Long Traveling Weekend

Hello, friends. It’s been a long week with a lot of driving. It’s the reason why this will be late. I helped my parents with an event this weekend and it involved four-hour trips Friday-Sunday, with the ones on Friday and Sunday getting to the locations after 8. Along with the fact I helped with the event on Saturday and Sunday, left not much time to write.

My interview went fine as far as I know, but I won’t know if I got the position until later in the week as they’re still interviewing. Hopefully I’ll have something to tell you next post. Because of everything, I didn’t really have a chance to do much game wise.

So, I didn’t change much of what I’m listening to this week, because I started listening to something else entirely for a good part of the week and only today got back on track. Why you ask? Because I was having a lot of fun with this fic, Life’s a Pay to Win Game by UnholyExcaliber.

This is a crossover between two reincarnated light novels that have an anime, Mobseka (or The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs) and The Eminence in Shadow. Mobseka is about Leon who recinarnated into the world of an otome (a dating sim for young girls) that he was forced to play by his younger sister. He died after playing it and ends up as a lower noble in the countryside. He goes looking for a high level item he paid for to help him in the game after he learns he’s going to be sold off to an old lady and possibly killed. He finds it and ends up at the academy. Will he be able to distance himself from the events of the game? And is he the only reincarnator? Find out in this 13-novel series. It also has another set of novels that follows a different route (from one point of view).

The Eminence is Shadow is about Cid, a boy who wants to be one pulling the strings behind the story, hence the title. He has trained to be one most of his life in secret, while trying to be a ‘mob’ character the rest of the time. He seriously tries to think of a way to defeat a nuke. His is run over by a truck (totally his own fault, btw) and is reincarnated into a world with magic. He decides to play his game here and ends up bringing in girls that he accidentally saved from a disease by messing around. He tells the first (that he names Alpha) a made-up story about a cult trying to resurrect a demon and him fighting against them. However, it turns out to be true and they girls he saves make an organization to fight them. He doesn’t know that it’s real and refuses to see reason, and no-one in his organization realizes this. It’s amusing and the “I AM ATOMIC” in the anime is awesome! Also, a movie is coming out sometime this year!

So, in the fanfic, the two worlds they’re reincarnated into are fused and their origins are altered. While Leon is searching for his item and Cid is going to ‘rescue’ his sister, they end up meeting and changing both their fates from the original. This is a massive fic, and the author does a great job on it. There’s a lot more to their histories and the origins of their whole world. It’s got 108 chapters on AO3, but that includes more than few omakes. I started reading it sometime last week and was hooked! I haven’t finished it, but I wanted to re-listen to it while on my long drives and had a lot of fun! This is worth a read and it was just updated with 108 today!

Finally, moving onto the quest, first is Door to Destiny by sakurademonalchemist. This is a KHR and Kingdom Hearts crossover. Fem Tsuna (Fem Sora) is cast off of her world when her flames are sealed. She wakes up on Destiny Islands and becomes Sora. How will this affect things and will she ever return? These questions are partially answered as it has 13 chapters. Sadly, it hasn’t updated since 2019.

Second is Double Trouble by sakurademonalchemist. This is a Bleach and Harry Potter crossover that I’ve mentioned before here. It’s a Tatsuki is fem Harry story, but she’s also a Soul Reaper long before Ichigo gets his powers. It gets a bit weird, but when doesn’t it from this author. It has 22 chapters and hasn’t updated since 2012.

Third is Drabble Ball Z by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a compilation fic for one and two shots about Dragon Ball Z. There are only 7 chapters and four fics. One with Ranma ½ where Ranma is de-aged and found by Chichi and Goku, one where Fem Trunks is de-aged and ends up growing up with Gohan, one where Fem Harry is actually Vegeta’s daughter with Lily, and the last one has Fem Harry in Trunks timeline where she survives getting attacked by the androids (timelines don’t work without shenanigans, but the author wrote it anyway). It was last updated in 2022.

Fourth is Dreams by Epeefencer. Harry is rejected by Ginny before the final battle but sacrifices himself to save her. He wakes up in his second year confused. He decides to help Ginny as much as he can. However, he keeps blacking out and waking up a while later. What’s going on and how can he fix things? I’m not sure we’ll know as it only has 16 chapters and was last updated in 2017. The author hasn’t posted anything since 2022 either.

Fifth and last is Duel Nephillim by Night Raydes. It’s a one-chapter Harry Potter story, that used to be longer. I’ve talked about it before here. Harry is born a twin but is the ‘devil’ one to his sister’s ‘angel’. After confronting Vodlie, Lily sends Harry with Bella (who’s on her side) and trains her daughter, Rosette. That’s it, but with more information. I’ve mentioned about this author before, so don’t expect more, maybe ever.

A Busy Week

Hello, readers! It’s been another week and things are mostly the same. I did get an interview date for the job next week. Based on previous experience, I don’t think I’ll hear back until closer to the end up for the month about the job, but here’s hoping! I did a lot of driving on Friday and it tired me out. I haven’t done much reading for the quest this week because of starting to study Spanish. Because of that I don’t think I’ll be able to finish the last S this month, but I need to do this, so it is what it is. Because of previously mentioned stuff, I also haven’t really had a chance to try and find Alpha ? Unown.

I also finally posted the first chapter of my fic on a My Hero Academia discord to get feedback and edits yesterday. Sadly, no-one has looked it over yet, so we’ll see how it goes.

So, my listening changes this week are – I finished In Another World with My Smartphone Vol 5 and started Reborn as a Space Mercenary vol 13 as it finally came out on Audible! This one’s always fun and I like getting back to it once in a while. Captain Hiro is back and he’s planning to head back to his second stop to officially add Doctor Shoko to his crew, however first, he has to deal with a giant space monster being unsealed. And even when he gets there, someone is waiting with a grudge. Listen to the latest book of Hiro’s misadventures!

I also got to a point I didn’t remember in A Hero Rises by Zabeck and so I switched to the compilation fic My Heroic Drabbles by sakurademonalchemist. I’ve talked about it recently here, though the posts after that one have more information on specific stories in it.

That’s it, so it’s time for the quest – first is Displacement by cloud_nine_and_three_quarters. This is an MHA story set at some point after they leave UA and Izuku still has One-For-All. Izuku is thought to have been killed two years ago and Bakugo is still chasing the villain that did it. However, things are not as they seem and he wasn’t killed, just displaced, in time. This is great fic and is even completed, worth a read.

Second is Distance Learning for Fun and Profit by mp3.1415player. This is a Worm AU where Taylor is very smart without powers and manages to make a machine that can pick up what she assumes is alien learning programs. She uses them to learn how to make things that aren’t tinker tech and confuses the world. There’s no Emma conflict in this one as she’s been in a coma since the attack. Sadly incomplete, but I hope it gets finished eventually.

Third is actually a omake of the previous story – Distress Calls Can Go a Long Way by mp3.1415player. It’s a Mass Effect crossover where Tali’Zorah is stranded in a dead ship and manages to make a weird gravity machine to help bring her help. However, it gets the attention of Taylor and she makes contact. Tali’Zorah and her people are in for some interesting times. Also incomplete, but at a good stopping point.

Fourth is Do I Have a Purpose Anymore? by Kingkakashi. This is a Naruto fic with a bit of Bleach crossover. After having all three of his girlfriends be stolen from him by their teammates, Naruto has enough. He leaves the village to find his purpose, however people just won’t let him be for one reason or another. Also he finds out that swords have souls, what’s that about? This is a heart-wrenching story that is complete! Also, don’t read if you like Kiba, that’s all I’ll say.

Fifth is Do You Even Lift? By TanJaded. This one is Youjo Senki two-shot about Tanya/Visha. Visha finds out about Tanya’s muscles when she walks in on Tanya winning a competition in the gym. This leads to her mouth getting ahead of her and blurting out a suggestion. Tanya takes that as a challenge and that’s history. A fun little fic.

Sixth and final is Dodging Prison and Stealing Witches – Revenge is Best Served Raw by LeadVonE . This is a wrong Boy-Who-Lived Harry Potter time travel fic that I’ve talked about before here. Harry is sent to Azkaban at the end of his second year for supposedly killing Ginny (his brother’s [John] girlfriend). He stays there for many years until after Voldemort takes over. He’s accidentally sent through the Veil of Death and Death and Fate show up. It turns out this is the second time through and last time they sent John back even though he wasn’t the Boy-Who-Lived. This time they send him back even farther. The catch? The John that was sent back will be there too eventually. He decides to get the good witches first while working the political landscape to his liking. However, this doesn’t mean things won’t go wrong. This is a very interesting fic with 69 chapters; however it hasn’t been updated since late 2024.

Finished the Alpha Dex!

Hello, readers! I’m back and on time! This week was fine as I went back to work. A position in another department that I’m qualified for has opened up again and I applied again. I also finally got the Spanish workbook from the company that I’ve been trying to get for quite a while, but that’s because there are a lot of Spanish speakers here and it’s a prerequisite for most of the higher level positions.

Moving onto the Pokémon: Legends Z-A, as the title says I finally pretty much finished the Alpha Dex! I have all the new Alphas (including their regional forms and other forms) except for evolving Alpha Feebas and the other three Pumpkaboo sizes. I’m seriously considering getting another copy of the game just to trade, but I’m willing to wait for now as I have the needed unevolved forms. Now I’m getting back to Pokemon: Legends Arceus to get the final Alphas I need from it; ? Unown, Cranidos, Rampados, Shieldon, Bastidon and Oshawott. I’m focusing on ? Unown for now, but I hope to get it soon.

Next is what I’m listening to, I actually finished By The Grace of the Gods Vol 7 before I posted my last post, but as it was on like Tuesday, I decided to leave it for today. So, now I’m listening to In Another World with My Smartphone Vol 5. In it, Touya has to deal with the fact that he’s now the Grand Duke of his own country and get it set up. While that’s happening he gets an envoy from a Theocracy and they seem intent on making him change the religion of his new country to theirs. As Touya has met God, he refuses. How will this turn out!

I also got to the chapters I hadn’t read yet for Harry Potter, Squatter by Enterprise1701-d so I decided to switch to Forging Destiny by White Angel of Auralon. This is a 3^rd year Harry Potter AU. Harry finds Sirius after he runs away and is convinced to stay with him. It has some tropes like, having good goblins, manipulative Dumbles, suppressed Harry and multiple lordships. It’s an interesting fic, there’s not really a love interest and best of all, it’s completed! It even has a sequel!

Also finished is Ashs Just Reward by The Warmongers of Simora so I decided to listen to The Winged Lord and Lady of the Skies by LilyannaSpiritOfTheCheetah. This is because the last fic in the series is coming up on my reading list and I want to finish it before then. My calculations put it potentially in late Feburary or early March, but who knows? Any way, I talked about it recently, so here’s a link to it.

Now, onto the quest; first is Devil Arts Online by Greatazuredragon. This is Sword Art Online and High School DxD crossover. After getting free of the game and freeing Asuna, she’s hurt by Sugou and ends up in a coma. Kirito makes a wish for her to be saved and ends up summoning Rias. Rias is happy to grant his wish (this is set after Asia joins), however when she calculates what the price is, it keeps coming up with him joining her peerage. She does, but soon ends up back at the hospital to grant Asuna a wish, thus completing her peerage. She doesn’t know why they were chosen, but maybe they’ll be a help? Also, who’s this devil asking about them? This is a fun one, with the basic story based off another fic later on my list (a long one-shot). Sadly incomplete with 32 chapters and hasn’t updated since 2018 (though the author posted to another story almost a year ago).

Second is Different Than You Dream by brown phantom. It’s a Ranma ½ Au where Akane dreamed the whole story before it started. She sees how she acted and wants a new start. However, when Ranma shows up, it’s immediately obvious that things are different. Eventual Ranma/Akane/Shampoo/Ukyo. This one is also incomplete with 25 chapters and hasn’t updated since 2016. The author has posted to plenty of other stories, but hasn’t completed this one for some reason.

Third is Direct Thee To Peace by Umei no Mai. This is the sequel of Compass of My Soul. It’s a Naruto Clan Wars AU. Kita (SI) has managed to convince the Uchiha and Senju to work towards a lasting peace between them with both sets of brothers alive. Now all she to is navigate the peace talks and what comes after. The village is set up, but things are different from how we know them. How will this new Konoha survive in the end of the clan wars? It is complete and there are no more sequels.

Fourth is Dirty Little Secret by QueenKalasin. This a Harry Potter 7^th book AU. [Content Warning – there are quite a few underage sex scenes. Don’t Like, Don’t Read.] Harry and Ginny decide to fake breaking up at the end of his 6^th year to get Voldy off her back. She sneaks over to Privet Drive after the Dursleys take a vacation and leave him alone. They spend a few days alone. Everyone goes back to Hogwarts and Harry and Ginny have a strange back and forth. A fun and overly emotional fic (especially at the end). And it’s finished!

Fifth and last is Discovering the Legend 1-3 by RoseDragonWitch. This is another Harry Potter characters read the books from the early 2010s. I think this one is the author because there’s an ending fic. They reference that they finished book 4, but my copy only goes through most of book 3. Remus visits the castle during the Order of Phoenix and finds the first 4 books in the Room of Requirement. He takes them back to Grimmwald Place and reads them with Sirus and later other order members. It’s interesting, but I wish I had the rest of the story. (I looked it up and I can find more, but it’ll take a little work)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, readers! Sorry this is so late, I got caught up in other things and kept forgetting to finish the post. Hopefully your new year was better than mine. A close family member accidentally got hurt and I took them to the emergency room. They were able to be back before the turn of the year, but we don’t know how long they’ll have to deal with the effects. However, it’s not as bad as we thought, so that’s good.

Other than that, I’ve finished the DCL Pokédex, but I’m still working on the Alpha dex for both (though I’m only missing Aerodactyl for the main original and trade and evolve the other alpha Pumpkaboo sizes [after I find the largest one]). Some time I’ll talk about what I’m watching for the current season, but I’ll leave that to another time.

The listening changes are – I finished That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol 3 and am now listening to By The Grace of the Gods Vol 7. In it, Ryoma visits the Duke’s house and helps set up for a wedding. He also gets a slave for the first time to help work towards helping rehabilitate criminals.

Also, it turns out last week, I forgot to include that had finished In Another World with My Smartphone Vol 4 as I had gotten to Slime Vol 3 by the end. In this one, Touya goes looking for the second Babylon section. However, the Phrase are still causing problems. Also, he makes a bookshop and ends up helping during a military coup in another country. What will happen next.

Next, I finished Usagi’s Struggles: Revelations From the Future by Serena530 and I decided to listen to In Flight by gabriel blessing. This is an Unlimited Blad Works Shirou (Fate series) and Sekirei crossover. In this one, Shirou is really the main character (Minato) who lost his memories in the fire. He accidentally finds his birth mother while running from the Clocktower and ends up living in Shinto Teito. The Sekirei around are something to be on guard about and use to hide him from the Clocktower. That is until he ends up winging one (or a few) and ends up in another hidden tournament. How will he change things? This is a great completed fic and one of my favorites. I may have to post the silliness the Omakes of this one spawned. There’s even an ‘Emiya Clan’ based on this that crosses over with many stories.

Finally, I reached Vol 11 of The Irregular at Magic High School. This is as far as I wanted to listen to, so the rest will have to wait until I get to it on the list. So I decided to listen to one not from the list, Dahlia in Bloom – Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools by Hisaya Amagishi. It’s an Isekai light novel that follows Dahlia, a magical tool crafter. On the eve of their marriage, her arranged fiancé tells her that he’s found true love and calls off the marriage. This causes her to realize that she’s changed herself to satisfy him and decides to take her life back, by focusing on her work. During a trip, she saves Volf, a noble soldier who had been taken away by a monster. Now their destinies are entwined, the question is – will either ever realize they like each other? It’s a fun and ongoing series and it even has an anime (which isn’t great, but it’s not bad either).

Now, onto the quest, first is Desperately Seeking Ranma by PixelWriter1. This is one that I’ve talked about a few times before, starting here. It’s a Ranma ½ (with slight Sailor Moon crossover at first that becomes more blatant later) AU after the end of the story and things go wrong. Ranma and Kasumi run away, and the Nerima Wrecking Crew is searching for them. This one is written following Nabiki, occasionally others, but mostly her. She manages to find them years later, but many things have changed. It’s very good and long, however the author hasn’t updated it in 9 and ½ years and not posted an update on their profile in almost 4 years. It might be dead, but until I hear it is, I’ll still hold out hope.

Second is the first of the side stories for the above fic, a one-shot It All Started At The Museum. This is the actual first fic in the collection as it is the story of how the OCs (Aiko, Tamiko, Fumiko and Misaki) get their magical girl powers. It’s silly and a bit traumatic for them.

Third is the next story, another one-shot, When Ranma Met Aiko (and Tamiko and Fumiko and Misaki). This one is the story of how (as the title says) Ranma met the OCs before the end of Ranma ½. This one has a very angry Ranma, the magical girls and a demon. Oh, and Ranma dresses-up as a magical girl as well.

Fourth is the two-shot Aftermath. This one actually has the incident where Ranma and Kasumi leave. The first chapter is from Kasumi’s POV and the second one is Ranma’s POV.

Fifth is the final side story, another one-shot The Fugitives. It directly follows the previous one and tells how the two get set up to end up where they are at the beginning of DSR.

Sixth is Destiny is a Hazy Thing byCalanor. This is a massively AU Naruto fic. A fallen fragment of a God ends up in the Naruto world and teams up with the Kyuubi to help heal itself. They decide take a young Naruto in and raise him their way (in a mind-scape). This leads to a different Naruto and a changed landscape as what they did caused massive changes. It’s a great fic with 45 chapters, however it sadly hasn’t been updated since 2014.

The seventh and final is Detective Midoriya by rogueptoridactyl. This is a My Hero Academia AU where Izuku takes All Might’s words to heart and works to become a police officer. Tsukauchi wasn’t expected Izuku to become an officer so quickly, but he’s not going to allow All Might to cause his new colleague to die. It’s an interesting fic, but sadly only has 47 chapters and was last updated in 2021.

That’s it for the week. Oh yeah, I also finished writing the 10^th chapter of my fic and just want someone to tell me how it is before I publish it. Happy Late Christmas

Hello, readers! Sorry this is late, with traveling it’s been a bit hectic. I hope you all had a great holiday, whatever one you celebrate. Mine was fine, but weird because I didn’t open anything on Christmas Day. This was because I did most last week (because we didn’t want to bring presents for ourselves with us) and because we opened with the extended family the night before because of extended family drama (that’s not mine, so I’m not going to post it here). I even opened some on Saturday because some of the family didn’t get in until after Christmas. Had some family health issues, but it’s not bad and is being worked through. I also reached my reading goal for the end of the year Saturday and reached the Th’s on my list.

The only change in my listening was that I finished By The Grace of the Gods Vol 6 and am now listening to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol 3. Rimuru has to deal with the aftermath of the Orc Lord and his new kingdom. However, new allies and foes including some of the demon lords are starting to have an interest in his new kingdom. How will he deal with it? This will probably be the last book I listen to for this one as it is on the list and I’m rapidly getting to it, so will probably just read the rest of the ones that are out.

Just because it was the only one I finished doesn’t mean I haven’t been listening to a lot, just that the others are longer and they’re not finished yet (at least one is very close though). I actually listened to a lot while I was playing Pokémon: Legends Z-A as I had a lot of free time during the week. I’m still 2 Pokémon away from completing the DLC Pokédex (1 special scan legendary and trading a Feebas), but I’ve made good progress on completing the DLC Alpha Pokédex as well (including the regional variants [not including the Hisuian ones as I already have them]).

Onto the quest; first is Death March Part 1- 17. This is the web novel version. I’ve only read through Part 17 as that’s when the main story ends, but I’ll read Part 18 sometime after I finish the list. The main change early between this and the light novels on is that Nana is the only one of her sisters that survive. More changes are there, but I’ve talked about that on earlier posts. Huh, I just found out that there’s even more than on this website that I’ll have to look into later as it ends on 18-39 and I figured there were more and found them. There’s even a what if chapter 19 apparently.

Second is Deku, I think he’s some pro… by Clouds (myheadinthecoudnotcomingdown). It’s a My Hero Academia fic that I mentioned recently on my listening to list here. A quick reminder: Izuku doesn’t get a quirk from All Might and decides to send hero analyses to underground heroes, and they help him become a hero.

Third is Demon Dragon Rider by Leaf Ranger. This one is weird crossover between the Inheritance Cycle series by Chistopher Paolini and Naruto. Eragon finds a Naruto who is thought to be dead during the training trip after an Oto-nin attacks. He trains him as a Rider and Naruto hides his identity. Hinata becomes an ice princess and meets him. Eventual Naru/Hina that’s actually finished.

Fourth is Demon Skylark by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a KHR and Naruto crossover that I’ve talked about before here. Kyouya is reborn as Naruto and changes things a lot. He eventually meets Fem Gaara when he runs away. It’s not very long with 8 chapters and it hasn’t been updated since 2019.

Fifth is Demonic Jewels by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a KHR AU that I’ve talked about before here. Fem. Tsuna (Honoka) is attending an academy for summoners and is assigned to be Hibari’s roommate. Watch as she tries to be the best summoner she can. It has 15 chapters and sadly hasn’t been updated since 2018.

Sixth and last is Desperate by Epeefencer. This is a Harry Potter one-shot set in the summer after fourth year. Arthur Weasley sees Harry’s despair when he visits him because his children are worried about him (they’re not at Sirius’ house). He realizes that he needs to get him out and works to do that. It’s an eventual Harry/Ginny story and worth a read.

It’s a Travel Weekend

Hello, readers. Sorry this one is late. I’ve been traveling for the weekend and while I’ve had time to write; I wanted to relax for the first time in a while. I did get want I’d been trying to done on Tuesday. I’m now visiting with relatives for a week or so. I’ve also finished the complete storyline of the Pokémon: Legends Z-A DLC. I’m still working on getting all the Pokémon because of rerolling the gates and the special scan. I’ve also started getting the alphas for the DLC.

Onto what I’m listening to, I finished Usagi’s Struggles by Serena530 and decided to continue onto its sequel – Usagi’s Struggles: Revelations From the Future. It’s essentially Sailor Moon R in its continuity. In this one, everyone has their memories but that doesn’t mean there aren’t people with lost memory. The Dark Generals are back but with no memory. Also, because of their stronger connection, the bad guy twins have no way to get in between Usagi and Mamoru. It’s on going with 11 chapters and was recently updated.

I also finished Naruto: Rise of the West by azndrgn. I decided to continue with Ashs Just Reward by The Warmongers of Simora. It’s a Pokemon fic I’ve talked about before here. The Legendaries decide to reward Ash for helping them throughout the years. He’s in Alola and has no idea what is coming for him. Sadly still un-updated since 2017.

The final listening update is replacing Crushing on a Devil by TanJaded with Amor Enim Vult by BleedingBlade. It’s a Youjo Senki fic I’ve talked about before here. It’s a Tanya/Visha fic set after Tanya ends the war. It’s one of my favorite ones, but sadly it hasn’t been updated since 2022. Don’t be surprised if you see it again.

So, the first of the quest is Dauntless Dimensions by Night Raydes. It’s a Harry Potter crossover with multiple stories but the main one it says is Skulduggury Pleasant. Harry and Valkyrie are two paired gods that can travel the multiverse. They’ll eventually meet up. It was originally Burst Reality, but the author tended to rewrite and change their fics. I talked about it here when they were Myrddin le Fay. Ginny was his original other half.

The second is Dawn of Magic by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Harry Potter and Yuna of the Dawn crossover I talked about before here. Fem Harry is reborn as Yuna. She escapes by herself and changes things. It has 8 chapters and sadly hasn’t updated since 2019.

The third is Dawn of the Valkyrie by QueenMilaAshdown. It’s a Harry Potter and Avengers crossover. Fem Harry is sent to Loki after he’s taken down in the first Avengers movie by Hela (not MCU one) and after she was put in a bad situation after the war. They fell in love and changed things in the MCU. However, things go wrong and she and Loki use Soul Magic to send her back in time, but she’s not the only one. Watch as they try and fix things. There are also some gay relationships, so don’t like, don’t read. It has 27 chapters and was surprisingly updated after a while early this year.

The fourth is Deadly Curse by seritha. It’s a Harry/Ginny fic set after third year. Harry is bitten by Remus during the time travel part and is now a werewolf. Ginny learns of it and becomes an animagus to help him. It’s complete and an interesting fic.

The fifth and last one is Dear kami, there’s two of them by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Naruto fic that I’ve talked about before here. It’s about Anko’s twin sister Mochi. She kidnaps several characters to help them. It’s unfinished and has 5 chapters, even though it has a semi-sequel.

Lack of Sleep is Not Fun

Hello, readers! Sorry, this is late (I wrote quite a bit on Monday, but even the listen to part was really long), I went to sleep early on Sunday to make sure I got enough for what I needed to do Monday. Or rather, what I thought was Monday, it’s really Tuesday and all the prep I did for it was for naught because I forgot to check the date, so I have to prepare again. It’s fine, I hope I get better sleep (I did a little bit better and managed to make the appointment).

This isn’t even counting that I tried to do this last week and my sleep was so bad I barely made it through the workday (and obviously canceled). However, I finished the main story for the Pokémon Legends Z-A DCL and just have to catch the last legendries and the other Pokémon I don’t have yet. Then I go DCL alpha hunting.

So, what I’m listening to, it’s changed quite a bit, or rather one has. I finished Nozomi of the Sand by sakurademonalchemist. Then I decided to listen to The Quiet Fox by TheBeardedOne. It’s a Naruto fic that’s a little different than others. Other than in-between chapters set in the current time, most of the story is told from one character’s perspective. No character is repeated and this makes it interesting. Naruto saves Hinata from getting kidnapped by making the mob chasing him think the kidnapper is trying to help him. They then end up at the Namikaze estate. It’s an interesting story and even finished!

When that one was finished I started listening to where I’m at currently with Naruto: Rise of the West by azndrgn. It’s a fic based on the Emperor Naruto of the West challenge from a while back. In the challenge – Naruto is kicked out of Konoha after the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. Hinata eventually becomes his Empress, typically leaving with him. They go to West, where they unite it as they are waring. Years later, Konoha is in a bad spot and go to them for help unknowing that Naruto is Emperor. There are also typically many characters from other stories that are part of the West.

In this one, Tsunade is forced to exile him (there are ones where she agrees) and Hinata, Neji, Tenten, Konohamaru and Hanabi follow him. They are almost captured either by Itachi and Kisame or Root agents. They’re saved by Yusuke (from Yu Yu Hakusho) and they follow him to the West (with Itachi and Kisame who voluntarily leave Akatsuki). All the villages are approached many years later to compete in several tournaments in the West. All agree. This fic is completed with 20 chapters.

I also finished In Another World With My Smartphone Vol 3 like, last week, I think? I then listened That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol 2. In it Rimuru meets some new friends and ends up in a battle for the forest. We also get some insight into some characters that will eventually have relevance.

After I finished that one earlier this week, I started listening to By The Grace of the Gods Vol 6. Ryoma participates in an adventurer training camp as a teacher and teaches quite a bit. After that he scares the participants with his battle prowess. Then he manages to save a man who was attacked by bandits, all while getting some new slimes!

As I mentioned I finished Broken Dreams by ThunderReborn last week, I then listened to Breaking the Sky by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Dragon Drive and KHR crossover that I’ve talked about before here. Fem Tsuna gets into Dragon Drive and gets a special box to manifest her dragon Sora into the real world. She shouldn’t have been able to and certain people are trying to find her because of it. It’s only got 11 chapters and is obviously unfinished. After I finished that I started Crushing on a Devil by TanJaded. I mentioned it last week so I won’t go over it again.

Onto the quest, first is Dark Evangel’s Final Task by fg7dragon. This is a Negima! Magister Negi Magi and Harry Potter crossover. Evangeline A.K. McDowell tries to finally kill herself hundreds of years after the end of the Negima! manga. She finds that she can’t and meets Death, who gives her a task to do and then he will make sure she dies. What is that task, but live in and help shape Harry and make sure he destroys one of the Deathly Hallows so they aren’t united. She can’t actually contact him before he’s fourteen, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t doing things. It’s a fun little fic, but it’s sadly incomplete with 9 (actual) chapters and hasn’t been updated since 2012.

Second is Dark Knights by TheBeardedOne. This is a DC Comics story where Clark is found by the Waynes and is raised as Bruce’s brother. When Bruce becomes Batman, Clark becomes Nightwing. It’s got 13 chapters and is finished. It even has a sequel that intersects with another of the author’s fics that is later on the list.

Third is Dark Phoenix of Konoha by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a Naruto fic I’ve talked about before here. I’ve even mentioned listening to it recently. It’s a Naruto trains in secret and is more badass than normal. Sadly incomplete.

Fourth is Darth Vader: Hero of Naboo by AkumaKami64. It’s a Star Wars story, that I apparently only mentioned when I got updates and didn’t talk about the story. So Vader is sent back in time while chasing the Millennium Falcon in Episode 5. He finds himself back on Naboo during the invasion in Episode 1. He determines he’ll change things to go his way. However, he’s not the only one who’s in the past. It’s finished and has a sequel that is currently updating.

The fifth and final is Daughter of Flame by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Harry Potter and Fullmetal Alchemist crossover I’ve talked about before here. In it Fem Harry is actually Roy’s daughter and goes through the Gate to meet him after her fourth year. There she travels with Ed and Al to eventually meet her dad. It’s got 14 chapters and is obviously unfinished with no updates since 2015.

Well, this took a while. Hopefully things are going well with y’all with the Holidays coming up. I’m planning on making sure I relax and maybe reach my quest goal by the end of the year (in case you forgot it’s reaching the Th stories in my side stories). I might be able to finish my final main S story, but who knows. It really depends on how much I read between now and then. I only have 5ish cycles before I reach a Th story, but I have over 10 to finish the S one. Anyway, as always, May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key!

Finally the End of the C’s!

Hello everyone! It’s been a quiet week for, but I expect the coming week to be busier. I’ve mostly gotten an Alpha dex in Pokémon Legends Z-A. All that’s left is the fossils and the some of the one that need to be traded to evolve. I don’t have anyone I trust to trade them back afterwards, so they’ll just need to wait. The fossils will be a long slog of turning the game on and off until I get an Alpha (or a shiny, if I find one).

So, as I finished Yet again, with a little extra help by Third Fang last week, I’ll talk about its replacement(s). First was Shifting Foxes by sakurademonalchemist that I’ve talked about before here. It’s a Pokémon and Naruto crossover set in the Naruto world. Sometime after the time of the games/show/manga a world changing event happened and Pokémon disappeared for a few decades. Now only ninja can get Pokémon. Naruto finds an Eevee that has been experimented on to be able to change into all of its evolutions except the first three. He names it Shifter and it’s his main partner. He has many adventures over the 41 short chapter, including going into the far past. However, it has been updated since 2015.

I actually finished that one as well and am now on Nozomi of the Sand also by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Harry Potter and Naruto crossover I’ve mentioned before here. Fem Harry (Nozomi or Hope) goes to Suna with her ‘family’ after second year and befriends the Gaara and Temari. See the way things were going after third year, she escapes to Suna and becomes a civilian contractor. Watch as she changes things including the Konoha Chunin Exams. It has 15 chapters and was last updated in 2012.

I actually also finished what I had for Broken Dreams by ThunderReborn. However, I haven’t need its replacement yet, so will talk about it next week.

Onto the quest; the first one is Crushing on a Devil by TanJaded. It’s a Youjo Senki fic with Tanya/Visha. The war has ended and they are living in the capital training. After admitting to her fellow commanders that she likes Tanya, they decide to help Visha get together with her. Que amusing antics to try and get the Tanya to realize that she likes Visha. However, they also have to deal with the nobles also trying to get Tanya to marry one of them. It’s a fun 25 chapters, however it hasn’t been updated since 2023. The author has been posting other fics, so maybe they’ll eventually finish this one?

Second is Cuban Pete by Platinumsabr. This is an amusing Avengers one-shot with The Mask influences. During the first Avengers movie, instead of allowing himself to be captured in Germany, Loki decides to do a Cuban Pete scene from The Mask. It’s very funny and worth a read.

Third is Cure to Evil by Mirrond. This is My Hero Academia fic that is a bit different than normal. Izuku is All For One’s son (and has his quirk) with Inko (who’s really a retired villain herself). He’s in charge of the League of Villains and wants to use it to change Hero Society for the better. Starting with killing the OC third ranked hero who almost killed Inko while she was home during a villain fight (not with her). It’s finished and a great read with 62 chapters. Shigaraki even gets a girl!

Fourth and the last C is Cutting Moon, Eclipsed Moon by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Bleach and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha crossover that I’ve talked about before here. Ichigo goes to Uminari and finds a book device and meets up with the TSA. This changes things when he meets Rukia and becomes a Shinigami. It only has 4 chapters and was last updated in 2012.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Hello, everyone! I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a great one! Mine was fine, I had to do a lot of work during a church service because of system issues, but we think we’ve figured it out (I hope {We did!}). They announced who got the upper-level position at work but haven’t put lower-level job up to apply to. Hopefully, it’ll happen soon, but you never know.

So, I’ll talk a bit about the Dungeon Crawler Carl book that I mentioned last time. Carl was chasing his ex-girlfriend’s prized cat (Princess Donut [insert long name I’m not going to repeat]) at night, outside in a blizzard without pants, when the apocalypse came. Aliens flattened all structures and anything that had a ‘roof’. They then announced to the survivors that they had to either live with what was left or join a dungeon crawling game to try and win the planet back. Carl grabbed Donut and bolted to an entrance to survive. He didn’t expect for Donut to gain sapience. Now he has to go through the Dungeon without pants and with a ‘royal’ cat. His most common phrase is “Dammit, Donut.” It’s worth a read and is part of a series.

So, changes to what I’m listening to – I rushed through Yet again, with a little extra help by Third Fang. This is because of what I mentioned about its sequel being next on the list. I read the one right behind it, but I managed to finish and am now reading the sequel. I don’t have its replacement yet, so I’ll mention it next week.

Because of that, I only finished The Echo Ranger by Xavon Wrentaile and that only because I hadn’t read past the 22 chapter. I’m now almost finished catching up to it’s current chapter, 29. The next one I’m listening to is A Hero Rises by Zabeck. It’s a My Hero Academia fic that I’ve mentioned before in the quest here. It’s a longer fic, but I’ll remind people. [*A warning, this has explicit sex scenes, don’t read if you’re underage or aren’t interested*] It’s an Izuku/Himiko/1-A girls fic, just so you’re forwarded.

Onto the quest, first is Constellations by UnwelcomeStorm. This is a Worm and Okami games crossover. Taylor first meets Amaterasu in her great wolf form when she’s lost in the forest at summer camp when she’s young. Taylor names her Sunshine (Sunny) and they meet up irregularly. After her mom dies and she’s alone, Sunny comes saves her flute. After an odd sequence of events, including accidentally convincing Oni Lee that she’s a Miko; she and Sunny end up fixing up an abandoned shrine. It’s an amusing fic and Danny’s even a cape in this one. It has 54 chapters, but hasn’t been updated since 2021.

Second is Contractual Obligation: How Visha Secured her Position as Adjutant for Life by TanJaded. This is a Youjo Senki (which is finally getting a second season next year) short fic. After years, the war is finally over and the 203^rd is back in the capital. Tanya (who’s 18 by now) tells Visha that she won’t be her adjutant forever. Visha decides she doesn’t like that and looks into how she can be her adjutant for life. This leads her an interesting document that means she can take care of Tanya for life. The only thing is getting her to sign it. (And yes, I’m referring to getting married). It’s amusing little finished fic.

Third is Coping Mechanisms by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a KHR fic I’ve mention before here. Tsuna finds out that his mother is more lucid when he’s dressed up as a girl, so he decides to do it more. He’s found out and is helped by Hibari, as long as he helps keeps the girls away. Then Fon breaks the seal, and they really can switch genders. It has 8 chapters and is of course, unfinished since 2017.

Fourth is Corpse Cleaner by also by sakurademonalchemist. It also another KHR fic I’ve mentioned before here. Tsuna is a corpse cleaner in Italy at a young age. He gets along well with the Varia and they helped him to find his grandmother. How will the Vongola deal with a former cleaner as their heir? You’ll barely find out here, because it only has 7 chapters and hasn’t updated since 2019.

Fifth is later in a series, so the first one is The Winged Lord and Lady of the Skies by LilyannaSpiritOfTheCheetah. This one is a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger fic with Tommy/Kimberly. [Warning there is rape and noncon sex scenes at the beginning] While Tommy is under the evil spell, he kidnaps Kim. He does somethings he wouldn’t normally do and they become more connected then normal. They also have a kid. It goes through Turbo.

Next in the series is the actual next one for the quest, Countdown to Destruction. Tommy, Kim and the other rangers are contacted by the Space Rangers about an attack coming to Earth. Will things go the same way as in the show? Read this one-shot to find out.

Sixth and finally is Crimson Typhoon by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Naruto and One Piece crossover that I’ve mentioned before here. Shanks is Kushina’s father and comes for fem. Naruto. She joins his crew and changes things up. It has 8 chapters and is hasn’t been updated since 2014.

I’m getting things ready for Christmas, and I have a recital coming up, but things are normal other than that. So, as always, May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key!

Links Can Make You Late (Reprise)

Hello once again, readers. Sorry this is so late. As the title says, once again I didn’t pay attention to the links for the quest and had to take time to do them. I could have done this yesterday, but I really wanted to finish a physical book I was reading, Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. I got it for Christmas last year and I hadn’t gotten around to it because I was focusing on the quest. However, I completed the side S stories early last week and wanted to spend time finishing a few other stories including this one. It was fun and I’ll read the rest at some point. I’ll talk about it next week because I have a bit to say this time.

I am pleased to announce that I have finished Digimon: Time Stranger! I got all the Digimon I could get before finishing, then completed the game and got the last 5 I needed (all Aegiomon digivolutions). I could do new game + or finish all the achievements (I only have 5 left), but those matter little to me so, maybe, if I get bored.

Onto my week, it was a bit stressful because of the rain and learning that the company didn’t get the leaks fixed from the last time. The clean-up wasn’t as bad as last time and nothing was irrevocably damaged. We had to do some set-up because of the rain that did happen this weekend. I get to see how that worked tomorrow. Fun, right?

I also learned that a slightly higher paying job I’ve tried to get in the company before is most likely opening up. A higher-level position was vacated and someone in the position I’ve mentioned is most likely to get it. I can hope I’ll get it, but past experience hasn’t made me that enthusiastic that I will.

Anyway, to what I’m listening to, the first change is that I finished By the Grace of the Gods Vol 5 and started In Another World With My Smartphone Vol 3. Toya once again manages to stumble on conflict, but this time in Eashen, this world’s equivalent of ancient Japan. Turns out there’s someone using the dead to attack. Will Toya and his girls be able to save the day? And what’s happening in the ruins they originally went to find? Finally, will he finally learn that the girls like him?! All that and more!

I also finished Ginny Returns by kb0 and am listening to Harry Potter, Squatter by Enterprise1701-d. It’s a Harry Potter and Percy Jackson crossover. In it, Harry is taken to New York by the Dursley’s on a business trip and they abandon him. He’s lucky enough to find the Empire State building and end up on Olympus. He squats in a semi-abandoned temple and Hestia finds him. She looks after him and becomes a mother to him. However, some aren’t happy he’s there. I won’t reveal who his Godly parent is, but I did give a small hint. It’s interesting and has 82 chapters. It’s even still updating!

Deku? I think he’s some pro… by Clouds (myheadinthecoudsnotcomingdown) was finished as well and I started The Echo Ranger by Xavon Wrentaile. It’s a My Hero Academia and Power Ranger crossover. Izuku ends up in an antique shop running from his bullies. There he finds an odd three-headed coin that turns into a morphing watch. Tommy Oliver shows up in his dreams and reveals that after the Earth was cut off from the morphing grid and Quirks started to show up, the rangers worked to create the Echo Ranger. They used the still mostly intact power coins of Tommy to give it three modes based on his Green, White and Black powers. Watch as Izuku becomes a Power Ranger in a world of quirks. And will he be the only one? Read and find out! It has 29 chapters and is still ongoing!

So, onto the quest! The first one is Compass of Thy Soul by Umei no Mai. It’s a Naruto fic that I’ve mentioned before here. A person from our world ends up reincarnated into the Naruto world, but instead of the main Naruto storyline; they’re born into the Uchiha in the time of Madara. Kita doesn’t remember much at a young age, but tries to help out. This leads to her being engaged to Madara! Watch as Kita changes things for the better, but maybe not the way canon went. It’s completed and has a finished sequel!

Second is Conflicting Ideals by Razamataz22. It’s a My Hero Academia and Fate series crossover. Grownup Shiro and Rin end up de-aged and in the MHA universe. They try to live alone, but end up caught by the authorities. After trying to escape, they’re offer the chance to go to UA. Watch as Shiro does his best to get the rising heroes to believe in becoming true heroes! And who else would be around, but Archer. How will this end up? It has 73 chapters and is ongoing!

Fourth is Confrontation by ack1308. This one is Worm fic where things go wrong in Taylor’s fight with Lung. Armsmaster convinces her in the hospital to join the Wards. There she meets Shadow Stalker and they hit it off, with neither one knowing who the other is. This can’t go wrong, can it? Completed with a sequel.

Fifth is the sequel, Confrontation II: The Reckoning by ack1308. Taylor and Sophia have learned each other’s identities and now they’re being forced to get used to each other. They even meet Brian and Sophia is interested. Now what is so wrong with that? It’s complete with 10 chapters.

Finally, sixth is Consequences of an Ingenious Mind by White Angel of Auralon. This is a Harry Potter three-shot. Harry hides his intelligence and before third year, decides to change how he does things. Plus, he learns of an interesting way to copy magical tools. Now how would that be useful? A fun little fic.
