There’s more sakurademonalchemist this weekend (and some movies)

Today I started rereading the Pick Up the Piece series and got part way through the second one Move On. There were new chapters for – Tsunami, Viridescent, A Smile on Your Face and a Song in Your Heart, Mauling Snarks, Taylor Varga and Stand Together and Smile. I read more new sakurademonalchemist stories also.

The first one is called ‘Moon Sword’ and it is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Fate/Stay Night. It has Usagi and Shirou switching places in the fire (meaning Usagi was there for the fire and had her memories wiped, then Usagi ended up with Kiritsugu and Shirou was adopted into Usagi’s family, who thought she was dead). It also had the Moon and ‘Atlantis’ (where Endymion lived) around the time of Babylon, where Gilgamesh was also interested in Serenity (who only went after Endymion because her mother kept pushing her at him). When she summons him away from the church, he recognizes her and decides to help her and stay around. Things change drastically. The second one was ‘Angel Fire’, which is a crossover between the Guild Hunter series and Harry Potter. The Guild Hunter series’ first book is “Angel’s Blood” and it was the other thing I read today. Angel’s Blood is about Elena Deveraux, who is a vampire hunter. It’s not like normal though, vampires are Made (yes, it’s also captiallized in the book) by Angels from people who want to live longer (most of the time). They have to serve the Angel who turns them for a long time before they’re free. When a vampire runs away from that service or starts hunting humans, people like Elena are sent to capture or kill them. Elena is one of the best, that’s why the local Archangel, Raphael, chooses her for a very special assignment, hunting down another Archangel who’s turning to bloodlust. She has to do this, while fighting off her attraction to Raphael.

It’s an interesting series and I only found it because I wanted to read Angel Fire. There’s romance, but no sex scenes. I would recommend it.

Angel Fire is about a female Harry who discovers she’s Angel born when Umbridge pushes her off a tower and her wings reveal themselves. She runs away and ends up in Raphael’s territory. Today I read more Pick Up the Piece series and got part way thought the third and last, Rebuild. The new chapters for today were Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! I once again read some new sakurademonalchemist stories.

The first was ‘Daughter of Flame’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist and Harry Potter crossover. It has female Harry being the daughter of Roy Mustang instead and her going through the Gate to meet him after her fourth year. There she eventually meets the Elric brothers and journeys with them. They follow her to Hogwarts to learn about magic. Oh, did I mention that the Wizarding World thinks she’s a boy? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11569177/1/Daughter-of-Flame.

The second one was ‘Summoner’s Sword’ and it is a Fate/Stay Night and Chrono Crusade crossover. Chrono Crusade (which I haven’t read in a long time) is about Rosette Christopher and her soul-bound demon Chrono, who are members of the Order of Magdalene. They hunt other demons across America while searching for Rosette’s brother, who was taken by another demon. It’s an interesting story and the anime and manga have different endings (I don’t know which one is better because I don’t think I’ve watched the anime).

Summoner’s Sword’s only real crossover with Chrono Crusade is that Shirou is from the Harvenheit clan (Satella Harvenheit is a jewel summoner in Chrono Crusade). His abilities as a Harvenheit can only be revived when Shirou is hypnotized and his other personality changes. Säbel is this other personality’s name. Shirou can still use his normal abilities as himself, but he can now change personalities to change his abilities. This changes many things and Säbel makes things better. Finally, there was ‘Identity Crisis,’ a crossover between Doctor Who and Harry Potter. It has the Metacrisis Doctor (the one from the end of season 4 of the reboot, the duplicate of The Doctor who’s part human), being left by Rose because he isn’t The Doctor. He then finds a way to a parallel universe and uses a ritual to reincarnate himself so he can find a way to activate his Time Lord abilities. He ends up as Harry Potter. I also watched the new Robin Hood movie today. It was okay. I’m not really recommending it, but it’s not a horrible movie. They tried to humanize the Sheriff, but it kinda fell flat because he’s working for the people that abused him. I would have liked to maybe have them try to semi-save him (meaning he acted for the good guys in the end). I also felt that one character’s plot twist was a bit too much. I mean there’s spite and then there’s WTF. All in all, probably better off as a one-time Red Box rental.

I finished up the Pick Up the Pieces rereading and I finally made those lists I was talking about so I don’t reintroduce a fanfiction, story, show or movie! The new chapters were from – The Unseen Hunt and Tsunami. There are more new sakurademonalchemist (now SDA to not have to type that name every time) stories as well (I’m working through them backwards).

The first one is ‘Adamantium’ and it is an X-Men and Harry Potter crossover. It has Magneto waking up on the train to Hogwarts as an eleven year old with no idea how he got there. The next one is called, ‘Befriending Sword.’ It’s a Lyrical Nanoha and Fate/Stay Night crossover where Yunno meets Shirou instead and makes him a magical boy. The last of SDA’s stories today is ‘Queens of Cosplay.’ It’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Sekirei that has Uzume’s ‘Destined One’ being Hayate. She ‘wings’ her a while before the Book of Darkness is activated. The corruption of the Book is found by accident and removed. There was also a weekend long Community Day this weekend (ending early tomorrow morning) that had all the old shinies more available on PoGo. I got a shiny Chikorita, Squirtle, Beldum and 2 Charmanders. I also went to a Christmas chorus event!

Today I read a few more chapters of Ashes of the Past. The new chapters for today are Mauling Snarks, The Gamer (webcomic) and Headstart. There are no new stories from SDA today, yay! I also activated another Meltan box.

I reread ‘Campione of the Holy Grail’ by fg7dragon. It’s a crossover between Heaven’s Feel (Type Moon Universe, same time frame but different route from Fate/Stay Night) and Campione! Illya ends up the last one alive to face Angra Mayu and ends up becoming a Campione for killing him. She becomes the 7^th Campione and does what she wants (basically explore the world). I read a new story called ‘Reality Bites Worm’ by Selector. It’s a pure Worm fic that has Taylor triggering at a different time. She gathers an all female team together and with some help becomes a force for good. I find it interesting and it has 27 chapters, with more to come as it was updated on the 27^th of last month. Finally, I also watched “Christopher Robin.” I enjoyed it and it’s message, that living to work isn’t really living at all. I remember watching Winnie the Pooh when I was younger and thought the live action versions were nice. I like the symbolism that he’s the Heffalump taking all the happiness away. I would very much recommend it!

An Irregular and Meltan Weekend (with some other things mixed in)

Today I finished The Irregular at Magic High School book 18 and read book 19 and read some more of Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Mauling Snarks, Ashes to Flame and History’s Strongest Disciple Again? (the one I beta read). I also read some more sakurademonalchemist.

The first new one (again for me, not overall) was ‘Swords of a Devil.’ It’s a Type Moon Universe and High School DxD crossover where Shirou is a devil and is kidnapped by the Church after he is adopted. The other new one was ‘Queen of the Grimm.’ It’s a Once Upon a Time and Grimm crossover. Grimm is a TV Series about Nick Burkhardt who is a Grimm. A Grimm can see the true form of Wesen, which are part human and part animal. He defends his city from evil Wesen and helps those in trouble.

The story has Regina leaving Emma in charge of the town in order to get away from the Charmings and her mother. She ends up in Portland, OR and meets Nick. She is also a Grimm and helps him and others out. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11555943/1/Queen-of-the-Grimm.

I also watched the first few episodes of “Storage Wars: Northern Treasures.” It was okay, but the original is so much better. There’s way too much animosity and bad mouthing in this one. In the original, while they were competing, it was more of a friendly rivalry most of the time. In this one, they just seem to hate each other. I wouldn’t really recommend it, personally.

Today, I read more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Relic of the Future, Harry Potter and the Stargate and Heroes Assemble! and Black Sky (Yay, it’s back. Though it’s only sporadically for now). Other than that I watched some more episodes of The Irregular at Magic High School. It was kinda a slow day.

I’ll talk about the Artemis Fowl series. It’s an 8 book series about Artemis Fowl, a genius middle school student who wants to make back the money his family had lost. He decides to do this by stealing from the fairies, who he had found out were real. He kidnaps a LEPRecon (Lower Elements Police, Recon division, because they live underground) Captain, Holly Short. The first book has him against LEPRecon, but they’re on sort of the same side after that. I like the series a lot and am looking forward to the movie I heard about next year.

Today was more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat and episode of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for The Unseen Hunt and two short omakes for Taylor Varga. Other than that I worked on the Let’s Go, Meltan PoGo tasks and finally got to the fifth set with needing to do 10 raids tomorrow to complete it and a few chapters of Mists of a Dawning Sky.

Since I, once again, have very little, I’ll talk about the Outlander series. Outlander is a book series about Claire Randall who is having a second honeymoon with her husband Frank (after WWI) in Scotland. She goes through a stone circle and ends up in 1743 and gets caught up in the Scots revolt of the time. She meets Jamie Fraser and has to make a decision: try and get back to her time or live her life here. There are eight books out now with at least one more on the way. I like this book series and the TV series follows it well (overly so in some cases).

There is sex in the series, but the main warning I’ll give is that there is a graphic scene in both the book and TV series where there is a male raping another male. Just to give fair warning.

Today, I finished rereading Mists of the Dawning Sky, finished watching the first (and currently only) season of The Irregular at Magic High School and completed the Let’s Go, Meltan quests (even though I already had more than a few Meltans from sending Pokémon to Let’s Go). There were new chapters for Reincarnation Roulette, Mauling Snarks and Seerking’s Asylum. I read some more sakurademonalchemist again.

I reread their story, ‘Flames of the Black Cat,’ which is a Black Cat and KHR crossover. Black Cat is about a Sweeper (bounty hunter) named Train Heartnet who is a former member of an assassination organization called Chronos. He and his companions have to fight against Chronos and later his former best friend’s (who killed his girlfriend for changing him from an assassin) organization. I like both the anime and manga and definitely recommend it.

The story has Train reincarnating as female Tsuna, who has a male twin. Realizing he/she’ll be in a bad situation later, Train leaves and becomes a hit woman (though she hides her gender). The other story I reread was ‘Fated Bonds,’ which is a Fate/Stay Night and Naruto crossover. It has Archer Emiya summoned along with the Shinigami. He leads a life as a blacksmith in Konoha until he finds his ‘summoner’ a young Naruto. He takes Naruto in and helps change Sasuke’s fate. Finally, I read ‘The Witch of 221b Baker Street,’ which is a Sherlock and Harry Potter crossover. It has Female Harry becoming disillusioned by the magical world after 4^th year and getting away rather than being used. She becomes Joanne Watson and ends up as Sherlock’s roommate. There was also a new chapter for a story by ack1308 called ‘Another Way.’ It’s a Worm story where Amy (or Amelia in this case) is never taken from her father (because he isn’t captured). Sherlock is a 3 episode per season, British TV series that has Sherlock in modern London. It’s okay, but has a habit of leaving the audience at a cliffhanger for a while (There was some time between season 1 and 2 if I remember correctly).

There was also a new chapter of a story by Kenichi618 called ‘Shinobi of the High Seas.’ It’s a Naruto and One Piece crossover where Naruto is immortal and after some time looking after the Elemental Nations, (he leaves Konoha to be a protector of the EN when he finds out he’s immortal. He never had a family with Hinata) he decides to see the rest of the world. He eventually meets Luffy early on his (Luffy’s) journey and hangs out with him for a while. He gets his own ship and crew. I’m writing this before I head out to a showing of the new Pokémon movie – “The Power of Us” and will write a little about it when I get back before I post this. Which will be here –

I really liked it, the movie did a good job of mixing Pokémon and real world problems everyone has. One of the main ones, and relevant to most people, is that lies only cause problems, not solve them. Lies cause a lot of the problems in the movie that could have easily been avoided otherwise. I would definitely recommend The Power of Us. It’s showing in select theaters on the 28^th and the 2^nd. There still might be tickets left if you want to see it (there were less than 10 people including me in the theater tonight). Hope you like it too!

I’m Heading Out to Get Let’s Go!

Today, I read so more of I Am Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me, but didn’t finish either one of them and read books fifteen through the start of eighteen for The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for; Service with a Smile, Another Fine Mess, and Reading Chronicles Book 1: To the Victor, The Spoils. I got Shedinja on PoGo from the Research Breakthrough this morning, but now I wish that I had waited until this afternoon because of the stupid new Sinnoh Stone. It can only be gotten from the Research Breakthrough, but it didn’t become active until this afternoon (stupid, should happen at night, but I guess it is night somewhere then).

Anyway, I read some more new sakurademonalchemist fics (new as in I haven’t read them, they have like, let me check, 246 stories). The first one was ‘Spirit of the Jewel’ and it’s a InuYasha and Natsume Yūjin-Chō (which will now be Natsume because it’s stupid to get those vowels with symbols every time. It translates out to Natsume’s Book of Friends) crossover. Not sure it I’ve ever said what Natsume is before (really need to make that list I mentioned soon), but it’s about a boy named Takashi Natsume who can see spirits. He has since he was young (He’s a teenager now) and his family switches him between themselves and thinks he’s a liar and troublemaker because of his ability. He inherits a notebook from his grandmother that she bound spirits to control them. He tries to find them and give them back their names (which are in the book).

Spirit of the Jewel has Takashi and Nyanko (a spirit who hangs out with him who wants the book, eventually) going to the Higurashi Shrine to live before the start of InuYasha. He, Nyanko and a fox spirit end up going to the past with Kagome and getting involved with her adventures. It only has four chapters (so far, but hasn’t been updated since Sept. 2016). The second is called ‘Arrow of Truth’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) and Fate/stay Night crossover. Shirou ends up declining Alaya and not becoming a Counter Guardian. He then meets Truth (from FMA) who says he is a fragment of Edwards from when he went through the Gate of Truth (Think the author was referring to original anime series). The last one (from this author) is ‘Beware of Sith Trolls.’ It’s a three-part story (with only two parts out since Aug. 2016) that’s a Harry Potter and Star Wars crossover (with mentions and meeting Black Wing from Fate’s Gamble by Lupine Horror). It has Vader saving a young Harry Potter (who deaged himself and his a troll) and having him become his apprentice. I discovered that Fruits Basket is finally getting a remade anime with the whole story (YAY!). While doing that I learned of a short (unfinished) sequel about another young girl and the children of the Fruits Basket characters called “Fruits Basket Another.” I read the manga and enjoyed it, really looking forward to the finish and the new anime!

I reread a fic by kb0 called ‘A Friend Indeed.’ It’s a six-chapter story about what would have happened if Ginny would have tried harder to be Harry’s friend after his name comes out the Goblet of Fire. I also got a new chapter for a story called ‘The Lady of the Flies’ by InsanityIncarnate90. Wednesday

I finished both My Name is Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me today. I also got caught up on The Gamer (my app didn’t get the new chapters until today <_>). There were also new chapters for Burning Ice, Harry Potter and the Stargate, Flames of the Night Sky, It’s in the Cards, Heroes Assemble! and an omake for Mauling Snarks. A Ultra Friend on PoGo gave me an Ex Raid invite today and I was finally able to catch Deoxys (yay!). I also got some Lucky Pokémon from trades today!

I started rereading a story by an author I haven’t mentioned yet, Phantom1s. It’s called ‘Harry Potter: Archangel’ and it has Harry’s accidental magic transporting him to the Flamels at a young age (to escape from the Dursleys). He grows up with them and ends up meeting Tony Stark and creating a magic Ironman suit called Archangel. He saves a going into fifth year Ginny (remember he’s not been at Hogwarts, to study at least) and things happen from there. There was a new chapter for the fic, ‘Organization 13 and a Half’ by Glennt123. It a Kingdom Hearts story that starts before 365/2 Days. It has a sentient Dusk that is the main character who becomes a part of Organization 13. Hasn’t reached 365/2 Days yet, but it is still semi-frequently updating. Lasty, I started rereading another of kb0’s stories, ‘Harry Potter: The Avenger.’ It has Harry not wanting to stay in his world any longer and goes through the Veil (with a trunk full of things) to try and find Sirius. He ends up in New York right before it’s attacked by aliens in the first Avengers movie. He joins the defense and becomes an Avenger. I finished Harry Potter: The Avenger and read more Broken Dreams (by ThunderReborn if you’ve forgotten). The only new chapter was from Another Fine Mess. That and playing PoGo, Fate/GO and KHUx are really the only things I did today. Wow, that’s kinda sad …

Anyway, I’m writing this before I head over and get my new Let’s Go games, but I have enough time to talk about another series. This time I’ll talk about “Skip Beat” by Yoshiki Nakamura. The main character, Kyoko Mogami, went to Tokyo with her love Sho to help him while he became an Idol. But when he became famous he got rid of her and she vowed horrible revenge. She decided to get revenge on him by becoming a bigger star than him. The only problem, she left behind love and can’t muster any up to catch people’s eyes.

When she proves to have talent, the director of a company decides to make a “Love-Me” section to help her (and others eventually) find what they’re missing. Watch her work through her trials to get one over on Sho (and who’s this Ren Tsuruga?). I really enjoy this series and need to catch up on it, I’m a bit behind.

Today I finished Run With You and read the sixth through eighth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess, double jeu, Ashes to Flame, and Mauling Snarks. Sadly this is all I read today, but I did watch some more Doctor Who TV Movies.

The first was called “The Waters of Mars.” It has the 10^th Doctor ending up with the crew of the first human Mars’ team. He knows from history that something bad happens the day he shows up. Thus he is faced with the choice to leave and let things happen or interfere and change things.

Next was both parts of “End of Time.” It has the Ood (yes, there is a species called the Ood and yes, and odd joke was made in their first episode), telling the Doctor that something that his old friend/enemy The Master was going to be revived. He rushes back and faces The Master and an unexpected enemy. This is also the last time the 10^th Doctor is the main character. The 11^th Doctor is regenerated into at the end of Part 2. The !0^th’s last words are still very sad.

Today, I read the ninth through eleventh novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. The new chapters today were for: Harry Potter and the Stargate, Another Fine Mess, Relic of the Future, Stand Together and Smile, Heroes Assemble!, and Tsunami. I actually read some stories I haven’t mentioned yet, so lets get to it!

First was starting to reread the first in the series ‘Stars Aligned’ called ‘An Unexpected Christmas Miracle’ by batistaangel15. It’s a Doctor Who fic about the 10^th Doctor and Rose going to a Christmas planet before the battle of Canary Wharf. It’s fun and fluffy and the rest of the series happens when Rose isn’t lost to another universe. Haven’t finished cause I’m reading other things. I also read some chapters from the Type Moon side crossover manga “All Around Type Moon – Ahnenerbe no Nichijou.’ I found it by looking for a story where kaleid Illya meets original Illya. It’s a bunch of silly crossovers between Type Moon characters at a café called Ahnenerbe. I read long enough to find the chapter I was looking for (the chapters are linked, but not by very much.

I also got an update for a story named ‘Restart’ by Masseffect-TxS. It’s an RWBY story that has Jaune being one of the last humans and going up against the King of Grimm. When he wins at the cost of his life, he ends up waking up as he is being born. What will he do to make sure what happens in his first lifetime doesn’t happen again? It was just the author saying that they edited the first few chapters based on something just released in a new episode of Season 6 (I’m way behind, need to watch and catch up sometime).

I also watched the first two episodes of Season 5 of Doctor Who. I officially met the 11^th Doctor and his new companion, Amelia (Amy) Pond (and his to-be companion Rory Williams). After meeting Amelia when she was young (after he crashes into her garden), he promises to help her with something when he gets back in 20 mins. However, he comes back twelve years later and she’s not happy to see him. After helping her out he invites her to come with him. I’m looking forward to watching more later!

It was also the Community Day for Pokémon Go and Cyndaquil was the focus today. I only walked for 50 mins because of issues with logging in and that a memorial service for one of my church members was in the middle of it. She was a great woman and will be dearly missed. Today, I read the twelfth and thirteenth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School and some more chapters of An Unexpected Christmas Miracle. There were new chapters for: The Unseen Hunt, SAO: The Eroge and Seerking’s Asylum. I also reread Flames of the Night Sky.

I reread parts of the second story in the ‘Reinforced’ series by Lupine Horror. The first one is called ‘Reinforced Magic’ and it’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Harry Potter. At the end of the second season of Lyrical Nanoha (called A’s) a character named Reinforce is destroyed to stop a threat. However instead of being destroyed, she ends up in front of a young Harry Potter who just had acid poured on half his face. She merges with him to help him and stays with him while teaching him her magic. When they end up at Hogwarts, things really get interesting. I spent most of the afternoon going around my town looking for a Pokéstop that had the task for a new Pokémon this month, nincada. I spent several hours doing it, but couldn’t find one. When I posted this to the GroupMe for the area, I was informed where one was not far from where I had been searching. … Needless to say I got it and caught the Pokémon. Sadly, last night the main GroupMe group for PoGo in my area semi-imploded and now there are more groups based on the factions. As I am neutral (if unhappy at being kicked out of a side group because of one of the instigators getting someone to add them and then they kicked everyone out. Luckly, they couldn’t kick out the owner and he kicked them out and reinstated us), I’m in all groups (except the Valor and Mystic ones, cause I’m Instinct. Not that I really care, honestly, it’s just a game) and hopefully things will get better.

I read only the fourteenth novel of The Irregular at Magic High School today. I also re-watched episodes 8 to 10 of GATE because I wanted to re-watch Rory Mercury’s verbal beat down of the Japanese Senate representative. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess (which lead me to the previous sentence), Mauling Snarks and Tsunami.

I also read/reread some more sakurademonalchemist stories. The first one I started rereading was called ‘Naruto Emiya.’ It’s a crossover between Naruto and the Fate part of the Type Moon universe (or Natsu-verse). It has Zelretch (the immortal troll) finding Naruto almost dead in Konoha (when he was young, like 8) and sends him to Kiritsugu soon after Illya is born. Another one I reread was ‘Sorcellerie Miraculeuse.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Ladybug and Cat Noir crossover. Female Harry leaves Britain after the Triwizard Tournaments with Fleur’s families help. Finally, I read ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ for the first time (Sadly nothing to do with The Greatest American Hero series even though the title is based off the theme song). It’s a Supernatural and Fate/Zero crossover. After season 2, Sam goes to Fuyuki to participate in a tournament to try and save his brother from Hell. However, he only gets a shade of a hero. I got a new chapter for a story called ‘Moving On: Tales of Marinette & Adrien’ by HawkwardDolphin. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir story about Marinette thinking of moving on from Adrien and Chat Noir (what he’s called in the story) telling her to do what makes her happy. Things are a mess because of the ‘Love Square’ (only technically a square, but that’s what fans call it). I also started reading a story called ‘My Name is Harry Potter’ by megamatt09. It’s a crossover between the DC universe and Harry Potter. Harry is an auror who sees something he shouldn’t have and is thrown through the Veil. But he survives and plots how to get revenge with the League of Assassins. So I’m just gonna flat out say it, I can only think of a few of megamatt09’s stories that are not more than liberally filled with sex scenes. In fact, a few of his stories are just a collection of one shots of Harry or Spiderman having sex with different women. I read them for the story, not the sex. However I’m also an adult, so I would hope that any underage people reading this will not follow the link. This one does have sex, but it doesn’t ever become as prominent as his other stories and starts after a few chapters. Fair warning.

Today was also a very sad day for Marvel fans with the passing of The Legend – Stan Lee. He was the creator of some of our favorite Marvel heroes, including Spiderman and the X-Men. His cameos in the MCU will be missed and I look forward to him hopefully being in at least the Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 movies.

It’s Almost Zeraora Time!

Today, I finished Harry and Ginny: A Love Story and watched more of Log Horizon. Well, I got to where it’s currently up to at chapter 33. Like I said yesterday, it hasn’t been updated since 2015, but other story have been posted/updated by the author. The only new chapter today was from Service with a Smile.

With my rewatching of Log Horizon (I looked it up and the light novel finally got a new book out recently after a few years), I decided to look up some of it’s fanfiction. Both of them are about them trying to get home. The first one ‘A Gate Home’ by knaka148 started last year and is only two chapters. In it the two opposing guilds work together to get home. After that, I started rereading an old favorite of mine that had its sequel end relatively recently, ‘Fate’s Gamble’ by Lupine Horror. At its base it’s a Type Moon and Harry Potter crossover, because it has elements from several Type Moon stories. However, because of the Kaleidoscope (and Zelretch insanity) there are a few other stories represented (even if it’s not until later in the story). I really liked this one and enjoyed it and its sequel, ‘Fate’s Gamble: Round Two.’

In the story, Zelretch trying to connect to world’s he’s not on/has died in. He does it wrong and Fate uses the unused power to change several Harry’s destinies. The one the story is about has Harry (age 5) ending up on the Shapeless Isle (the Gorgon’s home. Ya know from Greek Mythology) in Zelretch’s universe. There he meets Stheno and Euryale (Medusa’s sisters, if ya didn’t know) and becomes Zelretch and Waver’s (a least he has one human influence) student. Today was also the release of Gen 4 Pokémon on PoGo! They only released the starters and a few of the beginning Pokémon, but it’s a start. Though I wonder where the rest of Gen 3 is? Who knows, I certainly don’t.

Today was mostly rereading Fate’s Gamble and finishing the first season of Log Horizon. There were a few more new chapters than yesterday including: Harry Potter and the Stargate, several Game On! 3 0 chapters (that finished it off. 4 0 should be next in Yu Yu Hakusho) and Heroes Assemble! and Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Bugging Me (I’m going to call this SAfPBtWSBM … yeah no, how about just Seerking’s Asylum, that works).

Then there was the update for Seerking’s next story on the rotation, ‘Kaien’s Fate, Aizen’s Experiment and Ichigo’s Sister.’ It’s a Bleach story about Kirika, a young soul girl who Aizen and his crew used (along with many others) in an experiment to implant a part of Kaien’s zanpakuto and Metastacia’s energy into another soul. She was the only one to survive and got to the Living World. She’s adopted by the Kurosaki’s and becomes a slightly younger sister to Ichigo before his mother’s attacked. Other than that, I watched the 6^th Detective Conan Movie – The Phantom of Baker Street. It has a VR game that gets taken over by an A.I. who wants the game to be finished to solve a murder. I also learned that Wildbow, the writer of Worm, has started a sequel called “Ward.” As I still haven’t read Worm, I’m not gonna read it yet, but thought those who have read it would like to know.

Today was more Fate’s Gamble. I also started rereading one of kb0’s older stories, ‘Harry Potter: Choices.’ It has Harry deciding that he has choices the summer after Fifth year. He decides to take control of his life, starting with who his magical guardian is. This is a Harry/Ginny Soul Bond story. It’s finished and I like it a lot. In yesterday’s Seerking’s Asylum (see isn’t that easier), Seerking mentioned that The Aura King adopted one of his Plot Bunnies. The one called ‘Demon Lord of the Swarm’ (it’s chapters 86 -90 of Seerking’s Asylum) and they renamed it – ‘Demon Lord of the End.’ It has Taylor, after the end of Worm, becoming a Demon Lord in charge of a dungeon. She has to make sure she’s not defeated or the world (the new one, not the Worm one) will be destroyed. There are two chapters and it was only started on the 4^th of this month, so I’m looking forward to a fairly regular update schedule (hopefully). I watched the 10^th Detective Conan Movie – The Private Eye’s Requiem. It has Conan and the crew forced to solve a case or they and their friends will be blow up by watches they put on for a theme park. Didn’t do much more than that.

Oh yeah, I figured I would mention that Zeraora (the newest mythical Pokémon) would be available via code for Game Stop (In America at least) starting tomorrow (again only in America, everyone else has been able to get it for most of this month) til sometime next month (presumablely until before the Let’s Go games come out). Reshiram and Zekrom will also be available until the 28^th (of this month) starting tomorrow at Target. This is for the Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games only. Since I have a few extra minutes, Yu Yu Hakusho is about Yusuke Urameshi, a delinquent. He dies sacrifices himself to save a kid from a car, only to learn it was pointless. The kid would have survived and no one (not even the afterlife) expected him to do anything. Now he gets a chance to come back to life, but even if he does; his life will be changed forever.

Sorry again for being late for the last post. I got the normal new chapter for Mauling Snarks along with a new one for Cambion. Other than reading some more Harry Potter and the Daft Morons, I read some new chapters for fics I haven’t mentioned before and actually read a physical book!

The first of the new chapters was for ‘Master Potter of Kamar-Taj’ by Ryuko monogatari. If I mentioned this one before, bear with me (I looked when I got the last updates and couldn’t find them mentioned on the corresponding days on the blog). It’s an Avengers and Harry Potter crossover where Harry studies under Doctor Strange before going to Hogwarts. It’s almost to the end of first year, storyline wise. The second fanfic I read only the first chapter, but it’s finished. It’s called ‘Second Chances are Fought For’ by fg7dragon. It’s a Naruto and Fate/Stay Night crossover that has Naruto being summoned by Rin instead of Archer (EMIYA). He changes everything. The last new chapter was from ‘Game On! 3 0’ by nordiamus. It’s the third in the Game On! Series. It’s about Harriet Potter who died sometime after becoming the Master of Death. She chooses to reincarnate several times helping heroes in order to save her mother’s soul. She at least gets a Gamer system to help her. The first fic has her in KHR. Well since I just mentioned two series I haven’t talked about yet, I’ll talk about them before I go into the book. Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) is about Edward and Alphonse Elric who are alchemists. Their mother died when they were young (and their father left before that [the story eventually explains it]) so they tried to do the forbidden and bring her back. As a reward, Ed lost a leg and an arm and Al lost his body and his soul is bonded into a suit of armor. Ed gets an automail (a fully functioning mechanical replacement) arm and leg and joins the military to find a way to recover what was taken from them. Many things happen along the way and long hidden secrets are revealed. I would very much suggest this, in its manga and second anime at least. The original FMA was okay for a while, but then diverted and I at least wasn’t a huge fan. FMA: Brotherhood was really good though.

InuYasha is about a young 1990’s high school girl, Kagome, getting dragged into a well at her home (in a shrine) and ending up in the Edo period (between 1603 and 1868, don’t know when during it). There she finds out that demons are real and that she is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo who died in that period over half a century ago. Kikyo was the guardian of the Shikon Jewel and it reappeared in Kagome’s body. She frees a half dog-demon InuYasha (who was sealed by Kikyo and has a history with her) to save her from another demon who wants the jewel. Soon the Jewel is shattered (by Kagome on accident) and she, InuYasha and friends they find along the way have to find all the pieces to complete the Jewel and stop others from using it for evil. Luckily, she can at least return home sometimes, though InuYasha can follow her. I recommend this one as well, both the manga and anime.

Finally, I read the first book in the Baccano! series that I mentioned last time. It’s called “The Rolling Bootlegs” and focuses on how both groups get their immortality, though not much about the first group. I was wrong last time, there are 22 books out and the 23^rd is the one delayed. That’s it for today, see you on the next line!

I read several completely new fics today, but also some new chapters. The new chapters were from Harry Potter and the Stargate, Stand Together and Smile and Relic of the Future. I also read till chapter 64 (of 84) of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons.

The first new fic was ‘Protector of the Fairies’ by Takei Daloui. It’s a Fairy Tail and Bleach crossover. It has Bleach elements built into the Fairy Tail world rather than having a character (or two) just dropped into it. It’s interesting, I haven’t finished it (I’m reading it slowly on the side) as it has 251 chapters and it’s not finished yet. The second new story is ‘Relics of the Past’ by Cyrro. It’s Naruto fic where Iruka is from Whirlpool and takes Naruto in when he’s young. Along with a female Itachi and Sasuke, things are gonna be weird. I also haven’t finished this one because it’s 183 chapters. I’m going to be reading these with a few chapters a day, if that. The last new story is called ‘Clouds in the Sky’ by EriLenx07. It’s a crossover with Harry Potter and KHR. It has a female Harry meeting Hibari in her neighborhood after 5^th year (because Vernon is in the mafia). They then spend many hours together. At least, Harriet is back at Hogwarts in the story now (the author spent too much time pre-Hogwarts in my opinion). It’s unfinished, but interesting. There’s not much for today, though there were quite a few new chapters today. Here’s a list of them: The Unseen Hunt, It Gets Worse (this was the last chapter), The Remnant Knight, Enough (the second to last chapter) and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers. I also finished rereading Harry Potter and the Daft Morons (I hope Sinyk gets back to it soon).

I read two chapters of Honestly Harry – The Year of the Rock. However, the only other thing was the pdf of the third Baccano! light novel, “1931 – The Grand Punk Railroad – Express Episode.”

What shall I talk about in this free space? Hm, how about I talk about one of my favorite manga/animes Case Closed (in America, even though it stopped being dubbed after 6 seasons) or Detective Conan. It’s about Shinichi Kudo (I’m going with the Japanese names in English style. Why? Because I watch mostly the sub version to keep up), whose a high school detective that has helped the police solve many cases. He goes to a theme park with his not-girlfriend Ran Mori and after he solves a case there, follows some shady men. One of them catches him and forces him to take a poison that should kill him. However, it actually de-ages him to elementary school age. He eventually ends up staying with Ran and her (not very good) detective father, Kogoro Mori. Neither knows who he really is and he depends on his inventor neighbor to help him solve Kogoro’s cases for him. All while trying to find the people who did this to him to get back his body. This is no easy task, as is shown in that it’s still going after 24 years (the manga started in 1994 and isn’t finished yet). It has over 1000 chapters (though it’s on hiatus for the author’s medical treatment), over 900 episodes and over 20 movies. It must be doing something right. The animation is older at first, but gets better as the years go by. I really recommend this to anyone who is a fan of mystery shows.

My dog kept me up again because of storms, but I slept late so I’m okay. The only new chapter (from a story I’ve already talked about) I got today was Mauling Snarks, I guess to make up for yesterday’s haul. I got a new chapter for a Seerking story (one that’s not in his normal rotation) called ‘Ranma: Happenstance Gone Right.’ It’s a Ranma ½ story that has Akane not being able to be his fiancée after a diversion in one of the events that makes it so that only Shampoo and Ukyo can marry him. I also rewatched the first few episodes of Log Horizon. It’s a light novel turned anime about a lot of people playing an online game being transported into the game. The main character, Shiroe, along with his friends have to figure out how to live in this new situation while trying to figure out what happened. I like this one and have watched it several times, I hope a third season eventually comes out.

I also reread ‘The Road not Taken’ by sbmcneil. It’s a Harry Potter fic that has Sirius meeting Harry after he runs away in the third book and taking him away for the summer. I last story I started rereading today was ‘Harry and Ginny: A Love Story’ by Epeefencer. It’s a Soul Bond that happens after the Chamber. Harry is drawn to help Ginny and its discovered they have a soul bond. Forces work to help and protect them, while Dumbledore is trying to find out why his plans have gone wrong. It’s interesting and I suggest it, even if it hasn’t been updated since 2015 (the author updates some of their other fics, sometimes). A Walking Weekend

Today, I had more time and thus read a lot more, mostly Homestuck. I got to page 2378. Almost all of the trolls have been introduced, but they’re kinda really out there. It’s going through their ‘origins’ and many of the trolls are messed up (in the head mostly, but also a lot physically especially from each other). Yeah, might take a break from this one for a little bit.

I’ve been actually rereading the story From Fake Dreams that I’ve mentioned before. I’m able to reread many stories faster because I copy the text of a chapter onto a text to speech app called Voice Dream. It keeps the chapter copy so I can search for it if I want to listen to it again. I know some people don’t like the ‘computerized’ voice, but I have one with a British accent and I like it!

I read new chapters from both Taylor Varga (Yay!) and Mauling Snarks. Other than that I read the three newest chapters of the Korean manga called, “The Gamer”. It’s about a boy named Han Jee-Han who gains the power to treat life like a video game. He can level up, get items, learn skills from books, quests, and many more similar things. This leads him into the Abyss, the underworld of those with magic and other abilities. Watch as he learns to hone his skills (including the dish washing one) and make his own way in the Abyss. It has 239 chapters so far.

Today was a lazy day mostly, because it was very rainy. I don’t live on the east coast, but to all those that are (Especially in the Carolinas) stay safe! I mostly reread (listened to) From Fake Dreams, though I did go out and walk a little to hatch some eggs in PoGo to get those regionals (none today, I hatched to ones that I got before the event).

I rewatched the a few of Pokemon shorts called “Pokemon Generations” that animates some of the scenes from the game (including short side stories that you didn’t know). To name some are: Blue’s run through the Pokemon League before you from the Red and Blue games and life throughout the games in the eyes of a Pikachu. Other than that I got a new chapter of An Essence of Silver and Steel and one I haven’t mentioned before, ‘Stand Together and Smile’ by KnightEstoc. It’s a Sword Art Online fanfic that has the main characters Asuna and Kirito (Kazuto) meeting and becoming friends as kids IRL before the main storyline. In absence of more things I’ve read today, I figured I just mention how diverse anime and manga are. I mean you have the sci-fi and magical ones, but I’m just talking about in terms of ones about sports. They have ones for the ‘main’ sports: Football (Soccer to those of us from America. Because we just can’t have the same name for things that the rest of the world does. I mean take the way we tell time for example, Americans call the 24 hour clock ‘Military time’, when to the rest of the world it’s just normal time) represented by “Whistle”, America Football represented by “Eyeshield 21”, Tennis represented by “The Prince of Tennis”, Baseball represented by “Cross Game”, Boxing represented by “Hajime no Ippo”, and volleyball represented by “Haikyu!!” (Keep in mind these are just one example of each, there are more especially Baseball and Football). However there are some for other, more obscure sports: Table Tennis represented by “Ping Pong” (Yes, that’s the name of the manga), Swimming represented by “Free!”, and Badminton by “Smash!” to name a few. Today I also walked some more to hatch regional eggs (And 10km for Celebi quests), but the only regional I hatched was a Tauros. I did finish the first eevee 10km quest and evolved it into a shiny umbreon at night for the next set (just one more 10km!). I reread (listened) to more of From Fake Dreams and am almost finished, just another ten chapters or so to get to where it currently is at 52 chapters.

I finished up Pokemon Generations, but that’s it. I’ll talk about Doctor Who today. For those who don’t know, Doctor Who is a British show that started in the 1960’s about a Time Lord named The Doctor who traveled space and time with his companions. When he dies, he is reincarnated into a different body. The series went on for a few decades and made it through 8 regenerations before it stopped for a while. It was rebooted in the 2000’s and started on the 9^th (really 10^th) regeneration. I started watching a few years after the reboot, but they’re already on the 13^th (really 14^th) Doctor, who is now a woman. (The ‘9^th’ doctor is called the War Doctor and is only in the movie ‘The Day of the Doctor”). Look it up, but you won’t find all the original episodes because some have been lost to time (lol).

I finished From Fake Dreams and started rereading a fic called ‘Ginny Returns’ by kb0. It’s a Harry Potter story about a future Ginny who only has a paralyzed Hermione left, who goes back in time to save her husband (Harry), family, friends, and the wizarding world. Kbo is a good writer and although not all of their fics are Harry/Ginny (a few are though), I still like most of them. I did read some new fanfictions today though! The first one is called “Persephone” by sunflowerb. It’s a How to Train Your Dragon Fic. (if you don’t know what it is, look it up. There are two movies currently and a third one coming out soonish). In this one, Hiccup is thought dead by Toothless after Astrid follows him. Then a Dragon Rider shows up and can ‘control’ the raiding dragons (he’s really trying to stop destruction). They give Astrid (now 20) up to him as a bride to make him stop the raids. It’s not a happy fic and deals with abandonment and alcoholism, but it’s a good story all the same. And it’s finished, there might be a sequel later. The second story I read is called ‘Origin Story’ by Worldmaker. It’s a crossover with Buffy the Vampire Slayer/DC/Marvel. It has a copy of Xander in Power Girl’s body being made in the Marvel verse (Where things are very wrong) after the Halloween body switching spell. He has to get used to being in a female body with super powers, while on the run for next to nothing by the Marvel heroes & Villains. For those who don’t know Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it’s about a girl named Buffy who becomes the Slayer (the one who slays demons and vampires) and her friends as they battle vampires and demons while trying to live their lives. I would suggest it, even if it’s a bit old.

Other than that, I’ve started to try The Alchemist Code phone app, but am holding judgment and read the new chapter of Mauling Snarks. I walked again for eggs and km in PoGo and got halfway for the 10km and got a FarFetch’d (which I already had from the event last year. I need a Kangaskhan and a Mr. Mime).

No One for a Week!

Wow, nobody’s even visited the site since last Thursday. I’m sad to realize this, but maybe I need to advertise more. If someone has suggestions or thinks I’m doing something wrong, please tell me. Tuesday

So to finish yesterday’s new fanfictions (they’re all still Quatermass’ stories), the first is ‘Separated at Birth’. It’s a Harry Potter and Fate/Stay Night crossover happening after the events of the HP books. It’s revealed that Harry is not really a Potter (causing Ginny and most people to leave him), but was really stolen from another universe to become the Boy Who Lived. Taking few people with him (Hermione, Luna and George) he gets Zelretch’s help to go to meet his now younger twin sister, Rin Tohsaka a year or so before the Grail War. The last one from yesterday was, ‘Plenipotent Player Prince.’ It’s a crossover between Code Geass and Overlord. Overlord is a light novel/anime about a guy who stays logged in on a VR game on its last day until the servers shut down. When it happens, he and the NPCs in his guild’s base are transported to a new world (including a succubus he changed to description to love him). Now a real life lich, he and the now alive NPCs take this world by storm after he takes the guild’s name as his own, Ainz Ooal Gown. In the fic, instead of being transported to a new world, most the characters a reborn as Code Geass characters, with Ainz Ooal Gown being Lelouch. See how this changes things. Moving on to today, I have more Qautermass fics (Yay). No really, they’re good. The first for today was, ‘Gorgon and Thanatos’. It’s another Harry Potter and Fate/Zero Crossover (the author has a few). It has things going wrong again after the books and Harry going to be a guardian of a hidden library in Fuyuki a few years before the Fourth Grail War. He isn’t a participant, but ends up accidentally have a Heroic Spirit of his own as a familiar. The war is much different because of it. Next is ‘Parva Sub Ingenti’. It means, ‘The small under the huge’ and it’s a crossover between Harry Potter (surpise!) and “Gate: Thus the JDF Fought There”. Gate is a story about a Gate to a medieval magical world appearing in Japan and an army coming through to attack. The attack is eventually repelled and the JDF (Japanese Defense Force) is sent through to find out about this new world and get reparations. One soldier is Itami (an otaku who happened to be there when the attack happened and helped save people). He leads a group to map this new world and help as many pretty girls as possible and have them follow him around. Also, there’s a huge dragon!

The fic has Harry, Hermione and Luna going through the veil (which leads to the world on the other side of the Gate) several years before the Gate would open. Harry ends up saving someone who would become a villain in the original story and living his life there. See how this massively changes the story. Also Sirius is still alive. Following is ‘Light the Blue Touch Paper and Run Like Hell’. It’s a crossover between Thor and Fate/Zero that has Loki becoming the master of Caster (Medea) in the Fourth Grail War after being saved by Zelretch (this is after the events of the movie Thor, before he meets Thanos). He uses this as a way to work through his frustrations about his family and learn more about himself. It’s finished and the author plans to make a sequel at a later time. ‘Cambion’ is a Harry Potter and High School DxD crossover. It has Harry as a half devil with Riser Phenex being his father. James kicks him out of the Potter family for having a different father. The last fic (for today) from Quartermass is ‘Neopolitan and the Goblet of Fire’. It is a crossover between Harry Potter and RWBY in which a female Harry is Neopolitan. During the events at the end of the 3^rd season, the Goblet of Fire summons Neo back to the Harry Potter world. She then decides to take revenge on her father and Sirius (who threw her through the Veil at a young age). It’s interesting. I read a few more chapters of Remnant’s Reclaimer and started rereading a RWBY fanfiction called ‘The Remnant Knight’ by Masseffect-TxS. It has Jaune sending Pyrrha away at the end of the 3^rd season and facing Cinder himself. This reveals an ability not even he knew about in his bloodline that helps him, at a cost. Homestuck was mentioned in a fic and I went looking for it. I only got to the 27^th page, but it looks … weird. It’s an MS paint adventure about, trolls, I think. I’ll get back to it later. The link to it is here – https://www.homestuck.com/.

Lastly I read a new chapter from Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies That Won’t Stop Bugging Me. For those who don’t remember, it’s a one shot/short story repository for him.

Wednesday

I read a lot again today, so get ready! I read some more chapters of Becoming a Man Among Men. However I read more of Quartermass’ fic today… sorry going to be for a little bit more. The first one is called, ‘Wings of the Forsaken’ and is a Harry Potter and “Sekirei” crossover. Sekirei is a manga/anime about a young Japanese man who gets caught up in a contest between aliens called Sekirei who are forced to fight because of a mad man’s whims. Most of the Sekirei are beautiful girls who bond with their ‘destined one’ and fight until only one remains. Minato ‘wings’ several Sekirei and is also forced to compete. It’s interesting, but you can tell it’s a story for young men (what with all the panty shots).

Wings of the Forsaken has Harry cast out of the Potter’s for being Lupin’s son (who helped Lily overcome the love potion James has her under) after the Halloween attack. He is eventually left in Japan and is taken in by Miya. After taking over the company in charge of the Sekirei, Harry is forced back to England for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. The next one is called ‘Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me’. It’s a Pirates of the Caribbean movie series and Sekirei crossover that has Jack Sparrow reborn as Minato. The last one from Quartermass (again today) is called ‘Warlock’. It is a Code Geass and Harry Potter crossover. It has Harry going through the veil in fifth year and ending up in the Code Geass universe. He becomes Kallen’s boyfriend and helps out their group before Zero shows up. I also completely reread a fic called ‘The Ash Connection’ by I am Lu. It has Ash and all his former and current traveling companions (It’s set in Black and White), rivals and friends on the run from a Team Rocket controlled Mewtwo. Thursday

Not that much overall read today, but again there are a few Quartermass fics. The first is ‘Disquiet’ and it is a Harry Potter and “Black Lagoon” crossover. Black Lagoon is about a shipping company who does illegal things for money who capture a Japanese salary man for a disk he is transporting. Rock, as he is later called, is abandoned to die by his company and falls in with the Lagoon company. Watch as he, Revy (a two-handed female sharpshooter), and the rest of the crew handle their jobs and the mess that follows. I also started rewatching the anime a few days ago to remind myself of the series, I would definitely recommend it.

In Disquiet, Harry (now Hal) is the partner of a character from later in the series, Frederica Sawyer. She (in the story) is Bellatrix’s daughter. They were thought dead by the Wizarding World (WW) after James and Sirius try to make Horcruxes from them (and says they were killed practicing dark magic). When Harry’s brother dies in his fifth year, the WW comes looking for them. Only to find them very much willing to kill anyone who comes after them with the intent to kill. It happens during the Killer Maid arc and doesn’t have much to do with the main characters of Black Lagoon. The link to the story is – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12459701/1/Disquiet.

The other one from Quartermass today is a one-shot called ‘Coconuts?’. It’s a Fate/Stay Night – Unlimited Blade Works afterstory that has Zelretch sending Monty Python and the Holy Grail for Arturia to watch… yeah. I would not recommend for the actual King Arthur to ever watch it, as hilarious as it is. On a side note, when a friend from summer camp (when I was in high school) heard I hadn’t seen it, he recited it to me verbatim over the next few days (impressive right). I have since seen it. Other than a few more chapters of Becoming a Man Among Men, I read a new chapter of Parva Sub Ingeti and a new fic, ‘Reaching for a Dream’ by Noodlehammer. It is the first of a series of Naruto fics and the only one not a crossover. It has an older Naruto than the other characters normally his age and different female Kyuubi. Warning! This is an M fic for a reason. It has many Lemons in it (if you don’t know what that means, it is slang for R rated interactions between men and women). Don’t like, don’t read. Finally, I finished adding the new characters to my own fanfiction and am looking forward to writing more to eventually post it. On the Correct Day!

Saturday

This should be on the correct day (Monday). Today I mostly read fanfictions I’ve already mentioned on here: Ichigo Awakens, Child of the Storm, and select chapters of Soul Chess. That doesn’t mean, I didn’t read or watch anything else. I read a new chapter for the fanfiction ‘An Essence of Silver and Steel” by James D. Fawkes. It’s a crossover fic between Worm and a story from TypeMoon “Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya” (lets shorten it to Prisma). Prisma is an in alternate universe to the Fate/Stay Night universe and has one the characters from that one (Illya, a homunculous) getting an alive magic stick named ‘Ruby’. She and others, including someone who has another magic stick named ‘Sapphire’, have to fine ‘Class Cards’ in order to save the tower. Things devolve from there. Oh, did I mention that the magic sticks have a warped personality from their creator, a Dead Apostle (TypeMoon’s vampires) named Zelretch who is the ultimate troll. Still it’s fun (think of it as a nicer Puella Magi Madoka Magica, if you understand the reference).

Basically in An Essence of Silver and Steel, Zelretch (who can travel and pull energy from parallel worlds) finds that the ‘Worm’ world does not really have magic anymore and sends another magic stick to find out why. It finds it’s way to becoming Taylor’s power. Things go right and wrong. It’s one of the fics that shows that, yeah, Worm is a dark hero story, so things have to go wrong. I would recommend it. The other main thing I did was watch a few episodes of the Amazon Prime series, “Jack Ryan.” I haven’t read the books or watched any of the movie’s, but this is a really good series. Jack Ryan is a former Marine who is now a CIA analyst who sees a threat before anyone else and convinces his new boss to go after this guy. Things go wrong and now they’re trying to find him and stop him, while Jack is learning the experience of going out into the field. I recognized the actor for Jack Ryan from The Office (Though I haven’t seen much of it, mostly funny compilations on YouTube) and found I like Jack Ryan more than I thought I would.

Sunday

Today was a mostly focused on Ichigo Awakens, but I did read a few other things. The first one is a fic I started rereading, ‘A Protector’s Pride’ by NeoRyu777. It’s a Bleach fic that has Ichigo dealing with his inner Hollow before he meets the Vizards. Instead of one time beat down, they decide to do it every two weeks and whoever wins is in charge until the next time. Has a more forward thinking Ichigo. Then there was a fanfiction I read for the first time, ‘Unto the Breach’ by Backslash Echo. It’s a Naruto fic that’s 11 chapters and been around since 2015, but it was updated in August of this year, so maybe still good. It has Naruto being sent accidentally back in time in the fight against Tobi while holding the Tailed Beasts. All the jinchuuriki’s have their memories back, and maybe some others too. I also dabbled in a fic (meaning I started reading, but will come back later and see if I want to read) that is a crossover between Fate/Stay Night and Sword Art Online called ‘Fate Revelation Online’ by daniel-gudman. Sword Art Online is a anime/light novel about a gamer ‘Kirito’ who along with thousands of others is trapped in a VR (Virtual Reality) MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that the title is named after until they can clear it. The main catch, if you die in the game, you die in reality. The helmet that allows to connect to the game will fry the player if taken off or if it losses power. Watch as Kirito, Asuna and their friends try to beat the game, for the first half of the first season. After that Asuna gets kind of sidelined and while it comes back to her, she’s only really important in that she’s with Kirito. I like the series, but know that some people don’t. Watch/read it if you want.

Fate Revelation Online has Shiro and Illya joining the game (which is different because the creator is also a magus). It didn’t catch my fancy at this time, but will come back and see later. The link to the fic is – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9740933/1/Fate-Revelation-Online.

I got a new chapter for a still short story called ‘Roofie” by Lunar-L. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir fic that has an adult Marinette being roofied at a fashion party and being saved by Adrian. Her drugged state has her revealing that she likes him. It’s only on the fourth chapter and is finally the morning after (nothing happens, he just takes her home) and they’re both thinking about last night and what will happen from now on. Monday

I will post today, and man was today a large one for new fics. I caught up to where I hadn’t read of Ichigo Awakens and took a break from it for today. I read a new chapter of Mauling Snarks as it is Monday. Before I go into the fics I haven’t read before, I started rereading a RWBY fic called ‘Remnant’s Reclaimer’ by Hysterical Clerical Hijinks. It has an a little over 7 year’s older RWBY running so fast with her Semblance (along with an explosion) to accidentally travel back in time to her first year of Beacon (in a massively AU storyline that has Cinder as the main big bad). She then decides to stop Cinder’s plans (She didn’t merge with her younger self). It has lesbian couples in it, so if you don’t like, don’t read. The same author – Quatermass, wrote all the rest of the fanfictions I read today. The first one I read was called ‘Is Your Great-Aunt and AI!?’ and is a Harry Potter and Portal crossover. Portal is a set of two games about an insane AI, GLaDOS, who takes over a research facility after her human mind is uploaded and she goes insane. You play the mute character Chell, who must use a Portal Gun to solve challenges and escape. In this fic, Harry is sent to live with his great-aunt before she becomes GLaDOS and helps her stay (relatively) sane. She discovers his magic (which she calls ‘Will-based Tranmogrification Force’ or WFT) and he eventually goes to Hogwarts. However he has a more scientifically minded outlook, so things are interesting. Especially when the Morgan Freeman (from Half-Life) characterization from Freeman’s Mind (a YouTube video set on the channel Accursed Farms – the link to the channel is – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ6KZTTnkE-s2XFJJmoTAkw). I watched a few episodes and will watch more later, but my favorite line so far (which is also in the fic) is “I am Captain Gordon Freeman of the Intergalactic House of Pancakes ordering you to open”. The next one is called ‘Ex Umbra in Solem’ (which is Latin for ‘From the Shadows into the Light’) and is a Harry Potter and Fate/Zero crossover. Fate/Zero is the prequel to Fate/Stay Night and tells the story of the Fourth Grail War (Fate/Stay Night is the Fifth Grail War). The fic has Harry being thrown through the veil of death after things go wrong in the final battle and everyone he cares for dies. Umbridge (Umbitch) takes over the ministry and after trying to kill him in other ways (he’s the Master of Death) they kill him with the veil. He doesn’t die and ends up in a summoning circle along with Saber (Athuria Pendragon). He’s not a servant. Watch how his actions change the war. It is incomplete, but still being worked on. The one after that is ‘Pulvis et Umbra Sumus’ (which is Latin for ‘We are Dust and Shadow’) and is a Harry Potter and RWBY crossover. It has Harry being the son of Qrow and Gretchen Rainart (who was transported to the HP universe and died in childbirth after being tortured). Qrow and Raven go and get him at the end of third year. Fourth Day

Hello, everyone! As has been established by the last few titles, I am not a great namer. I’ll try to have better titles, but I feel for the first week I’m going to follow this trend. It just wouldn’t feel right. Or you know it just might be my having watched Skyward Wing playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days recently and the summer quest in Kingdom Hearts Union x also saying what day you’re playing in, who knows?

Anywho, I jumped around a lot today in what I read. I did read a few chapters of Ashes of the Past and got up to start of chapter 33, when Ash gets a rematch against Richie in the Indigo League (not that Richie knows it’s a rematch, but whatever). I interrupted that with rereading a Worm fanfic called ‘I, Panacea’ by ack1308 on fanfiction.net. I think he has a different user name on AO3, but I don’t remember what it is at this moment. I just checked to make sure, but all of his fics include the Worm story and he is one of my favorite Worm fic writers. This one is a sequel to a physical self-insert story called ‘Security’ and has the author’s character from that story mentally inserted into a Worm character’s head alongside her, namely Panacea. She is one of the main characters that is in bad situation that gets worse and eventually breaks her. Some people love her, some people hate her, but she is a popular character to get help in fanfics. Definitely recommend these two fics (though I, Panacea is not finished), their ‘sequel’ ‘I, Scion’ (which is a 3 chapter silly fic) and all of his fics.

Next, reread a few chapters from the fic ‘From Fake Dreams’ by Third Fang including the latest chapter. From Fake Dream is set in the Fate/Stay Night storyline of the TYPE-MOON universe. Fate/Stay Night is a Japanese visual novel/Eroge (which means it might include sex and sexual themes) that has anime adaptations of it.

I’m going to pause here. Just to be clear, in this blog I am not going to talk about porn or sex. I am however going to be talking about stories that have that in them. So that anyone who is underage or doesn’t want read about such things is happy, I will post R rated content, before and after the topic, like this.

Anyway, while there are sex and sexual themes in the visual novel, it’s not a main staple in either it or From Fake Dreams.

Fate/Stay Night has three main storylines you can follow to get one of three girls: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven’s Feel. There are variations of these storylines, but they don’t really matter to this discussion. I mention this because in From Fake Dreams, long before the main story, the father of the main character (Shiro Emiya) Kiritsugu Emiya has dreams of those storylines and the storyline one of the main characters Archer. Based on this information (which he does verify as much as he can), he sets things up so that his son can survive and defeat all the world-ending threats (and fulfill some personal wishes too). Things don’t exactly work out like Kiritsugu hopes, but when does it ever. Still a great story that has 52 great chapters with more incoming. He also has several other great stories that I will talk about later (including one tomorrow because there’s already going to be a lot on here for today).

Moving on finally to something other than fanfiction and anime, I watched the movie Alpha in theaters today. I really liked it, but those who don’t like subtitles shouldn’t see it because all dialogue in the movie is subtitles. I don’t actually know the name of the language they were using, but it’s set 20,000 years ago so who knows. Well, I could (and probably will) look up the language. See I even did it in the middle of that sentence (it’s fictional). Moving on, I thought it was a great movie with stunning visuals and sounds that really capture the wilderness of long ago. For those who don’t know about the movie, it’s about a the chief’s son trying to get home after an accident and befriending a wolf along the way. Thus the wolf/dog became man’s best friend. The film does a good job of showing the story rather than speaking it. I would definitely recommend it.
