’ll probably read the books sometime, but I think I’ll like the books better because it looks like they just crammed the second book at least into the last 30 mins of the movie.

Anyway, that’s the end of the post today! Look forward to the post on Monday and don’t forget to vote! Here’s the link again, just in case – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

Happy 2019!

Happy New Year! So this on this last weekend of the year 2018, I actually have less than normal because I had work today and Friday. I finished rereading Light the Blue Touch Paper and Run Like Hell and Harry Potter and the Dark Lady. The new chapters this weekend were: Ashes to Flame, Mauling Snarks (Fri & Mon), Relic of the Future, Gun Bunny, 4 chapters of An Essence of Silver and Steel, Reading Chronicles Book 1: To the Victor, the Spoils, Heroes Assemble!, The Unseen Hunt, and Deku: The Telekenetic Hero.

Again, I’ll start with the fanfiction and movie to TV shows and movies after that. The first one I’ll talk about is ‘Lord Over the Night Sky’ by Triser. It’s a Harry Potter and Lyrical Nanoha crossover where Vernon takes Harry to Japan when they first get him and drop him off at an orphanage. Harry ends up with Hayate and gets the ‘Book of Darkness’ instead of her. Things change and do so even more when Harry (and the others) gets his letter to Hogwarts. The chapters are shorter and the spelling is sometimes off, but it’s good otherwise. I’ve only reread 17 chapters of the 114, but this is also the first of several stories in the storyline. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7018702/1/Lord-Over-the-Night-Sky.

Next is ‘Outfoxed’ by hazeleyes180. It’s a Naruto fic where a female Kyuubi trains Naruto after things happen when he’s younger. It’s a harem fic for Naruto with girls like Hinata and Anko. He gets stronger fast, but it doesn’t mean things are easier for him. There’re no R Rated things, but they do skirt around it. The unfortunate thing is that it hasn’t been updated since August 2016. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8211184/1/Outfoxed.

Following that is the (current) last story in the Witches Secret triology, ‘Harry Potter and the Corvinus Strain.’ The story is mostly on the Witches Secret fanfiction story, it’s just missing the last two chapters. These last two can be found on the Yahoo group Rotaryfile. It mixes strongly with Underworld series. As I haven’t watched it, I can’t say anything about how the author portrays it. It’s interesting, but there’s really no one who can stop Harry in the story.

Then there was ‘Archer’ by Fencer22. It’s a Worm and Fate/Stay Night crossover where Taylor gets Archer (Counter Guardian EMIYA) as her powers, with him teaching her how to use them. She’s put under Master/Stranger protocols immediately and has to deal with them for a while. There were eight chapters when I read it, but a new chapter came out today. It’s good and I look forward to it continuing. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13137917/1/Archer.

I also read another new story by Selector called, ‘Titanfall.’ It’s a Titanfall and Worm crossover, with Taylor calling a Titan with an AI when she Triggers. It’s interesting, but only 4 chapters so far. Again, never played Titanfall, so I can’t comment on it.  Taylor’s been out all four chapters, so it will be fun once she’s up. Find out here at this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13083668/1/Titanfall.

I haven’t watched anything this weekend, but I never finished what I saw last week. The first I’ll mention is “Meet the Robinsons.” I really like this movie and the music in it. It’s about a child inventor, Lewis, who thinks he’ll never amount to anything and how a young boy, Wilber, from the future works to change his mind. It’s has a good theme of never give up and to ‘Keep Moving Forward.’ This is a great movie for all ages.

I also watched “Kubo of the Two Strings” for the first time. It was a great movie, but a sad one. I was called to help with something for the last scene, but luckly I have it here at home and was able to finish it recently. It was a different kind of animation, but it wasn’t bad. Also a great movie for all ages.

I watched part one episode of “Love It of List It” on HGTV. It was okay. The wife was kinda, I don’t really want to stay here, but I think any of the ones I’m being shown are right either. I didn’t see the end, but hopefully they found what they wanted.

I also watched a few episodes of ‘Property Brothers’ (yeah, there were a lot of building/buy house shows on, I know). It was interesting, but there a lot of issues and the main episode I saw had rich kids buying their first house and calling daddy for extra money of unnecessary additions. So, I’d have to see more to really get an opinion.

I’ll also be making a 2018 section for the archive this week, look forward to it. See everyone on Thursday and have a happy start to 2019!

A Different Way of Writing

Hello everyone, I’m going to try something different for today’s post. Instead of going day by day, I’m going to just do the whole week (post) together and see how it looks. If people like this style better (after a trial week following this one), I will adopt this one instead of the old style (and vis versa). The chapters that updated this week were: Black Sky (Fri, Sat), Ashes to Flame, Memories of Iron, Devil Arts Online, Mauling Snarks (Fri, Mon, Tues [Omake]), Tsunami (Fri, Tues), History Strongest Disciple Again? (the story I beta), By Your Side is Where I Belong, Heroes Assemble (Sat, Wed), Reality Bites Worm, Jaune Ryu-Long, The Dragon Contractor, Alea lacta Est, The Reclamation of Black Magic, Deku: The Golden Saiyan Hero of Hope, God Slaying Blade Works, A Sith’s Second Chance, and Devil Ninja.

Next, I’ll go through the fanfiction I read this week, followed by what I watched. I reread Reality Bites Worm, started rereading The XXXX You Say and started rereading Light the Blue Touch Paper and Run Like Hell. The first new story I reread was from sakurademonalchemist and it was called, ‘Rise of the Black Dragon.’ This is another Harry Potter and KHR crossover with Harry being Xansus this time. He is left in the trash in Italy when he was young and found by Xansus’ mom after the ‘original’ Xansus was killed by one of her patrons. Events follow, but he knows that the Ninth is not is dad and he ends up at Hogwarts. It’s interesting and has 13 chapters currently. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12787598/1/Rise-of-the-Black-Dragon.

The second story I reread by them is ‘Between Lies and Truth,’ which is a KHR and Harry Potter story, again. It has Colonello being a Harry Potter who ran away from England to get away from everything and joined Comsubin (Italian Navy). Lal Mitch discovers that there is much more to her new student than a happy go lucky sniper. There are 10 chapters and it can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12903809/1/Between-Lies-and-Truth.

The next from them that I reread is called ‘If Only You Knew’ and is the previous story switched. It’s a Harry Potter and KHR crossover where Lal Mitch is a female Harry and Colonello helps her deal with the PTSD that no-one else could help her with. It’s eleven chapters and is located here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12510267/1/If-You-Only-Knew.

The last from sakurademonalchemist is called ‘Sound of Flames’ and is a pure KHR fic (with some Cardcaptor stuff thrown in). It has a female Tsuna, losing her sight after her flames are sealed. This leads to Hibari finding her sooner and helping her out. Watch how she learns to get around her handicap and still become a great potential boss. The link can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12443581/1/Sound-of-Flames.

Next I read a completely new story (for me) by them called, ‘Shield Wizard.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Rising of the Shield Hero crossover. Rising of the Shield Hero is a story about a boy named ‘Naofumi Iwatani’ who is one of four summoned to be a hero in a new world. However, as he only has a shield, he is not very powerful. After he is betrayed by those who should have been his friends, he becomes cynical and only really trusts those he has control over (like slaves). It was originally a web comic, but is now a light novel and will have an anime soon after the new year.

In the fic, Harry is summon instead of Naofumi and skips being betrayed because he expects it after being a ‘hero’ before. He still befriends some from the original story, but I haven’t read much of the original, so I can’t really say how well it follows it. Still it can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11372046/1/Shield-Wizard.

Next I read a story by Quatermass called ‘Knight of Betrayal and Taiga Cub,’ which is a Harry Potter and Fate/Stay Night crossover. It has the Dursley’s dying in the Fuyuki Fire and Taiga taking Harry in. When Harry goes to Hogwarts for the TriWizard Tournament, he finds Mordred (female) healed and kept under stasis until he found her. He takes her with him back to Japan and she (as a powerful human not a Heroic Spirit) is still around for the Fifth Grail War. Watch as she tries to get something from her ‘Father’ that she hasn’t had before, acceptance, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13145171/1/Knight-of-Betrayal-and-Taiga-Cub.

I then read some new stories from the author of ‘The XXXX You Say,’ Selector, starting with ‘Trekking.’ It’s a Worm fic has Taylor having a different triggering event, which leaves her paraplegic and only able to move her eyes. Her powers eventually fix that, and she can control animals, but her main skill is to be able to make any tech from the Star Trek universe. It currently has 16 chapters and is interesting. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13071083/1/Trekking.

Next was ‘Gun Bunny’ which has Taylor triggering with an ability similar to Miss Miltia’s but with the power to make the gun/war machine real after a certain time, if it’s left out. She takes over the Merchants with a healed Squealer and make it more a protector (gang) instead of a drug dealing one. Watch as she, like any good Taylor, escalates, until she gets the right result. This fic’s link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13046274/1/Gun-Bunny.

Next is a Harry Potter fic with a slight Underworld crossover by the same author called, ‘Harry Potter and the Witches Secret.’

R Rated Content

This fic has Harry ‘Bonding’ tons of witches because he was not taught to control his power and thus attracts witches that are magically compatible. This is not just a Sex fic, but it has a lot of it.

R Rated Content

Harry reforms Britain and has many people under his command. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12575091/1/Witches-Secret.

The ‘sequel’ is called ‘Harry Potter and the Dark Lady,’ and I am in the middle of reading it. It is included in the previous story right after the other story ends. It has Harry dealing with a Dark Lady who wants him, but won’t play nice. However, the author also has a Yahoo group with all their fics, which can be found here – https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Rotaryfile/files.

While I was with my relatives, we watched many things (including football, which I don’t normally do, except for the Superbowl). One thing that always seemed to be on was a buying or building house shows. One of these was “My Lottery Dream Home” on HGTV. It has host David Bromstad helping lottery winners find their dream home. It’s interesting, but I thought that other than if I really needed a new place, I wouldn’t blow all that money I just won finding the ‘perfect’ house. (Not that I play the lottery or gamble, but that’s a different story). It’s okay to watch, but not too great to do in real life.

Next was “Maine Cabin Masters”, which has a builder, Chase Morrill, working with family and friends to help save abandoned cabins and get them ready for their new owners. This one was okay, but I felt that some of the drama was contrived a little bit to make it more interesting. I would suggest it, but only after watching it a little bit more.

There was also “Building Off the Grid” where they document people building in the middle of no-where. The one I watched was where they were building a survival cabin on a glacier in Alaska. It was interesting, but it looked very cold and I’m not sure I could have done it.

Moving On, we also watched a few episodes of the series “Bones” that ended recently. Even though I’m not really interested in the gory things, this show was really interesting. I’ve watched all the seasons except for the last few ones, and that will happen soon. The character ‘Bones’ and her partner, Booth, are some of my favorite TV personalities.

To finish up (I’ll talk about other things I watched next time) I also saw Mary Poppins Returns and Bumblebee in theaters and will talk about them. First off, Mary Poppins Returns is a great sequel to the original. It has the original Banks children grown up and Michael has children of his own. When an issue comes up, Mary Poppins shows up to help her older charges and her newer ones. I really love this movie and love that they include little parts in the music where you can hear parts of the original movie’s songs in it.

Spoilers

From the very beginning, Mary Poppins knows what needs to happen, but if everything was resolved quickly, none of her charges would have learned anything. So, she sets everything up so that everyone can have a learning experience. Even if the cliché of having everything fixed at the last minute exists in it.

Spoilers

Bumblebee is also a really good movie. I enjoyed hearing his original voice and learning how he got his name. It showed the American’s first contact with the Autobots and Decepticons. I liked the main female lead, Charlie, but I felt that she very much overshadowed all but John Cena’s character Agent Burns, for the humans at least. Good movie, just needs a stronger ‘human’ cast.

Spoilers

The amount of ‘The Breakfast Club’ references in the movie was amusing. There was even a Rick Roll in there. I don’t know what happens between this movie and the first Transformers movie, but I found interesting parallels between Charlie finding Bumblebee in a junkyard and Sam finding him in a used car lot. Maybe in the next of, however many more movies there’ll be, we’ll find out.

Spoilers

Thanks for reading and like or comment on this post if you prefer this format or not. See everyone on New Years Eve for the last post of the year!

Edit – Forgot the links, fixed!

Happy Early Christmas!!

Tuesday

Hello mina! Today, I read more God Slaying Blade Works. The new chapters today were from Black Sky and Reality Bites Worm. I also watched some Eyeshield 21 anime.

I read some comics from project-ml on DeviantArt. They are all based on Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and were typically about the reveal of each other’s identities. The first one was ‘Love Bug’ and is set around Valentines Day a year from the one in first season and has 5 chapters. The rest are shorter, but some of them are called: ‘Why Chat Does Not Prank His Lady’ and ‘Halloween Reveal.’ These can be found at their gallery here – https://www.deviantart.com/project-ml/gallery/.

There was also a short chapter from another Miraculous story called ‘Email Exchange’ by XphiaDP. Instead of the characters getting their Miraculous, they are set up with a secret email exchange with another student who you don’t know the name of. The story follows the emails between ‘Ladybug’ and ‘Chat Noir.’ The link to the fic can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12242473/1/Email-Exchange.

There was also a fun little one-piece from the Fate universe called ‘Shirou and Lancer Drink Tea’ by Lord Mendasuit. Instead of Lancer killing Shirou again at his house, Shirou offers him tea and informs him that he is a mage, thus doesn’t need to be killed. This leads to amusing events and an interesting conclusion. It also reminded me of a fun little omake at the end of chapter 41 of From Fake Dreams that has waffles changing the course of the Fifth Grail War. The link to the one piece is here –  https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10734607/1/Shirou-and-Lancer-Drink-Tea and the link to the chapter with the omake is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7207791/41/From-Fake-Dreams.

That’s it for today, folks. See you tomorrow!

Wednesday

It was once again a day full of God Slaying Blade Works and watching some more Eyeshield 21. The new chapters today were from: Black Sky, Organization 13 and a Half, It’s in the Cards, and Heroes Assemble! I also reread another one of sakurademonalchemist’s stories that I haven’t mentioned yet.

This one is called ‘Sight Unseen’ and is a crossover between Natsume’s Book of Friends and KHR. It has a female Tsuna getting taken from his mother’s custody and placed with her grandfather. Then she takes on the role of Takashi from Natusme’s Book of Friends. Oh, did I mention that she’s been shunted back to her younger self and has the gamer system? Watch how this mash-up turns out, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12904481/1/Sight-Unseen.

Since it came out on DVD yesterday, I also took the time to rent “A House with a Clock in Its Walls” with Jack Black. It’s based on the book of the same name by John Bellairs. When his parents die, Lewis is sent to his Uncle Johnathan. However, his Uncle and his neighbor Florence seem to hiding something. He eventually learns that magic is real and the house is alive (and likes him). He starts to learn magic himself. But, what’s with that clock that’s inside the walls? I liked this movie, but I’m glad I waited until it was available to rent because it wouldn’t have been worth seeing in theaters.

Nothing more for today people, see everyone when I post tomorrow!

Thursday

It was God Slaying Blade Words and Eyeshield 21 again, but I also started rereading It’s in the Cards as well. There were new chapters from: Under the Sea, Demon Lord of the End, Black Sky (chapter 300!), and Mending the Knots. I also saw a trailer for a new Men In Black called Men in Black International. It has Liam Neeson, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in it and looks interesting. It’s in theaters in June next year.

The only other thing I did today (other than play some of the new proud mode levels on KHUx) was watch the ending and then the beginning of two movies on TV. I watched the later half of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”  To be honest I’m a bigger fan of the first movie, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”  While I like Johnny Depp, I felt this character and story was trying too hard.  Maybe I’m just biased, but those are my thoughts on it.

I watched the beginning of “The Santa Clause 2.” I agree with what some of my relatives said, that it’s the best of the three movies. My list goes: 2, 1, and then 3. The first one is good, and a classic, but the second one has a much better story and plot (in my opinion). The third was just another example of a franchise trying to overreach itself. If they had stopped at the second one I would have been perfectly happy.

That concludes today! I have decided skip next Monday’s post on Christmas (Happy Early Christmas/Holidays Everyone!), so my next post will be next Thursday. See you then!

The End of the Death March (for now)

Tuesday

Today was once again, more Death March. I got only got to part 30 of act 16, but that was because I finished watching SkywardWing’s play through of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded. The new chapters for today were from Service with a Smile, Paranormal Investigator Squad (now with a 5 Nights at Freddie’s crossover), It’s in the Cards and Reality Bites Worm. I also started watching Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, also from SkywardWing. After that it’s just 0.2 and Back Cover (since I’m playing and keeping up with Kingdom Hearts Unionx on my phone) and I’ll be ready for Kingdom Hearts 3 next year! I also forgot to mention, make sure you watch the new opening movie trailer for KH3 with the new theme, Face My Fears, it’s great. I’ll put a link here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VawSnaxtSI.

I’ll talk about a show that I rewatched a little bit of today called Princess Tutu. It’s about a story about a Prince and a Raven’s battle that wasn’t completed because the author died, escaping into the real world. However, the author made sure he would be able to direct things even if he died. Because things weren’t moving along, the author introduced a new element to the story, by giving a duck that had fallen in love with the Prince the ability to turn into a girl. She is also the only one who can return his heart shards to him (he shattered his heart to seal away the Raven). However, is this what he really wants?

It’s a pretty good, if a bit dark at times, story. It’s based on ballet and Duck’s or Ahiru in the Japanese version (which means duck anyway) transformed state, Princess Tutu, helps whichever character is in trouble that episode by dancing with them. There’s a dark twist in the middle and the ‘author’ is working against them most of the time, but I’ve always enjoyed it anyway. The first line of the anime is ‘Once upon a time, there was a man who died.’ Be sure to look it up.

That’s it for today, see everyone tomorrow!

Wednesday

I finished Death March today! Or at least up to where the story is currently. I’m glad I read it since the 78th part update cause I would have been worried until the next one if it had ended on the 77th. The next post on the Japanese story will be on the 16th, so I suspect that it will be translated on the 17th or 18th so I’ll look for it then. The new chapters for today were – Another Fine Mess, Seperated at Birth, Warlock Organization 13 and a half, and Heroes Assemble!

I started rereading the fanfiction ‘God Slaying Blade Works by Marcus Galen Sands. It’s a crossover between Fate/Heaven’s Feel and Campione! where when Illya and Shirou are about to face Angra Mayu, they are transported (because of the Grail and Rin’s use of the Kaleidoscope) to the Campione! world. Shirou kills Angra Mayu and becomes a campione. He works with Illya to get home to Sakura, while trying to figure out what to do with his new powers and friends. He joins the main story after the fight with Voban. I enjoy this story, but I wish it was updated more frequently. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8560965/1/God-Slaying-Blade-Works.

That’s all I did today, other than sleeping a lot. Looking forward to posting tomorrow!

Thursday

Today I continued reading God Slaying Blade Works, along with a few chapters of Desperately Seeking Ranma. The only new chapters that came out today is for Master Potter of Kamar-Taj. I also finished rewatching Princess Tutu, which was as good as I remember it being.

The only new thing I read today was “Roku de nashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records” or “Akashic Records of a Bastard Magic Instructor” by Tarō Hitsuji. It’s about Glenn Radars, who is a lazy person that has been mooching off his former magic instructor for a year. She forces him to become a magic instructor at a famous magic school, even though he hates magic. There he meets Rumia Tingel and Sistine Fibel who he eventually takes a liking to and all three help each other through the coming events. Though he’s like this now, he was once an assassin for the crown and he uses those skills to take on the opponents that try to harm his students. It was originally a light novel (that has 13 volumes and is still ongoing), it now has an anime and a manga version. I read the first book and watched all 12 episodes of the anime today. It’s pretty good and I’ll want to read the rest, but we still don’t really know what the Akashic Records are.

Also, thought I haven’t used it myself, I’m aware that PVP became available on PoGo today. I’ll try it out soon and mention what I think of it on here. I’m also going to look into making a page where you can see the archived posts without having to search through the main page, look forward to it!  See you when I post again on Monday!

It’s a Death March Weekend!

Friday

Today (and most of this weekend, at least) I’ll be rereading and then catching up with the web novel I mentioned last post, Death March. I got the 43rd part of the 10th act before I started writing this post. The new chapters today are – Ashes to Flame, Tsunami, and Mauling Snarks.

There was also a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned yet, ‘Devil Ninja’ by The Engulfing Silence. It’s a crossover between Naruto and High School DxD, where Naruto ends up in the DxD world with no chakra. He ends up at Kuoh Academy a month before the start of DxD, how will his being there change things? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9775478/1/Devil-Ninja.

R Rated Content

Yeah, so this one does have sex and sexual situations in it. Just in case anyone doesn’t want to read that stuff (or is underage).

R Rated Content

The extra story I’ll talk about today is one I mentioned earlier, “The Prince of Tennis” (it was when I was talking about the abundance (and variety) of sports manga/anime. The Prince of Tennis is a story by Takashi Konomi about a young tennis prodigy named Ryoma Echizen who just returned from America with his family. He ends up at Seishun Academy (it’s a middle school) and joins its strong tennis team. After beating some of his seniors, he ends up on the team’s regulars. They work together to try and get to and win the National Middle School Tennis Championship. However Ryoma also wants to get better to win against his Dad (who’s much better than him). It’s an older series, but it’s still popular. The original series ran for 42 manga volumes and had 178 episodes. It has a sequel ongoing called “New Prince of Tennis” which is about after the Nationals and onto the Worlds. I recommend this one very much.

Nothing more today, see everyone tomorrow!

Saturday

Once again, I read more Death March and got to near the middle of the 13th act at part 20. The new chapters for today were Reincarnation Roulette, Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! There was really nothing else today, so onto my replacement story, next paragraph!

I’ll go more in-depth for another story I mentioned about when I talked about sports, “Eyeshield 21” by Riichiro Inagaki. It’s about Sena Kobayakawa, a high school freshman at Deimon High who is a frequent gopher for bullies. His childhood friend, Mamori, protects him, but he finds it embarrassing. The only thing he has going for him is his speed. The devil captain and quarterback of the ‘American Football’ club (yeah, so looked this up and it turns out that this and football of the rest of the world have the same base sport that split when football decided to not use hands. Soccer was a slang term for “Association Football” (no hands) in Europe, but is now only used in North America. Don’t know why “Rugby Football” decided to drop ‘Rugby’, but now there are two footballs. Who knew), Hiruma sees him and tricks him into becoming the third member of the team (along with Kurita, a lineman) as the running back (they borrow members from other teams until they eventually get a full roster). To hide his identity, Sena pretends to be the manager and during the games wears a tinted Eyeshield and has the number 21 (thus Eyeshield 21). Sena gains confidence and grows as they strive to get to the Christmas Bowl. This is another oldie, but goodie. It has 37 manga volumes and 145 anime episodes.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Love Ya, Tomorrow. You’re Only a Day Away!

Sunday

I only got to the end of part 13 of Death March today, but that’s because I reread (and caught up on) Deku: The Golden Saiyan Hero of Hope that had a new chapter today. The other new chapters were from An Unseen Hunt and an omake for Taylor Varga. Once more I read nothing else new, so its time for the talk about another series!

This time is “Cross Game” a baseball series by Mitsuru Adachi, who has written several other baseball and sport series. Cross Game is about Ko Kitamura, who is a great pitcher. His childhood friend, Wakuba Tsukishima (the second daughter in the family), treats him as her boyfriend and wants him and her sister Aoba (the third daughter) to get along. Her last dream she relays to them before she dies in an accident while they’re in elementary school is for them (Ko and Aoba) to go to Koshien (the high school baseball championship) together. He eventually joins the baseball team in high school and she becomes the manager because she can’t join the team (even though she hates him, mostly). They overcome the team’s difficulties and work toward their goal of making that dream come true. It’s a sweet story, though it has a sad beginning. It has 17 volume of manga and 50 anime episodes (I really love the opening and closing themes!). I very much hope you read/watch this one.

See everyone when I post tomorrow! (also did anyone else see the new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 with part of the new opening theme! It looks and sounds great, though I’m sad we won’t be able to hear the full version unless we pre-order/get the album and even then not until it comes out on Jan 18 a week before the game comes out).

Monday

So today I got to part 20 of act 15 (the middle of it) of Death March. There are only 16 acts currently, but it (again currently) has 78 parts and an intermission. I may finish tomorrow, but I should be finished on Wednesday at the latest. The new chapters today are Mauling Snarks and How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.

There was a new chapter for a story from ack1308 called, ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ It’s a Worm fic where Danny and his wife Annette were a hitman team called Dark. They stopped after Taylor was born, but when Taylor is put in the locker and her favored dog (only in this fic) is stolen, he dons his former identity to get back the dog and get revenge for his daughter. It only had 3 chapters (and is infrequently updated), but it has an interesting beginning. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11811377/1/Are-You-Afraid-of-the-Dark.

For today’s new series, I’ll take a break from the sports and Japanese stories. “The Hardy Boys” by several people under the pen name Franklin W. Dixon is an older children’s mystery series about brothers Frank and Joe Hardy. They’re teenagers who are amateur detectives, following after their father who is also one. They usually assist their father or stumble onto something with his cases. The original series was started in 1927, but were revised in 1959 to be less racist and simpler. It ran until 2005, when “Undercover Brothers” started. That ran until 2012 and “The Hardy Boys Adventures” started in 2013. The original series has 190 books (though some only consider the first 58 to be ‘canon’). It’s a fun series for your kids, I should know I read some when I was young!

See you, my readers, when I post on Thursday!

The Start of Death March (and the first post with no Harry Potter in it 0_0)

Tuesday

Today, I read a few more Ashes of the Past. The new chapters today are Ripples and Reality Bites Worm. I also read more stories from ack1308.

The first one of the two is ‘Wyvern,’ which is a Worm fic where Taylor triggers into a wyvern instead. She can change into it when she’s afraid and change back when she’s comfortable/happy. Glory Girl finds her and she decides to join New Wave. Basically she and Lung change power sets. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11426471/1/Wyvern.

The second one is called ‘I’m HALPING’ another Worm fic. It has an unnamed human-shaped Endbringer (who’s eventually named ‘Zachary’), whose purpose is to protect Taylor Hebert. He lets her out of the locker immediately, but is hounded by the PRT and Protectorate. Watch how he protects her while trying to learn how to joke, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12056068/1/I-m-HALPING.

Next, I read a fic called, ‘The Last Master’ by Woona The Cat. Its an Unlimited Blade Works and Fate Grand Order crossover where Shirou takes the place of the main character in the game (because of Zelretch shenanigans of course). He changes things, but still becomes the last master of Chaldea. It’s only 5 chapters and not finished yet, but has been updated recently.  Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12588900/1/The-Last-Master

Following I read a Star Wars fic called, ‘I Know: Or, How Ahsoka Tano Saved the Skywalkers’ by Sianshanya. It has Ahsoka finding out that Anakin and Padmé are together and before she leaves tells him to confide in Obi-Wan. This saves Anakin from falling to the Dark Side and leads to a different story. See the changes, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11601649/1/I-Know-Or-How-Ahsoka-Tano-Saved-the-Skywalkers.

I also started something else, but as it’s a long story I’ll just talk about it tomorrow. See you then!

Wednesday

There’s nothing from former stories other than new chapters, so here they are: Lucy Heartfilia and the World of the Gods, Organization 13 and a Half, Mauling Snarks (Omake), It’s in the Cards, Master Potter of Kamar-Taj and Heroes Assemble! I finally finished my Let’s Go Pokedex (except for Melmetal, but that will take a while. Only almost 200 candies so far and I need 400) and caught a shiny Weedle on Let’s Go Pikachu.

The only other thing I read today was – Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku (or Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody). While there are light novels (several versions, if I’ve read correctly), a manga and an anime (1 season), I’m reading the translation of the original web novel (which is still ongoing). I’ve read it before up to where it was at then in the 16th part somewhere (The parts get longer with each progressive one. For example the first one has 10 sections and the tenth one has 51 sections, 7 Intermissions and 13 short stories).

It’s about a Japanese 20 something year old programmer who goes to sleep and wakes up in a fantasy world looking 15. He’s level 1 in the middle of no-where and the only special thing he has is a menu, an all-map identify spell and 3 map clear meteor spells (in all but the original web novel, he’s about to be attacked by lizard people). He activates the meteor spell and becomes over level 300. He then goes through this world meeting people and trying to be a sightseer (he fails and gets into many situations to help people) and find out why he ended up here (I think we know the basics when I got to the current chapter back then, but you find out much later). It’s fun, but I’ll be stuck on this for a while cause I’m only just starting the 6th act (I’ll make sure to write about something else too, so don’t worry). The link to the translated web novel is here – https://www.sousetsuka.com/p/blog-page_11.html.

That’s all for today, I’ll post tomorrow!

Thursday

I read more of Death March (I’ll just call it this) today and got to the 13th section of the 9th part. The only new chapter was for Seerking’s Asylum (he’s on break for the holidays on the normal schedule), but there was a rewrite notice for chapter 5 of Konsō and a poll notice for Broken Dreams. I also went to my town’s festival today about a Christmas drink (there were many variations of it, along with singing and food.

As I only read Death March, I’ll talk about the Accel World light novel series by Reki Kawahara. It’s about a fat student named Arita Haruyuki who lives in a future where people can have chips implanted that can have their brains jacked into the computer. His avatar is very nimble, but that’s the only thing he has going for him (he’s bullied, his two childhood friends are going out and he’s the third wheel). When he meets the beautiful Kuroyukihime, he joins the program Brain Burst and enters the Accelerated World where he uses his skills to help her beat everyone else (and escape his current reality). It’s still being published, but there are 23 novels out now along with a manga, a few anime seasons and a movie.

Nothing more for today, see everyone after the weekend on Monday!

There’s more sakurademonalchemist this weekend (and some movies)

Friday

Today I started rereading the Pick Up the Piece series and got part way through the second one Move On. There were new chapters for – Tsunami, Viridescent, A Smile on Your Face and a Song in Your Heart, Mauling Snarks, Taylor Varga and Stand Together and Smile. I read more new sakurademonalchemist stories also.

The first one is called ‘Moon Sword’ and it is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Fate/Stay Night. It has Usagi and Shirou switching places in the fire (meaning Usagi was there for the fire and had her memories wiped, then Usagi ended up with Kiritsugu and Shirou was adopted into Usagi’s family, who thought she was dead). It also had the Moon and ‘Atlantis’ (where Endymion lived) around the time of Babylon, where Gilgamesh was also interested in Serenity (who only went after Endymion because her mother kept pushing her at him).   When she summons him away from the church, he recognizes her and decides to help her and stay around. Things change drastically. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11608405/1/Moon-Sword.

The second one was ‘Angel Fire’, which is a crossover between the Guild Hunter series and Harry Potter. The Guild Hunter series’ first book is “Angel’s Blood” and it was the other thing I read today. Angel’s Blood is about Elena Deveraux, who is a vampire hunter. It’s not like normal though, vampires are Made (yes, it’s also captiallized in the book) by Angels from people who want to live longer (most of the time). They have to serve the Angel who turns them for a long time before they’re free. When a vampire runs away from that service or starts hunting humans, people like Elena are sent to capture or kill them. Elena is one of the best, that’s why the local Archangel, Raphael, chooses her for a very special assignment, hunting down another Archangel who’s turning to bloodlust. She has to do this, while fighting off her attraction to Raphael.

It’s an interesting series and I only found it because I wanted to read Angel Fire. There’s romance, but no sex scenes. I would recommend it.

Angel Fire is about a female Harry who discovers she’s Angel born when Umbridge pushes her off a tower and her wings reveal themselves. She runs away and ends up in Raphael’s territory. Things happen from there (this happens a bit before the series starts. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11635487/1/Angel-Fire.

Nothing more today, see you tomorrow!

Saturday

Today I read more Pick Up the Piece series and got part way thought the third and last, Rebuild. The new chapters for today were Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! I once again read some new sakurademonalchemist stories.

The first was ‘Daughter of Flame’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist and Harry Potter crossover. It has female Harry being the daughter of Roy Mustang instead and her going through the Gate to meet him after her fourth year. There she eventually meets the Elric brothers and journeys with them. They follow her to Hogwarts to learn about magic. Oh, did I mention that the Wizarding World thinks she’s a boy? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11569177/1/Daughter-of-Flame.

The second one was ‘Summoner’s Sword’ and it is a Fate/Stay Night and Chrono Crusade crossover. Chrono Crusade (which I haven’t read in a long time) is about Rosette Christopher and her soul-bound demon Chrono, who are members of the Order of Magdalene. They hunt other demons across America while searching for Rosette’s brother, who was taken by another demon. It’s an interesting story and the anime and manga have different endings (I don’t know which one is better because I don’t think I’ve watched the anime).

Summoner’s Sword’s only real crossover with Chrono Crusade is that Shirou is from the Harvenheit clan (Satella Harvenheit is a jewel summoner in Chrono Crusade). His abilities as a Harvenheit can only be revived when Shirou is hypnotized and his other personality changes. Säbel is this other personality’s name. Shirou can still use his normal abilities as himself, but he can now change personalities to change his abilities. This changes many things and Säbel makes things better. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11567979/1/Summoner-s-Sword.

Finally, there was ‘Identity Crisis,’ a crossover between Doctor Who and Harry Potter. It has the Metacrisis Doctor (the one from the end of season 4 of the reboot, the duplicate of The Doctor who’s part human), being left by Rose because he isn’t The Doctor. He then finds a way to a parallel universe and uses a ritual to reincarnate himself so he can find a way to activate his Time Lord abilities. He ends up as Harry Potter. Harry decides to go to a Muggleborn created school and nothing is the same. Find out what happens, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11204327/1/Identity-Crisis.

I also watched the new Robin Hood movie today. It was okay. I’m not really recommending it, but it’s not a horrible movie. They tried to humanize the Sheriff, but it kinda fell flat because he’s working for the people that abused him. I would have liked to maybe have them try to semi-save him (meaning he acted for the good guys in the end). I also felt that one character’s plot twist was a bit too much. I mean there’s spite and then there’s WTF. All in all, probably better off as a one-time Red Box rental.

That closes up today, tomorrow’s only a line away!

Sunday

I finished up the Pick Up the Pieces rereading and I finally made those lists I was talking about so I don’t reintroduce a fanfiction, story, show or movie! The new chapters were from – The Unseen Hunt and Tsunami. There are more new sakurademonalchemist (now SDA to not have to type that name every time) stories as well (I’m working through them backwards).

The first one is ‘Adamantium’ and it is an X-Men and Harry Potter crossover. It has Magneto waking up on the train to Hogwarts as an eleven year old with no idea how he got there. He befriends Harry and eventually finds some more ‘reincarnated’ mutants. It’s interesting, but once again, not finished. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11449634/1/Adamantium.

The next one is called, ‘Befriending Sword.’ It’s a Lyrical Nanoha and Fate/Stay Night crossover where Yunno meets Shirou instead and makes him a magical boy. Nanoha comes in later, but it’s only five chapters and we don’t know much because of that. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11409255/1/Befriending-Sword.

The last of SDA’s stories today is ‘Queens of Cosplay.’ It’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Sekirei that has Uzume’s ‘Destined One’ being Hayate. She ‘wings’ her a while before the Book of Darkness is activated. The corruption of the Book is found by accident and removed. Find out what happens in these four chapters, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11409142/1/Queens-of-Cosplay.

There was also a weekend long Community Day this weekend (ending early tomorrow morning) that had all the old shinies more available on PoGo. I got a shiny Chikorita, Squirtle, Beldum and 2 Charmanders.  I also went to a Christmas chorus event!

That’s it for today, see everyone when I post tomorrow!

Monday

Today I read a few more chapters of Ashes of the Past. The new chapters for today are Mauling Snarks, The Gamer (webcomic) and Headstart. There are no new stories from SDA today, yay! I also activated another Meltan box.

I reread ‘Campione of the Holy Grail’ by fg7dragon. It’s a crossover between Heaven’s Feel (Type Moon Universe, same time frame but different route from Fate/Stay Night) and Campione! Illya ends up the last one alive to face Angra Mayu and ends up becoming a Campione for killing him. She becomes the 7th Campione and does what she wants (basically explore the world). There are only six chapters, but it’s pretty good! The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12288122/1/Campione-of-the-Holy-Grail.

I read a new story called ‘Reality Bites Worm’ by Selector. It’s a pure Worm fic that has Taylor triggering at a different time. She gathers an all female team together and with some help becomes a force for good. I find it interesting and it has 27 chapters, with more to come as it was updated on the 27th of last month. Assume most if not all female capes in Brockton Bay join or are influenced by them. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12952222/1/Reality-Bites-Worm.

Finally, I also watched “Christopher Robin.” I enjoyed it and it’s message, that living to work isn’t really living at all. I remember watching Winnie the Pooh when I was younger and thought the live action versions were nice. I like the symbolism that he’s the Heffalump taking all the happiness away. I would very much recommend it!

Nothing more today, friends! See you on Thursday!

A Rather Short Post

Tuesday

Today I started to reread Shinobi of the High Seas and got to chapter 13. The stories that had new chapters were – Service with a Smile, It’s in the Cards, and Flames of the Night Sky. I also reread another sakurademonalchemist story.

It’s called ‘Best Served Cold’ and is a Harry Potter story with some Hellsing crossover later on. I mentioned Hellsing ealier, I think, but I didn’t talk about it. Hellsing is about Alucard (Dracula) and his newly turned servant, Seras Victoria (former cop), who serve the Hellsing Organization in taking down his own kind that threaten the world (or just England). It’s really good and there are Nazi Vampires later. The original anime is good, but the remake, Hellsing Ultimate, is better in my opinion. Be warned though, it is a bit of a gory anime.

Anyway, the story has a Harry Potter who became a Ministry Auditor (one of the most feared positions in the Ministry) coming back in time to his preHogwarts self and using his knowledge to fix things, and troll as many people as possible. It’s fun and silly, a great combination (now if only it, like so many others by this author, were finished). The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12149140/1/Best-Served-Cold.

There was a new chapter for a story called ‘Time and Sand’ by Scififan33. It’s a Star Wars story that has a Luke from a slightly different Episode 8 ending up a few years before Episode 1 on Tatooine. He meets and helps Anakin and joins the crew in Episode 1. It’s fun and is on its 8th chapter. Here’s the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12410879/1/Time-and-Sand.

Other than getting Cressila from a raid on PoGo and letting people trade to my Let’s Go game to get Meltan, nothing else happened today. I’ll see everyone tomorrow!

Wednesday

Today, I read more Shinobi of the High Seas, played some Let’s Go and not much else. The new chapters today were from: Burning Ice and Zero no Tsukaima: Saito the Onmyoji. Once again, I’ll talk about a series I haven’t mentioned yet.

The Boxcar Children is a bit older popular children’s series. It’s about four orphaned kids who run away because they believe their grandfather to be cruel (they never meet him). They end up living in an abandoned boxcar from a train. At the end of the first book, they meet their grandfather and end up living with him. All other books have mysteries or puzzles the children need to solve.

There are now 149 books (they’re still being published), 5 Great Adventures and 21 Specials. Only the first 19 books (revised since then) are by the series creator, Gertrude Chandler Warner, before her passing (the first book was published in 1924). The rest have brought them to the current time period (though they’re still young kids, just the time period has changed), though several different authors have written them. It’s a fun series for young kids and adults alike. Read and enjoy!

See people when I post tomorrow!

Thursday

Today, again, I read more Shinobi of the High Seas. I also went to my mother’s retirement party tonight and had a fun conversation with one of her co-workers about anime and introduced them to some new ones along with my blog. I hope they enjoy the new series and eventually read this as well! The new chapters for today are – It’s in the Cards, Organization 13 and a Half and Heroes Assemble!

I reread some more sakurademonalchemist stories. The first was ‘Harmony of the Moonlit Sky’, which is a KHR and Sailor Moon crossover. When Sailor Moon learns that King Endymion destroys the Mafia for peace when she’s in the future, she decides to change things and gets in contact with her former family, Xanxus. She had gotten away by claiming to have amnesia to not get roped into Vongolia’s nonsense after his ‘icing.’ Watch how the Sailor’s lives change because of this, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12368003/1/Harmony-of-a-Moonlit-Sky.

The second one was ‘A Tale of Two Swords,’ which is a multi-crossover with Harry Potter, the Fate Series and the universe of the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. I’ve read all the books about that universe (a while back though), including the Simarillion (that was fun, let me tell you). I enjoyed the series and liked the movies, though the new Hobbit movies were too drawn out in my opinion.

The story has a female Harry drawing Caliburn instead of the Sword of Gryffindor in the Chamber of Secrets and summons Mordred to help. She ends up in the Clocktower with a pranking troll (read Zelretch) that dumps them in the Hobbit. It’s fun for only 8 chapters and can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13013839/1/A-Tale-of-Two-Swords.

I then read a bunch of My Hero Academia fanfics, starting with ‘A Smile on Your Face and a Song in Your Heart’ by Kreadstornham. It has a Izuku who has the quirk to hear people’s souls through music. Nobody believes him for a while or thinks it’s stupid so he has much more issues than in the original. He works to overcome this though, it can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13118908/1/A-Smile-on-Your-Face-and-a-Song-in-Your-Heart.

The next one, which is by the same author, is called ‘Redemption.’ It has a universe where Izuku never met All Might and thus remained Quirkless. Grown up, he still tries to help whenever he can, which is how he meets Uravity. Things happen from there. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12991637/1/Redemption.

I then read ‘My Gamer Academia’ by All Hail Science, which is a Gamer and Academia crossover. Deku has always had the Gamer quirk, but no-one believes him. He still gets One for All, but has better control of it because of the Gamer. There are only 6 chapters currently, but it’s fun! It’s link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12791382/1/My-Gamer-Academia.

Lastly, I read ‘Deku, The Telekinetic Hero’ by sremiehzla. Deku has a telekinetic quirk that he uses to become a hero. He and Ochako quirks work well together, so they work as a team (it just finished the School festival arc). The story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12969971/1/Deku-The-Telekinetic-Hero.

That’s all for this post, my friends! See everyone on Monday!
