Sorry, I’m Late Again

Sorry, I’ll explain in Thursday’s part of the post.

Tuesday

The first thing I read today was another new fic by TexasBean called ‘Harry Potter and The Immortals.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Baccano! crossover fic. Baccano! is a light novel/anime about several groups of people who became immortal at different points in time. The anime jumps around the timeline every episode, so if you’re not a fan of non-linear stories it may not be for you (although it’s a lot less than Homestuck). The books are better focusing on one time period at a time. There are a least sixteen books (in Japan at least) out now and the newest one has been delayed twice because the author hasn’t been feeling well.

The story has McGonagall meeting the main group after the anime finished (1933ish) and meeting up with them several times after that. When Dumbledore has to get a DADA teacher for Harry’s fifth year or get Umbridge, she suggests one of them. Watch the craziness unfold when the Baccano! crew is brought in! The second new fic for me was ‘Harry Potter and the Stargate’ by Sinyk. When I was rereading more chapters of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons, I went to the author’s stories page and found it. It is (as shown in the title) a Harry Potter and Stargate crossover. It has Harry going through the Veil of Death instead of Sirius and learning it is a Stargate and that he is the only one to have made it through the trip. Watch and see what happens (Stargate and Harry Potter in the same universe, not universe traveling). Then I read a few one-shots by senawario. The first one is ‘There’s more than one binding in that contract,’ which has Hermione helping Harry to get a copy of the rules of the Triwizard Tournament. Second was ‘Percy Helps’ which has Hermione tricking Percy into sending Aurors to Harry’s detentions to catch Umbridge. This also changes a lot. I also read another one-shot by Temporal Knight called ‘Hedwig Slightly Unhinged.’ This one has Hedwig wanting to help her master and gets him in a marriage contract before he even gets to Hogwarts. Wednesday

To start off, I read the weekly new story update from Seerking. The fic is called ‘Swordsaint’ and is a Sword Art Online story. It has an OC programmer joining SAO and her presence changes things greatly. It’s currently 16 chapters long and I enjoy reading it. I started reading ‘The Potter Coven’ by flowerchild33. It’s a fic about Hermione getting together with Harry after the tournament and learning the only way get rid of the horcrux is to make a coven.

This fic has sex/smut, if your underage or don’t like female/female sex this one is not for you. There are also sex rituals so, like I’ve said before, don’t like, don’t read.

Moving on, I reread the fic ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Freedom’ by sakurademonalchemist. It’s 42 chapters long (so far) and is a Harry Potter and KHR crossover. After the future incident, the arcabaleno (starting with Skull) wake up in their younger bodies. Skull wakes up as a young boy in a cupboard in a life he tried to get away from. Skull changes many things and tries to help his fellow arcabaleno even if they don’t know who he is. Thursday

Sorry this is a day late everyone! I fell asleep early and forgot to write and post. So, on Thursday I finished The Potter Coven. There were chapter updates for: Cambion, ‘Harry Potter, Lone Traveler, God and Wizard,’ Queen of the Seas, Ripples and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers.

I found an author I liked (kb0) posted a one-shot called ‘Starting Over.’ It’s a Harry Potter fic set in his first year where Harry doesn’t like how things are in Hogwarts and decides to leave. I remember that I reread another one-shot sometime this week called ‘Harry’s Happy Cursing’ by White Angel of Auralon. It has Harry activating a curse that causes people to suffer for as much as they’ve ruined other people’s lives.

I also read the last chapter of Darker Than Black – Heaven’s Gate. It was okay, a fun little fic, but not much else. I would suggest it, but not if you haven’t watched the series.

Other than that, I got to episode 13 (the end before the 3 specials) of Baccano! and read more of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons. Nothing much else on Thursday. I’ll get the Monday post up on time!

The Long (Holiday) Weekend

Friday

Today I continued rereading Legion, but I didn’t finish and only got to chapter 20. There were some new chapters that I read for Queen of the Seas, Cambion, Mauling Snarks and Parva Sub Ingenti. I also played some Pokémon Sun.

As I might have mentioned in my first post, I have all of the Pokémon on the main games in my Pokémon Bank. When I say that I mean that I have at least one copy of every Pokémon released (I hatched eggs from the fully evolved forms to get it so. I got the mythical ones from the events for the 20^th anniversary.). One day when I was bored, I decided to level all of them up to 100.

It’s not easy let me tell you that. I have ‘level caps’ that I get them to then go to the next one to raise to that level cap. It goes 20, 35, 50, 70, 90 and finally 100. I can proudly say that none of them are less than level 35.

What I’ve done typically is to restart a game that I’ve cleared all but one my Pokémon in (cause one has to be in the party) and start playing. Since none of my target Pokémon are below 35 I train up extra or event Pokémon (like my hat Pikachus. It’s too bad the ones in the original games can’t evolve, I have enough for that. Maybe with the Let’s Go games I’ll be able to transfer some of my hat Raichus. Who knows? I also finally got Celebi on PoGo thanks to the psychic event!

Anyway, the only other story I read was ‘Secrecy’ by Serena530. It’s a Harry Potter story where Harry learns Ron and Dumbledore are betraying him at the beginning of 2^nd year. He starts staying away from Ron and Hermione (because she doesn’t notice the changes Ron forces on him) and becomes friends with Ginny. Watch how Harry and Ginny deal with the challenges that come before them! I like this one, but the author hasn’t updated it in a while. Hm, so I did a lot today. First of all I finished off Legion (wow four chapters, snort). Second I read the new chapters for Queen of the Seas and Relic of the Future. There was also a new chapter for a story called ‘Sealed Legacy’ by Psycho G. It’s a Naruto story where when Naruto is young, Jiraya stumbles upon a Uzumaki seal that when he activates it (not knowing what it does) almost kills him sending his knowledge and chakra to Naruto. Naruto slowly gets this knowledge and gets some of Jiraya’s habits too. It’s a good story but hasn’t been updated in while, so I was surprised to see it. Third, I started rewatching Darker Than Black because I kept getting updates for a story about it from an author I’m following named Brennus. They wrote a one-shot I mentioned earlier called ‘In the Heat of the Night.’ The story was called ‘Darker Than Black – Heaven’s Gate,’ and I rewatched some of it to remember the characters and story.

Darker Than Black is an anime about Hei, who has the ability to control electricity. He is a ‘contractor,’ someone who’s lost their emotions to get a power. They and ‘Dolls’ (those who also lost their emotions, but can track people instead) evolved from some people when the ‘Heaven Gate’ and ‘Hell Gate’ appeared one day. Hei or as he is dubbed ‘The Black Reaper’ works for ‘The Syndicate’ in tracking down targets and information.

Hei is not a normal contractor as he shows some emotions. He works with a Doll named Yin, an animal consciousness transfer contractor (this means that he can transfer his consciousness to animal) who is stuck in a cat’s body after his own died and a bitter human named Huang who doesn’t like contractors who is the leader. Hei wants to find his sister who disappeared and gets caught up in many events.

I only watched 13 of the 24 episodes (for now), but it was enough for what I needed and read the story. It’s okay, the story takes place after the second series and the author kills off the main female protagonist so another can get together with the main character. Fourth, I started looking for a story I couldn’t remember the name of and now I think its been deleted from Fanfiction.net. I have a store of all the stories on it up to 2015 (no, I didn’t make it) that I eventually found a while back. I eventually found it, ‘Survival of the Lamest’ and its sequel ‘Revenge of the Lamest’ by ShadowMajin.

It’s about Gohan’s class (before he goes to school) goes to his home to ‘camp’, silliness ensues. Also, Goku is alive for some reason. The second one is when Gohan actually goes to school. (This is Monday Matt – I was wrong these two are still up, see my day to get more on this.) I also found ‘Impasse’ and ‘Finesse’ by Dr. Trunks Briefs, I’ll talk about theses when I read them. (Monday Matt again, these are gone from ff.net.)

I didn’t read any of these, but if some wants to read them, let me know and I can send them to you. If anyone wants the archive, I’ll look up the link I got it from and send it to you. However just the zip files for them are several GB large each and the A archive (the archive for all the stories that start with A [the original stories not the fanfiction] and their crossovers) is 10.86 GB. So if want the archive make sure you have lots of space.

Moving on, I also read a new story for me called ‘Eighteen Years a Prodigy’ by AUS Wild Thing. It’s a Dragon Ball Z story I found while searching for the above stories. It’s about Videl, Erasa, and Sharpener going to a work-study program at Capsule Corp (CC). There they meet Gohan who has worked for CC (and never gone to school) for 2 years and is the head of Science and Inventing. It’s an interesting story, but slow updates based on it being started in 2015 and the latest update (the 5^th chapter) being in November 2017. The story I mentioned yesterday is called Soul Land and I discovered it yesterday after reading a fanfiction that has it as a crossover with KHR. The fanfiction is a new one by sakurademonalchemist (so soon after the start of Queen of the Seas? Really?) called ‘Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers.’ It has Fon reborn along with the main character and changing the story. Viper/Mammon is also tagged so I assume he/she (the original story never shows their gender) will be in it too. Only one chapter so couldn’t tell how will go. It says it’s crossovered with ManHua/Chinese Comics, but that’s just because there aren’t many fanfictions for Chinese comics (or Korean ones) so they just lump them all together into one category for each country.

Anyway, after reading the chapter I went to find the original story. Soul Land is about Tang San (no, San is his name not a Japanese honorific) who is reincarnated after killing himself for stealing secrets from his clan to help them. At 6 they get a spirit that they can train to get stronger. He gets a Blue Silver Grass (a weak spirit) and a Hammer. He hides the hammer (because none has two spirits) but proves he’s powerful by showing he has lots of spirit power. He goes to an academy to learn how to train his spirit. He has many adventures after that.

I started reading the manga yesterday, but only got to about chapter 21. Today I got to chapter 182. There are currently 212 chapters.

I also read new chapters for The Unseen Hunt, Enough, Queen of the Seas and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers. There were also several new chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet. One of these stories is ‘White’ by Melkor’s Mercy. It’s a Bleach story where Ichigo is eaten by the hollow from the first chapter because Rukia wasn’t in the human world yet. He takes over the hollow and starts changing things in Hueco Mundo. The story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11021904/1/White.

The next one is ‘Under the Sea’ by ginnyrules27. It’s a Harry Potter and “Little Mermaid” crossover. I’d describe the Little Mermaid, but if you haven’t seen it… Go See It Right Now! I mean really, it’s a classic and everyone should be able to say they’ve seen it, even if they hate it. It has the Dudley accidentally trying to drown Harry when he was young. He is found by the Ariel (who is the same age) and Triton makes him a merman. After a few years, Harry is found by McGonagall and Snape who transform him back and erase Harry’s and Ariel’s memories of each other. They meet each other in his fourth year. Finally, I started rereading a Slytherin Harry fanfic called ‘Becoming Alpha’ by Miz636. It has Harry going to Slytherin and trying to combine the houses. This is a great story and I love reading it and it’s sequels. This one goes through third year. The overall story is complete and I really recommend it. Today I mostly finished rereading Becoming Alpha, playing Pokemon Sun and did work around the house. I read the new chapters for Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers, Mauling Snarks and Queen of the Seas. I also read an older fic by sakurademonalchemist (meaning it’s unfinished) called ‘Heart of the Soul.’ It’s a KHR crossover with “Ghost Hunt.” Ghost Hunt is a light novel/anime about a girl named Mai who becomes a part of a paranormal agency who try to help those who are afflicted with those types of problems. It’s good! In the fanfic Mai is a female Tsuna who was run out of the house after her brother erased their mother’s memories of her. This one is also good! The last story I read was ‘By Your Side is Where I Belong’ by TexasBean. It’s a One Piece and Naruto crossover. It has Zoro taking Naruto and Gaara (both 9ish) with him a few years before he would join Luffy. Thus Naruto and Gaara also join the One Piece crew. New Story in a Series!

Friday

Today I didn’t read much because of the previously mentioned interview. It took up most of the morning (mostly getting there and back). I thought it went well, but I I’ll find out when I hear back from them if I got the job.

I finished off The Dark Phoenix of Konoha and read the update of Mauling Snarks. Other than that there was an update for another fic I’ve read ‘The Goblet of Fire’s Trap’ by kopakanuvafan20. It’s a crossover between Harry Potter and Negima! Magister Negi Magi.

Negima! Magister Negi Magi (hereafter just called Negima) is about 9 year old Negi Springfield who just graduated from a magic school in Wales and is given his assignment to prove he can be a Magister (The highest rank of mage). This assignment is to teach English at a Japanese All-Girls Middle school. Oh, and he can’t reveal that he has magic or he’ll be turned into an ermine (if you don’t know what that is, just look it up). When he’s a younger teacher to a class of 31 curious young girls, that’s not gonna be easy.

So it’s been a while since I read this one and I’m not going to lie, the writing style is not that great and the story kinda jumps around. Essentially, Harry learn how to become a phoenix animagus after the Chamber of Secrets, goes to learn how to be a Jedi (for like a few paragraphs) then ends up going to Mahora (the school in Negima) and metamorphs into a girl (Roselyn Evans) and goes to school there until he is pulled to England for the Triwizard Tournament. I’m not that interested in it anymore because of the writing style. You can read it, but as I’ve already warned you, be prepared to not like it much. I read and watched a few new stories today so be prepared! The first was a story by White Angel of Auralon called ‘Enough’. It’s a Harry Potter story where Harry knows that Dumbledore and his ‘friends’ don’t have his best interests at heart and trains himself to take his NEWTs right after his OWLs. He deviates from the story by going to a summer camp after fourth year (and Dudley and his gang get kissed because Harry’s not there). There are more changes, but this is first major change to what happens. It has 4 chapters and was just started on the 1^st of this month. I also read a two-part story by the same author called ‘Bolt Fashion’. In it Harry is more practical and works to gain more money from before he goes to Hogwarts. He decides to start his own Fashion line and does so his fifth year. Voldie and his minions get taken out by almost accident. I reread Petrification Proliferation, read more of Honestly Harry – The Year of the Rock and read the new chapters of An Essence of Sliver and Steel, Relic of the Future and How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.

The next fic I reread is called ‘Aura Shinobi’ by guardsmansparky. It’s a Naruto and Pokemon crossover where Arceus saves Naruto when he tries to Summon without a contract at a young age. He sends Naruto back, but sends Lucario to train him and makes a Pokemon summoning contract for him. The next is a Sailor Moon story called ‘Unexpected Restart’ by Serena530. It has Serena (Usagi’s name in the english dub) wishing to restart from when she meet Darien after he dies/is captured (she doesn’t know) after the rest of her team doesn’t really care what happened to him. Her Silver Crystal grants her wish and she changes how everything happens to make it better. I like it and I’ve read other stories by this author that are good, so I recommend it. The last new story I read today is called ‘Underneath the Underneath’ by FlamexFullmetal. It’s a Naruto story with a nice Kyuubi who helps him become stronger. The last thing I did today was watch the first 3 episodes of the new anime called “Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria” or “The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar” in English. It’s a story about Yuto Suoh who takes a phone photo of himself in front of a ancient mirror that transports him to a different time where he becomes the leader of a warrior society. He wants to go back, if only to see his childhood friend that he can communicate with on his phone if he’s near his version of the mirror. This is his story.

Lastly, Umei no Mei updated Pick up the Pieces and Move On to say that starting Monday and until Friday she will post a chapter to the sequel to it (and the last on in the series) once a day. I’m looking forward to it! It’ll be on the Monday post I assume!

Today I started rereading Ripples, I got to chapter 50, but that’s not all I read today. I read the new chapters of The Unseen Hunt and Stand Together and Smile. I also read some chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet.

The first is called ‘SAO: The Eroge’ by SaintInfernalNeos. It’s a Sword Art Online fic where Kirito gets the power of an eroge protagonist a little before the SAO incident. This means that girls fall in love with him and he can raise their interest points toward him. This causes massive changes this in the SAO universe. The other update was from ‘Naberius Heir’ by Liam G. This author writes good stories, but none of them have finished. This one is the longest at 24 chapters (the chapters are fairly long though). This one is a Bleach and High School DxD crossover. It has Ichigo having his memories suppressed to save him from the council after the Winter War because his last linage wakes up (hint he’s from devil decent). His Great-Grandfather takes him in and has Rias (pre-story) take care of him. No one from Bleach really knows where he is, though they want to know. See how things turn out. Other than that I watched some Youtube videos explaining some of the things that went into Homestuck. Like it being an origin story. I can post the links to them if anyone is actually interested.

Monday

Well, first I finished off Ripples. I also read the new chapters for SeerKing’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Bugging Me, Mauling Snarks and I, Panacea. I read the other only Fairy Tail that the real narina has ‘Dreams of Dragons’. It has Acnologia helping Mavis found Fairy Tail (though things still happen with Zeref) and staying on to help it along. The only other story I read was the one I was looking forward to, ‘Pick up the Pieces and Rebuild’ by Umei no Mei. It’s a good start where Xanxus starts setting things up leave the failing Vongola behind while saving what he can. Really looking forward to the rest of the chapters coming out this week! Seeing as I have not read anything else, I’ll talk about “Fruits Basket.” It’s a manga by Natsuki Takaya about a girl named Tohru Honda. She’s a high school student who attempts to live in a tent after her mother dies. She is found out and ends up living with a few members of the Sohma family, only to learn that they and several other of their family members are cursed (it’s a reoccurring one in the family) to turn into the animals of the Zodiac and the cat. This happens when they are weak or a member of the opposite sex hugs them. Follow her as she meets all of them and tries to help them while learning about herself and even falling in love.

They made an anime for it and while it starts off okay; they just kind of have a tacked on ending for it. I would love to have a reboot of it (like Fullmetal Alchemist), I don’t think it will happen. I hope you look it up!

A Normal Three Days

Today I spent a lot of time with Coeur Al’Aran’s fanfictions. I fully reread a previously mentioned fic, ‘Relic of the Future’ because I hadn’t been keeping up with the story and wanted to catch up. I also read the first chapter of their new story ‘The Unseen Hunt’. It’s a RWBY story set in the real world that deals with the supernatural. Like most of their fics it’s based around Jaune. I also started reading another of their fics I haven’t read before, ‘Not this time, Fate.’ It’s finished and deals with a Jaune that is tired of the repeat that happens every time he dies during the attack on Vale. I read a few more chapters of Honestly Harry – Getting to Hogwarts and read new chapters for Warlock, GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There and The Healing Touch. I also got an update for a fic I haven’t mentioned yet.

It’s called ‘Ripples’ by the real narnia. This is a sort of self-insert into the “Fairy Tail” universe. Fairy Tail is a manga/anime that is set in a world where magic is a normal part of life. It follows the story of the magic guild called Fairy Tail and their adventures. The main characters are Lucy (who can summon spirits, including ones based off the Zodiac), Natsu (whose a dragon slayer and is trying to find his the dragon who raised him), Happy (a talking blue cat with wings), Erza (a mage who equips swords and armor) and Gray (an Ice mage who can’t keep his cloths on).

In Ripples, the self-insert Ella, is sent to the Fairy Tail world after dying. She is young and has a new type of magic. She joins up long before most of the characters do and does her best to change things for the better. But her changes cause ripples (ah, see what she did there) and many things change, both good and bad. I really liked this fic and am glad it is continuing. Wednesday

As usual, I’ll start off with Seerking’s updated story that I mentioned last post, Uzumaki Naruko: To the Victor, the Spoils V2. It starts off after the Mizuki graduation incident and has a female Naruto – Naruko (which is often the name of his female transformed shadow clones if they’re around long enough). She has lived a similar, but different life and it shows in her friends and actions. See how these changes affect things. It’s version two because the first version was taken off because of the mature scenes. Said scenes are now on another website. I finished off Not this time, Fate and read more of Honestly Harry – Getting to Hogwarts. There were also new chapters for GATE: Thus The Chosen One Fought There (it’s been updating daily for the last week or so) and Heroes Assemble!

There were also updates from two stories I haven’t mentioned yet. The first fic I read is called ‘A Worthless Quirk’ by TitaniumDragon22. It has Izuku getting his mother’s quirk of attraction of small objects. He uses this to try and become a great hero. The second fic is called ‘Worm: More Than Meets the Eye’ by Zero-metallix. It’s a Worm and Transformers crossover. The actual Transformers aren’t really in it, but they do make their own power ‘shard’ and Taylor triggers with it making her able to create at least the smaller transformers. Many things change and it makes it a completely different story. It is now on it’s 108^th chapter. I also started rereading a fic called ‘Dark Phoenix of Konoha’ by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a Naruto story that has Naruto hiding his abilities until he graduates. He’s still hiding more of his abilities, but goes under a disguise he calls Dark Phoenix to protect himself. Thursday

Figure I would say this first, I got a call to come in for a job interview tomorrow! Wish me luck! I also bought my ticket for the new Pokemon movie coming to theaters in the US in late November/early December. It’s called The Power of Us and I’m looking forward to it!

Moving on to the things I’ve read, I finished Honestly Harry – Getting to Hogwarts and have moved onto the second fic in the series, ‘Honestly Harry – The Year of the Rock.’ It tells the story of the first year at Hogwarts for Harry, Ginny, Hermione and their friends and family. The new story I read today is called ‘OverGamer’ by SaintInfernalNeos. It is a crossover between Sword Art Online and the Overlord games. To be honest, I don’t know much about the games. The story has Kazuto running away after he learns he’s adopted and accidentally learning he’s the descendent of the Overlord and is forced to train to become one himself. I looked through a few of Fanfiction.net’s Homestuck fics, but nothing popped out at me. The only update for a story was of course, GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There.

Weekend of Stories (and Homestuck)

Friday

So, I’ve reached somewhere in Act 6: Act 2 of Homestuck (there are apparently 6 Acts in Act 6, go figure). I’m on page 4929. And we have more new characters! Like 12 new troll characters (if I’m reading into this correctly, though I don’t know how many are actually important at this point) and two unknowns. Moving on from the weird story I can’t stop reading; I did read other things!

I read the new chapter of Mauling Snarks. The story I’m betaing for, History’s Strongest Disciple Again?, put the newest chapter out today. I finished rereading No Need for Harry and read some more of The Accidental Animagus. I read the newest chapter of Parva Sub Ingenti by Quatermass and learned of their new one, which I read.

It’s called ‘GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There,’ and it’s a GATE and Star Wars Crossover. Essentially, Anakin crash lands on the world on the other side of the Gate around the beginning of the story (not too long before Episode II for him). azndrgn, the author I beta for, also updated another one of his stories – ‘Mending the Knots.’ Which is another RWBY one where Jaune doesn’t get into Beacon and starts a business. He also started a new story called, ‘How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.’ It’s a My Hero Academia story with a very slight One Piece (I’ll talk about One Piece eventually) crossover. Izuku (the main character who’s Hero name is Deku) gets Luffy’s powers (the upsides and the downsides) after being forcefed a strange fruit. Watch how this changes things. Lastly, but not leastly (I’m aware it’s not a word, but I wanted it to be that way), I started rereading the first story in the ‘Honestly Harry’ series by Captain Compass. It’s called ‘Honestly Harry – Getting to Hogwarts.’ It has Hagrid taking Harry to Hogwarts instead of staying in the hut when he tells him he’s a wizard. Many things change because of this. This is a soul bond story and is up to seventh story and the fourth year (seventh because before first year, after second year and after third year have their own stories). Getting to Hogwarts has 80 chapters (they aren’t that long though). None of the others have that many chapters, but the chapters get longer. It’s a good story, but not a frequent updater. I was able to walk for PoGo today and was able to hatch both a Kangaskhan and a Mr. Mime. YAY! Thus my Gen 1 Pokédex was finished. I’m still working on the Celebi Quests (the 7 day thing doesn’t finish until Monday), but other than the one that hasn’t been released I have all of Gen 2 as well. Just missing the regionals for Gen 3 (along with the unreleased ones). It’s community day tomorrow for the Chikorita shiny, hope that goes well! See you tomorrow, right below this!

Saturday

Sigh. Today was both good and bad. So, I don’t think I’ve mentioned that I have a dog. She’s a longhaired Chihuahua. I love her a lot, but she doesn’t like storms at all. It was just my luck that it stormed heavily last night. She stays in my room at night and insisted on waking me up periodically to comfort her. I gave up on going back to sleep at 6, but then the storm ended. I’ve been a bit tired all day though.

Moving on, GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There and Plenipotent Player Prince put out new chapters today and I read some more Honestly Harry – Getting to Hogwarts. I also got an update for a reading story by yukicrewger called ‘Reading Chronicles Book 1: To The Victor, the Spoils.’ It has Naruto characters reading the fanfiction ‘Uzumaki Naruko: To the Victor, the Spoils’ by Seerking. It’s the one that will be updated this coming Wednesday, so I’ll talk about it then. It’s amusing, but more complicated that I think it should be (the reading story not the original). I watched some episodes of Skyward Wing playing Kingdom Hearts – Re:Coded and read some more of Ginny Returns. I was out for all three hours of the PoGo community day and got 9 shinnies. There was also this thing with an unknown Pokémon after the event that turned mostly into dittos after they were caught (I got a few ones that were chikoritas). I think it was teaser for the new Pokémon that’s going to be able to be gifted to PoGo from the Let’s Go games.

I’ve gotten to page 5263 of Homestuck. I’m on Act 6 Intermission 3, so far intermissions two and three are mini-games that I’ve watched someone else play instead of doing it myself. They mostly deal with introducing said 12 new trolls I mentioned yesterday and their history. To be honest, I think my projection that they would mostly be minor characters is mostly likely true.

Today was a very one story intensive one. I read some more of Honestly Harry – Getting to Hogwarts and Ginny Returns, but it was mostly Homestuck. After another intermission or two like the previous ones, the story finally got to when all the main characters are together. Only for the situation to go to crap in several ways and then for another character to go off the rails to fix it (which where I am now). I got to page 6553. I’m not sure how long it will take for me to finish it, but things are very interesting now and there are more short pages. I’m thinking of doing something with the information I’ve gotten from this story when I finish it, but don’t know what it will be.

In the absence of other reading material, I figure I should talk about One Piece. One Piece is the story about Luffy D. Monkey (in the English style). He wants to become King of the Pirates by finding One Piece where the former King left his treasure.

Luffy has become a rubber man (meaning his body is made of rubber) because he ate a Devil Fruit. Those who eat one get powers, but can never swim again and being in water depowers them. The story starts as he begins his journey to find a crew (and an actual boat). There are over 850 episodes out in Japan and the manga is still going. The English version, isn’t that good (at least at the beginning, didn’t watch much after that) and the dubbed song sucked.

SO! I finished Homestuck! All 8130 freaking pages. The main bit of the final fights was a 17ish min video. I think I learned something from this, but I can’t honestly tell you what that is yet. It’s freeing, but also a bit sad to be finished. There were some unanswered questions, but nothing that was too bad and a bit of mystery to an ending is never a bad thing.

I went back to my old posts to see when I started reading Homestuck and it was Tuesday the 4^th of this month. Today is the 24^th, so I read it in 20 days. That might as well be mostly like 14 days because I don’t think I read it much for the first week after I found it. Wow, that’s a lot even for me, especially these last few days. I would not suggest this story unless you plan to only read it sporadically or have a lot of time (and patience). There are at least 50 characters you have to pay attention to by the end (including dead copies from other timelines) and there is a lot of time ‘shenanigans’ as they call it. That’s not including the author deciding to have his own moment in the story with his own side story (including weird things dealing with the fourth wall being an actual wall [or window]?).

But enough about that, I read more of Honestly Harry – Getting to Hogwarts and finished Ginny’s Return. I read the new chapters for: It Gets Worse, Warlock, Cambion, GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There and Mauling Snarks. I also reread two one-shots by kb0.

The first is called ‘Who Did It?’ It has Harry refusing that he should be in the tournament and working to solve who put him in it. The second one is called “Hogwarts Protection System.” In it Hogwarts has a protection system and it activates when too many things threatening students come into the school on the night of Harry’s sorting. The Aurors are called (by the Sorting Hat), many things come out and several problems are solved or at least the process is started. I also finished the sixth set of quests for the Celebi quest. I finished two of the seventh set, the Gold Gen 2 medal and the excellent curve ball. I only got one grass for the 40 grass or psychic type Pokémon, which sucks. Hope I finish it soon (wish I had this one during the community day).

A Walking Weekend

Friday

Today, I had more time and thus read a lot more, mostly Homestuck. I got to page 2378. Almost all of the trolls have been introduced, but they’re kinda really out there. It’s going through their ‘origins’ and many of the trolls are messed up (in the head mostly, but also a lot physically especially from each other). Yeah, might take a break from this one for a little bit.

I’ve been actually rereading the story From Fake Dreams that I’ve mentioned before. I’m able to reread many stories faster because I copy the text of a chapter onto a text to speech app called Voice Dream. It keeps the chapter copy so I can search for it if I want to listen to it again. I know some people don’t like the ‘computerized’ voice, but I have one with a British accent and I like it!

I read new chapters from both Taylor Varga (Yay!) and Mauling Snarks. Other than that I read the three newest chapters of the Korean manga called, “The Gamer”. It’s about a boy named Han Jee-Han who gains the power to treat life like a video game. He can level up, get items, learn skills from books, quests, and many more similar things. This leads him into the Abyss, the underworld of those with magic and other abilities. Watch as he learns to hone his skills (including the dish washing one) and make his own way in the Abyss. It has 239 chapters so far.

Today was a lazy day mostly, because it was very rainy. I don’t live on the east coast, but to all those that are (Especially in the Carolinas) stay safe! I mostly reread (listened to) From Fake Dreams, though I did go out and walk a little to hatch some eggs in PoGo to get those regionals (none today, I hatched to ones that I got before the event).

I rewatched the a few of Pokemon shorts called “Pokemon Generations” that animates some of the scenes from the game (including short side stories that you didn’t know). To name some are: Blue’s run through the Pokemon League before you from the Red and Blue games and life throughout the games in the eyes of a Pikachu. Other than that I got a new chapter of An Essence of Silver and Steel and one I haven’t mentioned before, ‘Stand Together and Smile’ by KnightEstoc. It’s a Sword Art Online fanfic that has the main characters Asuna and Kirito (Kazuto) meeting and becoming friends as kids IRL before the main storyline. In absence of more things I’ve read today, I figured I just mention how diverse anime and manga are. I mean you have the sci-fi and magical ones, but I’m just talking about in terms of ones about sports. They have ones for the ‘main’ sports: Football (Soccer to those of us from America. Because we just can’t have the same name for things that the rest of the world does. I mean take the way we tell time for example, Americans call the 24 hour clock ‘Military time’, when to the rest of the world it’s just normal time) represented by “Whistle”, America Football represented by “Eyeshield 21”, Tennis represented by “The Prince of Tennis”, Baseball represented by “Cross Game”, Boxing represented by “Hajime no Ippo”, and volleyball represented by “Haikyu!!” (Keep in mind these are just one example of each, there are more especially Baseball and Football). However there are some for other, more obscure sports: Table Tennis represented by “Ping Pong” (Yes, that’s the name of the manga), Swimming represented by “Free!”, and Badminton by “Smash!” to name a few. Feel free to look these up!

Today I also walked some more to hatch regional eggs (And 10km for Celebi quests), but the only regional I hatched was a Tauros. I did finish the first eevee 10km quest and evolved it into a shiny umbreon at night for the next set (just one more 10km!). I reread (listened) to more of From Fake Dreams and am almost finished, just another ten chapters or so to get to where it currently is at 52 chapters.

I finished up Pokemon Generations, but that’s it. I’ll talk about Doctor Who today. For those who don’t know, Doctor Who is a British show that started in the 1960’s about a Time Lord named The Doctor who traveled space and time with his companions. When he dies, he is reincarnated into a different body. The series went on for a few decades and made it through 8 regenerations before it stopped for a while. It was rebooted in the 2000’s and started on the 9^th (really 10^th) regeneration. I started watching a few years after the reboot, but they’re already on the 13^th (really 14^th) Doctor, who is now a woman. (The ‘9^th’ doctor is called the War Doctor and is only in the movie ‘The Day of the Doctor”). Look it up, but you won’t find all the original episodes because some have been lost to time (lol).

I finished From Fake Dreams and started rereading a fic called ‘Ginny Returns’ by kb0. It’s a Harry Potter story about a future Ginny who only has a paralyzed Hermione left, who goes back in time to save her husband (Harry), family, friends, and the wizarding world. Kbo is a good writer and although not all of their fics are Harry/Ginny (a few are though), I still like most of them. I did read some new fanfictions today though! The first one is called “Persephone” by sunflowerb. It’s a How to Train Your Dragon Fic. (if you don’t know what it is, look it up. There are two movies currently and a third one coming out soonish). In this one, Hiccup is thought dead by Toothless after Astrid follows him. Then a Dragon Rider shows up and can ‘control’ the raiding dragons (he’s really trying to stop destruction). They give Astrid (now 20) up to him as a bride to make him stop the raids. It’s not a happy fic and deals with abandonment and alcoholism, but it’s a good story all the same. And it’s finished, there might be a sequel later. The second story I read is called ‘Origin Story’ by Worldmaker. It’s a crossover with Buffy the Vampire Slayer/DC/Marvel. It has a copy of Xander in Power Girl’s body being made in the Marvel verse (Where things are very wrong) after the Halloween body switching spell. He has to get used to being in a female body with super powers, while on the run for next to nothing by the Marvel heroes & Villains. For those who don’t know Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it’s about a girl named Buffy who becomes the Slayer (the one who slays demons and vampires) and her friends as they battle vampires and demons while trying to live their lives. I would suggest it, even if it’s a bit old.

Other than that, I’ve started to try The Alchemist Code phone app, but am holding judgment and read the new chapter of Mauling Snarks. I walked again for eggs and km in PoGo and got halfway for the 10km and got a FarFetch’d (which I already had from the event last year. I need a Kangaskhan and a Mr. Mime).

A Weekend for a Few Readers

So it looks like there were a few people who visited this past weekend. Thanks to those who did! Lets see if we can’t get more people to come. On to the weekend!

Friday

There were four new chapters that came out today. One for Stark Imprint, which reveals that it ‘happens’ after whatever the conclusion of the Avengers 4 movie. The second one was for Parva Sub Ingenti and has the group going back through the Gate to Earth. The third one was of course Mauling Snarks (as usual). The last one was for a story a previously mentioned author, ack1308, called ‘It Gets Worse.’ Like most of his stories, it is based on Worm. Instead of Taylor triggering with Insect Control, she gets an unconscious power that brings bad luck to those who wish her harm or discomfort. For most of the rest of the day I read Reaching for a Dream from yesterday and it’s three sequels. Reaching for a Dream is a straight Naruto fic, but at the end of it (30 chapters) they story leaves that universe. The second story is in the Justice League universe. Naruto and his wife (the Kyuubi) decide to try ‘Trolling the League.’ No, really that’s the name of the fic. It’s only 8 chapters, but it’s amusing. The third in the series is called ‘Sekirei? Is that some new species of little sister?’ The two go to the Sekirei universe (as is stated in the title) so Naruto can find some little sisters (it’s a common theme, he had some in the first story as well). He ends up derailing the Sekirei plan and of course finding some little sisters. This one is 17 chapters and is amusing. The last (currently) in this series is called ‘The(questionable) burdens of leadership of a troll Emperor.’ It takes place in the Stargate universe and starts long long before the original movie. Naruto and his wife decide to make an empire for his new little sisters, starting on a distant planet and planning to take over the galaxy(ies). I didn’t finish this today, but hope to tomorrow. To be honest, I haven’t really watched any Stargate before today. So, I watched the original movie to get a feel for it. I liked it, but I could have done without a family member ruining the ending on the way to dinner.

Oh, before I end today, I remembered that with all the Quartermass fics, I forgot to write about the Seerking story that updated on Wednesday. It’s called ‘Campione of the Raging Tides’ and is (obviously) set in the Campione universe. It has the eighth Campione being born, an OC (Original Character) named Jean Campbell. It shows her (re)birth and actions after becoming a Campione. It’s really good, but it’s a yuri(girl with girl) fic. Like I continue to say, Don’t Like, Don’t Read. Not really much to say today. I finished The(questionable) burdens of leadership of a troll Emperor and read more of Becoming a Man among Men. The new story I read is called ‘Deku: The Golden Saiyan Hero of Hope. This is a My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball series crossover (though the author doesn’t label it that way). It has Deku finding his quirk? (This is unknown, it might be he just awakened his heritage as a Sayian. It’s unclear.) while also getting One for All. Since I mentioned the Dragon Ball series, I might as well go a little bit in depth on it for those who don’t know. The Dragon Ball series’ main character is Goku Son (or Son Goku in Japanese naming with the last name first). Goku is a Saiyan. Saiyans are a species of human like aliens who look human with a tail that can transform into an uncontrollable giant ape during the full moon. They were a mercenary group that took over planets and sold them. Goku was sent to Earth as a baby to destroy it, but an accident erases this instinct.

When he is 11 or 12, a girl named Bulma comes to his mountain home looking for a Dragon Ball. They are a set of seven golden balls with 1-7 stars on them that grant a wish to the one who gathers them. This sets them on journey that leads to many friends and enemies. His journey until he turns 18 (and gets married) happens in Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Z continues his story and his son Gohan’s as well. There are many movies, specials and games along with newer series Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Heroes. If you want to watch everything, it will take a long time.

Other than that, today was the day that Moltres was available for three hours in raids (PoGo). I went out and got the shiny version (YAY), but right after that the game went buggy and after waiting a while I get went home. I got what I wanted; I don’t need more than one. On to tomorrow!

Sunday

Today had some more new chapters for stories, though they’re all Quartermass ones. The fics were Warlock, Parva Sub Ingenti and Plenipotent Player Prince. I also read a new fic from him called ‘Revenant.’ It’s a Harry Potter and X-Men crossover. After things go wrong and most of his friends die at his & Ginny’s wedding (He does, but Master of Death), Harry takes revenge as is put through the veil, ending up in the Xavier home a few years before the First Class movie. I started, but didn’t read much of, ‘One Punch Man: A tad different’ by CrimsonSZ. One Punch Man is about a man called Saitama who trained to be a hero for fun to fight against monsters. However, he is so powerful, one punch is all it takes to kill his enemies. In this fic instead of being ignored by the Hero’s Association, he meets the number 2 hero, Tatsumaki, during the first episode. I also read the fic, ‘Reincarnation Roulette’ by Nemesis13. It’s a Code Geass fic with Lelouch having been reincarnated millions of times. This one has him as female and is during the Japanese invasion. Things are very different. It only has 6 chapters, but I’m looking forward to more. The last story for today is ‘Remnant’s Maelstrom Shinobi’ by MothBallz. It’s a Naruto and RWBY crossover with Naruto being sent a long time into the future to save him. The future is the RWBY universe. Watch as Naruto adapts and learns what happened to the shinobi world. (doesn’t have very many Naruto characters, mostly referenced). I started off reading some more of The Remnant Knight and One Punch Man: A tad different, but haven’t finished rereading them yet. There were some more new chapters: Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Buggin Me, Mauling Snarks, Parva Sub Ingenti and Plenipotent Player Prince.

Then I read a new fic (for me) called ‘The Healing Touch’ by xpegasus. It is a My Hero Academia fic that has Deku finding that he does have a quirk that allows him to heal himself and others when he meets All Might. It’s interesting. I started reading another My Hero Academia fic named ‘Headstart’ by Kamil the Awesome. It has All Might finding Deku 4 years earlier and allowing him to get One for All earlier and train with it. I started rereading a fic called ‘Viridescent’ by darkfire1220 that is also a My Hero Academia fic. It has Deku having a quirk, but not using it because he is afraid of other’s reactions to it. This is because it is the same as his (OC) villain father’s. It has him getting One for All, but also attracting All for One’s attention. I read a lot of My Hero Academia fics today, right? The last one is called ‘Prime Directive: Hero’ by awkardnaut626. It has Deku finding out he does have a quirk at 4, that allow him to analyze anything, including quirks, and use it (including other’s quirk powers). See how this changes things. The last fanfiction I read today was ‘Time and Sand’ by Scififan33. It is a Star Wars story (yeah, I’m not going to explain this one. Look it up if you don’t know.). Luke ends up in the past before Episode I on Tatooine. He ended up there after an AU (Alternate Universe) of The Last Jedi where Luke goes with Rey to Ben. A Diverse Weekend

Friday –

Today was an interesting day as I went through many fanfiction to find one that would keep my attention. I’ve had this problem before, either I have to find something else to do or I find a fanfiction that can keep my attention. This one lead me through several including several whose original stories I haven’t mentioned here yet. I finished reading Heroes Assemble! and then moved onto ‘Skittering Campione’ by Greatazuredragon. It’s a crossover between Worm (Skitter is Taylor’s first cape name) and a series called Campione!. It was a light novel then became an anime that only has one season so far. The main character (Godo Kusanagi) is a normal high school student until on trip he finds himself in a fight between two gods who have become ‘Heretic’ (meaning they rebel against being wherever they normally are and cause destruction to the world). Through a set of unlikely circumstances (Or the most obvious circumstances if you look at how often that happens in stories), Godo defeats one of the Gods with the help of a ‘witch’ and becomes a Campione or God Slayer. This means he gets power from the God(s) he defeats. Look it up, it’s good.

Anywho, in the fanfiction at the end of Worm, Taylor is transported to Campione! universe and is transformed in a campione because of her defeat of the big bad of her universe. Watch as her actions change the Campione! universe for the good, funny and weird. I went through a few one shots after that and only one was interesting, but it was an omake of a conversation in another fanfiction that would only take longer to go through, so I’ll talk about the omake when I read that fanfiction. The next one I actually read was ‘A Growing Affection’ by Xavon Wrentaile. It is a Naruto fanfiction. Like Harry Potter is the top of the Book section of FF.net in number of stories, so is Naruto the top of the Anime section. I’m actually surprised it too me this long to get to a Naruto story. For those of you who don’t know, Naruto is about a young boy who wants to became a ninja and the leader of his village, the Hokage. The only thing wrong with that is that most of the village hates him because he has a great monster (The Kyuubi) sealed in his gut through no fault of his own. Watch or read as this boy goes through hard work, teachers who barely teach him anything, getting hit by teammates, betrayal, hate, anger and many other things to save the world and gain the love and affection of the village that hated him (Yeah like KHR, I have some issues with the way the main character is treated. I mean his godfather doesn’t even come in until after the first few arcs and it’s never even mentioned that he’s his godfather until later when we find out who his parents were in the sequel story set three years after the original story ends.) There’s also now a story about the new generation out too, Boruto.

Moving on the fanfiction is set in the sequel story Naruto Shippuuden and follows an alternate storyline and focuses on Naruto getting together with Hinata (my favorite pairing that’s also canon) and dealing with the issues around him. I started another new story with a new original story, but since this one is already fairly long, I’ll talk about it tomorrow. Which you’ll be able to see right away ^_^

Saturday

So I’ll start off the story I mentioned in yesterday’s part, ‘Soul Chess’ by draconichero21. This a one of favorites and it is a crossover between Code Geass and Bleach. Bleach, for those who don’t know, is like Naruto as being one of most popular mangas/animes of the past generation (as the original generation of Naruto is finished anyway). It’s about Ichigo Kurosaki a high school student who can see ghosts. He has a run in with a Hollow (Monster spirits who want to eat you) and a Shinigami (‘Good’ spirits who have the power to purify Hollows and send ghosts to the afterlife) named Rukia Kuchiki. He ends up becoming a Shinigami and gets involved in (Wouldn’t you know it) a plot to save the world (because the afterlife is crap and nobles who don’t care about people run it). Other than my personal issues with the governing system of the afterlife (Soul Society), this is a good story. Though it gets convoluted in the last arc.

In the fanfiction, Lelouch from Geass ends up in the Soul Society long before even the flashbacks in Bleach. Watch as his actions change things, for better or worse. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’ve at least watched Code Geass and possibly a bit of Bleach too. It’s 208 chapters and a teaser for a remake fic with more crossover characters in it to be at sometime in the future. I also reread the fanfiction ‘Pick up the Pieces and Move On’ by the first author I mentioned, Umei no Mai. It’s a sequel to the fic ‘Pick up the Pieces and Take Stock’ and they both deal with the after story of KHR through the lens of Xanxus in dealing with a ‘father’ who can’t see how he wronged Xanxus, a to-be leader who doesn’t know anything and doesn’t want the job and all the mental and physical issues he’s got because of his upbringing and the KHR story. They’re both good stories that are 8 chapters each with a third and final story in the works that Umei no Mai will finish before continuing Black Sky. I read more than 20 chapters of Growing Affection and a new chapter for the story, ‘Stark Imprint’ by Arthur Hansen which is a crossover story between Worm and Ironman. One of Tony Stark’s suits ends up in the Worm universe and when Taylor finds it (a few years before Worm’s start), it downloads a copy of his brain into hers. She gets his memories and talents while remaining herself and becomes a non-powered cape in the Worm-verse. Sunday

Today I went to a small birthday dinner for a church friend and learned that her granddchild has written fanfiction and is on FF.net. I haven’t read either of their stories, but their user name is DesertAnubis. There is a Dragon Ball Z fic (that’s been abandoned after 35 chapters) and a new Yu-Gi-Oh! fic that has been finished IRL, but is slowly being posted. I read some more Soul Chess and Growing Affection, but other than that I just have a story I started rereading and a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned yet. The story is called ‘Broken Dreams’ by ThunderReborn and is a Bleach story where after the Winter War, things are different and Ichigo gains his enemy’s sword and most powerful tool. He is trained by them and his own sword while everyone thinks he’s powerless and ignores him. When he graduates high school he walks away and has several crossovers (starting with High School DxD). The new chapter is from the fanfiction ‘ Mending the Knots’ by azndrgn (the author who I’m editing for on another story). It’s a RWBY story where Jaune doesn’t get into Beacon and starts a massage business. It’s fun and still has your favorite characters in it. The main reason I didn’t read much else is that I got the app Fate/Grand Order (from the same universe as Fate/Stay Night [though without the rated R stuff]). I got caught up in it, KHUx and PoGo (I finally moved on to the fourth set of the Celebi quests). See you tomorrow when I actually post all this.

Monday

So as usual for today, I read the new chapter of Mauling Snarks. I also spent time on Fate/Grand Order and KHUx again. I also reread two stories by SeerKing that are finished or not currently being worked on. They are ‘RWBY – Poison Promise’ and ‘RWBY – Flame of Atonement’. In the first one, Ruby is posioned and it deals with finding who did it and curing her. The second one deals with the aftermath. Poison Promise done at 10 chapter and Flame of Atonement is on hiatus at 4 chapters. I read sakurademonalchemist’s newest story (Again not finishing any of their older ones) ‘Elemental Sky’ in which a female Tsuna learn that she is cousins with the Sand Siblings from Naruto (Temari, Kankaro, and Gaara) and goes to visit them (at a time before the chunin exams). I also started rereading the story ‘Becoming a Man Among Men’ by Dragon6. It is based on the Ranma 1/2 story which is about Ranma, a high school aged martial artist who accidentally falls into a cursed pool that causes him to become an aquatransexual (which means he turns into a girl when hit by cold water and back to a boy when hit by hot water). He is then forced to agree to marry one of three daughters of his (abusive, thieving, lying, habitually agreeing to marriage contracts for his son for silly things) father’s friend. Ranma has to deal with multiple fiancees, men who are after said fiancees and people who blame him for what his father did (I swear, I have not seen a story with so many character with daddy issues and some mommy issues). Becoming a Man Among Men has Ranma reading his father’s journal after becoming an aquatransexual and learns of all of his father’s misdeeds and his planning to marry him to his friend’s daughter. Seventh Day

Wow, with today’s post I will have posted every day for a week. Wednesday is also one of my favorite days because one of my favorite fanfiction authors posts today. His user name is Seerking and he has many stories from many stories. He has a 12 week schedule where he posts to one story in the list in order every week today. There are stories that are on pause for now, but 12 stories is a lot to concentrate on anyway.

The one he posted to today was ‘Zero no Tsukaima: Saito the Onmyoji.’ The story its based off of is called “Zero no Tsukaima” or “Familiar of Zero” and is the story of a young man from earth (Saito), summoned to another world by a mage who usually can only cause explosions (Louise the Zero). The young man can’t do much, but his skills are slowly revealed and his helps his master defend her home. In the fanfiction though, Saito has been trained to be an Onmyoji (talisman user) before he is summoned and uses his skills to help Louise and try to break the familiar bond and return home.

Moving on, I finished rereading Recoil and went through my drives to find the reading fanfiction I had started for it and started editing it again. After I started the second actual reading chapter, I realized I need more characters. So, I went through and made physical copies of the notes of things to change on a printed copy of the story, but never made the changes. Therefore, currently I am making those changes and once I get to chapter ten of the reading I’ll start posting it once or twice a week. This is so I have some backlog in case I can’t write a chapter for some reason, so look forward to it because I will definitely tell y’all when I post it!

I reread a fanfiction called ‘Play Fake, Kwami’ by Raydara12. This is a “The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir” fanfiction. For those who don’t know about the show it is a French animated show about two middle school kids (Marinette and Adrian) getting jewelry and small talking animal that allow them to become Ladybug and Chat Noir (it’s pronounced ‘Cat Noir’ if you didn’t know) to defeat the villain Hawk Moth’s victims while dealing with middle school life and crushes (Marinette has one for Adrian and Chat Noir has one for Ladybug). Oh and did I forget to mention that they don’t know each other’s secret identities. It’s definitely marketed more of young girls, but it’s a good show anyway.

In the fanfiction (which is only 7 actual chapters even though it says 10) Marinette’s talking animals Tikki (which are called Kwami) is accidentally revealed and pretends to be a toy. Adrian reveals his Kwami (Plagg) to help her and they realize who the other is. After getting together, they decide to prank Hawk Moth … read to find out how! I also rewatched the first episode of a silly anime called “Servant x Service.” It’s about some newcomers to the Japanese Civil Service office and their coworkers. The main character, who I’ll just call Yamagami for now, joins in order to find the person who allowed her parents to name her. I also read a chapter in Ashes of the past and an omake for Taylor Varga that involved Doctor Who. I also finally got to the 3rd set of the Celebi quests on PoGo this morning, but now I have to hatch 9 eggs. It will be a little bit before I get that as I have mostly 5, 7, and 10 km eggs currently. Fourth Day

Hello, everyone! As has been established by the last few titles, I am not a great namer. I’ll try to have better titles, but I feel for the first week I’m going to follow this trend. It just wouldn’t feel right. Or you know it just might be my having watched Skyward Wing playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days recently and the summer quest in Kingdom Hearts Union x also saying what day you’re playing in, who knows?

Anywho, I jumped around a lot today in what I read. I did read a few chapters of Ashes of the Past and got up to start of chapter 33, when Ash gets a rematch against Richie in the Indigo League (not that Richie knows it’s a rematch, but whatever). I interrupted that with rereading a Worm fanfic called ‘I, Panacea’ by ack1308 on fanfiction.net. I think he has a different user name on AO3, but I don’t remember what it is at this moment. I just checked to make sure, but all of his fics include the Worm story and he is one of my favorite Worm fic writers. This one is a sequel to a physical self-insert story called ‘Security’ and has the author’s character from that story mentally inserted into a Worm character’s head alongside her, namely Panacea. She is one of the main characters that is in bad situation that gets worse and eventually breaks her. Some people love her, some people hate her, but she is a popular character to get help in fanfics. Definitely recommend these two fics (though I, Panacea is not finished), their ‘sequel’ ‘I, Scion’ (which is a 3 chapter silly fic) and all of his fics.

Next, reread a few chapters from the fic ‘From Fake Dreams’ by Third Fang including the latest chapter. From Fake Dream is set in the Fate/Stay Night storyline of the TYPE-MOON universe. Fate/Stay Night is a Japanese visual novel/Eroge (which means it might include sex and sexual themes) that has anime adaptations of it.

I’m going to pause here. Just to be clear, in this blog I am not going to talk about porn or sex. I am however going to be talking about stories that have that in them. So that anyone who is underage or doesn’t want read about such things is happy, I will post R rated content, before and after the topic, like this.

Anyway, while there are sex and sexual themes in the visual novel, it’s not a main staple in either it or From Fake Dreams.

Fate/Stay Night has three main storylines you can follow to get one of three girls: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven’s Feel. There are variations of these storylines, but they don’t really matter to this discussion. I mention this because in From Fake Dreams, long before the main story, the father of the main character (Shiro Emiya) Kiritsugu Emiya has dreams of those storylines and the storyline one of the main characters Archer. Based on this information (which he does verify as much as he can), he sets things up so that his son can survive and defeat all the world-ending threats (and fulfill some personal wishes too). Things don’t exactly work out like Kiritsugu hopes, but when does it ever. Still a great story that has 52 great chapters with more incoming. He also has several other great stories that I will talk about later (including one tomorrow because there’s already going to be a lot on here for today).

Moving on finally to something other than fanfiction and anime, I watched the movie Alpha in theaters today. I really liked it, but those who don’t like subtitles shouldn’t see it because all dialogue in the movie is subtitles. I don’t actually know the name of the language they were using, but it’s set 20,000 years ago so who knows. Well, I could (and probably will) look up the language. See I even did it in the middle of that sentence (it’s fictional). Moving on, I thought it was a great movie with stunning visuals and sounds that really capture the wilderness of long ago. For those who don’t know about the movie, it’s about a the chief’s son trying to get home after an accident and befriending a wolf along the way. Thus the wolf/dog became man’s best friend. The film does a good job of showing the story rather than speaking it. I would definitely recommend it.
