Reorganizing Can Make You Late

Hello, everyone. Sorry for missing last week’s post. I was busy rearranging my books and other items during the long weekend. Then I tried to donate blood, but there were issues that meant I wasn’t able to actually donate (to do with situational issues not anything new) and had to wait for another two months. I gave up at that point and decided to do a double update this week.

As for work, it’s been the same. I applied to a slightly off the mark (for me) position and haven’t heard back if I even actually qualify. We’ve also started doing the summer work and it’s causing space issues. There was even a meeting on Friday that went late, so I get to leave early tomorrow!

I’m also on the last four Alpha Pokémon in Legends Arceus (the four fossils) after that it’s just GMax female Venosaur and I’ll have all the extended Living Dex (that I made up myself). That means all the forms, gender differences, GMax and Alphas (plus the hat Pikachu that can be on Home) [Along with both genders of the last two with gender differences]. I also did get the regular Switch version of Legends Z-A and did the trade Alpha evolutions of Pumpkaboo (all Sizes) and Feebas (Male and female). All that’s left is to continue working to get all of them to level 100. They’re all at least level 35 and most are level 50. Some are 100, but it’s a matter of stages; 20, 35, 50, 70, 90 and then 100. Oh, and I just posted the fourth chapter of my fic, Theurgy Thru Replevy. Please check it out with the link on My Fanfics.

Anyway, it’s time for the listening changes. I finished Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life Vol 2 and listened to Youjo Senki Vol 2. In this one, Tanya gets to take her newly formed battalion and go to three fronts of the war! She follows her orders, complaining in her head the entire time about them and her troops being battle happy. However, everyone else sees her as the battle happy one. Follow her on a trip of misunderstandings and war.

I just finished that one and started on She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man Vol 2. I haven’t gotten far in this one (like 5 minutes), but I’m fairly sure this one is more about Mira trying to find the other 7 sages. She’ll go to a dungeon to try and get some more information about one of them. Will she find one or more? I guess we’ll find out.

I also finished Parenting is not a Varia Quality part of the story and so that slot will just be Black Sky for now. Then I finished Back to the Beginning and decided to listen to I am [Redacted] by Titus621. It’s an MHA fic where Izuku didn’t got to UA but went to America to study with All Might instead (and it’s implied that AFO and his group followed him there). It’s set three years after the 1-A graduated and Nimbus or Redacted is the number 1 hero. He’s called Redacted because his identity is hidden to protect his family and all the line says is Redacted. In reality, it’s Izuku and he starts to get close to Ochaco when her new agency is near the restaurant his parents own. Watch their relationship grow and Izuku realize that maybe he’s going about things the wrong way. It’s completed with 22 chapters!

I got a point in A Darker Path that I don’t remember, so I stopped listening and changed it to Constellations by UnwelcomeStorm. It’s a Worm and Okami crossover that I first mentioned here. Taylor meets Amaterasu in her Great Wolf form when she’s young and gets lost at camp. She pops up again after Taylor’s mom dies and continues to come and cheer her up and encourage her to draw. When her flute is damaged, Sunny (what Taylor calls her) fixes it. This eventually leads to her becoming the Miko of a falling apart shrine. She fixes it up and even makes Oni Lee less of a monster. Danny’s a cape in this one as well. It still only has 54 chapters and hasn’t been updated since 2021.

Finally, I also finished The Road Not Taken and decided to listen to Pokemon: Shadow of Time – Kanto Arc by Ron the True Fan. This is another Pokémon time travel fic, but darker. Cyrus taking control of Palkia and Dialga eventually leads to them destroying the world while Ash is in Alola. Celebi sends Ash back with a copy of his Pokémon’s memories in his head to stop Cyrus from controlling them in the first place. However, the world he wakes up in the start of his journey is very different. Shadow Pokémon roam the land and guns are normal. Watch an angry Ash do what he can to fix things while finding his Pokémon, or they find him. It’s an Ash/multi and has several fics, this is just the first.

Well, time for the quest; first is Gamer of the Sword by fg7dragon. This is a Fate/Stay Night SI with Gamer powers that I first mentioned here. Shirou is taken over by someone who knows the series and is given The Gamer power soon after Kiritsugu dies. He decides to train and make changes to help himself and those he likes. His main partner is Sakura, but he has a harem. It has 15 chapters and is completed with a set up for another fic. Sadly, the author hasn’t posted since 2018, but they are still around because they favorited a fic that was only published in March.

Second is an odd one. It was originally Gate to the elven god, Tanya’s republic but the author completely rewrote in and renamed it to Gate to the Tanyan Republics by ShirouKuroEmiya. It’s a Youjo Senki and Gate: Thus the JDF Fought There crossover where Tanya is a god on the other side of the Gate. After she dies after a long and happy life, but her spirit wanders and ends up on the Gate world. 100 years later, she’s a god. In the original she was the God of the Elves that the team finds (who don’t die) and she doesn’t meet them until they get to the village. The rewrite, she and a team infiltrate the team sent to Japan originally and help them stop the attack. They both only had 3 chapters and the reboot was last updated in 2024. Honestly, this author isn’t my favorite and it’s only on here because I thought the original was an interesting idea.

Third is General Zod by TheBeardedOne. This is a prequel to another of this author’s main fics but this is just in the DC Comics. This tells the story of how Zod’s story goes in this fic, which is a bit different then cannon. I won’t say much more to not spoil it. It’s completed but the characters don’t interact with the main story it’s in until the fic.

Fourth is also odd as the reason it’s here is because I call it German fic, but it’s really Aufstand Gegen Danzou by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a Naruto one-shot and it’s translation is Uprising Against Danzou. I put it through a translator to read it, but essentially, Naruto is imprisoned and his friends rise up against Danzou. It’s interesting, but I wish there was an official translation.

Fifth is Ginny Returns by kb0. This is a Harry Potter fic that really like and mentioned first here. The war is over and only Ginny and a disabled Hermione are left. Ginny refuses to leave things as they are and finds a way back in time. Hermione helps her (at the cost of her life) and Ginny goes back to the summer before her first year. She makes many changes and Harry and Sirius are the only ones who finds out she’s from an alternate future. It’s great and has a Harry who doesn’t just accept her because his past self did and works to find out who her really likes. It’s complete and worth the read.

Sixth is Ginny’s Decision by Epeefencer. This is a Harry Potter one-shot where things go differently when Harry goes to break up with Ginny. She doesn’t just accept it and pushes back with her own decision. It really only goes over the start of her influence, and the most important part, but it’s an interesting premise if anyone ever does something like it.

Seventh and the last today is Ginny’s Plan by kb0. This one is similar, but her plan is different. It’s Harry Potter and I’ve mentioned it before here. She convinces him to be smarter about it and that she’ll never take him back if he leaves. Her plan changes things and Dumbles is shattered. It has 13 chapters and it complete.

The Start of the G’s

Hello, readers! Sorry this is late, like I said last time, I had to get the links for the next ones on the fic list, the Gs. However, I also had a performance with the music learning company I take classes from. I performed part of a song that I’ve been working on and after being slightly off at first, the rest was fine. Maybe if someone is actually interested, I’ll post a link to a recording of me singing, lol.

I’ve also finally gotten most of the Pokémon from Legends Arceus! All I have left is the Alpha versions of Oshawott and the 4 fossil Pokémon. I also have all of my extended Living Dex to at least level 35 (except the Spinda I have that I can’t even move out of Home). After I finish Arceus, all that’s left to complete what I can get of the extended Living Dex is a Male Alpha Houndoom and a Female GMax Venusaur.

So, I didn’t change much on my listening list, but there were some. First, I finished She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man Vol 1and went onto Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life Vol 2. Mile has graduated the hunter school and created the Crimson Vow with her friends. Now as C rank hunters they have to figure out their strengths, weaknesses and try all kinds of quests. From hunting monsters to escorting missions, they try it all. Now what’s this about a huge bandit issue? Watch as Mile continues to try and be average!

Second, I didn’t finish Black Sky, but I reached a point where another one of their stories intersected with it. It’s called Parenting is not a Varia Quality and it follows some OCs from this author. Two are a team from the Varia, Maínomai and Pyr, and the other is Nono Vongola’s granddaughter Erica Lanza, who’s working as the CDFs secretary. Maínomai is an easily distracted Mist and is Christmas shopping when he runs into Erica. He asks her to help him and they hit it off. They have a short fling and she gets pregnant. She keeps it and Pyr (his Cloud best friend) helps Maínomai discover about his family in case there’re any issues. There are also a few little silly side stories. There is a list on Umei no Mai’s profile of how it fits into the original story.

Finally, I also finished The Fire-eyed Princess (because it was short) and listened to Incandescence also by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a KHR and Yu-Gi-Oh crossover that I first mentioned here. In this one, Tsuna is sent back in time, and an accident kills his mom when he’s young. He fakes his records on the way to the orphanage so Iemitsu can’t find him and adopts an active Sun who begins to think he’s really his brother. Needless to say, he becomes Kaiba but does things differently. He refuses to take over the Vongola and is working to make his own group. However, there’s also Yugi, who’s actually a girl and eventually becomes his love interest. It’s still at 20 chapters and hasn’t updated since 2021.

I finished it and moved onto Nightmare’s End by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Persona 5 and Harry Potter crossover. Fem Harry (Haruhi) transfers into Shujin Academy after leaving England (after the books) and then getting falsely accused (yes, she takes Joker’s place). She helps take down several of the targets from the game (that I’ve honestly never played) and starts to expand the metaverse to England. It only has 7 chapters and was last updated in 2020.

That one was also finished along with the next one, Liliko by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a Naruto and Harry Potter crossover one-shot that I mentioned before here. Kushina is dragged from her deathbed during the Kyuubi attack into the past and de-aged. There she’s forced into the role of Lily Evans and she tries to figure out how to eventually get back home. However, she is later compelled to marry James and has Harry (or rather Haru). She breaks all the controls and escapes back home before the Kyuubi attack. How will she deal with the attack and what happens back in England? Read and find out.

The one I’m actually on now is The Road Not Taken by sbmcneil. It’s a Harry/Ginny story I first mentioned here. Sirius finds Harry soon after he leaves the Dursleys the summer before his third year. He convinces Harry to join him for the summer and tells him about Scabbers. Harry decides to do better at school and look out for Ginny. It’s complete and a great read.

So for the quest, we’re now on the G’s! First is Gabriel by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a Harry Potter fic that I first mentioned here. It’s a Twin Potters and Wrong BWL fic where Harry is thought to be a squib by Dumbles and is raised in an orphanage. He’s picked up by one of the best assassins and taken in to be trained by him. Years later, he’s Gabriel, the best upcoming assassin and is being hired to take out some Death Eaters. Will he discover his family links? Find out in this completed fic!

Second is Game On! by nordiamus. This is a KHR and Harry Potter fic that I mentioned before here. Harriet Potter (fem Harry) dies after becoming The Master of Death and discovers she’s immortal. She accepts several concept’s (including Chaos) plan to reincarnate her several times to build up her Godly powers. So she’s reincarnated as Tsuna’s twin in the recent past and changes how things go in that world. This one surprisingly has a good father Iemitsu and her love interest is is Reborn (or Renato) [This is because she was older when she died and is not weird]. There are references to where she goes in some of her later lives, but it ends when she dies in this life and learns of her new title, Shadow.

Third is the sequel, Game On! 2 0. This one is a crossover with Fullmetal Alchemist. Shadows’s reincarnated as Ed and Al’s younger sister. She changes many things, but the biggest thing is that she manages to help Al keep most of his body. Things are thrown more off track because someone has managed to join the game from her old life, someone who loves her. How will things go with Reborn as Roy? It also ends with her death is this life.

Fourth is the next one, Game On! 3 0. This one actually takes Shadow back to her original world, but in the farther in the past. This time she’s crossing over with InuYasha and as Sesshoumaru’s daughter, Tsukiko. She and Renato grow up and train until they eventually meet Kagome and follow her into the far past. After meeting her uncle, she helps him to understand her father and how to be a youkai. Watch as her pack grows. This one doesn’t actually end when she dies as she has to figure out where some of her pack that was in the past went.

Fifth is Game On! 3 1. This one is a continuation of 3.0’s life but starts a crossover with Yu Yu Hakusho. Tsukiko is trying to find out where the rest of her pack is and Chaos’ game leads her to Yusuke. She trains him and his friends while working on the mystery. This life also continues into the next one.

Sixth is Game On! 3 2. This one also continues 3.0’s life but is set in the future and is a crossover with ½ Prince (a manga about a genderbending avatar in a VR game). Tsukiko heads to T City and finds a Chaos Game notification about another hero. So she joins Second Life and meets up with Prince. It’s a silly little excursion, but interesting.

Seventh and the final one I’ll mention is Game On! 3 5. This one is the final one (and a one-shot) for this life and is a set up for the next one (that is not on the list as it wasn’t out when I first started). The pack learns that a Low Tide of magic coming and the magic people and creatures need to escape. They manage to get most out, but Tsukiko and a few others have to stay. They watch as the world evolves into the world of Naruto. To help things after she passes away, she decides to be reborn to help Naruto, which is in the next one. There are four more fics currently and the last one is being worked on.

Well, that took a while and most of it was one series. I also forgot to mention that on Friday I accidentally pulled a muscle in my left leg. It’s mostly fine now (no pain, just stiffness), I just have an odd gait. I hope it’s completely healed up soon. As always – May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key!

Progress!!!

Hello, readers. Another week has passed and on Friday I finally did something I’ve been trying to do for a long time… I finally got the last Unown Alpha (?)! I’m ecstatic and am now working on getting the different gender alphas I don’t have before I work on the fossils and Rowlet line in the space time rifts. I may get all the alphas I’m missing before long, yay!

Works been work. I have a training on Monday, but it’s just a normal renewal thing so I’m not worried. We have to work on rearranging stock to make way for actual desks for some co-workers (mostly because one of them wants an actual desk and the other two don’t care as they work out and about). We also have a location closing and my team has to help pack and move everything starting this week.

The first change to my listening list is that I finished Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! Vol 1 and decided to relisten to The Saga of Tanya the Evil Vol 1. This is because I know the 2^nd season is coming out and I’ve never actually gotten past vol 3 even though I have all 14 books in person. The Salaryman dies and is reincarnated in an alternate world as a young girl. There through mostly his own misunderstandings is forced into more perilous situations (with some nudging from the heavenly side). It’s an interesting story and I’ve been wanting to read it through for a while.

The only other change is that I finished Hybird Hive – Eat Shard and it’s ‘sequels’. It’s not really sequels, just other Taylors that were accidentally created and where they ended up. One ends up in the MCU when Loki opens the portal in Avengers 1. The other one ends up in a canon Worm before that Taylor goes out. The last one is a what if Taylor found Star Wars in her universe before Alderaan was destroyed.

I replaced it with A Darker Path by ack1308. It’s a Worm AU that I’ve mentioned before in the list here. Taylor triggers with The Path to Ending instead of Queen Administrator. It allows her to kill whatever she wants with steps like Contessa. She takes is and runs with is like the Queen of Escalation that she is. It’s complete and a fun read.

Now, to the quest; first is Fluffy Firsts: Tales of H&G’s first kiss by MrIntel. This one is a set of 8 one-shots on how Harry and Ginny could get together/have their first kiss. They mostly fluffy, but some have angst as well. It’s worth the read!

Second is Follow the Phoenix by Rachelme177. I’ve mentioned this one earlier here because its sequel was in the As. Albus makes better decisions after the end of 5^th year and takes Harry in. Ginny is his support and they get together earlier in the year. It’s complete (obviously as it has a sequel).

Third is For The Honor Of The Regiment by mp3.1415player. It’s a Worm and BOLO series crossover that I first mentioned here. A BOLO tank (AI driven) is sent to places unknown and ends up taking over Queen Administrator. It activates the connection early and trains Taylor early as it’s operator. The Story goes back and forth between past and present. Sadly incomplete with 25 chapters.

Fourth is For Want of an Outfit by CmptrWz. This is one of my favorites and is a Harry Potter AU with slight crossover with several stories including Kingdom Hearts. I actually just realized I’ve never mentioned it on here because I haven’t listened to it recently. The Dursley’s force Harry to dress like a girl when a trunk of Lily’s old clothes is dropped on their doorstep one day when he’s young. He gets used to it, but it forces them to realize how badly their treating him. By then he’s used to it and decides to do it to be close to his mother. He discovers magic early and many things are different. It’s incomplete but has 271 chapters (and I’m fairly sure the reason it’s not being updated is that the author is planning the next part out and writing it).

Fifth is Force of Souls by Kairomaru. It’s a Bleach AU where the main change I can remember at first is that Ichigo is with Orihime and Tatsuki before Rukia shows up and Ichigo is less restrained in his interest in girls. The girls also become soul reapers and that’s just one of the changes. It’s worth reading and has 36 chapters and was updated in Feb.

Sixth and final is Forever Red by LilyannaSpiritOfTheCheetah. I’ve also mentioned this one before here as it’s the 2^nd sequel oneshot to The Winged Lord and Lady of the Skies about the Power Rangers. It’s the in-fic version of the crossover from the series of the same name. The main differences are that the teams are closer in general, there are more concrete relationships and Kira (Tommy and Kim’s daughter) is involved.

That’s it for this week. There are 15 alphas I need from Legends Arceus, 2 from Legends Z-A (both gender alpha forms) and a female G-Max Venusaur to complete my living dex. I look forward to only having to get them all up to 100! As always, May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key!

Plays and Sleep Can Make You Late

Hello again, readers. I’m sorry this is late. As I write this on Sunday, I know this because I’m trying to get a better sleep cycle. I’ve been waking up during the night and not sleeping well again, so I decided to follow some suggestions that I looked up and leave screens off for around an hour before I go to sleep. As I usually write most of this right before bed, I need to start writing this earlier. I would have today, but I went and saw Back To The Future: The Musical and that took up a lot of my Sunday afternoon combined with travel time, dinner and food shopping.

My listening changes are as thus – first I finished Reborn as a Space Mercenary vol 14 and am now listening to Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! Vol 1By FUNA. This one is actually on the quest list but is under Mile because that’s the name the webnovel I original got it from had at the start of the title. I started it on Audible because this one just came out on it. It’s about a school genius who dies right after high school graduation saving a little girl. It turns out that girl will do something great in the future and God wants to reincarnate her with powers as a thank you. However, she’s already seen the bad side of having power and tells him she wants to be average in her new life. God grants her wish, but makes it so that she’s average compared to everything that lives on the new world. Watch as this ditsy girl does her best to life an average life (and fails).

I also finished Harry Potter and the Chance at a New Life and I decided to relisten to my one of my favorite fics, Black Sky by Umei no Mai. It’s the first fanfiction I mention on this Blog and I listen to it often. It’s a Harry Potter and KHR crossover with a female Harry who’s actually Sirius’ daughter. It follows her as she goes through her life at Hogwarts and onto meeting and interacting with the KHR characters starting in her fifth year. It currently has 343 chapters and was sadly last updated in 2024. Looking forward to it being updated at some point.

And now, onto the quest: first is Flames of the Black Cat by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a KHR and Black Cat crossover that I first mentioned here. It has Train (the MC of Black Cat) reborn as a female Tsuna. She quickly figures out that things would be bad if she stays at her house, so she becomes a hitman. She affects the Vongola without really trying and finds some fellow reincarnates. It has 12 chapters and was last updated in 2018.

Second is Flames of the Creed by sakurademonalchemist. This one is a KHR and Assassin’s Creed crossover that I first mentioned here. Tsuna is from an Assassin bloodline but is sealed due to a Templar plot. Assassins find him, release the seal and train him. Now that he’s been tagged to be the 10^th boss of the Vongola, he has to get rid of the rot of the Templars infecting their investigative branch. It’s 9 chapters and hasn’t been updated since 2018.

Third is Flames of the Night Sky by sakurademonalchemist. This one is a KHR and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha crossover that I first mentioned here. Tsuna’s mom dies and they can’t contact his dad. So, he is adopted by the Takamichis and grows up with Nanoha. He gets caught up in the events of Lyrical Nanoha and gets his own device. They also run into Xansus and his crew. It’s an interesting 12 chapters but it also has not been updated since 2018.

Fourth is Float With Me – 1^st Semester by FifthDancer. This is a MHA fic where Izuku gets a different power first from One-For-All. Instead of Stockpile and its energy, he gets Nana’s quirk, Float. This changes things quite a bit. It’s a Izuku/Ochaco fic, but with many other ships. This one is complete and goes through the Finals of the first semester.

Fifth and final is the first sequel to the previous fic (and the only one I’ll mention as the rest weren’t available when I started this quest) Float With Me: TWO HEROES by FifthDancer. This is this stories version of the first movie – Two Heroes. Izuku and the gang go to I-Island, what could go wrong. This is complete and has two sequels (though the 2^nd one hasn’t been updated in a while).

Hello … It’s me again, again.

To anyone who’s still reading this, I have returned once again. Not so long of a break, but it’s not like I wasn’t writing. I’ve been slowly working on my own fanfiction, but I’ve currently paused writing chapters as I plot out some things. But more on that later.

So, Matt, what have you been doing since we last saw you? Well, many things. I mentioned how I was in a temp position higher up in my company, well I’m no longer in it. Not too long after the last post, my co-worker who was in the same position as me in my official position quit. So, I had to go back and do that job again, while doing what I could of the other position. When I heard that my somewhat former temp position was becoming permanent and accepting applications, I of course applied. Only to be denied and told my previous experience wasn’t enough and that someone else had a better interview.

Needless to say, I wasn’t exactly thrilled about that. Especially that my pay was brought down to a little more than previous levels. This is the fourth time I’ve tried to move up in the company since I joined officially a few months over three years ago and been told no. Three times to the IT department and this one in my own department. It doesn’t make me feel good about myself and being told by the upper echelons of my department that they appreciate me and what I do doesn’t mean much. It’s your actions not your words that matter.

I understand what they said I could have done better in my interview. However, understanding doesn’t mean I have to like or accept it. I think I’ve done a good job in my life of seeing both sides of the story, so I do understand, I just wish that years of work (including one in that position) meant more or that the interview wasn’t so highly weighted. Just because I can see parts of both sides doesn’t mean I agree with both or either. The recent election being one example. This is the only thing I am going to say about it. I am not a member of either party because quite frankly I think both sides have too much hate, propaganda, and disunity. Did I vote? Yes, because it was my right. Am I going to say on this blog which way I voted? Hell no. Topic closed; I will not discuss it again. If you leave a comment or message me about it, I will find out how to ban your email from interacting on the blog again. I don’t need that argument on my blog.

Moving on, for the job, I’m still going to stay and work where I am. I’m working on relearning Spanish because it’s prevalent where I live and it might help. Does it mean that I’m not going to leave if things stay the way they are? That’s for the future.

As I was saying last time, I’m working on one of my famous (infamous?) quests and I plan to finish this one. Though it‘ll be a while before it’s complete. It’s been a few years and I’m only in the middle of the stories starting with L on the reading list and I’m finished with the listening list. That doesn’t mean I’m not still listening to stories/fanfiction.

The one i’m listening to at the moment in my rotation is Code Geass: The Prepared Rebellion V2 by Seerking. I’ve talked about it before here, but it’s still good and been updated recently! The next is an audio book of the Japanese light novel – Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing by Hamuo (no link because I was listening to the official audiobook). It’s a fun story about a gamer who wanted a harder game and ended up reincarnated as a Summoner in another world. But things aren’t easy because he has to work 100 times harder than others to level up because he’s in Hell Mode. There are 7 volumes out in the US and I’m re-listening to volume 2.

Next is Harry Potter and the Daft Morons by Sinyk. And old classic I like to reread and is sadly still uncompleted. I talked about it several times, but never really described it. It’s an evil Dumbles story where Harry uses the first task to show most of wizarding Britain how they are Daft Morons and start the take down of the leaders of the light and dark. It’s a Harry/Hermione/Daphne/Fleur story for those that are interested.

Following that is an amusing light novel series called Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life! By FUNA (again no link because I was reading the official release). A senior high school girl saves the life of a child who will do great things in the future at the cost of her life. As a reward the God watching over the child sends her to another world with anything she wants. After seeing how being exceptional leads her life to be in her previous life, she only asks to be average. The God agrees, but instead of average by human standards, he does it in average of all life on her new world. With ‘average’ abilities and her lack of common sense, this is a hilarious story. There are 18 volumes available in the US. I’m re-listening to volume 6. It’s not an actual audio book though, just the pdfs in voice dream.

Next is Mauling Snarks by CmptrWz. It’s completed and still really amusing and interesting as all of CmptrWz’s stories are. I’ve talked about it previously here. Next is History’s Strongest Disciple Again? By azndrgn. One of the few Kenichi fanfics I’ve read and I beta read this one! I talked about it previously here. Finally, the last on the rotation is the translated web novel for Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody. This is another isekai story about a game designer who ends up in another world with cheat abilities and has no idea how he got there or de-aged. I plan to read the light novel version after to compare them. I’m re-listening to ‘Chapter’ 14 of 18. I put it in quotation marks because each chapter has many parts in it. For example, Chapter 14 has 47 parts, 4 intermissions and a side story. It also has a one season anime.

You may say, but Matt, why do you have so many in your rotation? Because I like making things harder on myself? Heck if I know, things kept building up and that’s how it is.

To continue on about the reading/listening list, next one in the A’s was a Harry Potter one-shot. Let me leave a warning before the title, this is a smut fic. It’s a three-some between Harry, Ginny and Luna. It’s rated M for a reason. It’s called A Birthday Surprise by Epeefencer. The main reason it’s even on here is because I’ve put all of Epeefencer’s works on Voice Dream.

The following one, I had to start with a story farther down the list because it’s a sequel. I’ve talked about the first three in the series before: it’s The Last Mage of Krypton series by TheBeardedOne. I had to listen (because these are ones I listened to) the first one The Last Mage of Krypton and the second one Rising from the Shadows and the third one A Distant Storm before I got to the last one and the one I was aiming for. I previously talked about all three here.

The last one of this series is A Challenge Unexpected. It’s an interesting ending to the series with the potential to continue if he or someone else wants to. Harry of course ends up in the Triwizard Tournament, but with Riddle, Grindelwald and their lackies out there and Draco to be his Luthor; what will happen?

Then there’s A Christmas Surprise by Artist 111. I actually found this one because of the author’s other story, which will be talked about at a later point. It’s a cute little Harry Potter two-shot about Harry and Ginny’s first pregnancy and a slight reuniting with relatives. Worth a read.

Followed by A Cry For Help by Epeefencer. This is also a Harry Potter one-shot, but is not anything like the previous one by this author. It’s a cute little hurt/comfort short about Harry going to McGonagall about why he doesn’t want to go back to his relatives. There’s a small amount of Harry/Ginny, but it’s just the first real meeting between the two. Fun little fic.

The last one I’ll talk about now is one of ack1308’s newer stories, A Darker Path. It’s a Worm fanfic about Taylor getting a different power set when she Triggers. This time is Path to Ending. It’s kind of like Path to Victory, but about finishing something. This can be used to make sure someone/something dies or kills their villain career. Far warning, there is lots of character death, but it’s still within the T rating. Still updates occasionally.

For the Manga Club I’m in, we next added Perfect World by Aruga Rie, Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku by Fujita and Kaguya-sama: Love is War by Aka Akasaka. These were added by female members that were at the first meeting and never showed up again. Me, being a bibliophile, obviously read them (though I’m still the only one who’s reading all the books on the list), but I kept it to the book we were on.

Perfect World is about Tsugumi Kawana who meets her high school crush Itsuki Ayukawa at her job. However, things have changed drastically for him as he’s now in a wheelchair do to a spinal cord injury from an accident. It’s a love story about two people dealing with their physical and emotional issues. I’ve only read the first two volumes (because it was dropped as I was the only one reading it), but it’s interesting and I’ll pick it up again sometime.

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku is also set in the workplace and Narumi and Hirotaka are childhood friends. However, they’re both different types of otaku (nerds). She loves gay manga and he’s a gamer. She’s trying to hide it because she keeps getting rejected whenever friends and boyfriends find out. This is their and their friend’s love story. A good read. The club dropped it after book 4, for the same reason, but I finished it as it only had 6 volumes.

Kaguya-Sama: Love is War is another love story, but this time between the president and vice-president of the high school student counsel of a very highly rated school. The male lead, Miyuki Shirogane is from a poor background, but is always on the top of mock tests. The female lead, Kaguya Shinomiya, is from a wealthy house and competes with him. They both like each other, but refuse to be the first one to share it, because Love is War. Most chapters are styled as a ‘fight’ with a winner told at the end of each one. This is very amusing in the anime as well. It’s finished in Japan, but all the volumes aren’t in the US yet. We dropped this one much later (we got to the 7^th volume), again for the same reason (though the main other person reading it just stopped). We added more after that, but that’s for next time.

It’s finally time to talk about what I mentioned at the beginning, my fanfic. It’s an MHA and Cardcaptor Sakura crossover. I’ve read a few (and they’ll be talked about in my quest), but all of them are unfinished and not currently updating. I liked the concept and decided to try it myself, several years ago. However, I got busy and didn’t do anything with it for a while. However, the same group that has the manga club has a creators meeting that has recently been meeting weekly. I’ve been going when I can and working on it. I have 4 or so chapters, but like I said I’ve paused to write the order in which he captures the cards and an outline of how he does. I’m going to do that with most if not all of the cards, then I’ll go back and flush it out.

I’m not going to explain much other than at least the main cast of Cardcaptor Sakura will also be in it even if it’s set in the MHA universe and Izuku is the new cardcaptor. When I’ve got 10 chapters and the base for the rest of the first part (capturing the cards), then I’ll post it. When, not if, I do this, you’ll be the first to know.

Finally, games! Still waiting on information on either of the Kingdom Hearts’ games. Missing Link should have been out already, but there’s been no information for months. I’m looking forward to Pokemon Legends Z-A, but that’s not until next year. I’ve gotten Dragon Ball Z: Sparkling Zero and it’s been fun. Not been focused on it, but I’ve gotten through the first part of Super with all characters, but haven’t done most of the AU stories.
