Weekend of a Few Readers – 2019 Version

Hello my friends! It’s another Monday with very little traffic over the weekend. I was wondering why there were no votes on my pole and now it’s obvious that it’s because there was next to no one who had heard about it. I’ll post the link again in this post in the hope that someone will read this and vote – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

Anyway, I spent sometime continuing rereading Taylor Varga, Outfoxed and Neo Yondaime Hokage, finished rereading How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk and Prime Directive: Hero and reread History’s Strongest Disciple Again?! The new chapters for the weekend were from: Ashes to Flame, Mauling Snarks (Fri & Mon), Taylor Varga (Fri, Sat & Sun), Relic of the Future, The Reclamation of Black Magic, Muggleborn Teacher, The Unseen Hunt, The Healing Touch and Tsunami. I wonder if anyone would be interested in me making a page with the fanfiction/online stories links I’ve posted on it. Maybe the next poll if anyone ever votes on this one.

I started off by reading (for the first time) a fanfiction by lazybum89 called ‘A Conversation with the Master of Death.’ It’s an Avengers/Harry Potter crossover that has Phil Coulson meeting with ‘The Master of Death’ when Loki shoots him. He’s surprised to learn that he’s not the only one of the team to have met him. What will happen next? I’ll find out when you do because it only has 3 chapters so far and was last updated in Jan last year. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9594344/1/A-Conversation-with-the-Master-of-Death.

Next I wanted to read a fanfiction, but I hadn’t read the other story it was a crossover with. The webcomic is called “Looking for Group” and is an amusing comic about a Dark Elf named Cale’anon who wants to be a hero, but ends up with people who are villains. This means mostly the first other character he meets, the warlock Richard, who loves killing and setting things on fire. It’s over a thousand pages, but I’ve only read almost 300 currently. The link to the first page is here – https://www.lfg.co/page/1/.

I also reread another of VFSNAKE’s fics called, ‘Rewriting History.’ It’s a Naruto fic about how things went wrong after the last war and Naruto ends up in the past to fix the future, starting with stopping his clan’s village from being destroyed. Watch as he thwarts plots and help those he cares about live happy lives. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11636547/1/Rewriting-History.

Following that, I started read more sakurademonalchemist stories that I haven’t read before (none of which are finished, of course). The first one is called ‘Chaos Hunter,’ which is crossover between Supernatural and Slayers. “Slayers” is an older anime, based off light novels, about a powerful sorceress called Lina Inverse and her companions. She loves money, treasure and food and often overpowers her spells causing tons of damage. It was one of the most popular of the 1990s.

In the fic, she is transported to the Supernatural world and ends up with Sam instead of Jess at the beginning of the series. She works with the Winchesters to find their father and becomes a Hunter of her own. Watch as she changes things up with her Chaos, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11380493/1/Chaos-Hunter.

Next is ‘Wizard’s Law,’ which is a crossover between Harry Potter and “Law and Order: SVU.” Law and Order: SVU (or Special Victims Unit) a show is about detectives in the (fictional) 16th Precinct of New York PD who deal with crimes against children (sexual or otherwise) and the elderly. It’s interesting and I haven’t watched in a while, cause it’s been on since 1999 (on it’s 20th season now). Based on it’s predecessor “Law and Order,” it’s more popular (as evidenced in the fact it’s still going while the other one ended).

The story has the lead female detective, Olivia Benson; finding out Harry Potter is her distant cousin. He is sent to live with her after 4th year and decides he doesn’t want to go back. In-between baking sweets for the precinct and foiling the attempts of the order to get him back, his life is still anything but normal. Here is the link to the story – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11349550/1/Wizard-s-Law.

Then came ‘The Greatest Prank,’ which the one I read Looking for Group for, as it crossovers with Harry Potter in this fic. After first year, Harry sends an owl message to (what he believes is) a fictional warlock named Richard. When he goes to Hogwarts for his second year, he finds out that self-same Richard is the new DADA teacher. What will be in store for the poor denizens of Hogwarts with him in castle? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11246463/1/The-Greatest-Prank.

Following that was ‘A Deal Made in Good Faith,’ which is proof sakurademonalchemist can write longer fics (42 chapters, but still not finished). It’s a crossover mainly between Harry Potter and Supernatural, but there are others stories in there. Female Harry accidentally performs a demon summoning ritual and Crowley comes to investigate. Finding her, he makes a deal with Petunia for her and takes her to Hell. However, she is not tortured or turned into a demon. He wants to use her to finally get the contracts on Voldemort and Dumbledore that are overdue. Follow her as she works to get them or pay their price herself. All of which can be found, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10916724/1/A-Deal-Made-in-Good-Faith.

‘Curses and Cures’ is the next one. It’s a crossover between Ranma ½ and Fruits Basket. Kyo goes on a training trip to China and finds himself with a curse from the Jusenkyo. This is not a great thing, but he finds out it nulls his Cat curse when active. Using this and his new skills from training with the Amazons, he’ll take the Fruits Basket world by storm. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11290729/1/Curses-and-Cures.

Finally, I read ‘Back in Black,’ which is primarily a Harry Potter and Supernatural crossover. Years after defeating Voldemort, Harry finds he can’t live in his loveless life anymore and asks Death to reincarnate him where he’ll have love in his life. Death reincarnates him as Dean Winchester, with no immediate access to his previous life. Watch as a Harry-influenced Dean changes the plans made by demon and angel, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10631516/1/Back-in-Black.

Warning!  There are male-male relationships in this story. It’s not for a while, but it’s pretty blatant later (but no sex scenes). If that offends you, or you just don’t want to read it, follow my policy, “Don’t Like, Don’t Read.” It’s just that simple.

That’s it for the weekend, thanks for reading and hope more people do. Remember to vote on the poll and I’ll y’all on Thursday!

I Changed the Archive and Made a Poll (Please Vote!)

Hey everyone! It’s been a week and no one has liked (or really read) any or the posts since I started this style of writing. Therefore, I made a poll that I’ll put a link to at the beginning of the post for the next week while I continue with this style. After those two weeks, I’ll look at the result and use the winning style from now on. Please take some time to vote here – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

I’ve also redone the archive section like I mentioned last time. The only direct chapter links in the Archive will be from the current month. When we get to February, I’ll move the January post links to a January page and put a link to it in Archive. When 2019 ends (and I hopefully will still be posting and have more people reading my posts), I’ll do what I did with my 2018 posts and move the month links to a new 2019 page that will be linked on the main Archive page.

These past few days I’ve read some more of Outfoxed and Lord Over the Night Sky and started rereading Prime Directive: Hero, How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk and Taylor Varga. The new chapters were from: Tsunami, Service with a Smile, Reality Bites Worm, My Hero Academia (manga chapter), It’s in the Cards, Heroes Assemble!, Taylor Varga and Death March (the online story).

Since I liked the fanfic Archer from last post, I decided to look into other stories by the author Fencer22. The first one that caught my eye was ‘Flames’ which is a Worm and KHR crossover. The only real crossover is that Taylor triggers with Dying Will flames, but not Sky. Instead of the normal Taylor’s outlook of becoming a Hero, this Taylor is more practical and wants money to prepare for the imminent end of the world (and explains why she thinks so). It’s interesting, though it only has 13 chapters. If you would like to read it, here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13042230/1/Flames.

The other one I found interesting was ‘Grind,’ which is a Worm and multiple crossover fic. It has Taylor triggering with the power to enter any type of story (Book, DVD or game) and gain the power(s) of whatever characters she or anyone she brings along play as. The only issue, they have to go through the whole story. For example, when she goes into the first book, she’s stuck ‘reading’ the book and doing whatever the main character does for four hours until the end of it, basically outing herself. It’s a good story, sadly the author decided they could not write it anymore and just posted a spattering of scenes leading up to an ‘ending’ for the last chapter. So, if you feel you can read it and not be disappointed with that ending, feel free to read it here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11375309/1/Grind.

Next, sakurademonalchemist posted a new story called, ‘Breaking the Gilded Cage.’ It’s a KHR and Natsume’s Book of Friends crossover, with a female Tsuna turning back time to her younger self to get away from the Vongola and instead taking the route of Takashi from Natsume’s Book of Friends. It’s only two chapters long so far, but it’s not bad. Kinda hard to make a decision about how a story will be in two chapters. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13166072/1/Breaking-the-Gilded-Cage.

Following that I found the fic ‘Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R-eset’ by Starlight’s Poet. It’s a Lelouch of the Rebellion story with side stories like Code Geass: Akito of the Exiled and game storylines included. It starts off with Lelouch getting the chance to relive his rebellion from the start and him taking it. He’s more powerful this time and knows what happened to his mother, so he can focus on taking down Britannia. The story is interesting and I haven’t finished it yet up to the current chapter yet, so I hope it continues to be so. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10704227/1/Code-Geass-Lelouch-of-the-Rebellion-R-eset.

Finally, I started rereading ‘Neo Yondaime Hokage’ by Psycho G. The story is a Naruto one where Minato not only seals the Kyuubi into Naruto; he also seals himself. Naruto grows up as Tsunade’s ‘son’ and soon finds multiple women after him. But, just because he is stronger doesn’t mean he’ll bulldoze through fights. He still will have issues, just different ones than the normal ones. He even accidentally visits the ‘canon’ universe and changes things for the better! It hasn’t been updated since 2015, but hopefully it will eventually be updated. Here is the link to the story – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3201446/1/Neo-Yondaime-Hokage.

Going back to more of what I watched during my ‘Christmas break from blogging’ (I’ll be doing one or two movies/shows for the next few posts because I watched a lot during that time period) I watched “The Mummy Returns” from the Mummy series. I’ve seen it and the rest of the series before, but I always enjoy rewatching them. Watching Rick and Evelyn O’Conner battle it out against Imhotep while trying to save their son is great. I was sad Evelyn didn’t return for the third movie, but it was good anyway. Not sure which one is my favorite, though the third one was probably my least favorite. I would recommend any of them though if you haven’t watched them yet!

To finish it off, I watched “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” I would have liked it better if I had read the story before hand, but it was what was decided to watch at that time. I found it interesting, even if I missed the first part. I’ll probably read the books sometime, but I think I’ll like the books better because it looks like they just crammed the second book at least into the last 30 mins of the movie.

Anyway, that’s the end of the post today! Look forward to the post on Monday and don’t forget to vote! Here’s the link again, just in case – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

Happy 2019!

Happy New Year! So this on this last weekend of the year 2018, I actually have less than normal because I had work today and Friday. I finished rereading Light the Blue Touch Paper and Run Like Hell and Harry Potter and the Dark Lady. The new chapters this weekend were: Ashes to Flame, Mauling Snarks (Fri & Mon), Relic of the Future, Gun Bunny, 4 chapters of An Essence of Silver and Steel, Reading Chronicles Book 1: To the Victor, the Spoils, Heroes Assemble!, The Unseen Hunt, and Deku: The Telekenetic Hero.

Again, I’ll start with the fanfiction and movie to TV shows and movies after that. The first one I’ll talk about is ‘Lord Over the Night Sky’ by Triser. It’s a Harry Potter and Lyrical Nanoha crossover where Vernon takes Harry to Japan when they first get him and drop him off at an orphanage. Harry ends up with Hayate and gets the ‘Book of Darkness’ instead of her. Things change and do so even more when Harry (and the others) gets his letter to Hogwarts. The chapters are shorter and the spelling is sometimes off, but it’s good otherwise. I’ve only reread 17 chapters of the 114, but this is also the first of several stories in the storyline. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7018702/1/Lord-Over-the-Night-Sky.

Next is ‘Outfoxed’ by hazeleyes180. It’s a Naruto fic where a female Kyuubi trains Naruto after things happen when he’s younger. It’s a harem fic for Naruto with girls like Hinata and Anko. He gets stronger fast, but it doesn’t mean things are easier for him. There’re no R Rated things, but they do skirt around it. The unfortunate thing is that it hasn’t been updated since August 2016. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8211184/1/Outfoxed.

Following that is the (current) last story in the Witches Secret triology, ‘Harry Potter and the Corvinus Strain.’ The story is mostly on the Witches Secret fanfiction story, it’s just missing the last two chapters. These last two can be found on the Yahoo group Rotaryfile. It mixes strongly with Underworld series. As I haven’t watched it, I can’t say anything about how the author portrays it. It’s interesting, but there’s really no one who can stop Harry in the story.

Then there was ‘Archer’ by Fencer22. It’s a Worm and Fate/Stay Night crossover where Taylor gets Archer (Counter Guardian EMIYA) as her powers, with him teaching her how to use them. She’s put under Master/Stranger protocols immediately and has to deal with them for a while. There were eight chapters when I read it, but a new chapter came out today. It’s good and I look forward to it continuing. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13137917/1/Archer.

I also read another new story by Selector called, ‘Titanfall.’ It’s a Titanfall and Worm crossover, with Taylor calling a Titan with an AI when she Triggers. It’s interesting, but only 4 chapters so far. Again, never played Titanfall, so I can’t comment on it.  Taylor’s been out all four chapters, so it will be fun once she’s up. Find out here at this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13083668/1/Titanfall.

I haven’t watched anything this weekend, but I never finished what I saw last week. The first I’ll mention is “Meet the Robinsons.” I really like this movie and the music in it. It’s about a child inventor, Lewis, who thinks he’ll never amount to anything and how a young boy, Wilber, from the future works to change his mind. It’s has a good theme of never give up and to ‘Keep Moving Forward.’ This is a great movie for all ages.

I also watched “Kubo of the Two Strings” for the first time. It was a great movie, but a sad one. I was called to help with something for the last scene, but luckly I have it here at home and was able to finish it recently. It was a different kind of animation, but it wasn’t bad. Also a great movie for all ages.

I watched part one episode of “Love It of List It” on HGTV. It was okay. The wife was kinda, I don’t really want to stay here, but I think any of the ones I’m being shown are right either. I didn’t see the end, but hopefully they found what they wanted.

I also watched a few episodes of ‘Property Brothers’ (yeah, there were a lot of building/buy house shows on, I know). It was interesting, but there a lot of issues and the main episode I saw had rich kids buying their first house and calling daddy for extra money of unnecessary additions. So, I’d have to see more to really get an opinion.

I’ll also be making a 2018 section for the archive this week, look forward to it. See everyone on Thursday and have a happy start to 2019!

I Have an Archive Now

Friday

So, like I mentioned last post, I made an archive for my posts. A link to it can be found on the menu at the top of the main blog. It is separated into months for now, but I will be working on it so that it will be better accessible. I read some more God Slaying Blade Works, but mainly focused on Desperately Seeking Ranma. The only new chapter for today was from Mauling Snarks.

Because I was busy with life, I didn’t read much else today. Therefore, I’ll talk about Shokugeki no Soma (or as the American’s have renamed it, Food Wars!). It’s about Soma Yukihara, a teenager who loves cooking and wants to surpass his father and take over the family restaurant. However, when his father leaves to travel the world, he sends his son to an elite culinary school called, Totsuki Saryo Culinary Institute. They only take the best and he does get in, but the school has an interesting practice, Shokugeki (or Food War). It’s a contest between people where both sides put have agreed to something happening if they lose (like giving the other person their position of power within the academy or agreeing to let a club continue instead of disbanding it). Watch how Soma and his friends learn more about how to cook while dealing with the challenges in their way. It’s fun and I need to catch up on it. It started off as a manga, but now has 3 anime seasons.

Nothing more today, so I’ll end this part here.

Saturday

I read a bit more God Slaying Blade Works, but again was mostly Desperately Seeking Ranma. The new chapters for today were: Stand Together and Smile (the last one of this story, with a maybe sequel in the future), Relic of the Future, Ashes to Flame, Stark Imprint and Heroes Assemble! I didn’t read much else, but I did watch parts of a few animes.

The first one was the first half of the first season of Initial D. Initial D (for initial drift) is an anime/manga about street racing by Shuichi Shigeno. It’s about Takumi (Tak) Fujiwara, who has been delivering tofu from his dad’s shop to hotels and other places on the other side of the mountain nearby every day before sunrise. He has become very good at driving it with his father’s (unbeknownst to him) subtle training. This has led him to not care very much about driving or racing, to his friends at the gas station he works at horror. One of his friends is on the local street racing team, which is challenged to a downhill race. Upon hearing that Tak’s father was once a famous street racers, he is asked to do the race. He instead sends Tak in his Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE86) with a promise that if he wins, he can take the car for a date with a full tank of gas. He wins, but then becomes more involved in the street-racing world.   It’s a good anime and manga. It’s finished now with 719 chapters in the manga, 5 anime seasons, three movies and several OVAs.

The second one was a few episodes of Gurren Lagann. Gurren Lagann is one of the best ‘manly’ mecha animes around. It’s about Simon and Kamina, two humans, who, like the rest of their species, are forced to live in underground villages in a dystopian future by the Spiral King, Lordgenome. They dream of going to the surface and eventually get the chance to with a mecha named Lagann and a hot girl named Yoko. They eventually form Gurren Lagann, a team to free the world of the rule of Lordgenome and the beast men. It’s got 27 episodes that will make you laugh and cry, along with make you want to shout, “Who the hell do you think I am!”

I also heard that someone stole the KHIII game from a shipping company and that’s they’re playing and selling copies. I’m not happy with that for multiple reasons, but I’m not gonna pay attention to any information that’s not verified from the makers. Looking forward to the last trailer on Tuesday though. That’s it for now; tomorrow’s only a line away!

Sunday

Today was once again full of Desperately Seeking Ranma, with maybe a chapter of God Slaying Blade Works. The new chapters today were: The Unseen Hunt, Prime Directive: Hero and Tsunami. I didn’t do much else except for watching someone play through to where the Japanese version of KHUx (KH Unchained x) is (about 35 ‘episodes’ ahead) and learned what Larxene’s real name is (but I’m not gonna say).

I also read a fanfiction by VFSNAKE called ‘Naruto of the Saiyans.’ It has Bardock ending up on the Kyubi’s back instead of dying and getting sealed into Naruto as well. He and the Kyubi work together to change Naruto into a Saiyan and their work comes together when Orochimaru seals Naruto’s seal in the Forest of Death. When his teammates leave him for dead, he comes back better than even and plans to never be a pawn again. It has eight chapters currently and is infrequently updated.

R Rated Content

There are sexual situations, but no actual sex. This is currently limited to the omakes at the end of the chapters, but may come into the story itself later on.

Because I don’t have anything else, I’ll talk about Full Metal Panic! Full Metal Panic! is a light novel turned anime by Shoji Gatoh. It’s about a former child soldier, now a part of an anti-terrorist private military organization (Mithril), named Sousuke Sagara. He’s sent to Japan to protect a high school girl named Kaname Chidori, along with his teammates Kurz Weber and Melissa Mao. Why she’s being protected and who’s targeting her are unknowns to them.

Sousuke is sent to her school, but as he has never been in a ‘normal’ situation, he is considered a military nut and Kaname is very annoyed that he keeps trying to protect her. Eventually, the enemy attacks and everything is revealed, including the reason why bipedal machines even exist in a world that is not that different from our own. It’s a good series with 23 novels and 4 anime series (including one that’s just for silliness and is awesome called Fumoffu, the name is eventually explained).

Have a great day and I’ll see everyone when I post tomorrow!

Monday

Today was yet again full of Desperately Seeking Ranma, but the end is in sight. The new chapters for today were: Move On: Tales of Marinette & Adrien, Black Sky (there is going to be a full week of updates! Sqweee! [yes, I’m excited, so what?]), Mauling Snarks, Celestial Worm and Death March (Yay!). There was also the early release of the last KHIII trailer! Which can be found here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz1w_uW3lSE.  There’s so much info and WTF in it, I don’t know what to think. Still looking forward to Jan 29th though.

I watched the first few episodes of Death Parade, but it’s not really catching my interest. I really like the opening theme, but the series just seems kinda meh to me. It’s about how if two people die at the same time, instead of just being judged, they are sent to Decim at the Quindecim bar to play a game to discover where their souls belong (reincarnation or the void). A female human with no name works as his assistant, learning how to judge human souls, while helping Decim learn how to read into the emotions behind the actions.

That’s a wrap for today, looking forward to posting on Thursday! I may take off for Christmas after that, but I don’t know yet. I’ll mention it next time if I decide to. See you then!

It’s a Death March Weekend!

Friday

Today (and most of this weekend, at least) I’ll be rereading and then catching up with the web novel I mentioned last post, Death March. I got the 43rd part of the 10th act before I started writing this post. The new chapters today are – Ashes to Flame, Tsunami, and Mauling Snarks.

There was also a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned yet, ‘Devil Ninja’ by The Engulfing Silence. It’s a crossover between Naruto and High School DxD, where Naruto ends up in the DxD world with no chakra. He ends up at Kuoh Academy a month before the start of DxD, how will his being there change things? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9775478/1/Devil-Ninja.

R Rated Content

Yeah, so this one does have sex and sexual situations in it. Just in case anyone doesn’t want to read that stuff (or is underage).

R Rated Content

The extra story I’ll talk about today is one I mentioned earlier, “The Prince of Tennis” (it was when I was talking about the abundance (and variety) of sports manga/anime. The Prince of Tennis is a story by Takashi Konomi about a young tennis prodigy named Ryoma Echizen who just returned from America with his family. He ends up at Seishun Academy (it’s a middle school) and joins its strong tennis team. After beating some of his seniors, he ends up on the team’s regulars. They work together to try and get to and win the National Middle School Tennis Championship. However Ryoma also wants to get better to win against his Dad (who’s much better than him). It’s an older series, but it’s still popular. The original series ran for 42 manga volumes and had 178 episodes. It has a sequel ongoing called “New Prince of Tennis” which is about after the Nationals and onto the Worlds. I recommend this one very much.

Nothing more today, see everyone tomorrow!

Saturday

Once again, I read more Death March and got to near the middle of the 13th act at part 20. The new chapters for today were Reincarnation Roulette, Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! There was really nothing else today, so onto my replacement story, next paragraph!

I’ll go more in-depth for another story I mentioned about when I talked about sports, “Eyeshield 21” by Riichiro Inagaki. It’s about Sena Kobayakawa, a high school freshman at Deimon High who is a frequent gopher for bullies. His childhood friend, Mamori, protects him, but he finds it embarrassing. The only thing he has going for him is his speed. The devil captain and quarterback of the ‘American Football’ club (yeah, so looked this up and it turns out that this and football of the rest of the world have the same base sport that split when football decided to not use hands. Soccer was a slang term for “Association Football” (no hands) in Europe, but is now only used in North America. Don’t know why “Rugby Football” decided to drop ‘Rugby’, but now there are two footballs. Who knew), Hiruma sees him and tricks him into becoming the third member of the team (along with Kurita, a lineman) as the running back (they borrow members from other teams until they eventually get a full roster). To hide his identity, Sena pretends to be the manager and during the games wears a tinted Eyeshield and has the number 21 (thus Eyeshield 21). Sena gains confidence and grows as they strive to get to the Christmas Bowl. This is another oldie, but goodie. It has 37 manga volumes and 145 anime episodes.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Love Ya, Tomorrow. You’re Only a Day Away!

Sunday

I only got to the end of part 13 of Death March today, but that’s because I reread (and caught up on) Deku: The Golden Saiyan Hero of Hope that had a new chapter today. The other new chapters were from An Unseen Hunt and an omake for Taylor Varga. Once more I read nothing else new, so its time for the talk about another series!

This time is “Cross Game” a baseball series by Mitsuru Adachi, who has written several other baseball and sport series. Cross Game is about Ko Kitamura, who is a great pitcher. His childhood friend, Wakuba Tsukishima (the second daughter in the family), treats him as her boyfriend and wants him and her sister Aoba (the third daughter) to get along. Her last dream she relays to them before she dies in an accident while they’re in elementary school is for them (Ko and Aoba) to go to Koshien (the high school baseball championship) together. He eventually joins the baseball team in high school and she becomes the manager because she can’t join the team (even though she hates him, mostly). They overcome the team’s difficulties and work toward their goal of making that dream come true. It’s a sweet story, though it has a sad beginning. It has 17 volume of manga and 50 anime episodes (I really love the opening and closing themes!). I very much hope you read/watch this one.

See everyone when I post tomorrow! (also did anyone else see the new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 with part of the new opening theme! It looks and sounds great, though I’m sad we won’t be able to hear the full version unless we pre-order/get the album and even then not until it comes out on Jan 18 a week before the game comes out).

Monday

So today I got to part 20 of act 15 (the middle of it) of Death March. There are only 16 acts currently, but it (again currently) has 78 parts and an intermission. I may finish tomorrow, but I should be finished on Wednesday at the latest. The new chapters today are Mauling Snarks and How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.

There was a new chapter for a story from ack1308 called, ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ It’s a Worm fic where Danny and his wife Annette were a hitman team called Dark. They stopped after Taylor was born, but when Taylor is put in the locker and her favored dog (only in this fic) is stolen, he dons his former identity to get back the dog and get revenge for his daughter. It only had 3 chapters (and is infrequently updated), but it has an interesting beginning. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11811377/1/Are-You-Afraid-of-the-Dark.

For today’s new series, I’ll take a break from the sports and Japanese stories. “The Hardy Boys” by several people under the pen name Franklin W. Dixon is an older children’s mystery series about brothers Frank and Joe Hardy. They’re teenagers who are amateur detectives, following after their father who is also one. They usually assist their father or stumble onto something with his cases. The original series was started in 1927, but were revised in 1959 to be less racist and simpler. It ran until 2005, when “Undercover Brothers” started. That ran until 2012 and “The Hardy Boys Adventures” started in 2013. The original series has 190 books (though some only consider the first 58 to be ‘canon’). It’s a fun series for your kids, I should know I read some when I was young!

See you, my readers, when I post on Thursday!

An Irregular and Meltan Weekend (with some other things mixed in)

Friday

Today I finished The Irregular at Magic High School book 18 and read book 19 and read some more of Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Mauling Snarks, Ashes to Flame and History’s Strongest Disciple Again? (the one I beta read). I also read some more sakurademonalchemist.

The first new one (again for me, not overall) was ‘Swords of a Devil.’ It’s a Type Moon Universe and High School DxD crossover where Shirou is a devil and is kidnapped by the Church after he is adopted.   It was for the Holy Swords project that Kiba was a part of and it tempers his ‘saving people’ thing. Watch as he changes things, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11974930/1/Swords-of-a-Devil.

The other new one was ‘Queen of the Grimm.’ It’s a Once Upon a Time and Grimm crossover. Grimm is a TV Series about Nick Burkhardt who is a Grimm. A Grimm can see the true form of Wesen, which are part human and part animal. He defends his city from evil Wesen and helps those in trouble.

The story has Regina leaving Emma in charge of the town in order to get away from the Charmings and her mother. She ends up in Portland, OR and meets Nick. She is also a Grimm and helps him and others out. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11555943/1/Queen-of-the-Grimm.

I also watched the first few episodes of “Storage Wars: Northern Treasures.” It was okay, but the original is so much better. There’s way too much animosity and bad mouthing in this one. In the original, while they were competing, it was more of a friendly rivalry most of the time. In this one, they just seem to hate each other. I wouldn’t really recommend it, personally.

Nothing more for today, see you tomorrow.

Saturday

Today, I read more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Relic of the Future, Harry Potter and the Stargate and Heroes Assemble! and Black Sky (Yay, it’s back. Though it’s only sporadically for now). Other than that I watched some more episodes of The Irregular at Magic High School. It was kinda a slow day.

I’ll talk about the Artemis Fowl series. It’s an 8 book series about Artemis Fowl, a genius middle school student who wants to make back the money his family had lost. He decides to do this by stealing from the fairies, who he had found out were real. He kidnaps a LEPRecon (Lower Elements Police, Recon division, because they live underground) Captain, Holly Short. The first book has him against LEPRecon, but they’re on sort of the same side after that. I like the series a lot and am looking forward to the movie I heard about next year.

Hope to have more tomorrow!

Sunday

Today was more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat and episode of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for The Unseen Hunt and two short omakes for Taylor Varga. Other than that I worked on the Let’s Go, Meltan PoGo tasks and finally got to the fifth set with needing to do 10 raids tomorrow to complete it and a few chapters of Mists of a Dawning Sky.

Since I, once again, have very little, I’ll talk about the Outlander series. Outlander is a book series about Claire Randall who is having a second honeymoon with her husband Frank (after WWI) in Scotland. She goes through a stone circle and ends up in 1743 and gets caught up in the Scots revolt of the time. She meets Jamie Fraser and has to make a decision: try and get back to her time or live her life here. There are eight books out now with at least one more on the way. I like this book series and the TV series follows it well (overly so in some cases).

R Rated Content

There is sex in the series, but the main warning I’ll give is that there is a graphic scene in both the book and TV series where there is a male raping another male. Just to give fair warning.

That’s it for today, see everyone where I post tomorrow.

Monday

Today, I finished rereading Mists of the Dawning Sky, finished watching the first (and currently only) season of The Irregular at Magic High School and completed the Let’s Go, Meltan quests (even though I already had more than a few Meltans from sending Pokémon to Let’s Go). There were new chapters for Reincarnation Roulette, Mauling Snarks and Seerking’s Asylum. I read some more sakurademonalchemist again.

I reread their story, ‘Flames of the Black Cat,’ which is a Black Cat and KHR crossover. Black Cat is about a Sweeper (bounty hunter) named Train Heartnet who is a former member of an assassination organization called Chronos. He and his companions have to fight against Chronos and later his former best friend’s (who killed his girlfriend for changing him from an assassin) organization. I like both the anime and manga and definitely recommend it.

The story has Train reincarnating as female Tsuna, who has a male twin. Realizing he/she’ll be in a bad situation later, Train leaves and becomes a hit woman (though she hides her gender). Watch as she changes the plan of the Vongola just by existing and finds a few more reincarnated friends, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12918478/1/Flames-of-the-Black-Cat.

The other story I reread was ‘Fated Bonds,’ which is a Fate/Stay Night and Naruto crossover. It has Archer Emiya summoned along with the Shinigami. He leads a life as a blacksmith in Konoha until he finds his ‘summoner’ a young Naruto. He takes Naruto in and helps change Sasuke’s fate. Find out how by following this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12288979/1/Fated-Bonds.

Finally, I read ‘The Witch of 221b Baker Street,’ which is a Sherlock and Harry Potter crossover. It has Female Harry becoming disillusioned by the magical world after 4th year and getting away rather than being used. She becomes Joanne Watson and ends up as Sherlock’s roommate. You can find the story, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12245680/1/The-Witch-of-221b-Baker-Street.

There was also a new chapter for a story by ack1308 called ‘Another Way.’ It’s a Worm story where Amy (or Amelia in this case) is never taken from her father (because he isn’t captured). She grows up as a supervillain’s daughter and it changes her. Read how by following this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11481821/1/Another-Way.

Sherlock is a 3 episode per season, British TV series that has Sherlock in modern London. It’s okay, but has a habit of leaving the audience at a cliffhanger for a while (There was some time between season 1 and 2 if I remember correctly).

There was also a new chapter of a story by Kenichi618 called ‘Shinobi of the High Seas.’ It’s a Naruto and One Piece crossover where Naruto is immortal and after some time looking after the Elemental Nations, (he leaves Konoha to be a protector of the EN when he finds out he’s immortal. He never had a family with Hinata) he decides to see the rest of the world. He eventually meets Luffy early on his (Luffy’s) journey and hangs out with him for a while. He gets his own ship and crew. Find out how he interacts with the One Piece world here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6314806/1/Shinobi-of-the-High-Seas.

I’m writing this before I head out to a showing of the new Pokémon movie – “The Power of Us” and will write a little about it when I get back before I post this. Which will be here –

I really liked it, the movie did a good job of mixing Pokémon and real world problems everyone has. One of the main ones, and relevant to most people, is that lies only cause problems, not solve them. Lies cause a lot of the problems in the movie that could have easily been avoided otherwise. I would definitely recommend The Power of Us. It’s showing in select theaters on the 28th and the 2nd. There still might be tickets left if you want to see it (there were less than 10 people including me in the theater tonight). Hope you like it too!

Thanks for reading and see everyone on Thursday!

Happy Turkey Day!! (Thanksgiving)

Tuesday

Today, I finished Uzumaki Naruko: To the Victor, the Spoils. There was only a new chapter for Revenant. Other than watching the first ten episodes of the The Irregular at Magic High Shcool, I mostly played PoGo, KHUx and Fate/GO. I was mostly busy with relatives and Thanksgiving prep.

In recompense, I’ll talk about the Inkworld Trilogy. It starts with the first book, Inkheart. It’s about a father (Mortimer or Mo), who repairs old books and his daughter (Meggie) who have a special ability, to read people and characters into and out of books. When she was little, her father accidentally read her mother into the book ‘Inkheart’ and brought out the main villain, some of his goons and Dustfinger, a fire-eater. Now, the villain wants to use their abilities to bring his strongest allies to this world. How will they get out of this? You can find out in Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath. I really love this trilogy because it tries to answer an interesting question; does a story really end when the book ends?

Hope I’ll have more for the rest of the days this week, but with Thanksgiving; who knows?

Wednesday

There wasn’t much again today, but at least there’s more than yesterday. There were new chapters for Burning Ice, Harry Potter and the Stargate, Mending the Knots, and Heroes Assemble! Played more PoGo, KHUx and Fate/GO (end of the replay of the former Christmas event).

Seerking is finally back and with the last of their main stories (that I might have mentioned or not, he hasn’t posted an actual chapter for it since the week before I started the blog. Though he might have posted an interlude that I talked about. Really, really need to make that list), ‘Code Geass: The Prepared Rebellion.’ It’s a Code Geass story that has Lelouch actually planning to rebellion (and working out rather than being a lazy bum). He takes other people into consideration and has better connections with people. Things happen differently, but his goal is still the same; to get overthrow his father and find out who killed his mother. Here’s the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10724053/1/Code-Geass-The-Prepared-Rebellion-V2.

R Rated Content

This is a harem story and there are sex scenes, but because of people being people, those scenes are on his Archive of Our Own account under the same name.

R Rated Content

The family and I went to go see the new Grinch movie tonight and I have to say I liked it a lot. The songs were good in my opinion and I liked that they gave the all the characters a better back-story. I very much enjoyed the organ that the Grinch had in his cave. All in all, I would recommend people to go see it. It’s not just a movie for young kids, all ages would like it (in my opinion, considering there were essentially three generations of my family that liked it).

Finally I reread another of sakurademonalchemist’s stories, ‘Fiery Rebirth.’ It’s a Harry Potter and KHR story where Rokudo Mokuro is Harry. Petunia sold him to the Estranio family when he was young and he gained the ability to transform into a Pheonix and have a burning day (turning him into a young kid with no memories for a few weeks). He activates this ability to get his body back from the First Generations’ Mist Guardian (Daemon Spade) and turns them both into babies. This causes a ripple effect that ends them up in England. Here’s the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13014149/1/Fiery-Rebirth.

That’s it for today. See everyone when I post tomorrow!

Thursday

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone who celebrates it (cause I know people from all around the world read this blog) had a happy day with lots of food and their loved ones! Moving on, because I was not on the cooking crew, I was able to read more today, even if most of it was from sakurademonalchemist. There were new chapters for How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk, Taylor Varga (finally!) and Reincarnation Roulette.

The first of the ones I reread (from sakurademonalchemist) was ‘Elemental Sky.’ It’s a KHR and Naruto crossover with the Female Tsuna character being the Sand Sibling’s cousin on their mom’s side through Nana. When she goes to visit she is able to help Gaara with his issues. She is also able to help some Konoha ninjas (including our favorite blonde ninja and his quiet stalker [I mean, fellow shinobi]). In exchange they help her deal with her issues in her hometown and with other things. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13036342/1/Elemental-Sky.

The second one I reread was ‘Sunshine.’ It’s a Harry Potter and KHR crossover where Renatto (Reborn as a young kid) becomes a young female Harry’s penpal. They keep in contact until he tells him how to deal with a certain Toad. She runs away after and she becomes his Sky. She causes many changes and most of them are for the better! It can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12354356/1/Sunshine.

I also read some stories I haven’t read from them, with the first being ‘Golden King of Zero.’ It’s a Familiar of Zero and Type Moon universe crossover, with Louise summoning Ko Gil (Kid Gilgamesh, who is better liked) as her familiar. Ko Gil is surprised and (rightly) blames the old Vampire Troll for his problems. What will happen with him as the Gandalfr? Find out on the other side of this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11944888/1/Golden-King-of-Zero.

The second was ‘Empathy,’ which is a Harry Potter and Scorpion crossover. Scorpion is an American TV show about a group of genii who work for the government (sometimes) to solve issues other’s can’t. They’re lead by Walter, who is the smartest of them all. Paige (who’s son, Ralph, is also a genius) helps them understand other people and translates them to others. I like this show, even if I’m behind on it, so I would recommend it.

Empathy has Harry being adopted as Adrian O’Brien and is Walter’s brother. He is an empath and joins the team slightly before the show after being released from confinement in the hospital in the wizarding world (because they thought he was too powerful). He helps the team with their missions and solves problems that come up. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11903581/1/Empathy.

Next is ‘Moonlight Star,’ which is a Sailor Moon and Nanoha crossover. It has Chibiusa ending up back in time during the events of the first season. She befriends the main character of the series and helps solve things, changing the future (or at least it will). The story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11784932/1/Moonlight-Star.

The last one was ‘Devil of the Forgotten.’ It’s a Harry Potter and High School DxD (it’s non-M rated) where the female Harry is Rias’ missing sister. She shows up right before the story started with her peerage (to hard to explain quickly, other than it also mixes Hellsing). She changes many things and tries to save her sister from her fate. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11830822/1/Devil-of-the-Forgotten.

Finally, I also started rereading a story by anothvortex called ‘Escape from the Hokage’s Hat.’ It’s another Naruto is kicked out after he retrieves Sasuke back, but this one has Tsunade, Shizune and Hinata joining him. It’s an interesting story and is about 42 chapters long, but hasn’t been updated since 2012 so I don’t think it will be finished. If you can overcome that, the link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4991314/1/Escape-from-the-Hokage-s-Hat.

Nothing more, other than that I’m full of food. See everyone on Monday!

Happy Veterans Day!

Friday

Today I finished Run With You and read the sixth through eighth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess, double jeu, Ashes to Flame, and Mauling Snarks. Sadly this is all I read today, but I did watch some more Doctor Who TV Movies.

The first was called “The Waters of Mars.” It has the 10th Doctor ending up with the crew of the first human Mars’ team. He knows from history that something bad happens the day he shows up. Thus he is faced with the choice to leave and let things happen or interfere and change things.

Next was both parts of “End of Time.” It has the Ood (yes, there is a species called the Ood and yes, and odd joke was made in their first episode), telling the Doctor that something that his old friend/enemy The Master was going to be revived. He rushes back and faces The Master and an unexpected enemy. This is also the last time the 10th Doctor is the main character. The 11th Doctor is regenerated into at the end of Part 2. The !0th’s last words are still very sad.

Since I don’t have anything else new, I’ll end this for today!

Saturday

Today, I read the ninth through eleventh novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. The new chapters today were for: Harry Potter and the Stargate, Another Fine Mess, Relic of the Future, Stand Together and Smile, Heroes Assemble!, and Tsunami. I actually read some stories I haven’t mentioned yet, so lets get to it!

First was starting to reread the first in the series ‘Stars Aligned’ called ‘An Unexpected Christmas Miracle’ by batistaangel15. It’s a Doctor Who fic about the 10th Doctor and Rose going to a Christmas planet before the battle of Canary Wharf. It’s fun and fluffy and the rest of the series happens when Rose isn’t lost to another universe. Haven’t finished cause I’m reading other things. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10892469/1/An-Unexpected-Christmas-Miracle.

I also read some chapters from the Type Moon side crossover manga “All Around Type Moon – Ahnenerbe no Nichijou.’ I found it by looking for a story where kaleid Illya meets original Illya. It’s a bunch of silly crossovers between Type Moon characters at a café called Ahnenerbe. I read long enough to find the chapter I was looking for (the chapters are linked, but not by very much.

I also got an update for a story named ‘Restart’ by Masseffect-TxS. It’s an RWBY story that has Jaune being one of the last humans and going up against the King of Grimm. When he wins at the cost of his life, he ends up waking up as he is being born. What will he do to make sure what happens in his first lifetime doesn’t happen again? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11663620/1/Restart. It was just the author saying that they edited the first few chapters based on something just released in a new episode of Season 6 (I’m way behind, need to watch and catch up sometime).

I also watched the first two episodes of Season 5 of Doctor Who. I officially met the 11th Doctor and his new companion, Amelia (Amy) Pond (and his to-be companion Rory Williams). After meeting Amelia when she was young (after he crashes into her garden), he promises to help her with something when he gets back in 20 mins. However, he comes back twelve years later and she’s not happy to see him. After helping her out he invites her to come with him. I’m looking forward to watching more later!

It was also the Community Day for Pokémon Go and Cyndaquil was the focus today. I only walked for 50 mins because of issues with logging in and that a memorial service for one of my church members was in the middle of it. She was a great woman and will be dearly missed. I did get two shinnies and that’s enough for me.

That’s it for today, see everyone tomorrow!

Sunday

Today, I read the twelfth and thirteenth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School and some more chapters of An Unexpected Christmas Miracle. There were new chapters for: The Unseen Hunt, SAO: The Eroge and Seerking’s Asylum. I also reread Flames of the Night Sky.

I reread parts of the second story in the ‘Reinforced’ series by Lupine Horror. The first one is called ‘Reinforced Magic’ and it’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Harry Potter. At the end of the second season of Lyrical Nanoha (called A’s) a character named Reinforce is destroyed to stop a threat. However instead of being destroyed, she ends up in front of a young Harry Potter who just had acid poured on half his face. She merges with him to help him and stays with him while teaching him her magic. When they end up at Hogwarts, things really get interesting. The link to the story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10181533/1/Reinforced-Magic. The second one (the one I read) is called ‘Reinforced Chamber’ and deals with Harry’s second year and meeting the rest of the Lyrical Nanoha crew. This one can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10242368/1/Reinforced-Chamber. The author is still working on the third story at this time.

I spent most of the afternoon going around my town looking for a Pokéstop that had the task for a new Pokémon this month, nincada. I spent several hours doing it, but couldn’t find one. When I posted this to the GroupMe for the area, I was informed where one was not far from where I had been searching. … Needless to say I got it and caught the Pokémon. Sadly, last night the main GroupMe group for PoGo in my area semi-imploded and now there are more groups based on the factions. As I am neutral (if unhappy at being kicked out of a side group because of one of the instigators getting someone to add them and then they kicked everyone out. Luckly, they couldn’t kick out the owner and he kicked them out and reinstated us), I’m in all groups (except the Valor and Mystic ones, cause I’m Instinct. Not that I really care, honestly, it’s just a game) and hopefully things will get better.

Wow, these posts are really short this weekend, right? Tomorrow I’ll post, so see you then!

Monday

I read only the fourteenth novel of The Irregular at Magic High School today. I also re-watched episodes 8 to 10 of GATE because I wanted to re-watch Rory Mercury’s verbal beat down of the Japanese Senate representative. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess (which lead me to the previous sentence), Mauling Snarks and Tsunami.

I also read/reread some more sakurademonalchemist stories. The first one I started rereading was called ‘Naruto Emiya.’ It’s a crossover between Naruto and the Fate part of the Type Moon universe (or Natsu-verse). It has Zelretch (the immortal troll) finding Naruto almost dead in Konoha (when he was young, like 8) and sends him to Kiritsugu soon after Illya is born. Being raised with the Einzberns and training under earlier mentioned immortal troll, he changes many things. Find out more here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10005938/1/Naruto-Emiya.

Another one I reread was ‘Sorcellerie Miraculeuse.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Ladybug and Cat Noir crossover. Female Harry leaves Britain after the Triwizard Tournaments with Fleur’s families help. She ends up in class with the Miraculous crew and becomes Ladybug instead of Marinette. This changes many things. Here’s the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12050723/1/Sorcellerie-Miraculeuse.

Finally, I read ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ for the first time (Sadly nothing to do with The Greatest American Hero series even though the title is based off the theme song). It’s a Supernatural and Fate/Zero crossover. After season 2, Sam goes to Fuyuki to participate in a tournament to try and save his brother from Hell. However, he only gets a shade of a hero. Going anyway changes many things; find out what they are (even though it’s unfinished) here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12188071/1/On-a-Wing-and-a-Prayer.

I got a new chapter for a story called ‘Moving On: Tales of Marinette & Adrien’ by HawkwardDolphin. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir story about Marinette thinking of moving on from Adrien and Chat Noir (what he’s called in the story) telling her to do what makes her happy. Things are a mess because of the ‘Love Square’ (only technically a square, but that’s what fans call it). Read what happens, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11709578/1/Move-On-Tales-of-Marinette-Adrien.

I also started reading a story called ‘My Name is Harry Potter’ by megamatt09. It’s a crossover between the DC universe and Harry Potter. Harry is an auror who sees something he shouldn’t have and is thrown through the Veil. But he survives and plots how to get revenge with the League of Assassins. Watch how he carves a new life for himself, here – https://archiveofourown.org/works/4002850.

R-rated Content

So I’m just gonna flat out say it, I can only think of a few of megamatt09’s stories that are not more than liberally filled with sex scenes. In fact, a few of his stories are just a collection of one shots of Harry or Spiderman having sex with different women. I read them for the story, not the sex. However I’m also an adult, so I would hope that any underage people reading this will not follow the link. This one does have sex, but it doesn’t ever become as prominent as his other stories and starts after a few chapters. Fair warning.

R-rated Content

Today was also a very sad day for Marvel fans with the passing of The Legend – Stan Lee. He was the creator of some of our favorite Marvel heroes, including Spiderman and the X-Men. His cameos in the MCU will be missed and I look forward to him hopefully being in at least the Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 movies.

See everyone of Thursday, which will be the day before Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee comes out! See everyone then! (Posted at Midnight)

The Weekend of the Who-verse

Friday

I finished An Accidental Bond and reread the last chapter of Pick Up the Pieces and Rebuild. There were new chapters for Seerking’s Asylum (2 chapters), Ashes to Flame, Mauling Snarks, Cambion and Another Fine Mess. I also reread some of sakurademonalchemists fics.

The first was ‘Iron Maiden,’ which is a Harry Potter and Iron Man crossover. It has a female Harry running away after sixth year and getting an internship under Tony. She does this because he is her real father and it takes a while for that to come out. It’s interesting and I like it, just as before wishing they worked to complete more of their fics. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12967300/1/Iron-Maiden.

The second was ‘Fillies and Colts,’ which is a Harry Potter and KHR crossover. It has Dino Chaivarone being the first-born son of Lily Evans (who married into the Chaivarone). She was lured back because of the war and ‘lost’ her memory (read, James wanted her, so he caused her to forget her life in Italy) and ‘married’ James (she was already married so it didn’t take). When Dino goes to find out what happened, he finds his young half-sister and takes her back with him. Find out more here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12983284/1/Fillies-and-Colts.

The next one, ‘Paranormal Investigator Squad,’ was a new one that came out on Halloween. There’s only one chapter so far, but it’s a KHR where Tsuna and his mother’s family are spiritualists and Tsuna can see ghosts. This changes many things, which you can find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13107803/1/Paranormal-Investigator-Squad.

The last one (from sakurademonalchemist and also a new one), is called ‘It’s in the Cards.’ It’s a KHR and Card Captor Sakura (CCS) fic where a female Tsuna finds the Clow book and becomes the Card Captor. There is a character from CCS, Syaoran, but that’s it other than Kero (so far at least). The fic can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13106363/1/It-s-in-the-Cards.

The last fanfic is ‘Overservations of a Wannabe Kunoichi’ by Quatermass. It’s a Naruto fic where Sakura decides to investigate things while in the academy and finds Naruto’s secret. I haven’t read far, but it looks sort of interesting. Here is the fic – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11483679/1/Observations-of-a-Wannabe-Kunoichi.

I also watch the Christmas special that started off the Sarah Jane Adventures, “Invasion of the Bane.” It’s about a former companion of The Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith, and her teenage companions helping to save the earth and the people on it from aliens. It’s fairy interesting, but I’m only watching it because it’s next on the list to watch in the whole Doctor Who continuity.

That’s it for today!! See you on the next line!

Saturday

I started rereading Black Sky from about 100 chapters from the current chapter. There were also new chapters for Harry Potter and the Stargate, Relic of the Future, Tsunami, It’s in the Cards, Queen of the Seas, Heroes Assemble!, Cambion and Another Fine Mess. I spent the rest of the day watching shows from the Doctor Who continuity.

I watched the first season of The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was okay, but it honestly really see it as just another spin-off just to make money. It had only 10 episodes, with every story being two episodes long.

I also watched the Christmas special in between seasons three and four of Doctor Who called, ‘Voyage of the Damned.’ It has The Doctor finding himself aboard an alien cruise liner called ‘Titanic,’ “Because it’s the most famous ship name on Earth,” the crew says. Lol, yeah, but not for good reasons. Of course, with The Doctor and a ship named Titanic, thing are obviously going to go wrong. It was interesting and The Doctor got to say ‘Allons-y Alonso’ (which was mentioned at the end of season two). I also watched the first few episodes of the fourth season and was interested to see Donna back and see the 12th Doctor’s actor in one of the episodes (just as a cast member, still one more Doctor and several seasons he even learned he would be The Doctor).

I then started watching the second season of Torchwood. I actually like Torchwood. The cast actually feels real (unlike the kind of unrealistic relationships in Adventures) and you can empathize with them. Things are starting to go down and I wonder how many members will be there at the end?

Nothing more today, tomorrow’s only a line away!

Sunday

I reread some more Black Sky and slept a lot today because my dog woke me up because of a storm again last night. There was only an omake from Taylor Varga today to placate those wanting a new chapter. No other new chapters, but I did watch more from the Doctor Who continuity.

I finished Torchwood season two and wow is it a sad overall story. I’m not going to talk about it (ya know, spoilers wink), but so many things culminated at the end that it was kind in your face (especially with Gray). How to pick up from that I don’t know (well, Jack knows, sadly), but it’s not something to look forward to.

I also finished the fourth season of Doctor Who and got to see all the shows combine for the last storyline of the season (even some older characters!) I was sad that Donna was only a companion for a season like Martha was. However we also meet River Song for the ‘first’ time (she knows more than that, but ya know spoilers).

I watched the first two episodes (one story) of the second season of The Sarah Jane Adventures and I’m already less interested than the last season. Also, the kind of main female teenage character (who admittedly was not in the season four Doctor Who conclusion) leaving the show after one storyline is kinda sad (for the show, not sad, sad).

That’s it for today, hopefully there will be more tomorrow!

Monday

Once again I reread more Black Sky, but I may finish tomorrow! There were new chapters for Tsunami and Mauling Snarks, but that was it. I spent most of the day studying and playing KHUx and Fate/GO.

There was a new chapter from ‘Jaune Ryu-Long, the Dragon Contractor’ by azndrgn. It’s a RWBY fic where Jaune is kicked out of Arc family; only to find out he can use dragon powers and summon them. The only downside is that he has to marry six women (RWBY, Pyrrha and another side character). This is the 60th chapter and it’s the first update in a while (at least almost three months because I haven’t mentioned it here). It’s good and the first fic I read from this author. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12326537/1/Jaune-Ryu-Long-the-Dragon-Contractor.

The only other update I got was from an older story, ‘double jue’ by kurohaha. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir story where Cat Noir is shot on a patrol and finds his way onto Marinette’s balcony. She come home (from a family event) and finds and helps him, this leads to them getting to know each other better. It update was just a note saying they don’t know if it’s going to continue or not. There are sixteen chapters to read, but know that the story might not continue. The story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11835222/1/double-jeu.

Since there is nothing else for today (and I have some time), I’ll talk about The Irregular at Magic High School. It’s a Japanese light novel turned anime that I’m a fan of. The story is about Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba going to a magic high school. Magic is technology based and has a science behind it. While the older of the two ‘siblings’ Tatsuya is in the Course 2, while Miyuki is in Course 1. Tatsuya is also more subservient to Miyuki and things are not as they seem. There are 26 light novels in Japan (there are 9 out in America, so far) with another coming out on the 10th of this month. The anime was only one season and there is an movie (that I didn’t know about until now, it’s a side story that’s not in the light novels) that came out last year. I would recommend it, both the anime and light novels.

While I was looking up stuff about Irregular at Magic High School, I got an email saying that a new chapter of Cambion came out and I read it. That really is it for today and this post, so I’ll see everyone on Thursday. And vote tomorrow if you’re from USA and haven’t yet, I know I will!

Watch Out For Ghouls!

Tuesday

Today’s going to be a bit long, just so you know. Something I didn’t mention yesterday (because I was running out of time) was that the author brown phantom posted a lot. I follow his account so I get updates even for stories I haven’t read. There were a few that I read the new update so I’ll talk about them for now.

Trigger Warning!

‘Keibatsu’ is about a Naruto AU where the Fourth Hokage rapes Kushina to make Naruto. When she’s killed she releases the Kyuubi and after rampaging for her sake, he is sealed into Naruto. The Fourth decides to pretend to die and lead Akatsuki. The leadership (and most of the village) follow his plan and it works until Naruto finds the Third’s journal detailing what has happened and is planed for him. He escapes and takes Hinata (the only one that doesn’t hate him, despite many attempts to force her to) with him. Kyuubi helps and they decide to go against Konoha. Trigger Warning! End

The second one is called ‘Secret Saotomes’ and is a crossover between Ranma 1/2 and an American TV show (that I’ve never seen before) called Secret Saturdays. The Saotomes take the place of the family in the show and are trying to save ‘cryptids’ from the bad guys. It’s okay, but knowing more about the show would be better. Maybe I’ll watch it sometime. The link to the story – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11061520/1/Secret-Saotomes and here’s the link to brown phantom’s FF.net profile page – https://www.fanfiction.net/u/1634435/brown-phantom.

I read new chapters for GATE: Thus the Chosen One Fought There, Master Potter of Kamar-Taj and Seerking’s Asylum (the end of the current short story that he might continue or somebody else might adopt). I also finished rereading Harry Potter – Three to Backstep and reread Enough (the White Angel of Auralon story that ended recently).

There was a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned, called ‘Son of Holmes’ by Syliphen Zora Riddle. It’s a crossover with the British show “Sherlock” and Harry Potter. It has a wizard killing the Dursleys when Harry was young. He kills them thinking that Dudley was Harry (as he was in his cupboard at the time). When Sherlock Holmes (who’s a wizard) investigates, he finds and adopts Harry. It’s not very far in, but it looks interesting. The fic can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12613594/1/Son-of-Holmes.

I also started reading ‘Naruto: Shinobi Institute of Performance Analysis’ by MaxFic. It’s a Naruto fic that has his team going through a program (the one mentioned in the title) that Orochimaru suggested to find out what each shinobi is good at and suggest paths when Kakashi cannot meet them the first day because of an important mission. It’s really good and shows how people’s issues should be dealt with unlike how they’re dealt with in most shows. The link to the fic is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9145129/1/Naruto-Shinobi-Institute-of-Performance-Analysis.

I also started watching Tokyo Ghoul, but decided that reading the manga would be more interesting. I know many people like it and I figured with Halloween coming up, it would be a good one to read. I finished the original manga right before this and will start reading it’s sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re tomorrow.

For those who don’t know, Tokyo Ghoul is about a world where human and ghouls live together. Ghouls eat humans and hide from them (the only way to tell by looking at them is if they want to eat and their black and red eyes are showing). In this Ken Kaneki gets a date with a girl who turns out to be a ghoul that tries to eat him. She is ‘killed’ in an ‘accident’ and a doctor implants parts of her in him to ‘save his life’ (There are reasons those are in quotes that you have to read the story to understand). He wakes up a ghoul and has to deal with his new urges and one eye that turns red when he’s hungry. Watch as he shakes up the world in Tokyo Ghoul!

Other than that, PoGo started their Halloween event. Two new Pokémon (Drifloon and Stunky) and their evolutions are now available in the wild. I got at least one of each and hope to evolve them soon. Also there’s a new 3 part special research to get Spiritomb (stock up on Berries, you’re going to need at least 108 of them just for the first set of three quests).

That’s it for today! See you on the next line tomorrow!

Wednesday

Lol, so I’m obviously a little off today. For a little while, even though I knew that there was a Wednesday only event happening, I thought it was tomorrow and felt I had to rush back home to finish the post. It wasn’t until I got a few lines in below that I realized and laughed at myself.

So I read and finished Toyko Ghoul:re. At first I was a little confused because the main character was different (and I didn’t know him), but I realized that things were fine and that he was someone from the first manga (just very different). (This is as far as I got, btw). I’m not going to spoil things, but Sasaki Haise is someone from the first Tokyo Ghoul (so keep reading even if you’re a little confused). Hope people read both of them!

There were updates for Harry Potter and the Stargate, Mauling Snarks (a PHO interlude), and Heroes Assemble!. There was also Seerking’s new chapter for his next story in the rotation, ‘Worm – Waterworks.’ It’s a Worm story that has Taylor gaining the power to control water, a hydrokinetic to be scientific. This changes a few things. It’s on its eleventh chapter and it’s pretty good (in my humble opinion). This story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11847642/1/Worm-Waterworks.

Other than reading a few more chapters in Fate’s Gamble, I started rereading another of Sinyk’s stories, ‘Angry Harry and the Seven.’ It’s a Harry Potter story that has him with eidetic memory and an angry streak because of the soul fragment in his scar before he gets to Hogwarts. This leads to many changes. It’s also a Harry/Daphine Greengrass story, if that matters to people. The story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9750991/1/Angry-Harry-and-the-Seven.

I caught a few more Pokémon in PoGo and evolved Drifloon, but still need more Stunky’s. Still haven’t used 108 berries (because I used them all in the Community Day), but I’m working on it. Nothing else for today, see you on the actual posting day, Tomorrow!

Thursday

Today was a pretty singular story day. I mostly focused on Harry Potter and the Seven (it has 87 and I’m on chapter 79 now). There was a new chapter from Seerking’s Asylum (a second chapter from the one on chapter 69), but that was it for one’s I’ve mentioned before. There was a new (and final) chapter for ‘Hollow Magic’ by Baleygr.

It’s a Harry Potter and Bleach crossover that has Harry betrayed by his friends and in a plot by Voldemort is sent to Azkaban after the fifth book. Being in the presence of dementors causes him to faint eventually and he awakens Ulquiorra Cifer’s memories and becomes him. He gets out and works to finish his business in England to get to Orihime in Japan. This is a short story (9 chapers) and it’s kinda, meh, in my books. This last chapter is just a ‘things happen and it’s the end’ ending. The author hasn’t read the end of Bleach and just kinda blahs it.   If you want to read it, here’s the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12038508/1/Hollow-Magic

I also evolved Stunky, Buneary and fully evolved the fire started for the fourth gen to get Infernape. This means I’m only missing Torterra, Empoleon (the final evolution of the grass and water starters respectively), Staraptor, Luxio, Luxray (the evolutions of Shinx that you can only get in a raid currently), Spiritomb, Riolu, Lucario, and the two regionals, Chatot and Carnivine of the Gen 4 that are out. I also finally used 108 berries and was able to get to the second set of three tasks. Now I have to catch 108 Pokémon (which for me is much easier than the berries, cause you don’t have to spin stops to catch Pokémon [other than for pokéballs and I have plenty of regular ones] and I already have 27), catch 10 dark types (I only need one more) and spin 8 Pokéstops I haven’t before (which should be fairly simple, just go to a part of the city I don’t go to much and it’ll be easy). Hopefully, I’ll be done tomorrow with it and I’ll catch Spiritomb!

That was the last thing I did today, so I’ll see everyone on Monday! Bye-ni!
