First Week on the Job!

Hello my friends! My first week of work was tiring, but worth it. I’ve proved I can do it, both to my employers and myself. I haven’t had much time to myself because of work and sleep, but I did some things. One of those things was work on the fanfiction archive I have. I’ve done some of the authors, but I also took care of the one that was the most trouble, you guessed it sakurademonalchemist. I hope to finish it this weekend, but I plan to finish it by this time next week at the latest.

I played the beginning of Kingdom Hearts III, but haven’t had much time as I said. I finished the amusing little segment at the beginning and am now in the actual game. I also read more Taylor Varga and reread No Need for Harry. The new chapters this week are from: Celestial Worm, Reality Bites Worm, Service with a Smile, Hive Daughter, Breaking the Gilded Cage (Tues & Fri), Angels and Demons, Unexpected Restart, Deku: The Telekinetic Hero, Worm – Justice for All, Ashikabi of Thunder and Lightning, Heroes Assemble!, Mauling Snarks Omake, Konsō, Broken Dreams, Ashes to Flame and Mauling Snarks.

I did get some time to read also and reread (or at least start to) two fanfics. The first is called Living with Danger by whydoyouneedtoknow. It’s the first of the Danger-verse stories. It’s a Harry Potter story where Hermoine has a much older sister, nicknamed ‘Danger.’ She is a seer, who got her magic when she found their parents dead soon after Voldie died. She finds Harry when she and Hermione move into the area. They accidentally meet Remus and things fall into place from there. I finished this one, but haven’t started the second in the series. Be sure to read it and it’s sequels!

The second is called Dodging Prison and Stealing Witches – Revenge is Best Served Cold by LeadVonE. It’s another Harry Potter story, however this one starts with a Harry that has been in Azkaban for 10 years. Voldemort has been in control for a while, but Harry has been in Azkaban since 2nd year when Ginny died. Why? Because why wouldn’t the abandoned brother of ‘The-Boy-Who-Lived’ (fake) do that to his brother’s girlfriend (on trumped-up charges). After being tossed through The Veil, he learns that Dumbles did it to keep him out of the way until it was time to use him. He is told this by Fate and Death who have already repeated the timeline once using his brother John. They send Harry because John clearly can’t do it, but the recently sent back John will be there too. Sound complicated, it is but is good anyway. It’s a good story and is on the third ‘book’ if I remember correctly.

Today I started rereading the Pick Up the Piece series and got part way through the second one Move On. There were new chapters for – Tsunami, Viridescent, A Smile on Your Face and a Song in Your Heart, Mauling Snarks, Taylor Varga and Stand Together and Smile. I read more new sakurademonalchemist stories also.

The first one is called ‘Moon Sword’ and it is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Fate/Stay Night. It has Usagi and Shirou switching places in the fire (meaning Usagi was there for the fire and had her memories wiped, then Usagi ended up with Kiritsugu and Shirou was adopted into Usagi’s family, who thought she was dead). It also had the Moon and ‘Atlantis’ (where Endymion lived) around the time of Babylon, where Gilgamesh was also interested in Serenity (who only went after Endymion because her mother kept pushing her at him).   When she summons him away from the church, he recognizes her and decides to help her and stay around. The second one was ‘Angel Fire’, which is a crossover between the Guild Hunter series and Harry Potter. The Guild Hunter series’ first book is “Angel’s Blood” and it was the other thing I read today. Angel’s Blood is about Elena Deveraux, who is a vampire hunter. It’s not like normal though, vampires are Made (yes, it’s also captiallized in the book) by Angels from people who want to live longer (most of the time). They have to serve the Angel who turns them for a long time before they’re free. When a vampire runs away from that service or starts hunting humans, people like Elena are sent to capture or kill them. Elena is one of the best, that’s why the local Archangel, Raphael, chooses her for a very special assignment, hunting down another Archangel who’s turning to bloodlust. She has to do this, while fighting off her attraction to Raphael.

It’s an interesting series and I only found it because I wanted to read Angel Fire. There’s romance, but no sex scenes. I would recommend it.

Angel Fire is about a female Harry who discovers she’s Angel born when Umbridge pushes her off a tower and her wings reveal themselves. She runs away and ends up in Raphael’s territory. Today I read more Pick Up the Piece series and got part way thought the third and last, Rebuild. The new chapters for today were Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! I once again read some new sakurademonalchemist stories.

The first was ‘Daughter of Flame’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist and Harry Potter crossover. It has female Harry being the daughter of Roy Mustang instead and her going through the Gate to meet him after her fourth year. There she eventually meets the Elric brothers and journeys with them. They follow her to Hogwarts to learn about magic. Oh, did I mention that the Wizarding World thinks she’s a boy? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11569177/1/Daughter-of-Flame.

The second one was ‘Summoner’s Sword’ and it is a Fate/Stay Night and Chrono Crusade crossover. Chrono Crusade (which I haven’t read in a long time) is about Rosette Christopher and her soul-bound demon Chrono, who are members of the Order of Magdalene. They hunt other demons across America while searching for Rosette’s brother, who was taken by another demon. It’s an interesting story and the anime and manga have different endings (I don’t know which one is better because I don’t think I’ve watched the anime).

Summoner’s Sword’s only real crossover with Chrono Crusade is that Shirou is from the Harvenheit clan (Satella Harvenheit is a jewel summoner in Chrono Crusade). His abilities as a Harvenheit can only be revived when Shirou is hypnotized and his other personality changes. Säbel is this other personality’s name. Shirou can still use his normal abilities as himself, but he can now change personalities to change his abilities. This changes many things and Säbel makes things better. Finally, there was ‘Identity Crisis,’ a crossover between Doctor Who and Harry Potter. It has the Metacrisis Doctor (the one from the end of season 4 of the reboot, the duplicate of The Doctor who’s part human), being left by Rose because he isn’t The Doctor. He then finds a way to a parallel universe and uses a ritual to reincarnate himself so he can find a way to activate his Time Lord abilities. He ends up as Harry Potter. I also watched the new Robin Hood movie today. It was okay. I’m not really recommending it, but it’s not a horrible movie. They tried to humanize the Sheriff, but it kinda fell flat because he’s working for the people that abused him. I would have liked to maybe have them try to semi-save him (meaning he acted for the good guys in the end). I also felt that one character’s plot twist was a bit too much. I mean there’s spite and then there’s WTF. All in all, probably better off as a one-time Red Box rental.

I finished up the Pick Up the Pieces rereading and I finally made those lists I was talking about so I don’t reintroduce a fanfiction, story, show or movie! The new chapters were from – The Unseen Hunt and Tsunami. There are more new sakurademonalchemist (now SDA to not have to type that name every time) stories as well (I’m working through them backwards).

The first one is ‘Adamantium’ and it is an X-Men and Harry Potter crossover. It has Magneto waking up on the train to Hogwarts as an eleven year old with no idea how he got there. He befriends Harry and eventually finds some more ‘reincarnated’ mutants. It’s interesting, but once again, not finished. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11449634/1/Adamantium.

The next one is called, ‘Befriending Sword.’ It’s a Lyrical Nanoha and Fate/Stay Night crossover where Yunno meets Shirou instead and makes him a magical boy. The last of SDA’s stories today is ‘Queens of Cosplay.’ It’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Sekirei that has Uzume’s ‘Destined One’ being Hayate. She ‘wings’ her a while before the Book of Darkness is activated. The corruption of the Book is found by accident and removed. There was also a weekend long Community Day this weekend (ending early tomorrow morning) that had all the old shinies more available on PoGo. I got a shiny Chikorita, Squirtle, Beldum and 2 Charmanders.  I also went to a Christmas chorus event!

Today I read a few more chapters of Ashes of the Past. The new chapters for today are Mauling Snarks, The Gamer (webcomic) and Headstart. There are no new stories from SDA today, yay! I also activated another Meltan box.

I reread ‘Campione of the Holy Grail’ by fg7dragon. It’s a crossover between Heaven’s Feel (Type Moon Universe, same time frame but different route from Fate/Stay Night) and Campione! Illya ends up the last one alive to face Angra Mayu and ends up becoming a Campione for killing him. She becomes the 7th Campione and does what she wants (basically explore the world). I read a new story called ‘Reality Bites Worm’ by Selector. It’s a pure Worm fic that has Taylor triggering at a different time. She gathers an all female team together and with some help becomes a force for good. I find it interesting and it has 27 chapters, with more to come as it was updated on the 27th of last month. Finally, I also watched “Christopher Robin.” I enjoyed it and it’s message, that living to work isn’t really living at all. I remember watching Winnie the Pooh when I was younger and thought the live action versions were nice. I like the symbolism that he’s the Heffalump taking all the happiness away. I would very much recommend it!

Today, I read so more of I Am Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me, but didn’t finish either one of them and read books fifteen through the start of eighteen for The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for; Service with a Smile, Another Fine Mess, and Reading Chronicles Book 1: To the Victor, The Spoils. I got Shedinja on PoGo from the Research Breakthrough this morning, but now I wish that I had waited until this afternoon because of the stupid new Sinnoh Stone. It can only be gotten from the Research Breakthrough, but it didn’t become active until this afternoon (stupid, should happen at night, but I guess it is night somewhere then).

Anyway, I read some more new sakurademonalchemist fics (new as in I haven’t read them, they have like, let me check, 246 stories). The first one was ‘Spirit of the Jewel’ and it’s a InuYasha and Natsume Yūjin-Chō (which will now be Natsume because it’s stupid to get those vowels with symbols every time. It translates out to Natsume’s Book of Friends) crossover. Not sure it I’ve ever said what Natsume is before (really need to make that list I mentioned soon), but it’s about a boy named Takashi Natsume who can see spirits. He has since he was young (He’s a teenager now) and his family switches him between themselves and thinks he’s a liar and troublemaker because of his ability. He inherits a notebook from his grandmother that she bound spirits to control them. He tries to find them and give them back their names (which are in the book).

Spirit of the Jewel has Takashi and Nyanko (a spirit who hangs out with him who wants the book, eventually) going to the Higurashi Shrine to live before the start of InuYasha. He, Nyanko and a fox spirit end up going to the past with Kagome and getting involved with her adventures. It only has four chapters (so far, but hasn’t been updated since Sept. 2016). The second is called ‘Arrow of Truth’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) and Fate/stay Night crossover. Shirou ends up declining Alaya and not becoming a Counter Guardian. He then meets Truth (from FMA) who says he is a fragment of Edwards from when he went through the Gate of Truth (Think the author was referring to original anime series). The last one (from this author) is ‘Beware of Sith Trolls.’ It’s a three-part story (with only two parts out since Aug. 2016) that’s a Harry Potter and Star Wars crossover (with mentions and meeting Black Wing from Fate’s Gamble by Lupine Horror). It has Vader saving a young Harry Potter (who deaged himself and his a troll) and having him become his apprentice. I discovered that Fruits Basket is finally getting a remade anime with the whole story (YAY!). While doing that I learned of a short (unfinished) sequel about another young girl and the children of the Fruits Basket characters called “Fruits Basket Another.” I read the manga and enjoyed it, really looking forward to the finish and the new anime!

I reread a fic by kb0 called ‘A Friend Indeed.’ It’s a six-chapter story about what would have happened if Ginny would have tried harder to be Harry’s friend after his name comes out the Goblet of Fire. I also got a new chapter for a story called ‘The Lady of the Flies’ by InsanityIncarnate90. It’s a Worm and Highschool DxD crossover that has Rias reincarnating Taylor after the end of Worm as her Queen. Watch how this changes the DxD universe completely! Wednesday

I finished both My Name is Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me today. I also got caught up on The Gamer (my app didn’t get the new chapters until today <_>). There were also new chapters for Burning Ice, Harry Potter and the Stargate, Flames of the Night Sky, It’s in the Cards, Heroes Assemble! and an omake for Mauling Snarks. A Ultra Friend on PoGo gave me an Ex Raid invite today and I was finally able to catch Deoxys (yay!). I also got some Lucky Pokémon from trades today!

I started rereading a story by an author I haven’t mentioned yet, Phantom1s. It’s called ‘Harry Potter: Archangel’ and it has Harry’s accidental magic transporting him to the Flamels at a young age (to escape from the Dursleys). He grows up with them and ends up meeting Tony Stark and creating a magic Ironman suit called Archangel. He saves a going into fifth year Ginny (remember he’s not been at Hogwarts, to study at least) and things happen from there. There was a new chapter for the fic, ‘Organization 13 and a Half’ by Glennt123. It a Kingdom Hearts story that starts before 365/2 Days. It has a sentient Dusk that is the main character who becomes a part of Organization 13. Hasn’t reached 365/2 Days yet, but it is still semi-frequently updating. Lasty, I started rereading another of kb0’s stories, ‘Harry Potter: The Avenger.’ It has Harry not wanting to stay in his world any longer and goes through the Veil (with a trunk full of things) to try and find Sirius. He ends up in New York right before it’s attacked by aliens in the first Avengers movie. He joins the defense and becomes an Avenger. Thursday

I finished Harry Potter: The Avenger and read more Broken Dreams (by ThunderReborn if you’ve forgotten). The only new chapter was from Another Fine Mess. That and playing PoGo, Fate/GO and KHUx are really the only things I did today. Wow, that’s kinda sad …

Anyway, I’m writing this before I head over and get my new Let’s Go games, but I have enough time to talk about another series. This time I’ll talk about “Skip Beat” by Yoshiki Nakamura. The main character, Kyoko Mogami, went to Tokyo with her love Sho to help him while he became an Idol. But when he became famous he got rid of her and she vowed horrible revenge. She decided to get revenge on him by becoming a bigger star than him. The only problem, she left behind love and can’t muster any up to catch people’s eyes.

When she proves to have talent, the director of a company decides to make a “Love-Me” section to help her (and others eventually) find what they’re missing. Watch her work through her trials to get one over on Sho (and who’s this Ren Tsuruga?). I really enjoy this series and need to catch up on it, I’m a bit behind.

Today I finished Run With You and read the sixth through eighth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess, double jeu, Ashes to Flame, and Mauling Snarks. Sadly this is all I read today, but I did watch some more Doctor Who TV Movies.

The first was called “The Waters of Mars.” It has the 10th Doctor ending up with the crew of the first human Mars’ team. He knows from history that something bad happens the day he shows up. Thus he is faced with the choice to leave and let things happen or interfere and change things.

Next was both parts of “End of Time.” It has the Ood (yes, there is a species called the Ood and yes, and odd joke was made in their first episode), telling the Doctor that something that his old friend/enemy The Master was going to be revived. He rushes back and faces The Master and an unexpected enemy. This is also the last time the 10th Doctor is the main character. The 11th Doctor is regenerated into at the end of Part 2. The !0th’s last words are still very sad.

Since I don’t have anything else new, I’ll end this for today!

Today, I read the ninth through eleventh novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. The new chapters today were for: Harry Potter and the Stargate, Another Fine Mess, Relic of the Future, Stand Together and Smile, Heroes Assemble!, and Tsunami. I actually read some stories I haven’t mentioned yet, so lets get to it!

First was starting to reread the first in the series ‘Stars Aligned’ called ‘An Unexpected Christmas Miracle’ by batistaangel15. It’s a Doctor Who fic about the 10th Doctor and Rose going to a Christmas planet before the battle of Canary Wharf. It’s fun and fluffy and the rest of the series happens when Rose isn’t lost to another universe. Haven’t finished cause I’m reading other things. I also read some chapters from the Type Moon side crossover manga “All Around Type Moon – Ahnenerbe no Nichijou.’ I found it by looking for a story where kaleid Illya meets original Illya. It’s a bunch of silly crossovers between Type Moon characters at a café called Ahnenerbe. I read long enough to find the chapter I was looking for (the chapters are linked, but not by very much.

I also got an update for a story named ‘Restart’ by Masseffect-TxS. It’s an RWBY story that has Jaune being one of the last humans and going up against the King of Grimm. When he wins at the cost of his life, he ends up waking up as he is being born. What will he do to make sure what happens in his first lifetime doesn’t happen again? It was just the author saying that they edited the first few chapters based on something just released in a new episode of Season 6 (I’m way behind, need to watch and catch up sometime).

I also watched the first two episodes of Season 5 of Doctor Who. I officially met the 11th Doctor and his new companion, Amelia (Amy) Pond (and his to-be companion Rory Williams). After meeting Amelia when she was young (after he crashes into her garden), he promises to help her with something when he gets back in 20 mins. However, he comes back twelve years later and she’s not happy to see him. After helping her out he invites her to come with him. I’m looking forward to watching more later!

It was also the Community Day for Pokémon Go and Cyndaquil was the focus today. I only walked for 50 mins because of issues with logging in and that a memorial service for one of my church members was in the middle of it. She was a great woman and will be dearly missed. I did get two shinnies and that’s enough for me.

Today, I read the twelfth and thirteenth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School and some more chapters of An Unexpected Christmas Miracle. There were new chapters for: The Unseen Hunt, SAO: The Eroge and Seerking’s Asylum. I also reread Flames of the Night Sky.

I reread parts of the second story in the ‘Reinforced’ series by Lupine Horror. The first one is called ‘Reinforced Magic’ and it’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Harry Potter. At the end of the second season of Lyrical Nanoha (called A’s) a character named Reinforce is destroyed to stop a threat. However instead of being destroyed, she ends up in front of a young Harry Potter who just had acid poured on half his face. She merges with him to help him and stays with him while teaching him her magic. When they end up at Hogwarts, things really get interesting. The second one (the one I read) is called ‘Reinforced Chamber’ and deals with Harry’s second year and meeting the rest of the Lyrical Nanoha crew. I spent most of the afternoon going around my town looking for a Pokéstop that had the task for a new Pokémon this month, nincada. I spent several hours doing it, but couldn’t find one. When I posted this to the GroupMe for the area, I was informed where one was not far from where I had been searching. … Needless to say I got it and caught the Pokémon. Sadly, last night the main GroupMe group for PoGo in my area semi-imploded and now there are more groups based on the factions. As I am neutral (if unhappy at being kicked out of a side group because of one of the instigators getting someone to add them and then they kicked everyone out. Luckly, they couldn’t kick out the owner and he kicked them out and reinstated us), I’m in all groups (except the Valor and Mystic ones, cause I’m Instinct. Not that I really care, honestly, it’s just a game) and hopefully things will get better.

I read only the fourteenth novel of The Irregular at Magic High School today. I also re-watched episodes 8 to 10 of GATE because I wanted to re-watch Rory Mercury’s verbal beat down of the Japanese Senate representative. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess (which lead me to the previous sentence), Mauling Snarks and Tsunami.

I also read/reread some more sakurademonalchemist stories. The first one I started rereading was called ‘Naruto Emiya.’ It’s a crossover between Naruto and the Fate part of the Type Moon universe (or Natsu-verse). It has Zelretch (the immortal troll) finding Naruto almost dead in Konoha (when he was young, like 8) and sends him to Kiritsugu soon after Illya is born. Another one I reread was ‘Sorcellerie Miraculeuse.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Ladybug and Cat Noir crossover. Female Harry leaves Britain after the Triwizard Tournaments with Fleur’s families help. Finally, I read ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ for the first time (Sadly nothing to do with The Greatest American Hero series even though the title is based off the theme song). It’s a Supernatural and Fate/Zero crossover. After season 2, Sam goes to Fuyuki to participate in a tournament to try and save his brother from Hell. However, he only gets a shade of a hero. I got a new chapter for a story called ‘Moving On: Tales of Marinette & Adrien’ by HawkwardDolphin. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir story about Marinette thinking of moving on from Adrien and Chat Noir (what he’s called in the story) telling her to do what makes her happy. Things are a mess because of the ‘Love Square’ (only technically a square, but that’s what fans call it). I also started reading a story called ‘My Name is Harry Potter’ by megamatt09. It’s a crossover between the DC universe and Harry Potter. Harry is an auror who sees something he shouldn’t have and is thrown through the Veil. But he survives and plots how to get revenge with the League of Assassins. So I’m just gonna flat out say it, I can only think of a few of megamatt09’s stories that are not more than liberally filled with sex scenes. In fact, a few of his stories are just a collection of one shots of Harry or Spiderman having sex with different women. I read them for the story, not the sex. However I’m also an adult, so I would hope that any underage people reading this will not follow the link. This one does have sex, but it doesn’t ever become as prominent as his other stories and starts after a few chapters. Fair warning.

Today was also a very sad day for Marvel fans with the passing of The Legend – Stan Lee. He was the creator of some of our favorite Marvel heroes, including Spiderman and the X-Men. His cameos in the MCU will be missed and I look forward to him hopefully being in at least the Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 movies.

Tuesday

So finished rereading the last part of Black Sky and am looking forward to the author putting more out soon (hopefully). I also read a few more chapters of Ashes of the Past (early 50’s) because I’ve seen new chapters but I want to finish rereading first. There were updates for It’s in the Cards, Queen of the Seas, A Ninja Summoned, Worm: More Than Meets The Eye, and Seerking’s Asylum. I spend the rest of the day reading stories by sakurademonalchemist and watching shows from the Who-verse.

I decided to read some stories by sakurademonalchemist that I hadn’t before and the first one was ‘Demonic Jewels.’ It’s a KHR AU (Alternate Universe) where there are Demons and the female Tsuna is training to become a jewel summoner. She ends up as Hibari’s roommate because no one else will. It’s interesting and I like it. The next one is called ‘Wrathful Skies’ and is a Harry Potter and KHR crossover. The female Harry is Xanxus’ half sister and calls Krampus to her neighborhood one Christmas when she’s young. She runs away and becomes ferial with Sky flames and a wolf partner. Squalo finds her and takes her back to the Varia where things become interesting. Then was ‘Partners in Crime’ which is another Harry Potter and KHR crossover. It has a young Harry being abandoned in Itay and finds a young (female) Belphegor and they team up to steal. After that, there was ‘Queen of Conquerors’ which is a Harry Potter and Type Moon Universe crossover. It has a young female Harry being transported to the time of Alexander the Conqueror and is adopted as his daughter. She grows up and is his heir before she is called back to her time for the Triwizard Tournament. Continuing, there was ‘Here in an Instant, Gone in a Flash’ which is a triple crossover. It has Harry as the main character, includes the DC TV Universe and has The Librarian TV movie elements too. When Ripper chases Harry into the tree (when he was young, see Book 3), it’s struck by lightning and he gains speedster powers. He then becomes the Magical Librarian (the other Librarian still gets his own job later) and eventually goes to Central City before the events of The Flash. Let’s take a quick break to talk about the DC TV Universe and The Librarian. The DC TV Universe consists of Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. Arrow is about the Green Arrow and his return to his city and taking care of the criminals there. Eventually, The Flash comes in and Barry gets his speedster powers. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow takes villains and heroes from both series and has them travel through time to take out an immortal villain. Supergirl is about Supergirl and her debut, but eventually connects to the others.  (I know it’s kinda short, but there is a lot in the DC TV Universe.  Cut me a break).

Then there’s The Librarian. It’s about Flynn Carsen, who is kicked out of Uni after getting 20 degrees. He then interviews to become The Librarian (not that he knows what that is at first) and gets the job. He is then sent on an adventure and everything he knows helps him. There were originally three TV movies, but eventually they made a series about it called The Librarians. He activates three others who could have been The Librarian and they form a team.

I’ll cut the sakurademonalchemist stories for now and talk about more tomorrow so I can talk about the Who-verse things I watched. I watched the Doctor Who TV movie, “Planet of the Dead.” It has the Doctor joining a group of people on a bus (including a thief the police are chasing) that is transported to a planet where there’s only sand. They try to get back through the portal, but danger lurks in the distance. The Doctor also gets and ominous warning, “Your song is ending” and “He will knock four times”. Dun, Dun, DUN!

Then I watched the (technical) third season of Torchwood. It’s essentially a five part mini-series called “Torchwood: The Children of Earth.” It has the children of Earth stopping several times and telling people that ‘We are coming.’ An alien race is coming and they want children to make them go away. Watch as the Torchwood and the government clash and try and make them go away.

I also voted today! Not going to talk politics (because it makes people crazy, no really some people on both sides really need to grow up and stop the blame game), but it’s a right people need to exercise and I did!

So today was mostly me reading the first three The Irregular at Magic High School novels and starting the fourth. Since I mentioned it last post it made me want to reread them. There were new chapters for Demon Lord of the End (the real third chapter), Burning Ice, The Healing Touch and Heroes Assemble! I also learned that Seerking is taking a break from his schedule until the 21ist.

I reread a Quatermass story called ‘Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, Ashikabi’s Life for Me.’ It’s a Sekirei and Pirates of Caribbean (I’m not gonna explain this one, look it up and watch it if you don’t know it. Well, at least the first one, the rest are take it or leave it) crossover. It has Captian Jack Sparrow being reincarnated into Minato. This changes many things. The last of the new stories (for me) from sakurademonalchemist was ‘Trick Hunt.’ It’s an Avengers (MCU) and Supernatural crossover. Supernatural is a popular demon hunting show following Dean and Sam Winchester who are ‘Hunters.’ They hunt and destroy things that hunt humans. Originally they’re looking for their dad, but things change. It has over 13 seasons and is still going.

The story has Loki being sent into a human body without his memories by Odin after the first movie as repentance. God sees this and changes his body to Dean Winchester. When Dean is brought back at the beginning of Season 3, Loki is awakened and he and Dean work to together to solve their problems. I also got a new chapter for a sakurademonalchemist story yesterday called ‘Flames of the Night Sky.’ It’s a KHR and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha crossover. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (from now on called Lyrical Nanoha) is about an elementary school girl (Nanoha Takamichi) who finds a magical ferret (from space and who is really a shape shifting young boy) named Yuuno. He wants her to find the Jewel Seeds that were on his crashed ship. However, there is another young named Fate who wants them as well. There are currently five seasons and four movies (the movies are a separate universe, with the first two covering the first two seasons and the third and fourth being a new story based on a games), though the fourth movie hasn’t aired in the US yet.

The story has Tsuna’s mom dying young and his dad cannot be contacted, so Tsuna ends up being adopted by his mom’s friends, the Takamichis. I also started rereading a sakurademonalchemist story called ‘Queen’s Redemption.’ It’s a KHR and Once Upon a Time crossover. Once Upon a Time is a show about a universe called ‘The Enchanted Forrest,’ where fairy tales originate from. However, there are many differences. It starts with Snow White and Prince Charming’s wedding, where the Evil Queen promises to take away their happy endings. She sets up a spell that transports everyone to a ‘world without magic’ (ya know, our world) and the only one who can break it is Snow’s and Charming’s daughter on her 28th birthday. They send her ahead as a baby before the spell hits. They are stuck in a time loop (without their memories) in Storybrook until Emma (their daughter) shows up. Watch as she helps them break the curse with the help of the son she gave up, Henry (who is the Evil Queen’s adopted son).

The story has Regina (the Evil Queen) getting hit by a curse by Snow right before the original curse that makes her a child. She grows up into Lal Mitch and regains her memories when the Arcobaleno curse hits. I read some yesterday and some today (but not finished rereading yet). Thursday

Today I read the fourth through sixth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for Celestial Worm and Code Geass: Lionheart of the Revolution. I read more chapters for Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me and Queen’s Revenge, but haven’t finished either yet.

I reread a one shot by kb0 called ‘Harry’s Happy Christmas.’ It’s a Harry Potter story that has Harry meeting Santa in a mall ‘Meet Santa’ area and asking for help ending the war. The only other thing I started rereading was ‘Run With You’ by mltrefry. It’s a Doctor Who Season 3 rewrite where Rose manages to hold on and stays with The Doctor. Today’s going to be a bit long, just so you know. Something I didn’t mention yesterday (because I was running out of time) was that the author brown phantom posted a lot. I follow his account so I get updates even for stories I haven’t read. There were a few that I read the new update so I’ll talk about them for now.

‘Keibatsu’ is about a Naruto AU where the Fourth Hokage rapes Kushina to make Naruto. When she’s killed she releases the Kyuubi and after rampaging for her sake, he is sealed into Naruto. The Fourth decides to pretend to die and lead Akatsuki. The leadership (and most of the village) follow his plan and it works until Naruto finds the Third’s journal detailing what has happened and is planed for him. He escapes and takes Hinata (the only one that doesn’t hate him, despite many attempts to force her to) with him. Kyuubi helps and they decide to go against Konoha. The second one is called ‘Secret Saotomes’ and is a crossover between Ranma 1/2 and an American TV show (that I’ve never seen before) called Secret Saturdays. The Saotomes take the place of the family in the show and are trying to save ‘cryptids’ from the bad guys. It’s okay, but knowing more about the show would be better. Maybe I’ll watch it sometime. I read new chapters for GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There, Master Potter of Kamar-Taj and Seerking’s Asylum (the end of the current short story that he might continue or somebody else might adopt). I also finished rereading Harry Potter – Three to Backstep and reread Enough (the White Angel of Auralon story that ended recently).

There was a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned, called ‘Son of Holmes’ by Syliphen Zora Riddle. It’s a crossover with the British show “Sherlock” and Harry Potter. It has a wizard killing the Dursleys when Harry was young. He kills them thinking that Dudley was Harry (as he was in his cupboard at the time). When Sherlock Holmes (who’s a wizard) investigates, he finds and adopts Harry. It’s not very far in, but it looks interesting. I also started reading ‘Naruto: Shinobi Institute of Performance Analysis’ by MaxFic. It’s a Naruto fic that has his team going through a program (the one mentioned in the title) that Orochimaru suggested to find out what each shinobi is good at and suggest paths when Kakashi cannot meet them the first day because of an important mission. It’s really good and shows how people’s issues should be dealt with unlike how they’re dealt with in most shows. I also started watching Tokyo Ghoul, but decided that reading the manga would be more interesting. I know many people like it and I figured with Halloween coming up, it would be a good one to read. I finished the original manga right before this and will start reading it’s sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re tomorrow.

For those who don’t know, Tokyo Ghoul is about a world where human and ghouls live together. Ghouls eat humans and hide from them (the only way to tell by looking at them is if they want to eat and their black and red eyes are showing). In this Ken Kaneki gets a date with a girl who turns out to be a ghoul that tries to eat him. She is ‘killed’ in an ‘accident’ and a doctor implants parts of her in him to ‘save his life’ (There are reasons those are in quotes that you have to read the story to understand). He wakes up a ghoul and has to deal with his new urges and one eye that turns red when he’s hungry. Watch as he shakes up the world in Tokyo Ghoul!

Other than that, PoGo started their Halloween event. Two new Pokémon (Drifloon and Stunky) and their evolutions are now available in the wild. I got at least one of each and hope to evolve them soon. Also there’s a new 3 part special research to get Spiritomb (stock up on Berries, you’re going to need at least 108 of them just for the first set of three quests).

Wednesday

Lol, so I’m obviously a little off today. For a little while, even though I knew that there was a Wednesday only event happening, I thought it was tomorrow and felt I had to rush back home to finish the post. It wasn’t until I got a few lines in below that I realized and laughed at myself.

So I read and finished Toyko Ghoul:re. At first I was a little confused because the main character was different (and I didn’t know him), but I realized that things were fine and that he was someone from the first manga (just very different). (This is as far as I got, btw). I’m not going to spoil things, but Sasaki Haise is someone from the first Tokyo Ghoul (so keep reading even if you’re a little confused). Hope people read both of them!

There were updates for Harry Potter and the Stargate, Mauling Snarks (a PHO interlude), and Heroes Assemble!. There was also Seerking’s new chapter for his next story in the rotation, ‘Worm – Waterworks.’ It’s a Worm story that has Taylor gaining the power to control water, a hydrokinetic to be scientific. Other than reading a few more chapters in Fate’s Gamble, I started rereading another of Sinyk’s stories, ‘Angry Harry and the Seven.’ It’s a Harry Potter story that has him with eidetic memory and an angry streak because of the soul fragment in his scar before he gets to Hogwarts. Thursday

Today was a pretty singular story day. I mostly focused on Harry Potter and the Seven (it has 87 and I’m on chapter 79 now). There was a new chapter from Seerking’s Asylum (a second chapter from the one on chapter 69), but that was it for one’s I’ve mentioned before. There was a new (and final) chapter for ‘Hollow Magic’ by Baleygr.

It’s a Harry Potter and Bleach crossover that has Harry betrayed by his friends and in a plot by Voldemort is sent to Azkaban after the fifth book. Being in the presence of dementors causes him to faint eventually and he awakens Ulquiorra Cifer’s memories and becomes him. He gets out and works to finish his business in England to get to Orihime in Japan. This is a short story (9 chapers) and it’s kinda, meh, in my books. This last chapter is just a ‘things happen and it’s the end’ ending. I also evolved Stunky, Buneary and fully evolved the fire started for the fourth gen to get Infernape. This means I’m only missing Torterra, Empoleon (the final evolution of the grass and water starters respectively), Staraptor, Luxio, Luxray (the evolutions of Shinx that you can only get in a raid currently), Spiritomb, Riolu, Lucario, and the two regionals, Chatot and Carnivine of the Gen 4 that are out. I also finally used 108 berries and was able to get to the second set of three tasks. Now I have to catch 108 Pokémon (which for me is much easier than the berries, cause you don’t have to spin stops to catch Pokémon [other than for pokéballs and I have plenty of regular ones] and I already have 27), catch 10 dark types (I only need one more) and spin 8 Pokéstops I haven’t before (which should be fairly simple, just go to a part of the city I don’t go to much and it’ll be easy). Hopefully, I’ll be done tomorrow with it and I’ll catch Spiritomb!

Sorry again for being late for the last post. I got the normal new chapter for Mauling Snarks along with a new one for Cambion. Other than reading some more Harry Potter and the Daft Morons, I read some new chapters for fics I haven’t mentioned before and actually read a physical book!

The first of the new chapters was for ‘Master Potter of Kamar-Taj’ by Ryuko monogatari. If I mentioned this one before, bear with me (I looked when I got the last updates and couldn’t find them mentioned on the corresponding days on the blog). It’s an Avengers and Harry Potter crossover where Harry studies under Doctor Strange before going to Hogwarts. It’s almost to the end of first year, storyline wise. The second fanfic I read only the first chapter, but it’s finished. It’s called ‘Second Chances are Fought For’ by fg7dragon. It’s a Naruto and Fate/Stay Night crossover that has Naruto being summoned by Rin instead of Archer (EMIYA). He changes everything. The last new chapter was from ‘Game On! 3 0’ by nordiamus. It’s the third in the Game On! Series. It’s about Harriet Potter who died sometime after becoming the Master of Death. She chooses to reincarnate several times helping heroes in order to save her mother’s soul. She at least gets a Gamer system to help her. The first fic has her in KHR. Well since I just mentioned two series I haven’t talked about yet, I’ll talk about them before I go into the book. Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) is about Edward and Alphonse Elric who are alchemists. Their mother died when they were young (and their father left before that [the story eventually explains it]) so they tried to do the forbidden and bring her back. As a reward, Ed lost a leg and an arm and Al lost his body and his soul is bonded into a suit of armor. Ed gets an automail (a fully functioning mechanical replacement) arm and leg and joins the military to find a way to recover what was taken from them. Many things happen along the way and long hidden secrets are revealed. I would very much suggest this, in its manga and second anime at least. The original FMA was okay for a while, but then diverted and I at least wasn’t a huge fan. FMA: Brotherhood was really good though.

InuYasha is about a young 1990’s high school girl, Kagome, getting dragged into a well at her home (in a shrine) and ending up in the Edo period (between 1603 and 1868, don’t know when during it). There she finds out that demons are real and that she is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo who died in that period over half a century ago. Kikyo was the guardian of the Shikon Jewel and it reappeared in Kagome’s body. She frees a half dog-demon InuYasha (who was sealed by Kikyo and has a history with her) to save her from another demon who wants the jewel. Soon the Jewel is shattered (by Kagome on accident) and she, InuYasha and friends they find along the way have to find all the pieces to complete the Jewel and stop others from using it for evil. Luckily, she can at least return home sometimes, though InuYasha can follow her. I recommend this one as well, both the manga and anime.

Finally, I read the first book in the Baccano! series that I mentioned last time. It’s called “The Rolling Bootlegs” and focuses on how both groups get their immortality, though not much about the first group. I was wrong last time, there are 22 books out and the 23rd is the one delayed. That’s it for today, see you on the next line!

Saturday

I read several completely new fics today, but also some new chapters. The new chapters were from Harry Potter and the Stargate, Stand Together and Smile and Relic of the Future. I also read till chapter 64 (of 84) of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons.

The first new fic was ‘Protector of the Fairies’ by Takei Daloui. It’s a Fairy Tail and Bleach crossover. It has Bleach elements built into the Fairy Tail world rather than having a character (or two) just dropped into it. It’s interesting, I haven’t finished it (I’m reading it slowly on the side) as it has 251 chapters and it’s not finished yet. The second new story is ‘Relics of the Past’ by Cyrro. It’s Naruto fic where Iruka is from Whirlpool and takes Naruto in when he’s young. Along with a female Itachi and Sasuke, things are gonna be weird. I also haven’t finished this one because it’s 183 chapters. I’m going to be reading these with a few chapters a day, if that. The last new story is called ‘Clouds in the Sky’ by EriLenx07. It’s a crossover with Harry Potter and KHR. It has a female Harry meeting Hibari in her neighborhood after 5th year (because Vernon is in the mafia). They then spend many hours together. At least, Harriet is back at Hogwarts in the story now (the author spent too much time pre-Hogwarts in my opinion). It’s unfinished, but interesting. There’s not much for today, though there were quite a few new chapters today. Here’s a list of them: The Unseen Hunt, It Gets Worse (this was the last chapter), The Remnant Knight, Enough (the second to last chapter) and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers. I also finished rereading Harry Potter and the Daft Morons (I hope Sinyk gets back to it soon).

I read two chapters of Honestly Harry – The Year of the Rock. However, the only other thing was the pdf of the third Baccano! light novel, “1931 – The Grand Punk Railroad – Express Episode.”

What shall I talk about in this free space? Hm, how about I talk about one of my favorite manga/animes Case Closed (in America, even though it stopped being dubbed after 6 seasons) or Detective Conan. It’s about Shinichi Kudo (I’m going with the Japanese names in English style. Why? Because I watch mostly the sub version to keep up), whose a high school detective that has helped the police solve many cases. He goes to a theme park with his not-girlfriend Ran Mori and after he solves a case there, follows some shady men. One of them catches him and forces him to take a poison that should kill him. However, it actually de-ages him to elementary school age. He eventually ends up staying with Ran and her (not very good) detective father, Kogoro Mori. Neither knows who he really is and he depends on his inventor neighbor to help him solve Kogoro’s cases for him. All while trying to find the people who did this to him to get back his body. This is no easy task, as is shown in that it’s still going after 24 years (the manga started in 1994 and isn’t finished yet). It has over 1000 chapters (though it’s on hiatus for the author’s medical treatment), over 900 episodes and over 20 movies. It must be doing something right. The animation is older at first, but gets better as the years go by. I really recommend this to anyone who is a fan of mystery shows.

Monday

My dog kept me up again because of storms, but I slept late so I’m okay. The only new chapter (from a story I’ve already talked about) I got today was Mauling Snarks, I guess to make up for yesterday’s haul. I got a new chapter for a Seerking story (one that’s not in his normal rotation) called ‘Ranma: Happenstance Gone Right.’ It’s a Ranma ½ story that has Akane not being able to be his fiancée after a diversion in one of the events that makes it so that only Shampoo and Ukyo can marry him. I also rewatched the first few episodes of Log Horizon. It’s a light novel turned anime about a lot of people playing an online game being transported into the game. The main character, Shiroe, along with his friends have to figure out how to live in this new situation while trying to figure out what happened. I like this one and have watched it several times, I hope a third season eventually comes out.

I also reread ‘The Road not Taken’ by sbmcneil. It’s a Harry Potter fic that has Sirius meeting Harry after he runs away in the third book and taking him away for the summer. I last story I started rereading today was ‘Harry and Ginny: A Love Story’ by Epeefencer. It’s a Soul Bond that happens after the Chamber. Harry is drawn to help Ginny and its discovered they have a soul bond. Forces work to help and protect them, while Dumbledore is trying to find out why his plans have gone wrong. It’s interesting and I suggest it, even if it hasn’t been updated since 2015 (the author updates some of their other fics, sometimes). Tuesday

The first thing I read today was another new fic by TexasBean called ‘Harry Potter and The Immortals.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Baccano! crossover fic. Baccano! is a light novel/anime about several groups of people who became immortal at different points in time. The anime jumps around the timeline every episode, so if you’re not a fan of non-linear stories it may not be for you (although it’s a lot less than Homestuck). The books are better focusing on one time period at a time. There are a least sixteen books (in Japan at least) out now and the newest one has been delayed twice because the author hasn’t been feeling well.

The story has McGonagall meeting the main group after the anime finished (1933ish) and meeting up with them several times after that. When Dumbledore has to get a DADA teacher for Harry’s fifth year or get Umbridge, she suggests one of them. Watch the craziness unfold when the Baccano! crew is brought in! The second new fic for me was ‘Harry Potter and the Stargate’ by Sinyk. When I was rereading more chapters of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons, I went to the author’s stories page and found it. It is (as shown in the title) a Harry Potter and Stargate crossover. It has Harry going through the Veil of Death instead of Sirius and learning it is a Stargate and that he is the only one to have made it through the trip. Watch and see what happens (Stargate and Harry Potter in the same universe, not universe traveling). Then I read a few one-shots by senawario. The first one is ‘There’s more than one binding in that contract,’ which has Hermione helping Harry to get a copy of the rules of the Triwizard Tournament. Second was ‘Percy Helps’ which has Hermione tricking Percy into sending Aurors to Harry’s detentions to catch Umbridge. This also changes a lot. I also read another one-shot by Temporal Knight called ‘Hedwig Slightly Unhinged.’ This one has Hedwig wanting to help her master and gets him in a marriage contract before he even gets to Hogwarts. Wednesday

To start off, I read the weekly new story update from Seerking. The fic is called ‘Swordsaint’ and is a Sword Art Online story. It has an OC programmer joining SAO and her presence changes things greatly. It’s currently 16 chapters long and I enjoy reading it. I started reading ‘The Potter Coven’ by flowerchild33. It’s a fic about Hermione getting together with Harry after the tournament and learning the only way get rid of the horcrux is to make a coven.

Moving on, I reread the fic ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Freedom’ by sakurademonalchemist. It’s 42 chapters long (so far) and is a Harry Potter and KHR crossover. After the future incident, the arcabaleno (starting with Skull) wake up in their younger bodies. Skull wakes up as a young boy in a cupboard in a life he tried to get away from. Skull changes many things and tries to help his fellow arcabaleno even if they don’t know who he is. Thursday

Sorry this is a day late everyone! I fell asleep early and forgot to write and post. So, on Thursday I finished The Potter Coven. There were chapter updates for: Cambion, ‘Harry Potter, Lone Traveler, God and Wizard,’ Queen of the Seas, Ripples and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers.

I found an author I liked (kb0) posted a one-shot called ‘Starting Over.’ It’s a Harry Potter fic set in his first year where Harry doesn’t like how things are in Hogwarts and decides to leave. I remember that I reread another one-shot sometime this week called ‘Harry’s Happy Cursing’ by White Angel of Auralon. It has Harry activating a curse that causes people to suffer for as much as they’ve ruined other people’s lives.

I also read the last chapter of Darker Than Black – Heaven’s Gate. It was okay, a fun little fic, but not much else. I would suggest it, but not if you haven’t watched the series.

Other than that, I got to episode 13 (the end before the 3 specials) of Baccano! and read more of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons. Nothing much else on Thursday. I’ll get the Monday post up on time!

The Long (Holiday) Weekend

Friday

Today I continued rereading Legion, but I didn’t finish and only got to chapter 20. There were some new chapters that I read for Queen of the Seas, Cambion, Mauling Snarks and Parva Sub Ingenti. I also played some Pokémon Sun.

As I might have mentioned in my first post, I have all of the Pokémon on the main games in my Pokémon Bank. When I say that I mean that I have at least one copy of every Pokémon released (I hatched eggs from the fully evolved forms to get it so. I got the mythical ones from the events for the 20th anniversary.). One day when I was bored, I decided to level all of them up to 100.

It’s not easy let me tell you that. I have ‘level caps’ that I get them to then go to the next one to raise to that level cap. It goes 20, 35, 50, 70, 90 and finally 100. I can proudly say that none of them are less than level 35.

What I’ve done typically is to restart a game that I’ve cleared all but one my Pokémon in (cause one has to be in the party) and start playing. Since none of my target Pokémon are below 35 I train up extra or event Pokémon (like my hat Pikachus. It’s too bad the ones in the original games can’t evolve, I have enough for that. Maybe with the Let’s Go games I’ll be able to transfer some of my hat Raichus. Who knows?  I also finally got Celebi on PoGo thanks to the psychic event!

Anyway, the only other story I read was ‘Secrecy’ by Serena530. It’s a Harry Potter story where Harry learns Ron and Dumbledore are betraying him at the beginning of 2nd year. He starts staying away from Ron and Hermione (because she doesn’t notice the changes Ron forces on him) and becomes friends with Ginny. Watch how Harry and Ginny deal with the challenges that come before them! I like this one, but the author hasn’t updated it in a while. Hm, so I did a lot today. First of all I finished off Legion (wow four chapters, snort). Second I read the new chapters for Queen of the Seas and Relic of the Future. There was also a new chapter for a story called ‘Sealed Legacy’ by Psycho G. It’s a Naruto story where when Naruto is young, Jiraya stumbles upon a Uzumaki seal that when he activates it (not knowing what it does) almost kills him sending his knowledge and chakra to Naruto. Naruto slowly gets this knowledge and gets some of Jiraya’s habits too. It’s a good story but hasn’t been updated in while, so I was surprised to see it. Third, I started rewatching Darker Than Black because I kept getting updates for a story about it from an author I’m following named Brennus. They wrote a one-shot I mentioned earlier called ‘In the Heat of the Night.’ The story was called ‘Darker Than Black – Heaven’s Gate,’ and I rewatched some of it to remember the characters and story.

Darker Than Black is an anime about Hei, who has the ability to control electricity. He is a ‘contractor,’ someone who’s lost their emotions to get a power. They and ‘Dolls’ (those who also lost their emotions, but can track people instead) evolved from some people when the ‘Heaven Gate’ and ‘Hell Gate’ appeared one day. Hei or as he is dubbed ‘The Black Reaper’ works for ‘The Syndicate’ in tracking down targets and information.

Hei is not a normal contractor as he shows some emotions. He works with a Doll named Yin, an animal consciousness transfer contractor (this means that he can transfer his consciousness to animal) who is stuck in a cat’s body after his own died and a bitter human named Huang who doesn’t like contractors who is the leader. Hei wants to find his sister who disappeared and gets caught up in many events.

I only watched 13 of the 24 episodes (for now), but it was enough for what I needed and read the story. It’s okay, the story takes place after the second series and the author kills off the main female protagonist so another can get together with the main character. Fourth, I started looking for a story I couldn’t remember the name of and now I think its been deleted from Fanfiction.net. I have a store of all the stories on it up to 2015 (no, I didn’t make it) that I eventually found a while back. I eventually found it, ‘Survival of the Lamest’ and its sequel ‘Revenge of the Lamest’ by ShadowMajin.

It’s about Gohan’s class (before he goes to school) goes to his home to ‘camp’, silliness ensues. Also, Goku is alive for some reason. The second one is when Gohan actually goes to school. (This is Monday Matt – I was wrong these two are still up, see my day to get more on this.) I also found ‘Impasse’ and ‘Finesse’ by Dr. Trunks Briefs, I’ll talk about theses when I read them. (Monday Matt again, these are gone from ff.net.)

I didn’t read any of these, but if some wants to read them, let me know and I can send them to you. If anyone wants the archive, I’ll look up the link I got it from and send it to you. However just the zip files for them are several GB large each and the A archive (the archive for all the stories that start with A [the original stories not the fanfiction] and their crossovers) is 10.86 GB. So if want the archive make sure you have lots of space.

Moving on, I also read a new story for me called ‘Eighteen Years a Prodigy’ by AUS Wild Thing. It’s a Dragon Ball Z story I found while searching for the above stories. It’s about Videl, Erasa, and Sharpener going to a work-study program at Capsule Corp (CC). There they meet Gohan who has worked for CC (and never gone to school) for 2 years and is the head of Science and Inventing. It’s an interesting story, but slow updates based on it being started in 2015 and the latest update (the 5th chapter) being in November 2017. The story I mentioned yesterday is called Soul Land and I discovered it yesterday after reading a fanfiction that has it as a crossover with KHR. The fanfiction is a new one by sakurademonalchemist (so soon after the start of Queen of the Seas? Really?) called ‘Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers.’ It has Fon reborn along with the main character and changing the story. Viper/Mammon is also tagged so I assume he/she (the original story never shows their gender) will be in it too. Only one chapter so couldn’t tell how will go. It says it’s crossovered with ManHua/Chinese Comics, but that’s just because there aren’t many fanfictions for Chinese comics (or Korean ones) so they just lump them all together into one category for each country.

Anyway, after reading the chapter I went to find the original story. Soul Land is about Tang San (no, San is his name not a Japanese honorific) who is reincarnated after killing himself for stealing secrets from his clan to help them. At 6 they get a spirit that they can train to get stronger. He gets a Blue Silver Grass (a weak spirit) and a Hammer. He hides the hammer (because none has two spirits) but proves he’s powerful by showing he has lots of spirit power. He goes to an academy to learn how to train his spirit. He has many adventures after that.

I started reading the manga yesterday, but only got to about chapter 21. Today I got to chapter 182. There are currently 212 chapters.

I also read new chapters for The Unseen Hunt, Enough, Queen of the Seas and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers. There were also several new chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet. One of these stories is ‘White’ by Melkor’s Mercy. It’s a Bleach story where Ichigo is eaten by the hollow from the first chapter because Rukia wasn’t in the human world yet. He takes over the hollow and starts changing things in Hueco Mundo. The story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11021904/1/White.

The next one is ‘Under the Sea’ by ginnyrules27. It’s a Harry Potter and “Little Mermaid” crossover. I’d describe the Little Mermaid, but if you haven’t seen it… Go See It Right Now! I mean really, it’s a classic and everyone should be able to say they’ve seen it, even if they hate it. It has the Dudley accidentally trying to drown Harry when he was young. He is found by the Ariel (who is the same age) and Triton makes him a merman. After a few years, Harry is found by McGonagall and Snape who transform him back and erase Harry’s and Ariel’s memories of each other. They meet each other in his fourth year. The last new update is for ‘New Developments’ by Illioh. It’s a Dragon Ball Z story where a spy satellite falls down after Gohan goes to school. It has footage from the Cell Games. How will this change things? Find out from this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7629710/1/New-Developments.

Finally, I started rereading a Slytherin Harry fanfic called ‘Becoming Alpha’ by Miz636. It has Harry going to Slytherin and trying to combine the houses. This is a great story and I love reading it and it’s sequels. This one goes through third year. The overall story is complete and I really recommend it. Today I mostly finished rereading Becoming Alpha, playing Pokemon Sun and did work around the house. I read the new chapters for Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers, Mauling Snarks and Queen of the Seas. I also read an older fic by sakurademonalchemist (meaning it’s unfinished) called ‘Heart of the Soul.’ It’s a KHR crossover with “Ghost Hunt.” Ghost Hunt is a light novel/anime about a girl named Mai who becomes a part of a paranormal agency who try to help those who are afflicted with those types of problems. It’s good! In the fanfic Mai is a female Tsuna who was run out of the house after her brother erased their mother’s memories of her. This one is also good! The last story I read was ‘By Your Side is Where I Belong’ by TexasBean. It’s a One Piece and Naruto crossover. It has Zoro taking Naruto and Gaara (both 9ish) with him a few years before he would join Luffy. Thus Naruto and Gaara also join the One Piece crew. New Story in a Series!

Friday

Today I didn’t read much because of the previously mentioned interview. It took up most of the morning (mostly getting there and back). I thought it went well, but I I’ll find out when I hear back from them if I got the job.

I finished off The Dark Phoenix of Konoha and read the update of Mauling Snarks. Other than that there was an update for another fic I’ve read ‘The Goblet of Fire’s Trap’ by kopakanuvafan20. It’s a crossover between Harry Potter and Negima! Magister Negi Magi.

Negima! Magister Negi Magi (hereafter just called Negima) is about 9 year old Negi Springfield who just graduated from a magic school in Wales and is given his assignment to prove he can be a Magister (The highest rank of mage). This assignment is to teach English at a Japanese All-Girls Middle school. Oh, and he can’t reveal that he has magic or he’ll be turned into an ermine (if you don’t know what that is, just look it up). When he’s a younger teacher to a class of 31 curious young girls, that’s not gonna be easy.

So it’s been a while since I read this one and I’m not going to lie, the writing style is not that great and the story kinda jumps around. Essentially, Harry learn how to become a phoenix animagus after the Chamber of Secrets, goes to learn how to be a Jedi (for like a few paragraphs) then ends up going to Mahora (the school in Negima) and metamorphs into a girl (Roselyn Evans) and goes to school there until he is pulled to England for the Triwizard Tournament. I’m not that interested in it anymore because of the writing style. I read and watched a few new stories today so be prepared! The first was a story by White Angel of Auralon called ‘Enough’. It’s a Harry Potter story where Harry knows that Dumbledore and his ‘friends’ don’t have his best interests at heart and trains himself to take his NEWTs right after his OWLs. He deviates from the story by going to a summer camp after fourth year (and Dudley and his gang get kissed because Harry’s not there). There are more changes, but this is first major change to what happens. It has 4 chapters and was just started on the 1st of this month. I also read a two-part story by the same author called ‘Bolt Fashion’. In it Harry is more practical and works to gain more money from before he goes to Hogwarts. He decides to start his own Fashion line and does so his fifth year. Voldie and his minions get taken out by almost accident. I reread Petrification Proliferation, read more of Honestly Harry – The Year of the Rock and read the new chapters of An Essence of Sliver and Steel, Relic of the Future and How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.

The next fic I reread is called ‘Aura Shinobi’ by guardsmansparky. It’s a Naruto and Pokemon crossover where Arceus saves Naruto when he tries to Summon without a contract at a young age. He sends Naruto back, but sends Lucario to train him and makes a Pokemon summoning contract for him. The next is a Sailor Moon story called ‘Unexpected Restart’ by Serena530. It has Serena (Usagi’s name in the english dub) wishing to restart from when she meet Darien after he dies/is captured (she doesn’t know) after the rest of her team doesn’t really care what happened to him. Her Silver Crystal grants her wish and she changes how everything happens to make it better. I like it and I’ve read other stories by this author that are good, so I recommend it. The last new story I read today is called ‘Underneath the Underneath’ by FlamexFullmetal.   It’s a Naruto story with a nice Kyuubi who helps him become stronger. The last thing I did today was watch the first 3 episodes of the new anime called “Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria” or “The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar” in English. It’s a story about Yuto Suoh who takes a phone photo of himself in front of a ancient mirror that transports him to a different time where he becomes the leader of a warrior society. He wants to go back, if only to see his childhood friend that he can communicate with on his phone if he’s near his version of the mirror. This is his story.

Lastly, Umei no Mei updated Pick up the Pieces and Move On to say that starting Monday and until Friday she will post a chapter to the sequel to it (and the last on in the series) once a day. I’m looking forward to it! It’ll be on the Monday post I assume!

Today I started rereading Ripples, I got to chapter 50, but that’s not all I read today. I read the new chapters of The Unseen Hunt and Stand Together and Smile. I also read some chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet.

The first is called ‘SAO: The Eroge’ by SaintInfernalNeos. It’s a Sword Art Online fic where Kirito gets the power of an eroge protagonist a little before the SAO incident. This means that girls fall in love with him and he can raise their interest points toward him. This causes massive changes this in the SAO universe. The other update was from ‘Naberius Heir’ by Liam G. This author writes good stories, but none of them have finished. This one is the longest at 24 chapters (the chapters are fairly long though). This one is a Bleach and High School DxD crossover. It has Ichigo having his memories suppressed to save him from the council after the Winter War because his last linage wakes up (hint he’s from devil decent). His Great-Grandfather takes him in and has Rias (pre-story) take care of him. No one from Bleach really knows where he is, though they want to know. See how things turn out. Other than that I watched some Youtube videos explaining some of the things that went into Homestuck. Like it being an origin story. I can post the links to them if anyone is actually interested.

Well, first I finished off Ripples. I also read the new chapters for SeerKing’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Bugging Me, Mauling Snarks and I, Panacea. I read the other only Fairy Tail that the real narina has ‘Dreams of Dragons’. It has Acnologia helping Mavis found Fairy Tail (though things still happen with Zeref) and staying on to help it along. The only other story I read was the one I was looking forward to, ‘Pick up the Pieces and Rebuild’ by Umei no Mei. It’s a good start where Xanxus starts setting things up leave the failing Vongola behind while saving what he can. Really looking forward to the rest of the chapters coming out this week! Seeing as I have not read anything else, I’ll talk about “Fruits Basket.” It’s a manga by Natsuki Takaya about a girl named Tohru Honda. She’s a high school student who attempts to live in a tent after her mother dies. She is found out and ends up living with a few members of the Sohma family, only to learn that they and several other of their family members are cursed (it’s a reoccurring one in the family) to turn into the animals of the Zodiac and the cat. This happens when they are weak or a member of the opposite sex hugs them. Follow her as she meets all of them and tries to help them while learning about herself and even falling in love.

They made an anime for it and while it starts off okay; they just kind of have a tacked on ending for it. I would love to have a reboot of it (like Fullmetal Alchemist), I don’t think it will happen. I hope you look it up!
