Happy Turkey Day!! (Thanksgiving)

Tuesday

Today, I finished Uzumaki Naruko: To the Victor, the Spoils. There was only a new chapter for Revenant. Other than watching the first ten episodes of the The Irregular at Magic High Shcool, I mostly played PoGo, KHUx and Fate/GO. I was mostly busy with relatives and Thanksgiving prep.

In recompense, I’ll talk about the Inkworld Trilogy. It starts with the first book, Inkheart. It’s about a father (Mortimer or Mo), who repairs old books and his daughter (Meggie) who have a special ability, to read people and characters into and out of books. When she was little, her father accidentally read her mother into the book ‘Inkheart’ and brought out the main villain, some of his goons and Dustfinger, a fire-eater. Now, the villain wants to use their abilities to bring his strongest allies to this world. How will they get out of this? You can find out in Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath. I really love this trilogy because it tries to answer an interesting question; does a story really end when the book ends?

Wednesday

There wasn’t much again today, but at least there’s more than yesterday. There were new chapters for Burning Ice, Harry Potter and the Stargate, Mending the Knots, and Heroes Assemble! Played more PoGo, KHUx and Fate/GO (end of the replay of the former Christmas event).

Seerking is finally back and with the last of their main stories (that I might have mentioned or not, he hasn’t posted an actual chapter for it since the week before I started the blog. Though he might have posted an interlude that I talked about. Really, really need to make that list), ‘Code Geass: The Prepared Rebellion.’ It’s a Code Geass story that has Lelouch actually planning to rebellion (and working out rather than being a lazy bum). He takes other people into consideration and has better connections with people. Things happen differently, but his goal is still the same; to get overthrow his father and find out who killed his mother. The family and I went to go see the new Grinch movie tonight and I have to say I liked it a lot. The songs were good in my opinion and I liked that they gave the all the characters a better back-story. I very much enjoyed the organ that the Grinch had in his cave. All in all, I would recommend people to go see it. It’s not just a movie for young kids, all ages would like it (in my opinion, considering there were essentially three generations of my family that liked it).

Finally I reread another of sakurademonalchemist’s stories, ‘Fiery Rebirth.’ It’s a Harry Potter and KHR story where Rokudo Mokuro is Harry. Petunia sold him to the Estranio family when he was young and he gained the ability to transform into a Pheonix and have a burning day (turning him into a young kid with no memories for a few weeks). He activates this ability to get his body back from the First Generations’ Mist Guardian (Daemon Spade) and turns them both into babies. This causes a ripple effect that ends them up in England. First of all, Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone who celebrates it (cause I know people from all around the world read this blog) had a happy day with lots of food and their loved ones! Moving on, because I was not on the cooking crew, I was able to read more today, even if most of it was from sakurademonalchemist. There were new chapters for How Eating a Strange Fruit Gave Me My Quirk, Taylor Varga (finally!) and Reincarnation Roulette.

The first of the ones I reread (from sakurademonalchemist) was ‘Elemental Sky.’ It’s a KHR and Naruto crossover with the Female Tsuna character being the Sand Sibling’s cousin on their mom’s side through Nana. When she goes to visit she is able to help Gaara with his issues. She is also able to help some Konoha ninjas (including our favorite blonde ninja and his quiet stalker [I mean, fellow shinobi]). The second one I reread was ‘Sunshine.’ It’s a Harry Potter and KHR crossover where Renatto (Reborn as a young kid) becomes a young female Harry’s penpal. They keep in contact until he tells him how to deal with a certain Toad. She runs away after and she becomes his Sky. She causes many changes and most of them are for the better! I also read some stories I haven’t read from them, with the first being ‘Golden King of Zero.’ It’s a Familiar of Zero and Type Moon universe crossover, with Louise summoning Ko Gil (Kid Gilgamesh, who is better liked) as her familiar. Ko Gil is surprised and (rightly) blames the old Vampire Troll for his problems. What will happen with him as the Gandalfr? The second was ‘Empathy,’ which is a Harry Potter and Scorpion crossover. Scorpion is an American TV show about a group of genii who work for the government (sometimes) to solve issues other’s can’t. They’re lead by Walter, who is the smartest of them all. Paige (who’s son, Ralph, is also a genius) helps them understand other people and translates them to others. I like this show, even if I’m behind on it, so I would recommend it.

Empathy has Harry being adopted as Adrian O’Brien and is Walter’s brother. He is an empath and joins the team slightly before the show after being released from confinement in the hospital in the wizarding world (because they thought he was too powerful). Next is ‘Moonlight Star,’ which is a Sailor Moon and Nanoha crossover. It has Chibiusa ending up back in time during the events of the first season. The last one was ‘Devil of the Forgotten.’ It’s a Harry Potter and High School DxD (it’s non-M rated) where the female Harry is Rias’ missing sister. She shows up right before the story started with her peerage (to hard to explain quickly, other than it also mixes Hellsing). She changes many things and tries to save her sister from her fate. Finally, I also started rereading a story by anothvortex called ‘Escape from the Hokage’s Hat.’ It’s another Naruto is kicked out after he retrieves Sasuke back, but this one has Tsunade, Shizune and Hinata joining him. It’s an interesting story and is about 42 chapters long, but hasn’t been updated since 2012 so I don’t think it will be finished. Today I finished Run With You and read the sixth through eighth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess, double jeu, Ashes to Flame, and Mauling Snarks. Sadly this is all I read today, but I did watch some more Doctor Who TV Movies.

The first was called “The Waters of Mars.” It has the 10^th Doctor ending up with the crew of the first human Mars’ team. He knows from history that something bad happens the day he shows up. Thus he is faced with the choice to leave and let things happen or interfere and change things.

Next was both parts of “End of Time.” It has the Ood (yes, there is a species called the Ood and yes, and odd joke was made in their first episode), telling the Doctor that something that his old friend/enemy The Master was going to be revived. He rushes back and faces The Master and an unexpected enemy. This is also the last time the 10^th Doctor is the main character. The 11^th Doctor is regenerated into at the end of Part 2. The !0^th’s last words are still very sad.

Today, I read the ninth through eleventh novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. The new chapters today were for: Harry Potter and the Stargate, Another Fine Mess, Relic of the Future, Stand Together and Smile, Heroes Assemble!, and Tsunami. I actually read some stories I haven’t mentioned yet, so lets get to it!

First was starting to reread the first in the series ‘Stars Aligned’ called ‘An Unexpected Christmas Miracle’ by batistaangel15. It’s a Doctor Who fic about the 10^th Doctor and Rose going to a Christmas planet before the battle of Canary Wharf. It’s fun and fluffy and the rest of the series happens when Rose isn’t lost to another universe. Haven’t finished cause I’m reading other things. I also read some chapters from the Type Moon side crossover manga “All Around Type Moon – Ahnenerbe no Nichijou.’ I found it by looking for a story where kaleid Illya meets original Illya. It’s a bunch of silly crossovers between Type Moon characters at a café called Ahnenerbe. I read long enough to find the chapter I was looking for (the chapters are linked, but not by very much.

I also got an update for a story named ‘Restart’ by Masseffect-TxS. It’s an RWBY story that has Jaune being one of the last humans and going up against the King of Grimm. When he wins at the cost of his life, he ends up waking up as he is being born. What will he do to make sure what happens in his first lifetime doesn’t happen again? It was just the author saying that they edited the first few chapters based on something just released in a new episode of Season 6 (I’m way behind, need to watch and catch up sometime).

I also watched the first two episodes of Season 5 of Doctor Who. I officially met the 11^th Doctor and his new companion, Amelia (Amy) Pond (and his to-be companion Rory Williams). After meeting Amelia when she was young (after he crashes into her garden), he promises to help her with something when he gets back in 20 mins. However, he comes back twelve years later and she’s not happy to see him. After helping her out he invites her to come with him. I’m looking forward to watching more later!

It was also the Community Day for Pokémon Go and Cyndaquil was the focus today. I only walked for 50 mins because of issues with logging in and that a memorial service for one of my church members was in the middle of it. She was a great woman and will be dearly missed. I did get two shinnies and that’s enough for me.

Today, I read the twelfth and thirteenth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School and some more chapters of An Unexpected Christmas Miracle. There were new chapters for: The Unseen Hunt, SAO: The Eroge and Seerking’s Asylum. I also reread Flames of the Night Sky.

I reread parts of the second story in the ‘Reinforced’ series by Lupine Horror. The first one is called ‘Reinforced Magic’ and it’s a crossover between Lyrical Nanoha and Harry Potter. At the end of the second season of Lyrical Nanoha (called A’s) a character named Reinforce is destroyed to stop a threat. However instead of being destroyed, she ends up in front of a young Harry Potter who just had acid poured on half his face. She merges with him to help him and stays with him while teaching him her magic. When they end up at Hogwarts, things really get interesting. The second one (the one I read) is called ‘Reinforced Chamber’ and deals with Harry’s second year and meeting the rest of the Lyrical Nanoha crew. I spent most of the afternoon going around my town looking for a Pokéstop that had the task for a new Pokémon this month, nincada. I spent several hours doing it, but couldn’t find one. When I posted this to the GroupMe for the area, I was informed where one was not far from where I had been searching. … Needless to say I got it and caught the Pokémon. Sadly, last night the main GroupMe group for PoGo in my area semi-imploded and now there are more groups based on the factions. As I am neutral (if unhappy at being kicked out of a side group because of one of the instigators getting someone to add them and then they kicked everyone out. Luckly, they couldn’t kick out the owner and he kicked them out and reinstated us), I’m in all groups (except the Valor and Mystic ones, cause I’m Instinct. Not that I really care, honestly, it’s just a game) and hopefully things will get better.

I read only the fourteenth novel of The Irregular at Magic High School today. I also re-watched episodes 8 to 10 of GATE because I wanted to re-watch Rory Mercury’s verbal beat down of the Japanese Senate representative. There were new chapters for Another Fine Mess (which lead me to the previous sentence), Mauling Snarks and Tsunami.

I also read/reread some more sakurademonalchemist stories. The first one I started rereading was called ‘Naruto Emiya.’ It’s a crossover between Naruto and the Fate part of the Type Moon universe (or Natsu-verse). It has Zelretch (the immortal troll) finding Naruto almost dead in Konoha (when he was young, like 8) and sends him to Kiritsugu soon after Illya is born. Another one I reread was ‘Sorcellerie Miraculeuse.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Ladybug and Cat Noir crossover. Female Harry leaves Britain after the Triwizard Tournaments with Fleur’s families help. Finally, I read ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ for the first time (Sadly nothing to do with The Greatest American Hero series even though the title is based off the theme song). It’s a Supernatural and Fate/Zero crossover. After season 2, Sam goes to Fuyuki to participate in a tournament to try and save his brother from Hell. However, he only gets a shade of a hero. I got a new chapter for a story called ‘Moving On: Tales of Marinette & Adrien’ by HawkwardDolphin. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir story about Marinette thinking of moving on from Adrien and Chat Noir (what he’s called in the story) telling her to do what makes her happy. Things are a mess because of the ‘Love Square’ (only technically a square, but that’s what fans call it). I also started reading a story called ‘My Name is Harry Potter’ by megamatt09. It’s a crossover between the DC universe and Harry Potter. Harry is an auror who sees something he shouldn’t have and is thrown through the Veil. But he survives and plots how to get revenge with the League of Assassins. So I’m just gonna flat out say it, I can only think of a few of megamatt09’s stories that are not more than liberally filled with sex scenes. In fact, a few of his stories are just a collection of one shots of Harry or Spiderman having sex with different women. I read them for the story, not the sex. However I’m also an adult, so I would hope that any underage people reading this will not follow the link. This one does have sex, but it doesn’t ever become as prominent as his other stories and starts after a few chapters. Fair warning.

Today was also a very sad day for Marvel fans with the passing of The Legend – Stan Lee. He was the creator of some of our favorite Marvel heroes, including Spiderman and the X-Men. His cameos in the MCU will be missed and I look forward to him hopefully being in at least the Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 movies.

So finished rereading the last part of Black Sky and am looking forward to the author putting more out soon (hopefully). I also read a few more chapters of Ashes of the Past (early 50’s) because I’ve seen new chapters but I want to finish rereading first. There were updates for It’s in the Cards, Queen of the Seas, A Ninja Summoned, Worm: More Than Meets The Eye, and Seerking’s Asylum. I spend the rest of the day reading stories by sakurademonalchemist and watching shows from the Who-verse.

I decided to read some stories by sakurademonalchemist that I hadn’t before and the first one was ‘Demonic Jewels.’ It’s a KHR AU (Alternate Universe) where there are Demons and the female Tsuna is training to become a jewel summoner. She ends up as Hibari’s roommate because no one else will. It’s interesting and I like it. The next one is called ‘Wrathful Skies’ and is a Harry Potter and KHR crossover. The female Harry is Xanxus’ half sister and calls Krampus to her neighborhood one Christmas when she’s young. She runs away and becomes ferial with Sky flames and a wolf partner. Squalo finds her and takes her back to the Varia where things become interesting. Then was ‘Partners in Crime’ which is another Harry Potter and KHR crossover. It has a young Harry being abandoned in Itay and finds a young (female) Belphegor and they team up to steal. After that, there was ‘Queen of Conquerors’ which is a Harry Potter and Type Moon Universe crossover. It has a young female Harry being transported to the time of Alexander the Conqueror and is adopted as his daughter. She grows up and is his heir before she is called back to her time for the Triwizard Tournament. Continuing, there was ‘Here in an Instant, Gone in a Flash’ which is a triple crossover. It has Harry as the main character, includes the DC TV Universe and has The Librarian TV movie elements too. When Ripper chases Harry into the tree (when he was young, see Book 3), it’s struck by lightning and he gains speedster powers. He then becomes the Magical Librarian (the other Librarian still gets his own job later) and eventually goes to Central City before the events of The Flash. Let’s take a quick break to talk about the DC TV Universe and The Librarian. The DC TV Universe consists of Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. Arrow is about the Green Arrow and his return to his city and taking care of the criminals there. Eventually, The Flash comes in and Barry gets his speedster powers. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow takes villains and heroes from both series and has them travel through time to take out an immortal villain. Supergirl is about Supergirl and her debut, but eventually connects to the others. (I know it’s kinda short, but there is a lot in the DC TV Universe. Cut me a break).

Then there’s The Librarian. It’s about Flynn Carsen, who is kicked out of Uni after getting 20 degrees. He then interviews to become The Librarian (not that he knows what that is at first) and gets the job. He is then sent on an adventure and everything he knows helps him. There were originally three TV movies, but eventually they made a series about it called The Librarians. He activates three others who could have been The Librarian and they form a team.

I’ll cut the sakurademonalchemist stories for now and talk about more tomorrow so I can talk about the Who-verse things I watched. I watched the Doctor Who TV movie, “Planet of the Dead.” It has the Doctor joining a group of people on a bus (including a thief the police are chasing) that is transported to a planet where there’s only sand. They try to get back through the portal, but danger lurks in the distance. The Doctor also gets and ominous warning, “Your song is ending” and “He will knock four times”. Dun, Dun, DUN!

Then I watched the (technical) third season of Torchwood. It’s essentially a five part mini-series called “Torchwood: The Children of Earth.” It has the children of Earth stopping several times and telling people that ‘We are coming.’ An alien race is coming and they want children to make them go away. Watch as the Torchwood and the government clash and try and make them go away.

I also voted today! Not going to talk politics (because it makes people crazy, no really some people on both sides really need to grow up and stop the blame game), but it’s a right people need to exercise and I did!

So today was mostly me reading the first three The Irregular at Magic High School novels and starting the fourth. Since I mentioned it last post it made me want to reread them. There were new chapters for Demon Lord of the End (the real third chapter), Burning Ice, The Healing Touch and Heroes Assemble! I also learned that Seerking is taking a break from his schedule until the 21ist.

I reread a Quatermass story called ‘Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, Ashikabi’s Life for Me.’ It’s a Sekirei and Pirates of Caribbean (I’m not gonna explain this one, look it up and watch it if you don’t know it. Well, at least the first one, the rest are take it or leave it) crossover. It has Captian Jack Sparrow being reincarnated into Minato. This changes many things. The last of the new stories (for me) from sakurademonalchemist was ‘Trick Hunt.’ It’s an Avengers (MCU) and Supernatural crossover. Supernatural is a popular demon hunting show following Dean and Sam Winchester who are ‘Hunters.’ They hunt and destroy things that hunt humans. Originally they’re looking for their dad, but things change. It has over 13 seasons and is still going.

The story has Loki being sent into a human body without his memories by Odin after the first movie as repentance. God sees this and changes his body to Dean Winchester. When Dean is brought back at the beginning of Season 3, Loki is awakened and he and Dean work to together to solve their problems. I also got a new chapter for a sakurademonalchemist story yesterday called ‘Flames of the Night Sky.’ It’s a KHR and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha crossover. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (from now on called Lyrical Nanoha) is about an elementary school girl (Nanoha Takamichi) who finds a magical ferret (from space and who is really a shape shifting young boy) named Yuuno. He wants her to find the Jewel Seeds that were on his crashed ship. However, there is another young named Fate who wants them as well. There are currently five seasons and four movies (the movies are a separate universe, with the first two covering the first two seasons and the third and fourth being a new story based on a games), though the fourth movie hasn’t aired in the US yet.

The story has Tsuna’s mom dying young and his dad cannot be contacted, so Tsuna ends up being adopted by his mom’s friends, the Takamichis. I also started rereading a sakurademonalchemist story called ‘Queen’s Redemption.’ It’s a KHR and Once Upon a Time crossover. Once Upon a Time is a show about a universe called ‘The Enchanted Forrest,’ where fairy tales originate from. However, there are many differences. It starts with Snow White and Prince Charming’s wedding, where the Evil Queen promises to take away their happy endings. She sets up a spell that transports everyone to a ‘world without magic’ (ya know, our world) and the only one who can break it is Snow’s and Charming’s daughter on her 28^th birthday. They send her ahead as a baby before the spell hits. They are stuck in a time loop (without their memories) in Storybrook until Emma (their daughter) shows up. Watch as she helps them break the curse with the help of the son she gave up, Henry (who is the Evil Queen’s adopted son).

The story has Regina (the Evil Queen) getting hit by a curse by Snow right before the original curse that makes her a child. She grows up into Lal Mitch and regains her memories when the Arcobaleno curse hits. I read some yesterday and some today (but not finished rereading yet). Today I read the fourth through sixth novels of The Irregular at Magic High School. There were new chapters for Celestial Worm and Code Geass: Lionheart of the Revolution. I read more chapters for Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, An Ashikabi’s Life for Me and Queen’s Revenge, but haven’t finished either yet.

I reread a one shot by kb0 called ‘Harry’s Happy Christmas.’ It’s a Harry Potter story that has Harry meeting Santa in a mall ‘Meet Santa’ area and asking for help ending the war. I finished An Accidental Bond and reread the last chapter of Pick Up the Pieces and Rebuild. There were new chapters for Seerking’s Asylum (2 chapters), Ashes to Flame, Mauling Snarks, Cambion and Another Fine Mess. I also reread some of sakurademonalchemists fics.

The first was ‘Iron Maiden,’ which is a Harry Potter and Iron Man crossover. It has a female Harry running away after sixth year and getting an internship under Tony. She does this because he is her real father and it takes a while for that to come out. It’s interesting and I like it, just as before wishing they worked to complete more of their fics. The second was ‘Fillies and Colts,’ which is a Harry Potter and KHR crossover. It has Dino Chaivarone being the first-born son of Lily Evans (who married into the Chaivarone). She was lured back because of the war and ‘lost’ her memory (read, James wanted her, so he caused her to forget her life in Italy) and ‘married’ James (she was already married so it didn’t take). The next one, ‘Paranormal Investigator Squad,’ was a new one that came out on Halloween. There’s only one chapter so far, but it’s a KHR where Tsuna and his mother’s family are spiritualists and Tsuna can see ghosts. The last one (from sakurademonalchemist and also a new one), is called ‘It’s in the Cards.’ It’s a KHR and Card Captor Sakura (CCS) fic where a female Tsuna finds the Clow book and becomes the Card Captor. The last fanfic is ‘Overservations of a Wannabe Kunoichi’ by Quatermass. It’s a Naruto fic where Sakura decides to investigate things while in the academy and finds Naruto’s secret. It’s fairy interesting, but I’m only watching it because it’s next on the list to watch in the whole Doctor Who continuity.

I started rereading Black Sky from about 100 chapters from the current chapter. There were also new chapters for Harry Potter and the Stargate, Relic of the Future, Tsunami, It’s in the Cards, Queen of the Seas, Heroes Assemble!, Cambion and Another Fine Mess. I spent the rest of the day watching shows from the Doctor Who continuity.

I watched the first season of The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was okay, but it honestly really see it as just another spin-off just to make money. It had only 10 episodes, with every story being two episodes long.

I also watched the Christmas special in between seasons three and four of Doctor Who called, ‘Voyage of the Damned.’ It has The Doctor finding himself aboard an alien cruise liner called ‘Titanic,’ “Because it’s the most famous ship name on Earth,” the crew says. Lol, yeah, but not for good reasons. Of course, with The Doctor and a ship named Titanic, thing are obviously going to go wrong. It was interesting and The Doctor got to say ‘Allons-y Alonso’ (which was mentioned at the end of season two). I also watched the first few episodes of the fourth season and was interested to see Donna back and see the 12^th Doctor’s actor in one of the episodes (just as a cast member, still one more Doctor and several seasons he even learned he would be The Doctor).

I then started watching the second season of Torchwood. I actually like Torchwood. The cast actually feels real (unlike the kind of unrealistic relationships in Adventures) and you can empathize with them. Things are starting to go down and I wonder how many members will be there at the end?

I reread some more Black Sky and slept a lot today because my dog woke me up because of a storm again last night. There was only an omake from Taylor Varga today to placate those wanting a new chapter. No other new chapters, but I did watch more from the Doctor Who continuity.

I finished Torchwood season two and wow is it a sad overall story. I’m not going to talk about it (ya know, spoilers wink), but so many things culminated at the end that it was kind in your face (especially with Gray). How to pick up from that I don’t know (well, Jack knows, sadly), but it’s not something to look forward to.

I also finished the fourth season of Doctor Who and got to see all the shows combine for the last storyline of the season (even some older characters!) I was sad that Donna was only a companion for a season like Martha was. However we also meet River Song for the ‘first’ time (she knows more than that, but ya know spoilers).

I watched the first two episodes (one story) of the second season of The Sarah Jane Adventures and I’m already less interested than the last season. Also, the kind of main female teenage character (who admittedly was not in the season four Doctor Who conclusion) leaving the show after one storyline is kinda sad (for the show, not sad, sad).

Once again I reread more Black Sky, but I may finish tomorrow! There were new chapters for Tsunami and Mauling Snarks, but that was it. I spent most of the day studying and playing KHUx and Fate/GO.

There was a new chapter from ‘Jaune Ryu-Long, the Dragon Contractor’ by azndrgn. It’s a RWBY fic where Jaune is kicked out of Arc family; only to find out he can use dragon powers and summon them. The only downside is that he has to marry six women (RWBY, Pyrrha and another side character). This is the 60^th chapter and it’s the first update in a while (at least almost three months because I haven’t mentioned it here). It’s good and the first fic I read from this author. The only other update I got was from an older story, ‘double jue’ by kurohaha. It’s a Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir story where Cat Noir is shot on a patrol and finds his way onto Marinette’s balcony. She come home (from a family event) and finds and helps him, this leads to them getting to know each other better. It update was just a note saying they don’t know if it’s going to continue or not. Since there is nothing else for today (and I have some time), I’ll talk about The Irregular at Magic High School. It’s a Japanese light novel turned anime that I’m a fan of. The story is about Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba going to a magic high school. Magic is technology based and has a science behind it. While the older of the two ‘siblings’ Tatsuya is in the Course 2, while Miyuki is in Course 1. Tatsuya is also more subservient to Miyuki and things are not as they seem. There are 26 light novels in Japan (there are 9 out in America, so far) with another coming out on the 10^th of this month. The anime was only one season and there is an movie (that I didn’t know about until now, it’s a side story that’s not in the light novels) that came out last year. I would recommend it, both the anime and light novels.

While I was looking up stuff about Irregular at Magic High School, I got an email saying that a new chapter of Cambion came out and I read it. That really is it for today and this post, so I’ll see everyone on Thursday. And vote tomorrow if you’re from USA and haven’t yet, I know I will!

It’s Almost Zeraora Time!

Today, I finished Harry and Ginny: A Love Story and watched more of Log Horizon. Well, I got to where it’s currently up to at chapter 33. Like I said yesterday, it hasn’t been updated since 2015, but other story have been posted/updated by the author. The only new chapter today was from Service with a Smile.

With my rewatching of Log Horizon (I looked it up and the light novel finally got a new book out recently after a few years), I decided to look up some of it’s fanfiction. Both of them are about them trying to get home. The first one ‘A Gate Home’ by knaka148 started last year and is only two chapters. In it the two opposing guilds work together to get home. After that, I started rereading an old favorite of mine that had its sequel end relatively recently, ‘Fate’s Gamble’ by Lupine Horror. At its base it’s a Type Moon and Harry Potter crossover, because it has elements from several Type Moon stories. However, because of the Kaleidoscope (and Zelretch insanity) there are a few other stories represented (even if it’s not until later in the story). I really liked this one and enjoyed it and its sequel, ‘Fate’s Gamble: Round Two.’

In the story, Zelretch trying to connect to world’s he’s not on/has died in. He does it wrong and Fate uses the unused power to change several Harry’s destinies. The one the story is about has Harry (age 5) ending up on the Shapeless Isle (the Gorgon’s home. Ya know from Greek Mythology) in Zelretch’s universe. There he meets Stheno and Euryale (Medusa’s sisters, if ya didn’t know) and becomes Zelretch and Waver’s (a least he has one human influence) student. Today was also the release of Gen 4 Pokémon on PoGo! They only released the starters and a few of the beginning Pokémon, but it’s a start. Though I wonder where the rest of Gen 3 is? Who knows, I certainly don’t.

Today was mostly rereading Fate’s Gamble and finishing the first season of Log Horizon. There were a few more new chapters than yesterday including: Harry Potter and the Stargate, several Game On! 3 0 chapters (that finished it off. 4 0 should be next in Yu Yu Hakusho) and Heroes Assemble! and Seerking’s Asylum for Plot Bunnies that Won’t Stop Bugging Me (I’m going to call this SAfPBtWSBM … yeah no, how about just Seerking’s Asylum, that works).

Then there was the update for Seerking’s next story on the rotation, ‘Kaien’s Fate, Aizen’s Experiment and Ichigo’s Sister.’ It’s a Bleach story about Kirika, a young soul girl who Aizen and his crew used (along with many others) in an experiment to implant a part of Kaien’s zanpakuto and Metastacia’s energy into another soul. She was the only one to survive and got to the Living World. She’s adopted by the Kurosaki’s and becomes a slightly younger sister to Ichigo before his mother’s attacked. Other than that, I watched the 6^th Detective Conan Movie – The Phantom of Baker Street. It has a VR game that gets taken over by an A.I. who wants the game to be finished to solve a murder. I also learned that Wildbow, the writer of Worm, has started a sequel called “Ward.” As I still haven’t read Worm, I’m not gonna read it yet, but thought those who have read it would like to know.

Thursday

Today was more Fate’s Gamble. I also started rereading one of kb0’s older stories, ‘Harry Potter: Choices.’ It has Harry deciding that he has choices the summer after Fifth year. He decides to take control of his life, starting with who his magical guardian is. This is a Harry/Ginny Soul Bond story. It’s finished and I like it a lot. In yesterday’s Seerking’s Asylum (see isn’t that easier), Seerking mentioned that The Aura King adopted one of his Plot Bunnies. The one called ‘Demon Lord of the Swarm’ (it’s chapters 86 -90 of Seerking’s Asylum) and they renamed it – ‘Demon Lord of the End.’ It has Taylor, after the end of Worm, becoming a Demon Lord in charge of a dungeon. She has to make sure she’s not defeated or the world (the new one, not the Worm one) will be destroyed. There are two chapters and it was only started on the 4^th of this month, so I’m looking forward to a fairly regular update schedule (hopefully). I watched the 10^th Detective Conan Movie – The Private Eye’s Requiem. It has Conan and the crew forced to solve a case or they and their friends will be blow up by watches they put on for a theme park. Didn’t do much more than that.

Oh yeah, I figured I would mention that Zeraora (the newest mythical Pokémon) would be available via code for Game Stop (In America at least) starting tomorrow (again only in America, everyone else has been able to get it for most of this month) til sometime next month (presumablely until before the Let’s Go games come out). Reshiram and Zekrom will also be available until the 28^th (of this month) starting tomorrow at Target. This is for the Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games only. Since I have a few extra minutes, Yu Yu Hakusho is about Yusuke Urameshi, a delinquent. He dies sacrifices himself to save a kid from a car, only to learn it was pointless. The kid would have survived and no one (not even the afterlife) expected him to do anything. Now he gets a chance to come back to life, but even if he does; his life will be changed forever.

Sorry again for being late for the last post. I got the normal new chapter for Mauling Snarks along with a new one for Cambion. Other than reading some more Harry Potter and the Daft Morons, I read some new chapters for fics I haven’t mentioned before and actually read a physical book!

The first of the new chapters was for ‘Master Potter of Kamar-Taj’ by Ryuko monogatari. If I mentioned this one before, bear with me (I looked when I got the last updates and couldn’t find them mentioned on the corresponding days on the blog). It’s an Avengers and Harry Potter crossover where Harry studies under Doctor Strange before going to Hogwarts. It’s almost to the end of first year, storyline wise. The second fanfic I read only the first chapter, but it’s finished. It’s called ‘Second Chances are Fought For’ by fg7dragon. It’s a Naruto and Fate/Stay Night crossover that has Naruto being summoned by Rin instead of Archer (EMIYA). He changes everything. The last new chapter was from ‘Game On! 3 0’ by nordiamus. It’s the third in the Game On! Series. It’s about Harriet Potter who died sometime after becoming the Master of Death. She chooses to reincarnate several times helping heroes in order to save her mother’s soul. She at least gets a Gamer system to help her. The first fic has her in KHR. Well since I just mentioned two series I haven’t talked about yet, I’ll talk about them before I go into the book. Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) is about Edward and Alphonse Elric who are alchemists. Their mother died when they were young (and their father left before that [the story eventually explains it]) so they tried to do the forbidden and bring her back. As a reward, Ed lost a leg and an arm and Al lost his body and his soul is bonded into a suit of armor. Ed gets an automail (a fully functioning mechanical replacement) arm and leg and joins the military to find a way to recover what was taken from them. Many things happen along the way and long hidden secrets are revealed. I would very much suggest this, in its manga and second anime at least. The original FMA was okay for a while, but then diverted and I at least wasn’t a huge fan. FMA: Brotherhood was really good though.

InuYasha is about a young 1990’s high school girl, Kagome, getting dragged into a well at her home (in a shrine) and ending up in the Edo period (between 1603 and 1868, don’t know when during it). There she finds out that demons are real and that she is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo who died in that period over half a century ago. Kikyo was the guardian of the Shikon Jewel and it reappeared in Kagome’s body. She frees a half dog-demon InuYasha (who was sealed by Kikyo and has a history with her) to save her from another demon who wants the jewel. Soon the Jewel is shattered (by Kagome on accident) and she, InuYasha and friends they find along the way have to find all the pieces to complete the Jewel and stop others from using it for evil. Luckily, she can at least return home sometimes, though InuYasha can follow her. I recommend this one as well, both the manga and anime.

Finally, I read the first book in the Baccano! series that I mentioned last time. It’s called “The Rolling Bootlegs” and focuses on how both groups get their immortality, though not much about the first group. I was wrong last time, there are 22 books out and the 23^rd is the one delayed. That’s it for today, see you on the next line!

I read several completely new fics today, but also some new chapters. The new chapters were from Harry Potter and the Stargate, Stand Together and Smile and Relic of the Future. I also read till chapter 64 (of 84) of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons.

The first new fic was ‘Protector of the Fairies’ by Takei Daloui. It’s a Fairy Tail and Bleach crossover. It has Bleach elements built into the Fairy Tail world rather than having a character (or two) just dropped into it. It’s interesting, I haven’t finished it (I’m reading it slowly on the side) as it has 251 chapters and it’s not finished yet. The second new story is ‘Relics of the Past’ by Cyrro. It’s Naruto fic where Iruka is from Whirlpool and takes Naruto in when he’s young. Along with a female Itachi and Sasuke, things are gonna be weird. I also haven’t finished this one because it’s 183 chapters. I’m going to be reading these with a few chapters a day, if that. The last new story is called ‘Clouds in the Sky’ by EriLenx07. It’s a crossover with Harry Potter and KHR. It has a female Harry meeting Hibari in her neighborhood after 5^th year (because Vernon is in the mafia). They then spend many hours together. At least, Harriet is back at Hogwarts in the story now (the author spent too much time pre-Hogwarts in my opinion). It’s unfinished, but interesting. There’s not much for today, though there were quite a few new chapters today. Here’s a list of them: The Unseen Hunt, It Gets Worse (this was the last chapter), The Remnant Knight, Enough (the second to last chapter) and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers. I also finished rereading Harry Potter and the Daft Morons (I hope Sinyk gets back to it soon).

I read two chapters of Honestly Harry – The Year of the Rock. However, the only other thing was the pdf of the third Baccano! light novel, “1931 – The Grand Punk Railroad – Express Episode.”

What shall I talk about in this free space? Hm, how about I talk about one of my favorite manga/animes Case Closed (in America, even though it stopped being dubbed after 6 seasons) or Detective Conan. It’s about Shinichi Kudo (I’m going with the Japanese names in English style. Why? Because I watch mostly the sub version to keep up), whose a high school detective that has helped the police solve many cases. He goes to a theme park with his not-girlfriend Ran Mori and after he solves a case there, follows some shady men. One of them catches him and forces him to take a poison that should kill him. However, it actually de-ages him to elementary school age. He eventually ends up staying with Ran and her (not very good) detective father, Kogoro Mori. Neither knows who he really is and he depends on his inventor neighbor to help him solve Kogoro’s cases for him. All while trying to find the people who did this to him to get back his body. This is no easy task, as is shown in that it’s still going after 24 years (the manga started in 1994 and isn’t finished yet). It has over 1000 chapters (though it’s on hiatus for the author’s medical treatment), over 900 episodes and over 20 movies. It must be doing something right. The animation is older at first, but gets better as the years go by. I really recommend this to anyone who is a fan of mystery shows.

My dog kept me up again because of storms, but I slept late so I’m okay. The only new chapter (from a story I’ve already talked about) I got today was Mauling Snarks, I guess to make up for yesterday’s haul. I got a new chapter for a Seerking story (one that’s not in his normal rotation) called ‘Ranma: Happenstance Gone Right.’ It’s a Ranma ½ story that has Akane not being able to be his fiancée after a diversion in one of the events that makes it so that only Shampoo and Ukyo can marry him. I also rewatched the first few episodes of Log Horizon. It’s a light novel turned anime about a lot of people playing an online game being transported into the game. The main character, Shiroe, along with his friends have to figure out how to live in this new situation while trying to figure out what happened. I like this one and have watched it several times, I hope a third season eventually comes out.

I also reread ‘The Road not Taken’ by sbmcneil. It’s a Harry Potter fic that has Sirius meeting Harry after he runs away in the third book and taking him away for the summer. I last story I started rereading today was ‘Harry and Ginny: A Love Story’ by Epeefencer. It’s a Soul Bond that happens after the Chamber. Harry is drawn to help Ginny and its discovered they have a soul bond. Forces work to help and protect them, while Dumbledore is trying to find out why his plans have gone wrong. It’s interesting and I suggest it, even if it hasn’t been updated since 2015 (the author updates some of their other fics, sometimes). The first thing I read today was another new fic by TexasBean called ‘Harry Potter and The Immortals.’ It’s a Harry Potter and Baccano! crossover fic. Baccano! is a light novel/anime about several groups of people who became immortal at different points in time. The anime jumps around the timeline every episode, so if you’re not a fan of non-linear stories it may not be for you (although it’s a lot less than Homestuck). The books are better focusing on one time period at a time. There are a least sixteen books (in Japan at least) out now and the newest one has been delayed twice because the author hasn’t been feeling well.

The story has McGonagall meeting the main group after the anime finished (1933ish) and meeting up with them several times after that. When Dumbledore has to get a DADA teacher for Harry’s fifth year or get Umbridge, she suggests one of them. Watch the craziness unfold when the Baccano! crew is brought in! The second new fic for me was ‘Harry Potter and the Stargate’ by Sinyk. When I was rereading more chapters of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons, I went to the author’s stories page and found it. It is (as shown in the title) a Harry Potter and Stargate crossover. It has Harry going through the Veil of Death instead of Sirius and learning it is a Stargate and that he is the only one to have made it through the trip. Watch and see what happens (Stargate and Harry Potter in the same universe, not universe traveling). Then I read a few one-shots by senawario. The first one is ‘There’s more than one binding in that contract,’ which has Hermione helping Harry to get a copy of the rules of the Triwizard Tournament. I also read another one-shot by Temporal Knight called ‘Hedwig Slightly Unhinged.’ This one has Hedwig wanting to help her master and gets him in a marriage contract before he even gets to Hogwarts. To start off, I read the weekly new story update from Seerking. The fic is called ‘Swordsaint’ and is a Sword Art Online story. It has an OC programmer joining SAO and her presence changes things greatly. It’s currently 16 chapters long and I enjoy reading it. I started reading ‘The Potter Coven’ by flowerchild33. It’s a fic about Hermione getting together with Harry after the tournament and learning the only way get rid of the horcrux is to make a coven.

Moving on, I reread the fic ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Freedom’ by sakurademonalchemist. It’s 42 chapters long (so far) and is a Harry Potter and KHR crossover. After the future incident, the arcabaleno (starting with Skull) wake up in their younger bodies. Skull wakes up as a young boy in a cupboard in a life he tried to get away from. Skull changes many things and tries to help his fellow arcabaleno even if they don’t know who he is. Thursday

Sorry this is a day late everyone! I fell asleep early and forgot to write and post. So, on Thursday I finished The Potter Coven. There were chapter updates for: Cambion, ‘Harry Potter, Lone Traveler, God and Wizard,’ Queen of the Seas, Ripples and Rising Dragon, Hidden Hammers.

I found an author I liked (kb0) posted a one-shot called ‘Starting Over.’ It’s a Harry Potter fic set in his first year where Harry doesn’t like how things are in Hogwarts and decides to leave. I remember that I reread another one-shot sometime this week called ‘Harry’s Happy Cursing’ by White Angel of Auralon. It has Harry activating a curse that causes people to suffer for as much as they’ve ruined other people’s lives.

I also read the last chapter of Darker Than Black – Heaven’s Gate. It was okay, a fun little fic, but not much else. I would suggest it, but not if you haven’t watched the series.

Other than that, I got to episode 13 (the end before the 3 specials) of Baccano! and read more of Harry Potter and the Daft Morons. Nothing much else on Thursday. I’ll get the Monday post up on time!

Homestuck and Some Other Things

Tuesday

Today I read a lot of pages of the online mspaint story I mentioned earlier – Homestuck. After you get a hundred or so pages in (very short pages with some videos) it becomes a lot more interesting (and convoluted. It has not stopped getting more so, so far). I ended the on the page 522 for that one today (with no end in sight).

Other than that, I read some more chapters of Viridescent and read some manga chapters of the anime I previously mentioned, Black Lagoon. In doing so, I was surprised to see that the hiatus it was on (since 2014) ended long enough last year to finish the current story act (though it is now back on hiatus).

I forgot to mention, but I also started rereading a fanfiction called ‘Desperately Seeking Ranma’ by PixelWriter1 a day or two ago. It is a Ranma ½ fic with many OCs (Original Characters) that is set after the main storyline (of both the anime and manga) where many things go wrong right afterwards and Ranma and Kasumi leave Nerima. The story starts after said event (but the event in question is in a short story by the same author called ‘Aftermath’ with a one-shot direct sequel called ‘The Fugitives’) and is mostly centered on Nabiki as the main character. It has ‘magical girls’, ‘demons’ (both the more traditional ‘kill everything’ ones and ones that are more ‘nice aliens’ who just want ice cream and chocolate), portals to other realities and much, much more. It even has a crossover with “Sailor Moon” (although the author didn’t plan on it at first. Also, not a good read for fans of Sailor Moon). I like this story very much and reread it many times. Sadly the author has not updated in two years. This doesn’t mean we haven’t heard from them, just that they have confessed to being stuck and not having much time to write. I hope they get the time to write and post soon!

For those who do not know, Sailor Moon is one of the oldie, but goodie animes (as long as you watch the Japanese sub version, the English Dub is horrible because they cut out a lot to make it a kids show. Like the lesbian characters in a later season, making one of them male. On a slightly related note, did you guys know the that the English version of Pokemon cut out an episode in the original series [Around the Safari Zone], where there is a gun and Ash gets shot?). There is a newer remake of it that is condensed from the original and more closely follows the manga called, “Sailor Moon Crystal”. I haven’t really seen it, but it looks okay. The series is about a girl named Usagi (Yes, it means rabbit) Tsukino who encounters a talking cat (named Luna, really original) that gives her the means to transform in Sailor Moon (making her a Moon Rabbit). She and her fellow Sailor Scouts fight against the dark forces while trying to find their princess. Like I said, check it out (just not the dub).

The last thing I did was read a new chapter of a story called ‘A Sith’s Second Chance’ by VFSNAKE (a really good and fairly prolific writer, I mean 96 stories!). It is a Star Wars fic that has Darth Vader being transported to Naboo at the beginning of Episode I after he dies in Episode VI. He has a younger (non-cybernetic) body and a desire to correct all the wrongs that happened in the universe while setting things up to eventually face his younger self. I quite like this one as well, along with many of VFSNAKE’s fics. Wednesday

I’ll start off with Seerking’s normal Wednesday story update. This one is called ‘Ashikabi of Thunder and Lightning’. It is a Sekirei fanfiction. In this one, the main character’s (Minato) mother, Takami decides that there is no way to stop her son (Unlike the original) from becoming an Ashikabi (a mate of the Sekirei) and sends twin Sekirei to help him in the hopes he will wing them. He does and this leads to many things good and bad to happen. Look it up if it seems interesting! Only one new chapter today and it was from Warlock. I finished off Viridescent and read a few more chapters of Desperately Seeking Ranma. Other than that I read many more pages of Homestuck today, getting to page 1931. Wondering when the end was, I looked it up and found that it had over 8000 pages before the end! It’s too bad it wasn’t over 9000, but some things can’t be helped. Things are making a lot more sense, in a twisted sort of way. Also, the character John has an obsession with the movie Con-Air’s ending (not that I don’t like it myself), as shown on the page I ended on. I really am emotionally on the same page as the troll on this one.

Thursday

I was busy today, so there’s not much I read today. I got to page 1994 of Homestuck, where we finally are about to learn more about the trolls. Reread all of the 7 chapters of A Sith’s Second Chance. The only new story I read was ‘I Aim to Misbehave’ by White Squirrel.

It’s a Harry Potter and Firefly crossover with the prologue showing Harry and his friends helping the evacuation of Earth (very pre-Firefly) and Harry finally leaving too in a sleep pod on a ship. He wakes up in very distant future and is looking to find his descendants. It’s been a while since I watched Firefly (Sadly), so I don’t know where it converges with it. However, I think it is a divergent timeline anyway. It’s only a prologue and the first chapter so far, but looks interesting. In the absence of more things I’ve read today, I’ll talk about another book series I’m a fan of – the Pendragon Series by D. J. MacHale. The series is about a young boy named Bobby Pendragon who is taken by his Uncle Press on an adventure to other dimensions to save all the dimensions from Saint Dane, who is trying to them down. He has to do this because he is a ‘Traveler’, one of 10 chosen to protect the dimensions. He records his journey on journals that he sends back to his friends back home. The series has 10 books in the main story and 3 ‘origin story’ compilations on the other Travelers. Look it up, it’s really good!

Also on PoGo, there are a now many Kanto (Gen 1) Pokemon available. In addition to that the three legendary birds will be in raid (with a chance for Shiny) until the 20th. After that for a month and few days until Oct. 23rd, Mewtwo will be a regular raid boss (maybe in preparation for Deoxys being the new EX raid boss). Finally the Gen 1 regionals will be available in 7 km eggs, though I don’t know the stats for that happening. This is through the end of the month. Good luck to everyone!

The New Normal

Hello everyone! As the title indicates, after today’s post things are going to change. After reading some of The Art of Blogging’s posts since my post yesterday, I decided that I needed to have more time between my posts to allow each post time to be the top post. Since I proved that I can post every day for a week, I’m going to change it to posting twice a week. This doesn’t mean I won’t be writing each day for the blog, just that I will only post what I’ve written twice weekly. This means I will have multiple days posts in one post, so be warned they may be a bit longer than my posts have been so far.

I read a few chapters of Ashes of the Past today, but the main fanfiction that I’ve read since the last post is ‘Heroes Assemble!’ a Harry Potter/Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) & Marvel Universe (MU) crossover by Stargon1. Anyone who does not know about the MCU can look it up and watch the movies, there’s way too much there to try and cover in this post (I mean there have been ten years worth of movies with more to come). I mention the MU because characters and situations in the story are not or have not yet been shown in the MCU (like Squirrel Girl and the fact that they use the second set of Spiderman movies not the one in the MCU).

The premise of Heroes Assemble! is that after a few years as an auror, Harry decided everything was too much (he’s not with Ginny in this one and she’s one of the reasons he leaves, there is no pairing for him yet) and left to travel the world for 5ish years. The last inhabited continent he goes to is North Amercia and decides to by a place in New York City to use as staging place. It ends up turning into a pub and Harry is around during the attack of the Chitauri and puts on dragonhide clock to help out and ends up an Avenger. Watch as his presence changes the MCU in fun and interesting ways. I would definitely recommend all 66 of the current chapters. It hasn’t gotten to Avengers 2 yet, but it’s getting closer. I haven’t read anything else today, but I figured I’d mention a fun anime that only has one season so far, but will most likely have more eventually (the artist for the show was caught tracing the characters from other shows and production it stalled). It’s called No Game, No Life. It started off as a light novel series (that has been released in the United States), but became an anime and manga. It has a set of stepsiblings, Sora and Shiro, who are genius shut-ins that play and dominate games that play as the undefeated [] or Blank. They are challenged to a game by a mysterious entity and when they win, are transported to a world were every thing has to be decided by games (by the rule of the God that brought them there). They aim to defeat everyone and challenge said God. It’s funny and worth watching/reading, be sure to look it up.

The Second Day

Hello everyone. You’ll be exited to know that I finished Black Sky and am going to move onto a new story! I’ve decided to reread a fanfiction that I haven’t been keeping up with recently called ‘Ashes of the Past’. It’s a time travel Pokemon fanfiction by Saphroneth. It’s another longer fanfiction that with the newest chapter today has 279 chapters. The premise is that the main bad guys from Diamond and Pearl [DP] (Team Galactic not Team Rocket because while the main trio was somewhat competent in Black & White or Best Wishes [BW], they’re basically a joke) fulfills their goal at the end of BW while Ash isn’t around and destroys the universe. Ash is chosen (as usual) to go back with his memories and stop their plans by Arceus (the Pokemon God that was not ‘Lord Helix’). He gets a crash course in aura (which was basically ignored after being introduced) and goes back to start of his journey. Luckily, aura allows him to remind his friends and Pokemon of their memories up to the end of BW (and allows him to understand Pokemon). It’s very silly and has only really gotten serious in the latest chapters now that it has gotten to the DP storyline. The link to it is – http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7262793/1/.

Before I talk about the rest of what I did today, I wanted to have a rant. Now I like Katekyoshi Hitman Reborn (KHR), but there are so many things wrong with the way the main character is brought up and treated that I was reminded of in Black Sky. Before people start going on about how it’s only a story, let me say this – kids read or watch these stories and are affected by how characters (especially the main one) act and are treated.

Tsunayoshi or Tsuna is the main character of KHR. When he activates his inherited ability at the age of five, his father convinces his boss (a mafia boss) to seal it because he doesn’t want his kid in the mafia (because the ability is only used by mafia). This is great because what father wants his kid in the mafia, never mind that said father is in the mafia himself, is never home, and tells his wife and kid that he’s off being ‘a star’. What a great example of a father, not!

Putting that aside, sealing what is considered his Will either made him clumsy and unable to concentrate or he had a disability and no one ever did anything about it. This leads to him being bullied by students and teachers and given the nickname “No-Good Tsuna.” What does his mother, the only parent he really knows, say to this? “What did I do to have such a no-good son.” Wow mom, what a job of parenting you’re doing. Then the other main character shows up, Reborn.

Reborn was sent to teach Tsuna how to become the next boss of an Italian mafia because the mafia boss that sealed him (which Tsuna didn’t know about and which isn’t even released until later in the series) three son’s have all gotten killed and he’s the only Heir left. This is ignoring that he’s a Japanese civilian who is thirteen years old that has been bullied and ignored by his father and looked down upon by his mother. Also, who would want to be the Heir of a mafia family that can’t even keep it’s own Heirs safe?

Now, knowing all this does Reborn (who looks like a baby and claims to be the “Greatest Hitman”) help him work through his problems? Yes, by shooting him with bullets that will kill him if he doesn’t have a regret in order to activate his ability through the seal, kicking and pushing him around, and ignoring the fact that Tsuna doesn’t want to be a mafia boss in the first place. Wow, what a great mafia boss he’ll be, being used to getting pushed around by someone else to get what they want and possibly hating the mafia because they ruined his life. I know I’d love for him to be the boss of the mafia I’m in! … (That was sarcasm, if you couldn’t tell).

Okay rant over, don’t get me started on Albus Dumbledore though. Moving on, over the past few days I have been working on finally getting the Ghost Pokemon medal on Pokemon Go (PoGo). There is a nest of Duskull nearby and today I finally got the medal! For those who don’t know, that means I’ve caught or hatched 200 ghost type pokemon on PoGo. The was the second to last pokemon type medal I’m missing. The last one is the dragon type medal and I’m only missing 19 dragon types until I get it.

I started PoGo on the first day it came out and am only missing the regionals not in the US except Farfetch’d. I’m not a shiny hunter, but I do have some. I haven’t got Regirock, but since it only came out yesterday and I haven’t raided in the last few days. It’s fine, it’ll be around of another month anyway. My friend code is 1255 5332 9245, if you play PoGo. I’ll do my best to sent gifts, but don’t get enough most days to send to everyone I’m already friends with. However, I’ll do my best to raise our friendship if you do friend me. I’m looking forward to it!

Like yesterday, I read some new chapters of stories I’m following. The one I’m going to talk about is called ‘Mauling Snarks’ by CmptrWz. It’s another Worm story like Taylor Varga, but isn’t a crossover. In Mauling Snarks, one of the main bad guy groups is not really one, but pretends to be because their members have powers that lean towards destruction and are sent against those the good guys can’t go after for one reason or another. The leader of this group is the uncle of Taylor (only in this fiction) and visits when she is stuck in the locker. His power affects hers (because family have similar powers) and she gets a different one than the original story. Like Taylor Varga, chaos and amusement abound. The last thing I’m going to mention is that I’m also going to start working through a collection of stories by H.P. Lovecraft because several things from them are mentioned in Taylor Varga and even though he’s a horror writer, I’m curious. By the way, I plan to post at least once a day, just to let people know.
