Friday

Today I finished Run With You and read the sixth through eighth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess, double jeu, Ashes to Flame, and Mauling Snarks. Sadly this is all I read today, but I did watch some more Doctor Who TV Movies.

The first was called “The Waters of Mars.” It has the 10^th Doctor ending up with the crew of the first human Mars’ team. He knows from history that something bad happens the day he shows up. Thus he is faced with the choice to leave and let things happen or interfere and change things.

Next was both parts of “End of Time.” It has the Ood (yes, there is a species called the Ood and yes, and odd joke was made in their first episode), telling the Doctor that something that his old friend/enemy The Master was going to be revived. He rushes back and faces The Master and an unexpected enemy. This is also the last time the 10^th Doctor is the main character. The 11^th Doctor is regenerated into at the end of Part 2. The !0^th’s last words are still very sad.

Today, I read the ninth through eleventh novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. The new chapters today were for: Harry Potter and the Stargate, Another Fine Mess, Relic of the Future, Stand Together and Smile, Heroes Assemble!, and Tsunami. I actually read some stories I haven’t mentioned yet, so lets get to it!

First was starting to reread the first in the series ‘Stars Aligned’ called ‘An Unexpected Christmas Miracle’ by batistaangel15. It’s a Doctor Who fic about the 10^th Doctor and Rose going to a Christmas planet before the battle of Canary Wharf. It’s fun and fluffy and the rest of the series happens when Rose isn’t lost to another universe. Haven’t finished cause I’m reading other things. I also read some chapters from the Type Moon side crossover manga “All Around Type Moon – Ahnenerbe no Nichijou.’ I found it by looking for a story where kaleid Illya meets original Illya. It’s a bunch of silly crossovers between Type Moon characters at a café called Ahnenerbe. I read long enough to find the chapter I was looking for (the chapters are linked, but not by very much.

I also got an update for a story named ‘Restart’ by Masseffect-TxS. It’s an RWBY story that has Jaune being one of the last humans and going up against the King of Grimm. When he wins at the cost of his life, he ends up waking up as he is being born. What will he do to make sure what happens in his first lifetime doesn’t happen again? It was just the author saying that they edited the first few chapters based on something just released in a new episode of Season 6 (I’m way behind, need to watch and catch up sometime).

I also watched the first two episodes of Season 5 of Doctor Who. I officially met the 11^th Doctor and his new companion, Amelia (Amy) Pond (and his to-be companion Rory Williams). After meeting Amelia when she was young (after he crashes into her garden), he promises to help her with something when he gets back in 20 mins. However, he comes back twelve years later and she’s not happy to see him. After helping her out he invites her to come with him. I’m looking forward to watching more later!

It was also the Community Day for Pokémon Go and Cyndaquil was the focus today. I only walked for 50 mins because of issues with logging in and that a memorial service for one of my church members was in the middle of it. She was a great woman and will be dearly missed. I did get two shinnies and that’s enough for me.

Today, I read the twelfth and thirteenth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School and some more chapters of An Unexpected Christmas Miracle. There were new chapters for: The Unseen Hunt, SAO: The Eroge and Seerking’s Asylum. I also reread Flames of the Night Sky.

I reread parts of the second story in the ‘Reinforced’ series by Lupine Horror. The first one is called ‘Reinforced Magic’ and it’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Harry Potter. At the end of the second season of Lyrical Nanoha (called A’s) a character named Reinforce is destroyed to stop a threat. However instead of being destroyed, she ends up in front of a young Harry Potter who just had acid poured on half his face. She merges with him to help him and stays with him while teaching him her magic. When they end up at Hogwarts, things really get interesting. The second one (the one I read) is called ‘Reinforced Chamber’ and deals with Harry’s second year and meeting the rest of the Lyrical Nanoha crew. I spent most of the afternoon going around my town looking for a Pokéstop that had the task for a new Pokémon this month, nincada. I spent several hours doing it, but couldn’t find one. When I posted this to the GroupMe for the area, I was informed where one was not far from where I had been searching. … Needless to say I got it and caught the Pokémon. Sadly, last night the main GroupMe group for PoGo in my area semi-imploded and now there are more groups based on the factions. As I am neutral (if unhappy at being kicked out of a side group because of one of the instigators getting someone to add them and then they kicked everyone out. Luckly, they couldn’t kick out the owner and he kicked them out and reinstated us), I’m in all groups (except the Valor and Mystic ones, cause I’m Instinct. Not that I really care, honestly, it’s just a game) and hopefully things will get better.

I read only the fourteenth novel of The Irregular at Magic High School today. I also re-watched episodes 8 to 10 of GATE because I wanted to re-watch Rory Mercury’s verbal beat down of the Japanese Senate representative. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess (which lead me to the previous sentence), Mauling Snarks and Tsunami.

I also read/reread some more sakurademonalchemist stories. The first one I started rereading was called ‘Naruto Emiya.’ It’s a crossover between Naruto and the Fate part of the Type Moon universe (or Natsu-verse). It has Zelretch (the immortal troll) finding Naruto almost dead in Konoha (when he was young, like 8) and sends him to Kiritsugu soon after Illya is born. Another one I reread was ‘Sorcellerie Miraculeuse.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Ladybug and Cat Noir crossover. Female Harry leaves Britain after the Triwizard Tournaments with Fleur’s families help. Finally, I read ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ for the first time (Sadly nothing to do with The Greatest American Hero series even though the title is based off the theme song). It’s a Supernatural and Fate/Zero crossover. After season 2, Sam goes to Fuyuki to participate in a tournament to try and save his brother from Hell. However, he only gets a shade of a hero. I got a new chapter for a story called ‘Moving On: Tales of Marinette & Adrien’ by HawkwardDolphin. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir story about Marinette thinking of moving on from Adrien and Chat Noir (what he’s called in the story) telling her to do what makes her happy. Things are a mess because of the ‘Love Square’ (only technically a square, but that’s what fans call it). I also started reading a story called ‘My Name is Harry Potter’ by megamatt09. It’s a crossover between the DC universe and Harry Potter. Harry is an auror who sees something he shouldn’t have and is thrown through the Veil. But he survives and plots how to get revenge with the League of Assassins. So I’m just gonna flat out say it, I can only think of a few of megamatt09’s stories that are not more than liberally filled with sex scenes. In fact, a few of his stories are just a collection of one shots of Harry or Spiderman having sex with different women. I read them for the story, not the sex. However I’m also an adult, so I would hope that any underage people reading this will not follow the link. This one does have sex, but it doesn’t ever become as prominent as his other stories and starts after a few chapters. Fair warning.

Today was also a very sad day for Marvel fans with the passing of The Legend – Stan Lee. He was the creator of some of our favorite Marvel heroes, including Spiderman and the X-Men. His cameos in the MCU will be missed and I look forward to him hopefully being in at least the Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 movies.

A Sinyk Weekend

Today I had more Fate’s Gamble and that was mostly all I did for the day reading wise. There was of course today’s new Mauling Snarks chapter, but no other new chapters for stories. However, there was a new sequel for a series I liked that came out today. It’s the third in the series and it’s called ‘Ashes to Flame’ by rayrae118.

The series is based of the 2009 remake Star Trek films (way too much here to try and explain; look it up or don’t worry about it if you don’t know about it). The first one ‘Another Little White Lie’, starts after he drives his stepfather’s car off the cliff. He’s sent to his aunt on Tarsus IV (which I just looked up and apparently is cannon, well that he’s there at least) and lives through the tragedy there. From there he looks after the kids he saved (from a distance) and (as he’s much smarter than canon) gets a higher education. Eventually leading to a similar, but different bar scene before he joins the academy. This one goes to end of the first movie. The second one goes extrapolates on things, but deals with things before and after the second movie. The author has written two other series, a Harry Potter one and an X-Men one, that I also recommend. The first one is a Harry/Ginny one that starts at the end of third year (and goes through the fourth year) called ‘It’s OK Not To Be OK (But I Promise, I’m Trying).’ It has Harry having to deal with the abuse of the Dursley’s and getting help to overcome what happened (a common theme for this author. The second one is a “X-Men: First Class” AU where Charles and Erik go to see a different last mutant, which changes things that happen. I also went to Target to get my Zekrom/Reshiram code (I only got one because I had to convince the people that the while the Thundurus/Tornadus ones they had [of which there were many] could be redeemed through the 29 of this month; their event was technically over and the other one started today. When the box of them was checked, I was right ^_^) and Game Stop to get the Zeraora code (And once again, I have all the current Pokémon!)

Today was more Fate’s Gamble (and I might take a break. Don’t know why this time is harder than before. I’m only up to 44 of 80.). I got a few new chapters for Relic of the Future and Harry Potter and the Stargate (I enjoyed Harry’s parody of Albus in this chapter). I decided to reread the second as it only has 16 chapter and I finished 11 of them today (on a side note, I didn’t realize [because I ignored the A/Ns] that there’s a reference to the British 1998 film the “The Avengers” [Nothing to do with the Marvel Universe at all to my knowledge, having not watched it]. This is because Petunia Dursley’s and Horace Slughorn’s actors had main roles in it. It was a clever reference).

In new chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet, I learn that ‘Naruto the Mightiest Disciple!’ by godospartain the Kitsune is going on Hiatus. As they haven’t updated it in forever (it started in 2011 and the last chapter we got from them was in 2017, a year after the chapter before it was posted), I was surprised to even hear from them. It’s a Naruto and Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple crossover that has Naruto (3 years old) being sent away via jutsu by the Third after being stabbed by Danzo. He ends up in the KtMD universe and being raised by Ryozanpaku along with Miu. It’s okay (I haven’t read it in a while), but you can read it if you want. The second chapter was from a Naruto story called ‘Better Left Unsaid’ by Kenichi618. It has Naruto not learning he has the Kyuubi from Mizuki and ending up on team 9 with Ino and Shikamaru. This changes many things. I like both this one and the author. They have quite a few stories and while some are not my cup of tea (or I don’t know the original story well enough), they have some good ones. So, I finished rereading Harry Potter and the Stargate (the next chapter comes out on Wednesday). There were new chapters for The Unseen Hunt and Enough (the eighth and last chapter). Other than that I decided to reread some of Sinyk’s other stories I haven’t mention yet (I think).

The first one was ‘Harry Potter and the Old Friend’ which is nine chapters. It has Ignotus Peverell (the third brother that had the Deathly Hallows) taking over Harry’s body a little before his eleventh birthday and setting things up to change the future for the better. The second one was ‘Harry Potter – Three to Backstep’. It has Harry dying to Voldemort in the forest in a vastly different Battle of Hogwarts. He ends up in front of his Grim Reaper/Guardian Angel and learns it’s his 6^th death and Heaven is sending back with Hermione and Daphine Greengrass (With a soul-bond between them) to the beginning of 4^th year to fix things (including dealing with potioning the younger two Weasley’s are doing to make them love/be loyal to them and Dumbles’ manipulations). I’m still working on Harry Potter – Three to Backstep (only 9 chapters left!). I was very happen to see a new chapter for ‘Pick up the Pieces and Rebuild’ when I woke up this morning. There were also new chapters from History Strongest Disciple Again!, How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk, Mending the Knots and Mauling Snarks.

There was also a new chapter for another one of ack1308’s stories ‘Trump Card’ (which has nothing to do with the President). It’s a Worm story (big surprise) where Taylor gets the power to copy another parahuman’s power that’s within her range. She ends up with Über and L33t. This chapter is supposed to be the second to last, but maybe there’ll be a sequel (there’s a lot of unfinished business, a least I think). I also went to Game Stop and sold my old Pokemon Games (White, X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun and Moon [the last two are extra copies I got to get more hat Pikachu’s in a past event]) to go towards the Let’s Go games. I also got my second (and last, because I only have one of each of the Ultra games) Zeraora code while I was there.

It’s Almost Zeraora Time!

Tuesday

Today, I finished Harry and Ginny: A Love Story and watched more of Log Horizon. Well, I got to where it’s currently up to at chapter 33. Like I said yesterday, it hasn’t been updated since 2015, but other story have been posted/updated by the author. The only new chapter today was from Service with a Smile.

With my rewatching of Log Horizon (I looked it up and the light novel finally got a new book out recently after a few years), I decided to look up some of it’s fanfiction. Both of them are about them trying to get home. The first one ‘A Gate Home’ by knaka148 started last year and is only two chapters. In it the two opposing guilds work together to get home. The second one is an older one written in 2016 and is finished. It’s called ‘Horizon Breach’ by GBRK. It has them using blank summoning to send people back. However, they still have their powers… See how things turn out, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11936165/1/Horizon-Breach.

After that, I started rereading an old favorite of mine that had its sequel end relatively recently, ‘Fate’s Gamble’ by Lupine Horror. At its base it’s a Type Moon and Harry Potter crossover, because it has elements from several Type Moon stories. However, because of the Kaleidoscope (and Zelretch insanity) there are a few other stories represented (even if it’s not until later in the story). I really liked this one and enjoyed it and its sequel, ‘Fate’s Gamble: Round Two.’

In the story, Zelretch trying to connect to world’s he’s not on/has died in. He does it wrong and Fate uses the unused power to change several Harry’s destinies. The one the story is about has Harry (age 5) ending up on the Shapeless Isle (the Gorgon’s home. Ya know from Greek Mythology) in Zelretch’s universe. There he meets Stheno and Euryale (Medusa’s sisters, if ya didn’t know) and becomes Zelretch and Waver’s (a least he has one human influence) student. Today was also the release of Gen 4 Pokémon on PoGo! They only released the starters and a few of the beginning Pokémon, but it’s a start. Though I wonder where the rest of Gen 3 is? Who knows, I certainly don’t.

Wednesday

Today was mostly rereading Fate’s Gamble and finishing the first season of Log Horizon. There were a few more new chapters than yesterday including: Harry Potter and the Stargate, several Game On! 3 0 chapters (that finished it off. 4 0 should be next in Yu Yu Hakusho) and Heroes Assemble! and Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Bugging Me (I’m going to call this SAfPBtWSBM … yeah no, how about just Seerking’s Asylum, that works).

Then there was the update for Seerking’s next story on the rotation, ‘Kaien’s Fate, Aizen’s Experiment and Ichigo’s Sister.’ It’s a Bleach story about Kirika, a young soul girl who Aizen and his crew used (along with many others) in an experiment to implant a part of Kaien’s zanpakuto and Metastacia’s energy into another soul. She was the only one to survive and got to the Living World. She’s adopted by the Kurosaki’s and becomes a slightly younger sister to Ichigo before his mother’s attacked. Other than that, I watched the 6^th Detective Conan Movie – The Phantom of Baker Street. It has a VR game that gets taken over by an A.I. who wants the game to be finished to solve a murder. I also learned that Wildbow, the writer of Worm, has started a sequel called “Ward.” As I still haven’t read Worm, I’m not gonna read it yet, but thought those who have read it would like to know.

Thursday

Today was more Fate’s Gamble. I also started rereading one of kb0’s older stories, ‘Harry Potter: Choices.’ It has Harry deciding that he has choices the summer after Fifth year. He decides to take control of his life, starting with who his magical guardian is. This is a Harry/Ginny Soul Bond story. It’s finished and I like it a lot. In yesterday’s Seerking’s Asylum (see isn’t that easier), Seerking mentioned that The Aura King adopted one of his Plot Bunnies. The one called ‘Demon Lord of the Swarm’ (it’s chapters 86 -90 of Seerking’s Asylum) and they renamed it – ‘Demon Lord of the End.’ It has Taylor, after the end of Worm, becoming a Demon Lord in charge of a dungeon. She has to make sure she’s not defeated or the world (the new one, not the Worm one) will be destroyed. There are two chapters and it was only started on the 4^th of this month, so I’m looking forward to a fairly regular update schedule (hopefully). I watched the 10^th Detective Conan Movie – The Private Eye’s Requiem. It has Conan and the crew forced to solve a case or they and their friends will be blow up by watches they put on for a theme park. Didn’t do much more than that.

Oh yeah, I figured I would mention that Zeraora (the newest mythical Pokémon) would be available via code for Game Stop (In America at least) starting tomorrow (again only in America, everyone else has been able to get it for most of this month) til sometime next month (presumablely until before the Let’s Go games come out). Reshiram and Zekrom will also be available until the 28^th (of this month) starting tomorrow at Target. This is for the Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games only. Figured people would want to know. https://www.serebii.net/ is where I find this info if anyone wants to know. It won’t remention the above info until tomorrow, but it will be there.

Since I have a few extra minutes, Yu Yu Hakusho is about Yusuke Urameshi, a delinquent. He dies sacrifices himself to save a kid from a car, only to learn it was pointless. The kid would have survived and no one (not even the afterlife) expected him to do anything. Now he gets a chance to come back to life, but even if he does; his life will be changed forever.

The Long (Holiday) Weekend

Today I continued rereading Legion, but I didn’t finish and only got to chapter 20. There were some new chapters that I read for Queen of the Seas, Cambion, Mauling Snarks and Parva Sub Ingenti. I also played some Pokémon Sun.

As I might have mentioned in my first post, I have all of the Pokémon on the main games in my Pokémon Bank. When I say that I mean that I have at least one copy of every Pokémon released (I hatched eggs from the fully evolved forms to get it so. I got the mythical ones from the events for the 20^th anniversary.). One day when I was bored, I decided to level all of them up to 100.

It’s not easy let me tell you that. I have ‘level caps’ that I get them to then go to the next one to raise to that level cap. It goes 20, 35, 50, 70, 90 and finally 100. I can proudly say that none of them are less than level 35.

What I’ve done typically is to restart a game that I’ve cleared all but one my Pokémon in (cause one has to be in the party) and start playing. Since none of my target Pokémon are below 35 I train up extra or event Pokémon (like my hat Pikachus. It’s too bad the ones in the original games can’t evolve, I have enough for that. Maybe with the Let’s Go games I’ll be able to transfer some of my hat Raichus. Who knows? I also finally got Celebi on PoGo thanks to the psychic event!

Anyway, the only other story I read was ‘Secrecy’ by Serena530. It’s a Harry Potter story where Harry learns Ron and Dumbledore are betraying him at the beginning of 2^nd year. He starts staying away from Ron and Hermione (because she doesn’t notice the changes Ron forces on him) and becomes friends with Ginny. Watch how Harry and Ginny deal with the challenges that come before them! I like this one, but the author hasn’t updated it in a while. Hm, so I did a lot today. First of all I finished off Legion (wow four chapters, snort). Second I read the new chapters for Queen of the Seas and Relic of the Future. There was also a new chapter for a story called ‘Sealed Legacy’ by Psycho G. It’s a Naruto story where when Naruto is young, Jiraya stumbles upon a Uzumaki seal that when he activates it (not knowing what it does) almost kills him sending his knowledge and chakra to Naruto. Naruto slowly gets this knowledge and gets some of Jiraya’s habits too. It’s a good story but hasn’t been updated in while, so I was surprised to see it. Third, I started rewatching Darker Than Black because I kept getting updates for a story about it from an author I’m following named Brennus. They wrote a one-shot I mentioned earlier called ‘In the Heat of the Night.’ The story was called ‘Darker Than Black – Heaven’s Gate,’ and I rewatched some of it to remember the characters and story.

Darker Than Black is an anime about Hei, who has the ability to control electricity. He is a ‘contractor,’ someone who’s lost their emotions to get a power. They and ‘Dolls’ (those who also lost their emotions, but can track people instead) evolved from some people when the ‘Heaven Gate’ and ‘Hell Gate’ appeared one day. Hei or as he is dubbed ‘The Black Reaper’ works for ‘The Syndicate’ in tracking down targets and information.

Hei is not a normal contractor as he shows some emotions. He works with a Doll named Yin, an animal consciousness transfer contractor (this means that he can transfer his consciousness to animal) who is stuck in a cat’s body after his own died and a bitter human named Huang who doesn’t like contractors who is the leader. Hei wants to find his sister who disappeared and gets caught up in many events.

I only watched 13 of the 24 episodes (for now), but it was enough for what I needed and read the story. It’s okay, the story takes place after the second series and the author kills off the main female protagonist so another can get together with the main character. Fourth, I started looking for a story I couldn’t remember the name of and now I think its been deleted from Fanfiction.net. I have a store of all the stories on it up to 2015 (no, I didn’t make it) that I eventually found a while back. I eventually found it, ‘Survival of the Lamest’ and its sequel ‘Revenge of the Lamest’ by ShadowMajin.

It’s about Gohan’s class (before he goes to school) goes to his home to ‘camp’, silliness ensues. Also, Goku is alive for some reason. The second one is when Gohan actually goes to school. (This is Monday Matt – I was wrong these two are still up, see my day to get more on this.) I also found ‘Impasse’ and ‘Finesse’ by Dr. Trunks Briefs, I’ll talk about theses when I read them. (Monday Matt again, these are gone from ff.net.)

I didn’t read any of these, but if some wants to read them, let me know and I can send them to you. If anyone wants the archive, I’ll look up the link I got it from and send it to you. However just the zip files for them are several GB large each and the A archive (the archive for all the stories that start with A [the original stories not the fanfiction] and their crossovers) is 10.86 GB. So if want the archive make sure you have lots of space.

Moving on, I also read a new story for me called ‘Eighteen Years a Prodigy’ by AUS Wild Thing. It’s a Dragon Ball Z story I found while searching for the above stories. It’s about Videl, Erasa, and Sharpener going to a work-study program at Capsule Corp (CC). There they meet Gohan who has worked for CC (and never gone to school) for 2 years and is the head of Science and Inventing. It’s an interesting story, but slow updates based on it being started in 2015 and the latest update (the 5^th chapter) being in November 2017. Sunday

The story I mentioned yesterday is called Soul Land and I discovered it yesterday after reading a fanfiction that has it as a crossover with KHR. The fanfiction is a new one by sakurademonalchemist (so soon after the start of Queen of the Seas? Really?) called ‘Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers.’ It has Fon reborn along with the main character and changing the story. Viper/Mammon is also tagged so I assume he/she (the original story never shows their gender) will be in it too. Only one chapter so couldn’t tell how will go. It says it’s crossovered with ManHua/Chinese Comics, but that’s just because there aren’t many fanfictions for Chinese comics (or Korean ones) so they just lump them all together into one category for each country.

Anyway, after reading the chapter I went to find the original story. Soul Land is about Tang San (no, San is his name not a Japanese honorific) who is reincarnated after killing himself for stealing secrets from his clan to help them. At 6 they get a spirit that they can train to get stronger. He gets a Blue Silver Grass (a weak spirit) and a Hammer. He hides the hammer (because none has two spirits) but proves he’s powerful by showing he has lots of spirit power. He goes to an academy to learn how to train his spirit. He has many adventures after that.

I started reading the manga yesterday, but only got to about chapter 21. Today I got to chapter 182. There are currently 212 chapters.

I also read new chapters for The Unseen Hunt, Enough, Queen of the Seas and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers. There were also several new chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet. One of these stories is ‘White’ by Melkor’s Mercy. It’s a Bleach story where Ichigo is eaten by the hollow from the first chapter because Rukia wasn’t in the human world yet. The next one is ‘Under the Sea’ by ginnyrules27. It’s a Harry Potter and “Little Mermaid” crossover. I’d describe the Little Mermaid, but if you haven’t seen it… Go See It Right Now! I mean really, it’s a classic and everyone should be able to say they’ve seen it, even if they hate it. It has the Dudley accidentally trying to drown Harry when he was young. He is found by the Ariel (who is the same age) and Triton makes him a merman. After a few years, Harry is found by McGonagall and Snape who transform him back and erase Harry’s and Ariel’s memories of each other. They meet each other in his fourth year. Finally, I started rereading a Slytherin Harry fanfic called ‘Becoming Alpha’ by Miz636. It has Harry going to Slytherin and trying to combine the houses. This is a great story and I love reading it and it’s sequels. This one goes through third year. The overall story is complete and I really recommend it. Monday

Today I mostly finished rereading Becoming Alpha, playing Pokemon Sun and did work around the house. I read the new chapters for Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers, Mauling Snarks and Queen of the Seas. I also read an older fic by sakurademonalchemist (meaning it’s unfinished) called ‘Heart of the Soul.’ It’s a KHR crossover with “Ghost Hunt.” Ghost Hunt is a light novel/anime about a girl named Mai who becomes a part of a paranormal agency who try to help those who are afflicted with those types of problems. It’s good! In the fanfic Mai is a female Tsuna who was run out of the house after her brother erased their mother’s memories of her. This one is also good! The last story I read was ‘By Your Side is Where I Belong’ by TexasBean. It’s a One Piece and Naruto crossover. It has Zoro taking Naruto and Gaara (both 9ish) with him a few years before he would join Luffy. Thus Naruto and Gaara also join the One Piece crew. New Story in a Series!

Friday

Today I didn’t read much because of the previously mentioned interview. It took up most of the morning (mostly getting there and back). I thought it went well, but I I’ll find out when I hear back from them if I got the job.

I finished off The Dark Phoenix of Konoha and read the update of Mauling Snarks. Other than that there was an update for another fic I’ve read ‘The Goblet of Fire’s Trap’ by kopakanuvafan20. It’s a crossover between Harry Potter and Negima! Magister Negi Magi.

Negima! Magister Negi Magi (hereafter just called Negima) is about 9 year old Negi Springfield who just graduated from a magic school in Wales and is given his assignment to prove he can be a Magister (The highest rank of mage). This assignment is to teach English at a Japanese All-Girls Middle school. Oh, and he can’t reveal that he has magic or he’ll be turned into an ermine (if you don’t know what that is, just look it up). When he’s a younger teacher to a class of 31 curious young girls, that’s not gonna be easy.

So it’s been a while since I read this one and I’m not going to lie, the writing style is not that great and the story kinda jumps around. Essentially, Harry learn how to become a phoenix animagus after the Chamber of Secrets, goes to learn how to be a Jedi (for like a few paragraphs) then ends up going to Mahora (the school in Negima) and metamorphs into a girl (Roselyn Evans) and goes to school there until he is pulled to England for the Triwizard Tournament. I’m not that interested in it anymore because of the writing style. You can read it, but as I’ve already warned you, be prepared to not like it much. I read and watched a few new stories today so be prepared! The first was a story by White Angel of Auralon called ‘Enough’. It’s a Harry Potter story where Harry knows that Dumbledore and his ‘friends’ don’t have his best interests at heart and trains himself to take his NEWTs right after his OWLs. He deviates from the story by going to a summer camp after fourth year (and Dudley and his gang get kissed because Harry’s not there). There are more changes, but this is first major change to what happens. It has 4 chapters and was just started on the 1^st of this month. I also read a two-part story by the same author called ‘Bolt Fashion’. In it Harry is more practical and works to gain more money from before he goes to Hogwarts. He decides to start his own Fashion line and does so his fifth year. Voldie and his minions get taken out by almost accident. I reread Petrification Proliferation, read more of Honestly Harry – The Year of the Rock and read the new chapters of An Essence of Sliver and Steel, Relic of the Future and How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.

The next fic I reread is called ‘Aura Shinobi’ by guardsmansparky. It’s a Naruto and Pokemon crossover where Arceus saves Naruto when he tries to Summon without a contract at a young age. He sends Naruto back, but sends Lucario to train him and makes a Pokemon summoning contract for him. The next is a Sailor Moon story called ‘Unexpected Restart’ by Serena530. It has Serena (Usagi’s name in the english dub) wishing to restart from when she meet Darien after he dies/is captured (she doesn’t know) after the rest of her team doesn’t really care what happened to him. Her Silver Crystal grants her wish and she changes how everything happens to make it better. I like it and I’ve read other stories by this author that are good, so I recommend it. The last new story I read today is called ‘Underneath the Underneath’ by FlamexFullmetal. It’s a Naruto story with a nice Kyuubi who helps him become stronger. The last thing I did today was watch the first 3 episodes of the new anime called “Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria” or “The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar” in English. It’s a story about Yuto Suoh who takes a phone photo of himself in front of a ancient mirror that transports him to a different time where he becomes the leader of a warrior society. He wants to go back, if only to see his childhood friend that he can communicate with on his phone if he’s near his version of the mirror. This is his story.

Lastly, Umei no Mei updated Pick up the Pieces and Move On to say that starting Monday and until Friday she will post a chapter to the sequel to it (and the last on in the series) once a day. I’m looking forward to it! It’ll be on the Monday post I assume!

Today I started rereading Ripples, I got to chapter 50, but that’s not all I read today. I read the new chapters of The Unseen Hunt and Stand Together and Smile. I also read some chapters for stories I haven’t mentioned yet.

The first is called ‘SAO: The Eroge’ by SaintInfernalNeos. It’s a Sword Art Online fic where Kirito gets the power of an eroge protagonist a little before the SAO incident. This means that girls fall in love with him and he can raise their interest points toward him. This causes massive changes this in the SAO universe. The other update was from ‘Naberius Heir’ by Liam G. This author writes good stories, but none of them have finished. This one is the longest at 24 chapters (the chapters are fairly long though). This one is a Bleach and High School DxD crossover. It has Ichigo having his memories suppressed to save him from the council after the Winter War because his last linage wakes up (hint he’s from devil decent). His Great-Grandfather takes him in and has Rias (pre-story) take care of him. No one from Bleach really knows where he is, though they want to know. See how things turn out. Other than that I watched some Youtube videos explaining some of the things that went into Homestuck. Like it being an origin story. I can post the links to them if anyone is actually interested.

Monday

Well, first I finished off Ripples. I also read the new chapters for SeerKing’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Bugging Me, Mauling Snarks and I, Panacea. I read the other only Fairy Tail that the real narina has ‘Dreams of Dragons’. It has Acnologia helping Mavis found Fairy Tail (though things still happen with Zeref) and staying on to help it along. The only other story I read was the one I was looking forward to, ‘Pick up the Pieces and Rebuild’ by Umei no Mei. It’s a good start where Xanxus starts setting things up leave the failing Vongola behind while saving what he can. Really looking forward to the rest of the chapters coming out this week! Seeing as I have not read anything else, I’ll talk about “Fruits Basket.” It’s a manga by Natsuki Takaya about a girl named Tohru Honda. She’s a high school student who attempts to live in a tent after her mother dies. She is found out and ends up living with a few members of the Sohma family, only to learn that they and several other of their family members are cursed (it’s a reoccurring one in the family) to turn into the animals of the Zodiac and the cat. This happens when they are weak or a member of the opposite sex hugs them. Follow her as she meets all of them and tries to help them while learning about herself and even falling in love.

They made an anime for it and while it starts off okay; they just kind of have a tacked on ending for it. I would love to have a reboot of it (like Fullmetal Alchemist), I don’t think it will happen. I hope you look it up!

Homestuck and Some Other Things

Tuesday

Today I read a lot of pages of the online mspaint story I mentioned earlier – Homestuck. After you get a hundred or so pages in (very short pages with some videos) it becomes a lot more interesting (and convoluted. It has not stopped getting more so, so far). I ended the on the page 522 for that one today (with no end in sight).

Other than that, I read some more chapters of Viridescent and read some manga chapters of the anime I previously mentioned, Black Lagoon. In doing so, I was surprised to see that the hiatus it was on (since 2014) ended long enough last year to finish the current story act (though it is now back on hiatus).

I forgot to mention, but I also started rereading a fanfiction called ‘Desperately Seeking Ranma’ by PixelWriter1 a day or two ago. It is a Ranma ½ fic with many OCs (Original Characters) that is set after the main storyline (of both the anime and manga) where many things go wrong right afterwards and Ranma and Kasumi leave Nerima. The story starts after said event (but the event in question is in a short story by the same author called ‘Aftermath’ with a one-shot direct sequel called ‘The Fugitives’) and is mostly centered on Nabiki as the main character. It has ‘magical girls’, ‘demons’ (both the more traditional ‘kill everything’ ones and ones that are more ‘nice aliens’ who just want ice cream and chocolate), portals to other realities and much, much more. It even has a crossover with “Sailor Moon” (although the author didn’t plan on it at first. Also, not a good read for fans of Sailor Moon). I like this story very much and reread it many times. Sadly the author has not updated in two years. This doesn’t mean we haven’t heard from them, just that they have confessed to being stuck and not having much time to write. I hope they get the time to write and post soon!

For those who do not know, Sailor Moon is one of the oldie, but goodie animes (as long as you watch the Japanese sub version, the English Dub is horrible because they cut out a lot to make it a kids show. Like the lesbian characters in a later season, making one of them male. On a slightly related note, did you guys know the that the English version of Pokemon cut out an episode in the original series [Around the Safari Zone], where there is a gun and Ash gets shot?). There is a newer remake of it that is condensed from the original and more closely follows the manga called, “Sailor Moon Crystal”. I haven’t really seen it, but it looks okay. The series is about a girl named Usagi (Yes, it means rabbit) Tsukino who encounters a talking cat (named Luna, really original) that gives her the means to transform in Sailor Moon (making her a Moon Rabbit). She and her fellow Sailor Scouts fight against the dark forces while trying to find their princess. Like I said, check it out (just not the dub).

The last thing I did was read a new chapter of a story called ‘A Sith’s Second Chance’ by VFSNAKE (a really good and fairly prolific writer, I mean 96 stories!). It is a Star Wars fic that has Darth Vader being transported to Naboo at the beginning of Episode I after he dies in Episode VI. He has a younger (non-cybernetic) body and a desire to correct all the wrongs that happened in the universe while setting things up to eventually face his younger self. I quite like this one as well, along with many of VFSNAKE’s fics. Wednesday

I’ll start off with Seerking’s normal Wednesday story update. This one is called ‘Ashikabi of Thunder and Lightning’. It is a Sekirei fanfiction. In this one, the main character’s (Minato) mother, Takami decides that there is no way to stop her son (Unlike the original) from becoming an Ashikabi (a mate of the Sekirei) and sends twin Sekirei to help him in the hopes he will wing them. He does and this leads to many things good and bad to happen. Look it up if it seems interesting! Only one new chapter today and it was from Warlock. I finished off Viridescent and read a few more chapters of Desperately Seeking Ranma. Other than that I read many more pages of Homestuck today, getting to page 1931. Wondering when the end was, I looked it up and found that it had over 8000 pages before the end! It’s too bad it wasn’t over 9000, but some things can’t be helped. Things are making a lot more sense, in a twisted sort of way. Also, the character John has an obsession with the movie Con-Air’s ending (not that I don’t like it myself), as shown on the page I ended on. I really am emotionally on the same page as the troll on this one.

Thursday

I was busy today, so there’s not much I read today. I got to page 1994 of Homestuck, where we finally are about to learn more about the trolls. Reread all of the 7 chapters of A Sith’s Second Chance. The only new story I read was ‘I Aim to Misbehave’ by White Squirrel.

It’s a Harry Potter and Firefly crossover with the prologue showing Harry and his friends helping the evacuation of Earth (very pre-Firefly) and Harry finally leaving too in a sleep pod on a ship. He wakes up in very distant future and is looking to find his descendants. It’s been a while since I watched Firefly (Sadly), so I don’t know where it converges with it. However, I think it is a divergent timeline anyway. It’s only a prologue and the first chapter so far, but looks interesting. In the absence of more things I’ve read today, I’ll talk about another book series I’m a fan of – the Pendragon Series by D. J. MacHale. The series is about a young boy named Bobby Pendragon who is taken by his Uncle Press on an adventure to other dimensions to save all the dimensions from Saint Dane, who is trying to them down. He has to do this because he is a ‘Traveler’, one of 10 chosen to protect the dimensions. He records his journey on journals that he sends back to his friends back home. The series has 10 books in the main story and 3 ‘origin story’ compilations on the other Travelers. Look it up, it’s really good!

Also on PoGo, there are a now many Kanto (Gen 1) Pokemon available. In addition to that the three legendary birds will be in raid (with a chance for Shiny) until the 20th. After that for a month and few days until Oct. 23rd, Mewtwo will be a regular raid boss (maybe in preparation for Deoxys being the new EX raid boss). Finally the Gen 1 regionals will be available in 7 km eggs, though I don’t know the stats for that happening. This is through the end of the month. Good luck to everyone!

No One for a Week!

Wow, nobody’s even visited the site since last Thursday. I’m sad to realize this, but maybe I need to advertise more. If someone has suggestions or thinks I’m doing something wrong, please tell me. Tuesday

So to finish yesterday’s new fanfictions (they’re all still Quatermass’ stories), the first is ‘Separated at Birth’. It’s a Harry Potter and Fate/Stay Night crossover happening after the events of the HP books. It’s revealed that Harry is not really a Potter (causing Ginny and most people to leave him), but was really stolen from another universe to become the Boy Who Lived. Taking few people with him (Hermione, Luna and George) he gets Zelretch’s help to go to meet his now younger twin sister, Rin Tohsaka a year or so before the Grail War. The last one from yesterday was, ‘Plenipotent Player Prince.’ It’s a crossover between Code Geass and Overlord. Overlord is a light novel/anime about a guy who stays logged in on a VR game on its last day until the servers shut down. When it happens, he and the NPCs in his guild’s base are transported to a new world (including a succubus he changed to description to love him). Now a real life lich, he and the now alive NPCs take this world by storm after he takes the guild’s name as his own, Ainz Ooal Gown. In the fic, instead of being transported to a new world, most the characters a reborn as Code Geass characters, with Ainz Ooal Gown being Lelouch. See how this changes things. Moving on to today, I have more Qautermass fics (Yay). No really, they’re good. The first for today was, ‘Gorgon and Thanatos’. It’s another Harry Potter and Fate/Zero Crossover (the author has a few). It has things going wrong again after the books and Harry going to be a guardian of a hidden library in Fuyuki a few years before the Fourth Grail War. He isn’t a participant, but ends up accidentally have a Heroic Spirit of his own as a familiar. The war is much different because of it. Next is ‘Parva Sub Ingenti’. It means, ‘The small under the huge’ and it’s a crossover between Harry Potter (surpise!) and “Gate: Thus the JDF Fought There”. Gate is a story about a Gate to a medieval magical world appearing in Japan and an army coming through to attack. The attack is eventually repelled and the JDF (Japanese Defense Force) is sent through to find out about this new world and get reparations. One soldier is Itami (an otaku who happened to be there when the attack happened and helped save people). He leads a group to map this new world and help as many pretty girls as possible and have them follow him around. Also, there’s a huge dragon!

The fic has Harry, Hermione and Luna going through the veil (which leads to the world on the other side of the Gate) several years before the Gate would open. Harry ends up saving someone who would become a villain in the original story and living his life there. See how this massively changes the story. Also Sirius is still alive. Following is ‘Light the Blue Touch Paper and Run Like Hell’. It’s a crossover between Thor and Fate/Zero that has Loki becoming the master of Caster (Medea) in the Fourth Grail War after being saved by Zelretch (this is after the events of the movie Thor, before he meets Thanos). He uses this as a way to work through his frustrations about his family and learn more about himself. It’s finished and the author plans to make a sequel at a later time. ‘Cambion’ is a Harry Potter and High School DxD crossover. It has Harry as a half devil with Riser Phenex being his father. James kicks him out of the Potter family for having a different father. The last fic (for today) from Quartermass is ‘Neopolitan and the Goblet of Fire’. It is a crossover between Harry Potter and RWBY in which a female Harry is Neopolitan. During the events at the end of the 3^rd season, the Goblet of Fire summons Neo back to the Harry Potter world. She then decides to take revenge on her father and Sirius (who threw her through the Veil at a young age). It’s interesting. I read a few more chapters of Remnant’s Reclaimer and started rereading a RWBY fanfiction called ‘The Remnant Knight’ by Masseffect-TxS. It has Jaune sending Pyrrha away at the end of the 3^rd season and facing Cinder himself. This reveals an ability not even he knew about in his bloodline that helps him, at a cost. Homestuck was mentioned in a fic and I went looking for it. I only got to the 27^th page, but it looks … weird. It’s an MS paint adventure about, trolls, I think. I’ll get back to it later. The link to it is here – https://www.homestuck.com/.

Lastly I read a new chapter from Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies That Won’t Stop Bugging Me. For those who don’t remember, it’s a one shot/short story repository for him.

Wednesday

I read a lot again today, so get ready! I read some more chapters of Becoming a Man Among Men. However I read more of Quartermass’ fic today… sorry going to be for a little bit more. The first one is called, ‘Wings of the Forsaken’ and is a Harry Potter and “Sekirei” crossover. Sekirei is a manga/anime about a young Japanese man who gets caught up in a contest between aliens called Sekirei who are forced to fight because of a mad man’s whims. Most of the Sekirei are beautiful girls who bond with their ‘destined one’ and fight until only one remains. Minato ‘wings’ several Sekirei and is also forced to compete. It’s interesting, but you can tell it’s a story for young men (what with all the panty shots).

Wings of the Forsaken has Harry cast out of the Potter’s for being Lupin’s son (who helped Lily overcome the love potion James has her under) after the Halloween attack. He is eventually left in Japan and is taken in by Miya. After taking over the company in charge of the Sekirei, Harry is forced back to England for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. The next one is called ‘Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me’. It’s a Pirates of the Caribbean movie series and Sekirei crossover that has Jack Sparrow reborn as Minato. The last one from Quartermass (again today) is called ‘Warlock’. It is a Code Geass and Harry Potter crossover. It has Harry going through the veil in fifth year and ending up in the Code Geass universe. He becomes Kallen’s boyfriend and helps out their group before Zero shows up. I also completely reread a fic called ‘The Ash Connection’ by I am Lu. It has Ash and all his former and current traveling companions (It’s set in Black and White), rivals and friends on the run from a Team Rocket controlled Mewtwo. Thursday

Not that much overall read today, but again there are a few Quartermass fics. The first is ‘Disquiet’ and it is a Harry Potter and “Black Lagoon” crossover. Black Lagoon is about a shipping company who does illegal things for money who capture a Japanese salary man for a disk he is transporting. Rock, as he is later called, is abandoned to die by his company and falls in with the Lagoon company. Watch as he, Revy (a two-handed female sharpshooter), and the rest of the crew handle their jobs and the mess that follows. I also started rewatching the anime a few days ago to remind myself of the series, I would definitely recommend it.

In Disquiet, Harry (now Hal) is the partner of a character from later in the series, Frederica Sawyer. She (in the story) is Bellatrix’s daughter. They were thought dead by the Wizarding World (WW) after James and Sirius try to make Horcruxes from them (and says they were killed practicing dark magic). When Harry’s brother dies in his fifth year, the WW comes looking for them. Only to find them very much willing to kill anyone who comes after them with the intent to kill. The other one from Quartermass today is a one-shot called ‘Coconuts?’. It’s a Fate/Stay Night – Unlimited Blade Works afterstory that has Zelretch sending Monty Python and the Holy Grail for Arturia to watch… yeah. I would not recommend for the actual King Arthur to ever watch it, as hilarious as it is. On a side note, when a friend from summer camp (when I was in high school) heard I hadn’t seen it, he recited it to me verbatim over the next few days (impressive right). I have since seen it. Other than a few more chapters of Becoming a Man Among Men, I read a new chapter of Parva Sub Ingeti and a new fic, ‘Reaching for a Dream’ by Noodlehammer. It is the first of a series of Naruto fics and the only one not a crossover. It has an older Naruto than the other characters normally his age and different female Kyuubi. Warning! This is an M fic for a reason. It has many Lemons in it (if you don’t know what that means, it is slang for R rated interactions between men and women). Don’t like, don’t read. Finally, I finished adding the new characters to my own fanfiction and am looking forward to writing more to eventually post it. Sorry everyone, I went to sleep early yesterday and it wasn’t until today that I remembered I need to post. I figured I’d just wait and put today’s post in it too. On to the posts (now it’s very early Saturday, go figure)

Tuesday

I started today by reading a few more chapters in Becoming a Man Among Men. Then I reread a Pokemon one-shot and the some chapters from the fanfiction it’s a sort of prequel to – ‘I Swear It’ and ‘The Master Challenge: Intro and Kanto Arcs’ both by NoSignalBlueScreen. I Swear It is a Ash/Misty story (They don’t get together but it deals more with them starting to acknowledge their feelings) that happens during the solo training trip mentioned in The Master Challenge. The Master Challenge is set after Kalos (though the author started writing at the beginning of Kalos) and Ash decides he needs to go on a solo training trip with his Pokemon to get stronger. A year later, the Master Challenge is announced and all of Ash’s friends/traveling companions & rivals show up to take it. It involves going through all of the regions to find something in each one, but wait, what is Team Rocket doing!? And what’s this about the gang’s parents? The author splits each of the regions into a separate fic. I like this author and all of his stories, there are more one-shots dealing with other characters and their backstories plus several longer fics I’ll mention later. I also got a few new chapters today, the first is a Naruto story that happens after the “Finding Tsunade” arc called ‘The Unexpected Lord of Foxes’ by Solvdrage. Solvdrage is a fellow Naruto/Hinata shipper and has many stories with that paring. This one has the Hyuuga Elders deposing Hinata’s dad and planning to punish Hinata and Negi. Hinata gets to express her feelings to Naruto and he decides to help her and the clan out, with some (as mentioned in the title) unexpected help. I read the new chapter and started to reread the story (it’s only 12 chapters). The last story I read was a Naruto and Bleach crossover named, ‘Kitsune of Las Noches’ by brown phantom. It has Gin and Kaname saving Naruto from a mob when he was young and training him along with Aizen and the Espada (This happens a while before the start of Bleach). He goes back to Konoha to become a Genin, see how his training and outlook change the Naruto universe. It’s a great fic from a great author. He has written almost 50 stories (Most of them Naruto) and their all good (even if there are more than a few unfinished). I didn’t read much today, but I did start rereading another Code Geass fanfiction ‘Code Geass: The Rise of the Black Prince’ by nanoman79. It’s an interesting story with the starting point that Lelouch & Nunnaly’s mother didn’t die and what would happen if they finished growing up in Britannia. It has 107 chapter and a sequel with some chapters, but the author hasn’t written anything since 2016. Not to say they don’t have good stories, but it always annoys me when people don’t finish their fics or at least give a good reason why they stop. Other than that, I got some new chapters. The first one is a Naruto & Harry Potter crossover called ‘A Ninja Summoned’ by Baleygr. It has Harry being transported to the Naruto verse when he was young (which runs 2 times faster than the Harry Potter verse), becoming a ninja, going through the Naruto timeline before the main part of the fanfiction and marrying a female Naruto. After all this in the prologue, an adult Harry is summoned by the Goblet of Fire from in front of his wife to participate in the Tri-wizard Tournament. Follow Harry and the team that comes from Konoha in their adventures in the Potter verse! It’s on it’s fifth chapter and if good. The next new chapter is the next story by Seerking – ‘Worm – Justice for All’. It’s a crossover between Worm and the Japanese light novel series “Infinite Dendrogram”. Infinite Dendrogram is about a young man who starts a VR game that gives each player an Embryo that evolves as the player grows. The main character gets a rare type that looks human a Type-Maiden. This fanfic has Taylor getting a Type-Maiden Embryo. The first arc of the story was already posted on his plot bunny story – Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies That Won’t Stop Bugging Me, but he’s edited it and is posting the chapters in his line up (it’s only on the second now). The last one is from a series I haven’t mentioned yet, the supposed rival of Pokemon, Digimon. Digimon is a show with multiple series with different ‘digidestined’ who partner up with a digimon to save the human and digital world. They’re not all in the same universe. It’s called ‘Crossing Boundaries, Second Edition’ by Yua-hime. The author is remaking their older fic. It deals with Kuroku and Clockmon gathering the digi-destined from the other plots for the ending of Fusion. It mostly focuses on Daisuke, how he is treated and others think of him. The last thing for today was that I was reminded I saw Mission Impossible: Fallout this weekend. I liked it because it tied all the other movies together. Thursday

So as I mentioned at the top, I’m writing this on Friday (sorry again). I remember yesterday fairly well, so on to it.

Yesterday was mostly filled with Code Geass: The Rise of the Black Prince and finishing The Unexpected Lord of Foxes, but I did get two new chapters. The first one I’ll mention was ‘The Lady of the Flies’ by InsanityIncarnate90 and is a Worm and High School DxD. At the end of Worm, Taylor is dropped into the DxD verse and is reincarnated into a devil by a young Rias Gremory. See how Taylor changes things. The second one is a fic called ‘Out of Time’ by Saint Danielle. It is a My Hero Academia fanfiction. For those who don’t know it, it deals with a senior middle school student named Izuku who is powerless in a world where those having no having powers are the minority. He studies heroes and wants to be one, but is looked down on for it. He impresses his hero, All Might, who passes his ‘Quirk’ (what powers are called) on to him (the only one that can be passed on). Watch Izuku take on the name, Deku, and study to become a great hero with others, while dealing with supervillains. In Out of Time, Izuku is one of the first heroes and on his final battle, he disappears. He reappears many years later, during the original stories time, and has to figure out how to adapt while figuring out who the bad guys really are. It’s only three chapters, but it’s good. Friday

Once again not much, mostly Code Geass: The Rise of the Black Prince, I’m on chapter 61. I got new chapter for previously mentioned fics: Taylor Varga, Mauling Snarks and Elemental Sky. I also started a completely new fanfic, ‘Child of the Storm’ by Nimbus Llewelyn. It’s a crossover between Harry Potter and The Avengers (Marvel verse). It happens in Year 3 (now in 2013) of HP and in 2013 Marvel movie verse (but Loki is good now). Thor was James Potter with his memories erased, but was killed before a merging could be done. His memories were blocked because he went mad and is only reminded of them when Harry mentally calls for help as he’s falling from his broom in the match with Dementors. I also started rereading a Bleach fic called ‘Ichigo Awakens’ by Teloch. It has Ichigo saving his mother (Though she’s now in a coma) when he is young and starts training to take on Aizen and Ywatch. Fourth Day

Hello, everyone! As has been established by the last few titles, I am not a great namer. I’ll try to have better titles, but I feel for the first week I’m going to follow this trend. It just wouldn’t feel right. Or you know it just might be my having watched Skyward Wing playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days recently and the summer quest in Kingdom Hearts Union x also saying what day you’re playing in, who knows?

Anywho, I jumped around a lot today in what I read. I did read a few chapters of Ashes of the Past and got up to start of chapter 33, when Ash gets a rematch against Richie in the Indigo League (not that Richie knows it’s a rematch, but whatever). I interrupted that with rereading a Worm fanfic called ‘I, Panacea’ by ack1308 on fanfiction.net. I think he has a different user name on AO3, but I don’t remember what it is at this moment. I just checked to make sure, but all of his fics include the Worm story and he is one of my favorite Worm fic writers. This one is a sequel to a physical self-insert story called ‘Security’ and has the author’s character from that story mentally inserted into a Worm character’s head alongside her, namely Panacea. She is one of the main characters that is in bad situation that gets worse and eventually breaks her. Some people love her, some people hate her, but she is a popular character to get help in fanfics. Definitely recommend these two fics (though I, Panacea is not finished), their ‘sequel’ ‘I, Scion’ (which is a 3 chapter silly fic) and all of his fics.

Next, reread a few chapters from the fic ‘From Fake Dreams’ by Third Fang including the latest chapter. From Fake Dream is set in the Fate/Stay Night storyline of the TYPE-MOON universe. Fate/Stay Night is a Japanese visual novel/Eroge (which means it might include sex and sexual themes) that has anime adaptations of it.

I’m going to pause here. Just to be clear, in this blog I am not going to talk about porn or sex. I am however going to be talking about stories that have that in them. So that anyone who is underage or doesn’t want read about such things is happy, I will post R rated content, before and after the topic, like this.

Anyway, while there are sex and sexual themes in the visual novel, it’s not a main staple in either it or From Fake Dreams.

Fate/Stay Night has three main storylines you can follow to get one of three girls: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven’s Feel. There are variations of these storylines, but they don’t really matter to this discussion. I mention this because in From Fake Dreams, long before the main story, the father of the main character (Shiro Emiya) Kiritsugu Emiya has dreams of those storylines and the storyline one of the main characters Archer. Based on this information (which he does verify as much as he can), he sets things up so that his son can survive and defeat all the world-ending threats (and fulfill some personal wishes too). Things don’t exactly work out like Kiritsugu hopes, but when does it ever. Still a great story that has 52 great chapters with more incoming. He also has several other great stories that I will talk about later (including one tomorrow because there’s already going to be a lot on here for today).

Moving on finally to something other than fanfiction and anime, I watched the movie Alpha in theaters today. I really liked it, but those who don’t like subtitles shouldn’t see it because all dialogue in the movie is subtitles. I don’t actually know the name of the language they were using, but it’s set 20,000 years ago so who knows. Well, I could (and probably will) look up the language. See I even did it in the middle of that sentence (it’s fictional). Moving on, I thought it was a great movie with stunning visuals and sounds that really capture the wilderness of long ago. For those who don’t know about the movie, it’s about a the chief’s son trying to get home after an accident and befriending a wolf along the way. Thus the wolf/dog became man’s best friend. The film does a good job of showing the story rather than speaking it. I would definitely recommend it.

Third Day

Hello, guys and gals! Didn’t read much today because I had some other things to do today. However, I did read 23 chapters of Ashes of the Past, the fanfiction I mentioned yesterday. By the 24th chapter Ash already has the 8 badges for the Kanto region (Red, Blue & Yellow games) and should get to the first movie soon (the author includes the movies in the story).

Yesterday I also read a Harry Potter one shot fanfiction (with only one chapter). It was called ‘In the Heat of the Night’ by Brennus, who is a writer of slightly darker Harry/Ginny stories. This one is about Ginny having to pay the consequences for her parents breaking the law on Dumbledore’s orders in a different storyline. It has a happy ending, in a way, but not for everyone. He has several other Harry Potter stories (all Harry/Ginny), a RWBY two part series and a Darker than BLACK fic. The link to his page is – https://www.fanfiction.net/u/4577618/Brennus.

For those who don’t know, RWBY is an online animated show by Rooster Teeth. It follows Team RWBY, a group of four girls named Ruby, Weiss, Blake & Yang, and their friends through school training to hunt beasts called Grim. The characters are based off of fairy tale characters: Ruby (Red Riding Hood), Weiss (Snow White), Blake (Beauty & and the Beast) & Yang (Rapunzel or Goldie Locks). However, they are badass!
