I Changed the Archive and Made a Poll (Please Vote!)

Hey everyone! It’s been a week and no one has liked (or really read) any or the posts since I started this style of writing. Therefore, I made a poll that I’ll put a link to at the beginning of the post for the next week while I continue with this style. After those two weeks, I’ll look at the result and use the winning style from now on. Please take some time to vote here – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

I’ve also redone the archive section like I mentioned last time. The only direct chapter links in the Archive will be from the current month. When we get to February, I’ll move the January post links to a January page and put a link to it in Archive. When 2019 ends (and I hopefully will still be posting and have more people reading my posts), I’ll do what I did with my 2018 posts and move the month links to a new 2019 page that will be linked on the main Archive page.

These past few days I’ve read some more of Outfoxed and Lord Over the Night Sky and started rereading Prime Directive: Hero, How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk and Taylor Varga. The new chapters were from: Tsunami, Service with a Smile, Reality Bites Worm, My Hero Academia (manga chapter), It’s in the Cards, Heroes Assemble!, Taylor Varga and Death March (the online story).

Since I liked the fanfic Archer from last post, I decided to look into other stories by the author Fencer22. The first one that caught my eye was ‘Flames’ which is a Worm and KHR crossover. The only real crossover is that Taylor triggers with Dying Will flames, but not Sky. Instead of the normal Taylor’s outlook of becoming a Hero, this Taylor is more practical and wants money to prepare for the imminent end of the world (and explains why she thinks so). It’s interesting, though it only has 13 chapters. If you would like to read it, here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13042230/1/Flames.

The other one I found interesting was ‘Grind,’ which is a Worm and multiple crossover fic. It has Taylor triggering with the power to enter any type of story (Book, DVD or game) and gain the power(s) of whatever characters she or anyone she brings along play as. The only issue, they have to go through the whole story. For example, when she goes into the first book, she’s stuck ‘reading’ the book and doing whatever the main character does for four hours until the end of it, basically outing herself. It’s a good story, sadly the author decided they could not write it anymore and just posted a spattering of scenes leading up to an ‘ending’ for the last chapter. So, if you feel you can read it and not be disappointed with that ending, feel free to read it here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11375309/1/Grind.

Next, sakurademonalchemist posted a new story called, ‘Breaking the Gilded Cage.’ It’s a KHR and Natsume’s Book of Friends crossover, with a female Tsuna turning back time to her younger self to get away from the Vongola and instead taking the route of Takashi from Natsume’s Book of Friends. It’s only two chapters long so far, but it’s not bad. Kinda hard to make a decision about how a story will be in two chapters. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13166072/1/Breaking-the-Gilded-Cage.

Following that I found the fic ‘Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R-eset’ by Starlight’s Poet. It’s a Lelouch of the Rebellion story with side stories like Code Geass: Akito of the Exiled and game storylines included. It starts off with Lelouch getting the chance to relive his rebellion from the start and him taking it. He’s more powerful this time and knows what happened to his mother, so he can focus on taking down Britannia. The story is interesting and I haven’t finished it yet up to the current chapter yet, so I hope it continues to be so. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10704227/1/Code-Geass-Lelouch-of-the-Rebellion-R-eset.

Finally, I started rereading ‘Neo Yondaime Hokage’ by Psycho G. The story is a Naruto one where Minato not only seals the Kyuubi into Naruto; he also seals himself. Naruto grows up as Tsunade’s ‘son’ and soon finds multiple women after him. But, just because he is stronger doesn’t mean he’ll bulldoze through fights. He still will have issues, just different ones than the normal ones. He even accidentally visits the ‘canon’ universe and changes things for the better! It hasn’t been updated since 2015, but hopefully it will eventually be updated. Here is the link to the story – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3201446/1/Neo-Yondaime-Hokage.

Going back to more of what I watched during my ‘Christmas break from blogging’ (I’ll be doing one or two movies/shows for the next few posts because I watched a lot during that time period) I watched “The Mummy Returns” from the Mummy series. I’ve seen it and the rest of the series before, but I always enjoy rewatching them. Watching Rick and Evelyn O’Conner battle it out against Imhotep while trying to save their son is great. I was sad Evelyn didn’t return for the third movie, but it was good anyway. Not sure which one is my favorite, though the third one was probably my least favorite. I would recommend any of them though if you haven’t watched them yet!

To finish it off, I watched “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” I would have liked it better if I had read the story before hand, but it was what was decided to watch at that time. I found it interesting, even if I missed the first part. I’ll probably read the books sometime, but I think I’ll like the books better because it looks like they just crammed the second book at least into the last 30 mins of the movie.

Anyway, that’s the end of the post today! Look forward to the post on Monday and don’t forget to vote! Here’s the link again, just in case – https://linkto.run/p/24VJOOZJ.

Happy 2019!

Happy New Year! So this on this last weekend of the year 2018, I actually have less than normal because I had work today and Friday. I finished rereading Light the Blue Touch Paper and Run Like Hell and Harry Potter and the Dark Lady. The new chapters this weekend were: Ashes to Flame, Mauling Snarks (Fri & Mon), Relic of the Future, Gun Bunny, 4 chapters of An Essence of Silver and Steel, Reading Chronicles Book 1: To the Victor, the Spoils, Heroes Assemble!, The Unseen Hunt, and Deku: The Telekenetic Hero.

Again, I’ll start with the fanfiction and movie to TV shows and movies after that. The first one I’ll talk about is ‘Lord Over the Night Sky’ by Triser. It’s a Harry Potter and Lyrical Nanoha crossover where Vernon takes Harry to Japan when they first get him and drop him off at an orphanage. Harry ends up with Hayate and gets the ‘Book of Darkness’ instead of her. Things change and do so even more when Harry (and the others) gets his letter to Hogwarts. The chapters are shorter and the spelling is sometimes off, but it’s good otherwise. I’ve only reread 17 chapters of the 114, but this is also the first of several stories in the storyline. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7018702/1/Lord-Over-the-Night-Sky.

Next is ‘Outfoxed’ by hazeleyes180. It’s a Naruto fic where a female Kyuubi trains Naruto after things happen when he’s younger. It’s a harem fic for Naruto with girls like Hinata and Anko. He gets stronger fast, but it doesn’t mean things are easier for him. There’re no R Rated things, but they do skirt around it. The unfortunate thing is that it hasn’t been updated since August 2016. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8211184/1/Outfoxed.

Following that is the (current) last story in the Witches Secret triology, ‘Harry Potter and the Corvinus Strain.’ The story is mostly on the Witches Secret fanfiction story, it’s just missing the last two chapters. These last two can be found on the Yahoo group Rotaryfile. It mixes strongly with Underworld series. As I haven’t watched it, I can’t say anything about how the author portrays it. It’s interesting, but there’s really no one who can stop Harry in the story.

Then there was ‘Archer’ by Fencer22. It’s a Worm and Fate/Stay Night crossover where Taylor gets Archer (Counter Guardian EMIYA) as her powers, with him teaching her how to use them. She’s put under Master/Stranger protocols immediately and has to deal with them for a while. There were eight chapters when I read it, but a new chapter came out today. It’s good and I look forward to it continuing. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13137917/1/Archer.

I also read another new story by Selector called, ‘Titanfall.’ It’s a Titanfall and Worm crossover, with Taylor calling a Titan with an AI when she Triggers. It’s interesting, but only 4 chapters so far. Again, never played Titanfall, so I can’t comment on it.  Taylor’s been out all four chapters, so it will be fun once she’s up. Find out here at this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13083668/1/Titanfall.

I haven’t watched anything this weekend, but I never finished what I saw last week. The first I’ll mention is “Meet the Robinsons.” I really like this movie and the music in it. It’s about a child inventor, Lewis, who thinks he’ll never amount to anything and how a young boy, Wilber, from the future works to change his mind. It’s has a good theme of never give up and to ‘Keep Moving Forward.’ This is a great movie for all ages.

I also watched “Kubo of the Two Strings” for the first time. It was a great movie, but a sad one. I was called to help with something for the last scene, but luckly I have it here at home and was able to finish it recently. It was a different kind of animation, but it wasn’t bad. Also a great movie for all ages.

I watched part one episode of “Love It of List It” on HGTV. It was okay. The wife was kinda, I don’t really want to stay here, but I think any of the ones I’m being shown are right either. I didn’t see the end, but hopefully they found what they wanted.

I also watched a few episodes of ‘Property Brothers’ (yeah, there were a lot of building/buy house shows on, I know). It was interesting, but there a lot of issues and the main episode I saw had rich kids buying their first house and calling daddy for extra money of unnecessary additions. So, I’d have to see more to really get an opinion.

I’ll also be making a 2018 section for the archive this week, look forward to it. See everyone on Thursday and have a happy start to 2019!

Happy Early Christmas!!

Tuesday

Hello mina! Today, I read more God Slaying Blade Works. The new chapters today were from Black Sky and Reality Bites Worm. I also watched some Eyeshield 21 anime.

I read some comics from project-ml on DeviantArt. They are all based on Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and were typically about the reveal of each other’s identities. The first one was ‘Love Bug’ and is set around Valentines Day a year from the one in first season and has 5 chapters. The rest are shorter, but some of them are called: ‘Why Chat Does Not Prank His Lady’ and ‘Halloween Reveal.’ These can be found at their gallery here – https://www.deviantart.com/project-ml/gallery/.

There was also a short chapter from another Miraculous story called ‘Email Exchange’ by XphiaDP. Instead of the characters getting their Miraculous, they are set up with a secret email exchange with another student who you don’t know the name of. The story follows the emails between ‘Ladybug’ and ‘Chat Noir.’ The link to the fic can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12242473/1/Email-Exchange.

There was also a fun little one-piece from the Fate universe called ‘Shirou and Lancer Drink Tea’ by Lord Mendasuit. Instead of Lancer killing Shirou again at his house, Shirou offers him tea and informs him that he is a mage, thus doesn’t need to be killed. This leads to amusing events and an interesting conclusion. It also reminded me of a fun little omake at the end of chapter 41 of From Fake Dreams that has waffles changing the course of the Fifth Grail War. The link to the one piece is here –  https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10734607/1/Shirou-and-Lancer-Drink-Tea and the link to the chapter with the omake is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7207791/41/From-Fake-Dreams.

That’s it for today, folks. See you tomorrow!

Wednesday

It was once again a day full of God Slaying Blade Works and watching some more Eyeshield 21. The new chapters today were from: Black Sky, Organization 13 and a Half, It’s in the Cards, and Heroes Assemble! I also reread another one of sakurademonalchemist’s stories that I haven’t mentioned yet.

This one is called ‘Sight Unseen’ and is a crossover between Natsume’s Book of Friends and KHR. It has a female Tsuna getting taken from his mother’s custody and placed with her grandfather. Then she takes on the role of Takashi from Natusme’s Book of Friends. Oh, did I mention that she’s been shunted back to her younger self and has the gamer system? Watch how this mash-up turns out, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12904481/1/Sight-Unseen.

Since it came out on DVD yesterday, I also took the time to rent “A House with a Clock in Its Walls” with Jack Black. It’s based on the book of the same name by John Bellairs. When his parents die, Lewis is sent to his Uncle Johnathan. However, his Uncle and his neighbor Florence seem to hiding something. He eventually learns that magic is real and the house is alive (and likes him). He starts to learn magic himself. But, what’s with that clock that’s inside the walls? I liked this movie, but I’m glad I waited until it was available to rent because it wouldn’t have been worth seeing in theaters.

Nothing more for today people, see everyone when I post tomorrow!

Thursday

It was God Slaying Blade Words and Eyeshield 21 again, but I also started rereading It’s in the Cards as well. There were new chapters from: Under the Sea, Demon Lord of the End, Black Sky (chapter 300!), and Mending the Knots. I also saw a trailer for a new Men In Black called Men in Black International. It has Liam Neeson, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in it and looks interesting. It’s in theaters in June next year.

The only other thing I did today (other than play some of the new proud mode levels on KHUx) was watch the ending and then the beginning of two movies on TV. I watched the later half of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”  To be honest I’m a bigger fan of the first movie, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”  While I like Johnny Depp, I felt this character and story was trying too hard.  Maybe I’m just biased, but those are my thoughts on it.

I watched the beginning of “The Santa Clause 2.” I agree with what some of my relatives said, that it’s the best of the three movies. My list goes: 2, 1, and then 3. The first one is good, and a classic, but the second one has a much better story and plot (in my opinion). The third was just another example of a franchise trying to overreach itself. If they had stopped at the second one I would have been perfectly happy.

That concludes today! I have decided skip next Monday’s post on Christmas (Happy Early Christmas/Holidays Everyone!), so my next post will be next Thursday. See you then!

I Have an Archive Now

Friday

So, like I mentioned last post, I made an archive for my posts. A link to it can be found on the menu at the top of the main blog. It is separated into months for now, but I will be working on it so that it will be better accessible. I read some more God Slaying Blade Works, but mainly focused on Desperately Seeking Ranma. The only new chapter for today was from Mauling Snarks.

Because I was busy with life, I didn’t read much else today. Therefore, I’ll talk about Shokugeki no Soma (or as the American’s have renamed it, Food Wars!). It’s about Soma Yukihara, a teenager who loves cooking and wants to surpass his father and take over the family restaurant. However, when his father leaves to travel the world, he sends his son to an elite culinary school called, Totsuki Saryo Culinary Institute. They only take the best and he does get in, but the school has an interesting practice, Shokugeki (or Food War). It’s a contest between people where both sides put have agreed to something happening if they lose (like giving the other person their position of power within the academy or agreeing to let a club continue instead of disbanding it). Watch how Soma and his friends learn more about how to cook while dealing with the challenges in their way. It’s fun and I need to catch up on it. It started off as a manga, but now has 3 anime seasons.

Nothing more today, so I’ll end this part here.

Saturday

I read a bit more God Slaying Blade Works, but again was mostly Desperately Seeking Ranma. The new chapters for today were: Stand Together and Smile (the last one of this story, with a maybe sequel in the future), Relic of the Future, Ashes to Flame, Stark Imprint and Heroes Assemble! I didn’t read much else, but I did watch parts of a few animes.

The first one was the first half of the first season of Initial D. Initial D (for initial drift) is an anime/manga about street racing by Shuichi Shigeno. It’s about Takumi (Tak) Fujiwara, who has been delivering tofu from his dad’s shop to hotels and other places on the other side of the mountain nearby every day before sunrise. He has become very good at driving it with his father’s (unbeknownst to him) subtle training. This has led him to not care very much about driving or racing, to his friends at the gas station he works at horror. One of his friends is on the local street racing team, which is challenged to a downhill race. Upon hearing that Tak’s father was once a famous street racers, he is asked to do the race. He instead sends Tak in his Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE86) with a promise that if he wins, he can take the car for a date with a full tank of gas. He wins, but then becomes more involved in the street-racing world.   It’s a good anime and manga. It’s finished now with 719 chapters in the manga, 5 anime seasons, three movies and several OVAs.

The second one was a few episodes of Gurren Lagann. Gurren Lagann is one of the best ‘manly’ mecha animes around. It’s about Simon and Kamina, two humans, who, like the rest of their species, are forced to live in underground villages in a dystopian future by the Spiral King, Lordgenome. They dream of going to the surface and eventually get the chance to with a mecha named Lagann and a hot girl named Yoko. They eventually form Gurren Lagann, a team to free the world of the rule of Lordgenome and the beast men. It’s got 27 episodes that will make you laugh and cry, along with make you want to shout, “Who the hell do you think I am!”

I also heard that someone stole the KHIII game from a shipping company and that’s they’re playing and selling copies. I’m not happy with that for multiple reasons, but I’m not gonna pay attention to any information that’s not verified from the makers. Looking forward to the last trailer on Tuesday though. That’s it for now; tomorrow’s only a line away!

Sunday

Today was once again full of Desperately Seeking Ranma, with maybe a chapter of God Slaying Blade Works. The new chapters today were: The Unseen Hunt, Prime Directive: Hero and Tsunami. I didn’t do much else except for watching someone play through to where the Japanese version of KHUx (KH Unchained x) is (about 35 ‘episodes’ ahead) and learned what Larxene’s real name is (but I’m not gonna say).

I also read a fanfiction by VFSNAKE called ‘Naruto of the Saiyans.’ It has Bardock ending up on the Kyubi’s back instead of dying and getting sealed into Naruto as well. He and the Kyubi work together to change Naruto into a Saiyan and their work comes together when Orochimaru seals Naruto’s seal in the Forest of Death. When his teammates leave him for dead, he comes back better than even and plans to never be a pawn again. It has eight chapters currently and is infrequently updated.

R Rated Content

There are sexual situations, but no actual sex. This is currently limited to the omakes at the end of the chapters, but may come into the story itself later on.

Because I don’t have anything else, I’ll talk about Full Metal Panic! Full Metal Panic! is a light novel turned anime by Shoji Gatoh. It’s about a former child soldier, now a part of an anti-terrorist private military organization (Mithril), named Sousuke Sagara. He’s sent to Japan to protect a high school girl named Kaname Chidori, along with his teammates Kurz Weber and Melissa Mao. Why she’s being protected and who’s targeting her are unknowns to them.

Sousuke is sent to her school, but as he has never been in a ‘normal’ situation, he is considered a military nut and Kaname is very annoyed that he keeps trying to protect her. Eventually, the enemy attacks and everything is revealed, including the reason why bipedal machines even exist in a world that is not that different from our own. It’s a good series with 23 novels and 4 anime series (including one that’s just for silliness and is awesome called Fumoffu, the name is eventually explained).

Have a great day and I’ll see everyone when I post tomorrow!

Monday

Today was yet again full of Desperately Seeking Ranma, but the end is in sight. The new chapters for today were: Move On: Tales of Marinette & Adrien, Black Sky (there is going to be a full week of updates! Sqweee! [yes, I’m excited, so what?]), Mauling Snarks, Celestial Worm and Death March (Yay!). There was also the early release of the last KHIII trailer! Which can be found here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz1w_uW3lSE.  There’s so much info and WTF in it, I don’t know what to think. Still looking forward to Jan 29th though.

I watched the first few episodes of Death Parade, but it’s not really catching my interest. I really like the opening theme, but the series just seems kinda meh to me. It’s about how if two people die at the same time, instead of just being judged, they are sent to Decim at the Quindecim bar to play a game to discover where their souls belong (reincarnation or the void). A female human with no name works as his assistant, learning how to judge human souls, while helping Decim learn how to read into the emotions behind the actions.

That’s a wrap for today, looking forward to posting on Thursday! I may take off for Christmas after that, but I don’t know yet. I’ll mention it next time if I decide to. See you then!

The End of the Death March (for now)

Tuesday

Today was once again, more Death March. I got only got to part 30 of act 16, but that was because I finished watching SkywardWing’s play through of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded. The new chapters for today were from Service with a Smile, Paranormal Investigator Squad (now with a 5 Nights at Freddie’s crossover), It’s in the Cards and Reality Bites Worm. I also started watching Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, also from SkywardWing. After that it’s just 0.2 and Back Cover (since I’m playing and keeping up with Kingdom Hearts Unionx on my phone) and I’ll be ready for Kingdom Hearts 3 next year! I also forgot to mention, make sure you watch the new opening movie trailer for KH3 with the new theme, Face My Fears, it’s great. I’ll put a link here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VawSnaxtSI.

I’ll talk about a show that I rewatched a little bit of today called Princess Tutu. It’s about a story about a Prince and a Raven’s battle that wasn’t completed because the author died, escaping into the real world. However, the author made sure he would be able to direct things even if he died. Because things weren’t moving along, the author introduced a new element to the story, by giving a duck that had fallen in love with the Prince the ability to turn into a girl. She is also the only one who can return his heart shards to him (he shattered his heart to seal away the Raven). However, is this what he really wants?

It’s a pretty good, if a bit dark at times, story. It’s based on ballet and Duck’s or Ahiru in the Japanese version (which means duck anyway) transformed state, Princess Tutu, helps whichever character is in trouble that episode by dancing with them. There’s a dark twist in the middle and the ‘author’ is working against them most of the time, but I’ve always enjoyed it anyway. The first line of the anime is ‘Once upon a time, there was a man who died.’ Be sure to look it up.

That’s it for today, see everyone tomorrow!

Wednesday

I finished Death March today! Or at least up to where the story is currently. I’m glad I read it since the 78th part update cause I would have been worried until the next one if it had ended on the 77th. The next post on the Japanese story will be on the 16th, so I suspect that it will be translated on the 17th or 18th so I’ll look for it then. The new chapters for today were – Another Fine Mess, Seperated at Birth, Warlock Organization 13 and a half, and Heroes Assemble!

I started rereading the fanfiction ‘God Slaying Blade Works by Marcus Galen Sands. It’s a crossover between Fate/Heaven’s Feel and Campione! where when Illya and Shirou are about to face Angra Mayu, they are transported (because of the Grail and Rin’s use of the Kaleidoscope) to the Campione! world. Shirou kills Angra Mayu and becomes a campione. He works with Illya to get home to Sakura, while trying to figure out what to do with his new powers and friends. He joins the main story after the fight with Voban. I enjoy this story, but I wish it was updated more frequently. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8560965/1/God-Slaying-Blade-Works.

That’s all I did today, other than sleeping a lot. Looking forward to posting tomorrow!

Thursday

Today I continued reading God Slaying Blade Works, along with a few chapters of Desperately Seeking Ranma. The only new chapters that came out today is for Master Potter of Kamar-Taj. I also finished rewatching Princess Tutu, which was as good as I remember it being.

The only new thing I read today was “Roku de nashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records” or “Akashic Records of a Bastard Magic Instructor” by Tarō Hitsuji. It’s about Glenn Radars, who is a lazy person that has been mooching off his former magic instructor for a year. She forces him to become a magic instructor at a famous magic school, even though he hates magic. There he meets Rumia Tingel and Sistine Fibel who he eventually takes a liking to and all three help each other through the coming events. Though he’s like this now, he was once an assassin for the crown and he uses those skills to take on the opponents that try to harm his students. It was originally a light novel (that has 13 volumes and is still ongoing), it now has an anime and a manga version. I read the first book and watched all 12 episodes of the anime today. It’s pretty good and I’ll want to read the rest, but we still don’t really know what the Akashic Records are.

Also, thought I haven’t used it myself, I’m aware that PVP became available on PoGo today. I’ll try it out soon and mention what I think of it on here. I’m also going to look into making a page where you can see the archived posts without having to search through the main page, look forward to it!  See you when I post again on Monday!

It’s a Death March Weekend!

Friday

Today (and most of this weekend, at least) I’ll be rereading and then catching up with the web novel I mentioned last post, Death March. I got the 43rd part of the 10th act before I started writing this post. The new chapters today are – Ashes to Flame, Tsunami, and Mauling Snarks.

There was also a new chapter for a story I haven’t mentioned yet, ‘Devil Ninja’ by The Engulfing Silence. It’s a crossover between Naruto and High School DxD, where Naruto ends up in the DxD world with no chakra. He ends up at Kuoh Academy a month before the start of DxD, how will his being there change things? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9775478/1/Devil-Ninja.

R Rated Content

Yeah, so this one does have sex and sexual situations in it. Just in case anyone doesn’t want to read that stuff (or is underage).

R Rated Content

The extra story I’ll talk about today is one I mentioned earlier, “The Prince of Tennis” (it was when I was talking about the abundance (and variety) of sports manga/anime. The Prince of Tennis is a story by Takashi Konomi about a young tennis prodigy named Ryoma Echizen who just returned from America with his family. He ends up at Seishun Academy (it’s a middle school) and joins its strong tennis team. After beating some of his seniors, he ends up on the team’s regulars. They work together to try and get to and win the National Middle School Tennis Championship. However Ryoma also wants to get better to win against his Dad (who’s much better than him). It’s an older series, but it’s still popular. The original series ran for 42 manga volumes and had 178 episodes. It has a sequel ongoing called “New Prince of Tennis” which is about after the Nationals and onto the Worlds. I recommend this one very much.

Nothing more today, see everyone tomorrow!

Saturday

Once again, I read more Death March and got to near the middle of the 13th act at part 20. The new chapters for today were Reincarnation Roulette, Relic of the Future and Heroes Assemble! There was really nothing else today, so onto my replacement story, next paragraph!

I’ll go more in-depth for another story I mentioned about when I talked about sports, “Eyeshield 21” by Riichiro Inagaki. It’s about Sena Kobayakawa, a high school freshman at Deimon High who is a frequent gopher for bullies. His childhood friend, Mamori, protects him, but he finds it embarrassing. The only thing he has going for him is his speed. The devil captain and quarterback of the ‘American Football’ club (yeah, so looked this up and it turns out that this and football of the rest of the world have the same base sport that split when football decided to not use hands. Soccer was a slang term for “Association Football” (no hands) in Europe, but is now only used in North America. Don’t know why “Rugby Football” decided to drop ‘Rugby’, but now there are two footballs. Who knew), Hiruma sees him and tricks him into becoming the third member of the team (along with Kurita, a lineman) as the running back (they borrow members from other teams until they eventually get a full roster). To hide his identity, Sena pretends to be the manager and during the games wears a tinted Eyeshield and has the number 21 (thus Eyeshield 21). Sena gains confidence and grows as they strive to get to the Christmas Bowl. This is another oldie, but goodie. It has 37 manga volumes and 145 anime episodes.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Love Ya, Tomorrow. You’re Only a Day Away!

Sunday

I only got to the end of part 13 of Death March today, but that’s because I reread (and caught up on) Deku: The Golden Saiyan Hero of Hope that had a new chapter today. The other new chapters were from An Unseen Hunt and an omake for Taylor Varga. Once more I read nothing else new, so its time for the talk about another series!

This time is “Cross Game” a baseball series by Mitsuru Adachi, who has written several other baseball and sport series. Cross Game is about Ko Kitamura, who is a great pitcher. His childhood friend, Wakuba Tsukishima (the second daughter in the family), treats him as her boyfriend and wants him and her sister Aoba (the third daughter) to get along. Her last dream she relays to them before she dies in an accident while they’re in elementary school is for them (Ko and Aoba) to go to Koshien (the high school baseball championship) together. He eventually joins the baseball team in high school and she becomes the manager because she can’t join the team (even though she hates him, mostly). They overcome the team’s difficulties and work toward their goal of making that dream come true. It’s a sweet story, though it has a sad beginning. It has 17 volume of manga and 50 anime episodes (I really love the opening and closing themes!). I very much hope you read/watch this one.

See everyone when I post tomorrow! (also did anyone else see the new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 with part of the new opening theme! It looks and sounds great, though I’m sad we won’t be able to hear the full version unless we pre-order/get the album and even then not until it comes out on Jan 18 a week before the game comes out).

Monday

So today I got to part 20 of act 15 (the middle of it) of Death March. There are only 16 acts currently, but it (again currently) has 78 parts and an intermission. I may finish tomorrow, but I should be finished on Wednesday at the latest. The new chapters today are Mauling Snarks and How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk.

There was a new chapter for a story from ack1308 called, ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ It’s a Worm fic where Danny and his wife Annette were a hitman team called Dark. They stopped after Taylor was born, but when Taylor is put in the locker and her favored dog (only in this fic) is stolen, he dons his former identity to get back the dog and get revenge for his daughter. It only had 3 chapters (and is infrequently updated), but it has an interesting beginning. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11811377/1/Are-You-Afraid-of-the-Dark.

For today’s new series, I’ll take a break from the sports and Japanese stories. “The Hardy Boys” by several people under the pen name Franklin W. Dixon is an older children’s mystery series about brothers Frank and Joe Hardy. They’re teenagers who are amateur detectives, following after their father who is also one. They usually assist their father or stumble onto something with his cases. The original series was started in 1927, but were revised in 1959 to be less racist and simpler. It ran until 2005, when “Undercover Brothers” started. That ran until 2012 and “The Hardy Boys Adventures” started in 2013. The original series has 190 books (though some only consider the first 58 to be ‘canon’). It’s a fun series for your kids, I should know I read some when I was young!

See you, my readers, when I post on Thursday!

An Irregular and Meltan Weekend (with some other things mixed in)

Friday

Today I finished The Irregular at Magic High School book 18 and read book 19 and read some more of Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Mauling Snarks, Ashes to Flame and History’s Strongest Disciple Again? (the one I beta read). I also read some more sakurademonalchemist.

The first new one (again for me, not overall) was ‘Swords of a Devil.’ It’s a Type Moon Universe and High School DxD crossover where Shirou is a devil and is kidnapped by the Church after he is adopted.   It was for the Holy Swords project that Kiba was a part of and it tempers his ‘saving people’ thing. Watch as he changes things, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11974930/1/Swords-of-a-Devil.

The other new one was ‘Queen of the Grimm.’ It’s a Once Upon a Time and Grimm crossover. Grimm is a TV Series about Nick Burkhardt who is a Grimm. A Grimm can see the true form of Wesen, which are part human and part animal. He defends his city from evil Wesen and helps those in trouble.

The story has Regina leaving Emma in charge of the town in order to get away from the Charmings and her mother. She ends up in Portland, OR and meets Nick. She is also a Grimm and helps him and others out. Here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11555943/1/Queen-of-the-Grimm.

I also watched the first few episodes of “Storage Wars: Northern Treasures.” It was okay, but the original is so much better. There’s way too much animosity and bad mouthing in this one. In the original, while they were competing, it was more of a friendly rivalry most of the time. In this one, they just seem to hate each other. I wouldn’t really recommend it, personally.

Nothing more for today, see you tomorrow.

Saturday

Today, I read more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat. There were new chapters for Relic of the Future, Harry Potter and the Stargate and Heroes Assemble! and Black Sky (Yay, it’s back. Though it’s only sporadically for now). Other than that I watched some more episodes of The Irregular at Magic High School. It was kinda a slow day.

I’ll talk about the Artemis Fowl series. It’s an 8 book series about Artemis Fowl, a genius middle school student who wants to make back the money his family had lost. He decides to do this by stealing from the fairies, who he had found out were real. He kidnaps a LEPRecon (Lower Elements Police, Recon division, because they live underground) Captain, Holly Short. The first book has him against LEPRecon, but they’re on sort of the same side after that. I like the series a lot and am looking forward to the movie I heard about next year.

Hope to have more tomorrow!

Sunday

Today was more Escape from the Hokage’s Hat and episode of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for The Unseen Hunt and two short omakes for Taylor Varga. Other than that I worked on the Let’s Go, Meltan PoGo tasks and finally got to the fifth set with needing to do 10 raids tomorrow to complete it and a few chapters of Mists of a Dawning Sky.

Since I, once again, have very little, I’ll talk about the Outlander series. Outlander is a book series about Claire Randall who is having a second honeymoon with her husband Frank (after WWI) in Scotland. She goes through a stone circle and ends up in 1743 and gets caught up in the Scots revolt of the time. She meets Jamie Fraser and has to make a decision: try and get back to her time or live her life here. There are eight books out now with at least one more on the way. I like this book series and the TV series follows it well (overly so in some cases).

R Rated Content

There is sex in the series, but the main warning I’ll give is that there is a graphic scene in both the book and TV series where there is a male raping another male. Just to give fair warning.

That’s it for today, see everyone where I post tomorrow.

Monday

Today, I finished rereading Mists of the Dawning Sky, finished watching the first (and currently only) season of The Irregular at Magic High School and completed the Let’s Go, Meltan quests (even though I already had more than a few Meltans from sending Pokémon to Let’s Go). There were new chapters for Reincarnation Roulette, Mauling Snarks and Seerking’s Asylum. I read some more sakurademonalchemist again.

I reread their story, ‘Flames of the Black Cat,’ which is a Black Cat and KHR crossover. Black Cat is about a Sweeper (bounty hunter) named Train Heartnet who is a former member of an assassination organization called Chronos. He and his companions have to fight against Chronos and later his former best friend’s (who killed his girlfriend for changing him from an assassin) organization. I like both the anime and manga and definitely recommend it.

The story has Train reincarnating as female Tsuna, who has a male twin. Realizing he/she’ll be in a bad situation later, Train leaves and becomes a hit woman (though she hides her gender). Watch as she changes the plan of the Vongola just by existing and finds a few more reincarnated friends, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12918478/1/Flames-of-the-Black-Cat.

The other story I reread was ‘Fated Bonds,’ which is a Fate/Stay Night and Naruto crossover. It has Archer Emiya summoned along with the Shinigami. He leads a life as a blacksmith in Konoha until he finds his ‘summoner’ a young Naruto. He takes Naruto in and helps change Sasuke’s fate. Find out how by following this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12288979/1/Fated-Bonds.

Finally, I read ‘The Witch of 221b Baker Street,’ which is a Sherlock and Harry Potter crossover. It has Female Harry becoming disillusioned by the magical world after 4th year and getting away rather than being used. She becomes Joanne Watson and ends up as Sherlock’s roommate. You can find the story, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12245680/1/The-Witch-of-221b-Baker-Street.

There was also a new chapter for a story by ack1308 called ‘Another Way.’ It’s a Worm story where Amy (or Amelia in this case) is never taken from her father (because he isn’t captured). She grows up as a supervillain’s daughter and it changes her. Read how by following this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11481821/1/Another-Way.

Sherlock is a 3 episode per season, British TV series that has Sherlock in modern London. It’s okay, but has a habit of leaving the audience at a cliffhanger for a while (There was some time between season 1 and 2 if I remember correctly).

There was also a new chapter of a story by Kenichi618 called ‘Shinobi of the High Seas.’ It’s a Naruto and One Piece crossover where Naruto is immortal and after some time looking after the Elemental Nations, (he leaves Konoha to be a protector of the EN when he finds out he’s immortal. He never had a family with Hinata) he decides to see the rest of the world. He eventually meets Luffy early on his (Luffy’s) journey and hangs out with him for a while. He gets his own ship and crew. Find out how he interacts with the One Piece world here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6314806/1/Shinobi-of-the-High-Seas.

I’m writing this before I head out to a showing of the new Pokémon movie – “The Power of Us” and will write a little about it when I get back before I post this. Which will be here –

I really liked it, the movie did a good job of mixing Pokémon and real world problems everyone has. One of the main ones, and relevant to most people, is that lies only cause problems, not solve them. Lies cause a lot of the problems in the movie that could have easily been avoided otherwise. I would definitely recommend The Power of Us. It’s showing in select theaters on the 28th and the 2nd. There still might be tickets left if you want to see it (there were less than 10 people including me in the theater tonight). Hope you like it too!

Thanks for reading and see everyone on Thursday!

Happy Turkey Day!! (Thanksgiving)

Tuesday

Today, I finished Uzumaki Naruko: To the Victor, the Spoils. There was only a new chapter for Revenant. Other than watching the first ten episodes of the The Irregular at Magic High Shcool, I mostly played PoGo, KHUx and Fate/GO. I was mostly busy with relatives and Thanksgiving prep.

In recompense, I’ll talk about the Inkworld Trilogy. It starts with the first book, Inkheart. It’s about a father (Mortimer or Mo), who repairs old books and his daughter (Meggie) who have a special ability, to read people and characters into and out of books. When she was little, her father accidentally read her mother into the book ‘Inkheart’ and brought out the main villain, some of his goons and Dustfinger, a fire-eater. Now, the villain wants to use their abilities to bring his strongest allies to this world. How will they get out of this? You can find out in Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath. I really love this trilogy because it tries to answer an interesting question; does a story really end when the book ends?

Hope I’ll have more for the rest of the days this week, but with Thanksgiving; who knows?

Wednesday

There wasn’t much again today, but at least there’s more than yesterday. There were new chapters for Burning Ice, Harry Potter and the Stargate, Mending the Knots, and Heroes Assemble! Played more PoGo, KHUx and Fate/GO (end of the replay of the former Christmas event).

Seerking is finally back and with the last of their main stories (that I might have mentioned or not, he hasn’t posted an actual chapter for it since the week before I started the blog. Though he might have posted an interlude that I talked about. Really, really need to make that list), ‘Code Geass: The Prepared Rebellion.’ It’s a Code Geass story that has Lelouch actually planning to rebellion (and working out rather than being a lazy bum). He takes other people into consideration and has better connections with people. Things happen differently, but his goal is still the same; to get overthrow his father and find out who killed his mother. Here’s the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10724053/1/Code-Geass-The-Prepared-Rebellion-V2.

R Rated Content

This is a harem story and there are sex scenes, but because of people being people, those scenes are on his Archive of Our Own account under the same name.

R Rated Content

The family and I went to go see the new Grinch movie tonight and I have to say I liked it a lot. The songs were good in my opinion and I liked that they gave the all the characters a better back-story. I very much enjoyed the organ that the Grinch had in his cave. All in all, I would recommend people to go see it. It’s not just a movie for young kids, all ages would like it (in my opinion, considering there were essentially three generations of my family that liked it).

Finally I reread another of sakurademonalchemist’s stories, ‘Fiery Rebirth.’ It’s a Harry Potter and KHR story where Rokudo Mokuro is Harry. Petunia sold him to the Estranio family when he was young and he gained the ability to transform into a Pheonix and have a burning day (turning him into a young kid with no memories for a few weeks). He activates this ability to get his body back from the First Generations’ Mist Guardian (Daemon Spade) and turns them both into babies. This causes a ripple effect that ends them up in England. Here’s the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13014149/1/Fiery-Rebirth.

That’s it for today. See everyone when I post tomorrow!

Thursday

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone who celebrates it (cause I know people from all around the world read this blog) had a happy day with lots of food and their loved ones! Moving on, because I was not on the cooking crew, I was able to read more today, even if most of it was from sakurademonalchemist. There were new chapters for How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk, Taylor Varga (finally!) and Reincarnation Roulette.

The first of the ones I reread (from sakurademonalchemist) was ‘Elemental Sky.’ It’s a KHR and Naruto crossover with the Female Tsuna character being the Sand Sibling’s cousin on their mom’s side through Nana. When she goes to visit she is able to help Gaara with his issues. She is also able to help some Konoha ninjas (including our favorite blonde ninja and his quiet stalker [I mean, fellow shinobi]). In exchange they help her deal with her issues in her hometown and with other things. The link to the story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13036342/1/Elemental-Sky.

The second one I reread was ‘Sunshine.’ It’s a Harry Potter and KHR crossover where Renatto (Reborn as a young kid) becomes a young female Harry’s penpal. They keep in contact until he tells him how to deal with a certain Toad. She runs away after and she becomes his Sky. She causes many changes and most of them are for the better! It can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12354356/1/Sunshine.

I also read some stories I haven’t read from them, with the first being ‘Golden King of Zero.’ It’s a Familiar of Zero and Type Moon universe crossover, with Louise summoning Ko Gil (Kid Gilgamesh, who is better liked) as her familiar. Ko Gil is surprised and (rightly) blames the old Vampire Troll for his problems. What will happen with him as the Gandalfr? Find out on the other side of this link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11944888/1/Golden-King-of-Zero.

The second was ‘Empathy,’ which is a Harry Potter and Scorpion crossover. Scorpion is an American TV show about a group of genii who work for the government (sometimes) to solve issues other’s can’t. They’re lead by Walter, who is the smartest of them all. Paige (who’s son, Ralph, is also a genius) helps them understand other people and translates them to others. I like this show, even if I’m behind on it, so I would recommend it.

Empathy has Harry being adopted as Adrian O’Brien and is Walter’s brother. He is an empath and joins the team slightly before the show after being released from confinement in the hospital in the wizarding world (because they thought he was too powerful). He helps the team with their missions and solves problems that come up. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11903581/1/Empathy.

Next is ‘Moonlight Star,’ which is a Sailor Moon and Nanoha crossover. It has Chibiusa ending up back in time during the events of the first season. She befriends the main character of the series and helps solve things, changing the future (or at least it will). The story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11784932/1/Moonlight-Star.

The last one was ‘Devil of the Forgotten.’ It’s a Harry Potter and High School DxD (it’s non-M rated) where the female Harry is Rias’ missing sister. She shows up right before the story started with her peerage (to hard to explain quickly, other than it also mixes Hellsing). She changes many things and tries to save her sister from her fate. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11830822/1/Devil-of-the-Forgotten.

Finally, I also started rereading a story by anothvortex called ‘Escape from the Hokage’s Hat.’ It’s another Naruto is kicked out after he retrieves Sasuke back, but this one has Tsunade, Shizune and Hinata joining him. It’s an interesting story and is about 42 chapters long, but hasn’t been updated since 2012 so I don’t think it will be finished. If you can overcome that, the link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4991314/1/Escape-from-the-Hokage-s-Hat.

Nothing more, other than that I’m full of food. See everyone on Monday!

A Let’s Go Weekend! (with some Fantastic Beasts)

Friday

Today I continued to read more of Broken Dreams, but I spent a while playing Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! There were new chapters for Seerking’s Asylum, Ashes to Flame and Mauling Snarks. A lot of the rest of time was spent rereading the Skip Beat Manga. However –

I did go see Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald tonight! It was very good, though as it is a transitory movie (there are 5 movies overall, last I heard), some (or most) people will not like the ending. I wasn’t a fan of the ending either, but I understood it. I would suggest it, but don’t watch it if you haven’t seen the first one (not much would make sense). As I’m going to be talking about the movie, I’m going to put a spoiler warning here.

Spoiler Warning

So the big one, Queenie. Why did she change sides? The easy answer is that Grindelwald is very persuasive. The more complicated answer is that Queenie was always the most easily swayed of the group, because she is a natural mind reader. She made sure her emotions were the largest of the group because that way they wouldn’t be swayed by others. When Jacob wouldn’t marry her, she spelled him to want to. She fell for him in the first movie because he fell for her and because it was going against what the Ministry wanted.

I think that Grindelwald’s strong mind along with his female lieutenant (didn’t hear her named) persuaded her to go to the meeting. Then with so many people’s thoughts influencing her at the meeting, she went along with Grindelwald.

Credence as a Dumbledore and getting Fawkes. Didn’t see this coming, but maybe he’ll come around and go against Grindelwald. Nagini as a human. I knew about this because it was in previews, but I wonder how she joins Tom. Maybe that will be in a later movie because this would be around the time he would be at Hogwarts (maybe he was in the crowd in Dumbledore’s class and I didn’t recognize him).

Lita dying and her story. Hm, don’t know how she ended up with Theseus, but it may have been a way to not make herself happy after she killed her brother and saving the Scamander brother as penance. The fact that her brother is dead makes me wonder how the Lestrange brothers from the HP movies came about (maybe the dad isn’t dead and he’ll have another kid?)

Spoiler Warning

Nothing more today, see you on the next line!

Saturday

More Broken Dreams today, along with catching up to current on Skip Beat. There were new chapters for Harry Potter and the Stargate, Relic of the Future, Stand Together and Smile (interlude story), Seerking’s Asylum, Ripples and Heroes Assemble! I also finally finished rereading Queen’s Redemption along with more playing Let’s Go Pikachu.

The only new story (rereading, but having mentioned it yet) is another one from kb0 called ‘Harry Potter: Rogue.’ It’s an after Order story where Harry decides to train himself since Dumbles won’t train him. Remus and Ginny are the only ones who can contact him and thus, yes, it is a Harry/Ginny story. Only read a few chapters, but I really like this one. It can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3796738/1/Harry-Potter-Rogue.

Not much today, lot’s of Let’s Go.

Sunday

So more Harry Potter: Rouge today, but I didn’t finish it. More Let’s Go Pikachu as well. I finally got to the city were you can trade from Go and get Meltan in Go and did it! I got 9 Meltans and plan to get more in a week when I can. The new chapters for today were It’s in the Cards and The Unseen Hunt.

I reread one of fg7dragon’s stories, ‘Naruto Chaos God.’ It’s the 3 story in the Naruto Chaos series (though the second one ‘Naruto Chaos Demon’ barely has anything) that started with ‘Naruto Chaos Mage.’ It’s a Naruto and Negima crossover. Basically, the Naruto is the evolution of the Negima fake Mars world where something went wrong and most Negima characters sealed themselves into the 10-tailed beast. Years later, when Kyuubi is sealed in Naruto (first sealing ever), he is able to unseal them in his mindscape and they can help him. It’s really good, though I wish the author would write more for either the 2nd or 3rd story. The link to the first story is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9744216/1/Naruto-Chaos-Mage. The second is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9080655/1/Naruto-Chaos-Demon. Finally the third is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11833883/1/Naruto-Chaos-God.

I also started rereading another one of fg7dragon’s (finished, maybe) stories ‘Gamer of the Sword.’ It’s a Gamer and Type Moon universe crossover with a SI (Self Insert) taking over Shirou who has the Gamer ability. He uses this to change everything. The link is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12974378/1/Gamer-of-the-Sword.

Another short post today. See you when I post tomorrow!

Monday

Finished rereading Gamer of the Sword and played more Let’s Go Pikachu (just got my 7th badge). The new chapters today are Mauling Snarks, The Gamer and Bits & Bobs. I also only reread some chapters from Uzumaki Naruko: To the Victor, the Spoils starting from where the reading story is currently. Really not much today.

So even though I’m going to sleep soon (long day tomorrow), I’ll talk about another series, D.N.Angel (that’s how I’ve seen it written). It’s a story about Daisuke Niwa, who loves Risa Harada (younger of twins, older named Riku). When his love confession on his fourteenth birthday to her doesn’t work out, he transforms into Dark Mousy. Dark is a family legacy in Male Niwa’s and is a phantom thief. The only way to make him go away is have his love interest love him back, but is Risa really the one? Both the manga and anime are finished, though the anime finished first and has a different (and better, in my opinion) ending. I really like this one and hope you read it!

See everyone on Thursday!

I’m Heading Out to Get Let’s Go!

Tuesday

Today, I read so more of I Am Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me, but didn’t finish either one of them and read books fifteen through the start of eighteen for The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for; Service with a Smile, Another Fine Mess, and Reading Chronicles Book 1: To the Victor, The Spoils. I got Shedinja on PoGo from the Research Breakthrough this morning, but now I wish that I had waited until this afternoon because of the stupid new Sinnoh Stone. It can only be gotten from the Research Breakthrough, but it didn’t become active until this afternoon (stupid, should happen at night, but I guess it is night somewhere then).

Anyway, I read some more new sakurademonalchemist fics (new as in I haven’t read them, they have like, let me check, 246 stories). The first one was ‘Spirit of the Jewel’ and it’s a InuYasha and Natsume Yūjin-Chō (which will now be Natsume because it’s stupid to get those vowels with symbols every time. It translates out to Natsume’s Book of Friends) crossover. Not sure it I’ve ever said what Natsume is before (really need to make that list I mentioned soon), but it’s about a boy named Takashi Natsume who can see spirits. He has since he was young (He’s a teenager now) and his family switches him between themselves and thinks he’s a liar and troublemaker because of his ability. He inherits a notebook from his grandmother that she bound spirits to control them. He tries to find them and give them back their names (which are in the book).

Spirit of the Jewel has Takashi and Nyanko (a spirit who hangs out with him who wants the book, eventually) going to the Higurashi Shrine to live before the start of InuYasha. He, Nyanko and a fox spirit end up going to the past with Kagome and getting involved with her adventures. It only has four chapters (so far, but hasn’t been updated since Sept. 2016). If you want to read it, here is the link – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12152411/1/Spirit-of-the-Jewel.

The second is called ‘Arrow of Truth’ and it is a Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) and Fate/stay Night crossover. Shirou ends up declining Alaya and not becoming a Counter Guardian. He then meets Truth (from FMA) who says he is a fragment of Edwards from when he went through the Gate of Truth (Think the author was referring to original anime series). Truth then transports him (in Edward’s body) to before the Grail War and he changes things. Fine out what, here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12095365/1/Arrow-of-Truth.

The last one (from this author) is ‘Beware of Sith Trolls.’ It’s a three-part story (with only two parts out since Aug. 2016) that’s a Harry Potter and Star Wars crossover (with mentions and meeting Black Wing from Fate’s Gamble by Lupine Horror). It has Vader saving a young Harry Potter (who deaged himself and his a troll) and having him become his apprentice. Chaos ensues, which can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12068640/1/Beware-of-Sith-Trolls.

I discovered that Fruits Basket is finally getting a remade anime with the whole story (YAY!). While doing that I learned of a short (unfinished) sequel about another young girl and the children of the Fruits Basket characters called “Fruits Basket Another.” I read the manga and enjoyed it, really looking forward to the finish and the new anime!

I reread a fic by kb0 called ‘A Friend Indeed.’ It’s a six-chapter story about what would have happened if Ginny would have tried harder to be Harry’s friend after his name comes out the Goblet of Fire. Things change, but most of it’s for the better, right? Find out here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3822327/1/A-Friend-Indeed.

I also got a new chapter for a story called ‘The Lady of the Flies’ by InsanityIncarnate90. It’s a Worm and Highschool DxD crossover that has Rias reincarnating Taylor after the end of Worm as her Queen. Watch how this changes the DxD universe completely! Here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12586479/1/The-Lady-of-the-Flies. (Might have already talked about this one, realllly need to make that list.)

That’s it for today, see you on the next line tomorrow!

Wednesday

I finished both My Name is Harry Potter and Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me today. I also got caught up on The Gamer (my app didn’t get the new chapters until today <_>). There were also new chapters for Burning Ice, Harry Potter and the Stargate, Flames of the Night Sky, It’s in the Cards, Heroes Assemble! and an omake for Mauling Snarks. A Ultra Friend on PoGo gave me an Ex Raid invite today and I was finally able to catch Deoxys (yay!). I also got some Lucky Pokémon from trades today!

I started rereading a story by an author I haven’t mentioned yet, Phantom1s. It’s called ‘Harry Potter: Archangel’ and it has Harry’s accidental magic transporting him to the Flamels at a young age (to escape from the Dursleys). He grows up with them and ends up meeting Tony Stark and creating a magic Ironman suit called Archangel. He saves a going into fifth year Ginny (remember he’s not been at Hogwarts, to study at least) and things happen from there. I like this fic and the author, but feel he kind of jumps around and has pacing problems. The link to the fic is here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6989193/1/Harry-Potter-Archangel.

There was a new chapter for the fic, ‘Organization 13 and a Half’ by Glennt123. It a Kingdom Hearts story that starts before 365/2 Days. It has a sentient Dusk that is the main character who becomes a part of Organization 13. Hasn’t reached 365/2 Days yet, but it is still semi-frequently updating. The story can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12971650/1/Organization-13-and-a-Half.

Lasty, I started rereading another of kb0’s stories, ‘Harry Potter: The Avenger.’ It has Harry not wanting to stay in his world any longer and goes through the Veil (with a trunk full of things) to try and find Sirius. He ends up in New York right before it’s attacked by aliens in the first Avengers movie. He joins the defense and becomes an Avenger. It’s finished (but I still need to read a few more chapters of the seven) and can be found here – https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10477045/1/Harry-Potter-The-Avenger.

A rerun of last year’s Christmas event on Fate/GO started today. Looking forward to playing through it!

Nothing more today, can’t wait until the Midnight night release of the Let’s Go games tomorrow!

Thursday

I finished Harry Potter: The Avenger and read more Broken Dreams (by ThunderReborn if you’ve forgotten). The only new chapter was from Another Fine Mess. That and playing PoGo, Fate/GO and KHUx are really the only things I did today. Wow, that’s kinda sad …

Anyway, I’m writing this before I head over and get my new Let’s Go games, but I have enough time to talk about another series. This time I’ll talk about “Skip Beat” by Yoshiki Nakamura. The main character, Kyoko Mogami, went to Tokyo with her love Sho to help him while he became an Idol. But when he became famous he got rid of her and she vowed horrible revenge. She decided to get revenge on him by becoming a bigger star than him. The only problem, she left behind love and can’t muster any up to catch people’s eyes.

When she proves to have talent, the director of a company decides to make a “Love-Me” section to help her (and others eventually) find what they’re missing. Watch her work through her trials to get one over on Sho (and who’s this Ren Tsuruga?). I really enjoy this series and need to catch up on it, I’m a bit behind.

I’ll post this now before I head out. See everyone on Monday and hope people who are also getting Let’s Go enjoy it as much as I will!
