I’ve Been Distracted By Another Long Fic Again

Hello everyone! It’s been a busy week of lots of driving and I’m looking forward to my supervisor being off next week. There’s not much coming up but I’m currently working on clearing out my photos as I have almost 43 GBs of them on my phone. It’s mostly screen shots of manga names or pics to identify them later, so I’m adding them to my manga to read app.

Anyway, I’ve just today started to get back into the listening schedule, but I’ve made a few changes (to the current listening list, not how it works). First, my replacement for the fourth block is Avatar Taylor by Dalxein. It’s a Worm and Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover that I’ve mentioned on the current quest, here. When Aang almost dies at the end of Season 2, Raava gathers the energy for a new Avatar. However, when he lives, she just lets it go and dissipate on its own. The Queen Administrator shard finds and absorbs it. It changes how it plans to go about connecting to Taylor and her powers. Now Taylor has the Avatar powers and is changing people and powers. It has 54 chapters, but sadly it hasn’t updated since late 2024.

I’m also finished Baccano! Vol 3 and plan to listen to the newest volume of Reborn as a Space Mercenary, vol 14. I haven’t started listening to it yet, but I’m fairly sure this one is when they go to one of the Dwarf twin’s hometown spaceports to deal with an epidemic. It’s sure to be different from the webnovel, so I’m looking forward to it.

Finally, I was tired of The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, so I’m changing it to a new fic that I’m still in the process of reading (and that the title is referencing). It’s called A Nascent Kaleidoscope by AStoryForOne. It’s a multi-crossover that starts off with Fate series and High School DxD, then quickly goes into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It’s about a semi-reborn Zelretch who’s reborn as Sirzetch’s bastard Half Devil son with barely any devil energy. When he awakens his memories, he realizes that he’s barely living and decides to so to another timeline. However, not before stealing the Boosted Gear from Issei and blowing up a bomb in Sona’s face for how she treated him. It has 676 chapters currently and it was updated last week. It’s definitely worth a read, however if you don’t know a series, you may be a bit confused. He goes to many of the Fate series, RWBY, Bleach, Harry Potter, and Campione to start. There’s a very amusing Bleach omake around chap 400 that made me burst out laughing and I still smile whenever I think about it.

And now, onto the quest, first is First Crisis by TheBeardedOne. This is a sequel to Dark Knights and a crossover with The Institute Saga series (that I’ll get into later). DK Superman (raised as Bruce’s brother) accidentally gets transported to THS world and they work to get him back. It’s complete with six chapters.

Second is First Kiss by seritha. It’s a Harry Potter one-shot set in fifth year. Harry and Ginny both are hoping for their first kiss soon with Cho and Michael. However, when Ginny says she would rather have her first kiss to be with Harry, he decides to grant her wish.

Third is Fixing Messes by Phantom1s. This one is a Harry Potter time travel story. At the end of Harry’s life, he and Hermione plan to use his magic to turn back time to right the wrongs of the war and past it. It’s a Harry/Ginny and Hermione/Ron fic. It’s completed and an interesting read.

Fourth is Flameheart by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a KHR and MHA crossover that I first talked about here. Tsuna is considered quirkless, but it was really sealed by his father. He’s living the best he can until he finds out that All Might is his grandfather. Watch as he takes Yuuei by storm, or as much as you can with only 8 chapters. Izuku still gets One-For-All in this fic that hasn’t been updated since 2019.

Fifth and final is Flames by Fencer22. This is a Worm fic with KHR powers that I mentioned before here. Taylor triggers with Dying Will Flames (Not Sky) and decides to just give up on Earth Bet. She lets you know why she thinks it’s dying and wants to escape with as much as she can. It’s completed with 23 chapters.

Happy Easter 2026

Hello, readers! Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. It’s been another quiet week for me. Work’s slow, but this coming week is busy with trips. I did finish the work on getting my text to speech back to working order.

I’ve not really been following the schedule for either my reading list quest or listening cycle and will probably need to get back into it. However, I have listened to a few things and completed some, so here we go!

I completed Go Away I’m Watching Porn, by reading the last 10 or so chapters. Mostly because I’ve maybe read that once and it’s also really emotional. I also listened to and finished Exodus by Zaru. It’s the Worm and Big Hero 6 fic I mentioned in the quest recently and first mentioned here. It’s an interesting little fic that’s essentially a sequel of sorts for both.

I also finished the 3-part fic Secret Love by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a Harry Potter fic that I first mentioned here. Harry and Ginny get together in his Fifth year after Christmas, but don’t tell anyone. The main story starts at the end of sixth year, and they decide to fake a breakup to keep her safe. It’s a great fic and worth a read. There were others, but none are really a replacement for the fourth block and I hope to get back into the schedules.

And now, onto the quest, first is Fifteen Ways to Make You Prince RememberYouExist! By SailorLeia. This one is a Sailor Moon R AU where Serena (the English Dub name for Usagi) tries her best to make Darian remember what they had before the end of season 1. It’s wacky and weird at times, but a fun completed fic with 23 chapters.

Second is Fillies and Colt by sakurademonalchemist. This is a KHR and Harry Potter crossover that I first mentioned here. Lily marries into the Chaivarone and is Dino’s mother. She is lured back to because of the war and James causes her to forget her life in Italy to marry her. After Dino takes over, he goes to find out what happen to her and finds Melody (Fem. Harry), his half-sister. He’s taking her home, come hell or high water. It’s got 9 chapters and was last updated in 2018.

Third is Finding Answers by sbmcneil. It’s a Harry Potter one-shot where Harry goes after some Death Eaters who escaped. Hannah Abbott mentions that they never found the killer. When Harry and others look into, they find that some DEs escaped because they weren’t well known. Follow him as they look into it. An interesting little fic.

Fourth is Finding the Way by ack1308. This one is a Worm fic where Taylor and Danny both trigger on the day of the locker. Danny can teleport and Taylor can find things and people. Both join the Protectorate and Wards, but don’t always agree with how things are done. It’s complete and has an alternate version that’s more than a bit NSFW and has incest (If you can find it).

Fifth and last is Fire and Rain by rayrae118. It’s a X-Men: First Class AU that I’ve mentioned before here. It’s one where they go for a different mutant other than Darwin. They instead find Jamie in a horrible situation. She helps things for the better. It’s complete with 13 chapters and has a semi-sequel.

Lateness Happens – No Really

Hello, readers. Sorry this is late, I got busy and didn’t have time to write yesterday. It was been a quiet week at work and I even donated blood recently! There’s not much to say for that, though I did play Pokopia. It’s interesting, but I haven’t had time to really do much with it. Still looking for a Beta reader, but am being proactive about it.

For the listening changes, I finished Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Game is Tough for Mobs Vol 2 and moved on to The Eminence in Shadow Vol 2. It follows Cid as he goes to see the Sacred Land for the Goddess’s Trail. Will he allow it to happen without interrupting it with his shadow games? Obviously not. However, things end up going weird and he meets and interesting person from the past. Also, what’s this about tournament? He’ll never let things be Mundane, except himself. Read and find out.

I also finished Free Life and chose Harry Potter and the Chance at a New Life by kossboss. It’s a Harry Potter and Stargate SG-1 crossover that mentioned before here. After the battle of the chamber, the horcrux in his scar is destroyed by the basilisk’s venom. Harry inherits Tom’s memories and decides that it isn’t worth staying in the wizarding world. After making sure Tom won’t come back after 4^th year, he goes through the Veil of Death and ends up in the Quantum Mirror room. He takes over a Gould and makes his own territory, changing things. It’s worth a read, but author has lots of technical descriptions. It has 19 chapters and was last updated in 2024.

Finally, I finished off Issei – The Gaming Gear and moved to the oddly named Go Away I’m Watching Porn by Third Fang. It’s another High School DxD fic, but with an OC from YAWALEH, Ghost, that I’ve mentioned before here. I’ll start off by saying there’s no sex in the fic, but porn is a common subject. Issei is a pervert, but the story is derailed when Ghost goes to find the ‘Oppai (breast) Dragon’. Instead, he finds himself stuck as a power in a young Issei’s hand (who would become said dragon). However, things go badly sometime before the main story and Issei becomes a shut-in. [Content Warning] There is a horrible situation that happens to him, that I’m not going to reveal as it’s a mystery for a while. He is traumatized by it and for good reason. [Content Warning] It’s currently got 30 chapters and was updated last month.

Now, for the quest, first is Faith by sbmcneil. This is a Harry Potter fic that some may not be comfortable with. [Content Warning] Harry is raped by Bellatrix after his 5^th year. It’s not explicit, but there it is [Content Warning]. She gives birth to a daughter and sends her back to him. This is a story about trauma and overcoming it with Ginny’s help. It’s complete with 4 chapters.

Second is Falling Iron by Arthur Hansen. This is an Iron Man and Worm crossover that I’ve mentioned before here. Tony ends up in the Worm Universe (before the beginning of the story) instead of New York after redirecting the nuke in Avengers. Taylor finds and helps him. Watch as she helps him get things together in this new world. It has 14 chapters and was last updated in 2017.

Third is Famiglia Drabbles by sakurademonalchemist. This is a drabbles story based on KHR (which has been confirmed for a complete reboot!) that I’ve talked about here. It has many crossovers. There are 175 chapters and some have been made into actual stories. It was last updated late last year.

Fourth is Familia Myth: Journey to Hero by Kairomaru. This is a Familia Myth (Danmachi) AU where Bell is older when he gets to Orario. He’s wiser and more willing to respond to the women’s advances. [Content Warning] There is sex in this one, but you can skip it and it won’t affect the story [Content Warning]. It’s an interesting fic that has 43 chapters and was updated earlier this month.

Fifth and last is Farming Life In Another World by Kinosuke Naito. Hiraku dies after a long sickness and asks to be able to farm in a new world, away from other people. He works to make his farm with the tool God gave him. Many people and creatures are surprised to find him there. Watch him become a power in this world, without meaning to. This is the web novel version, so things are probably different from the light novel. I read chapters 1-837 because that was all that was translated when I read it. It now has over 1000. It has an anime and the second season was announced.

My Fic is Up!

Hello, everyone. I’ve worked and finally gotten all the added links added where they should and have the current quest list up (in A-Z order [including later ones mentioned that are prequels]). I even have a favorite list that I’ll add to as I mention more of them in posts.

Things were fine at work, but it’s been really busy. I also finally posted the first chapter of my fic on the 28^th as I promised my group I would. However, one of group got back to me Thursday with recommendations for the first chapter. I spent part of the weekend (including when I would normally work on this) to finish the editing and repost it. So! Here are the links to Theurgy Thru Replevy on FF.net and AO3. I hope people enjoy it, but I’m honestly doing this for me. I’d love to write my own stories, and this is helping me. Also, I really wanted to have a completed MHA/CCS crossover even if it takes me forever.

So, onto the listening changes, I finished The Eminence in Shadow Vol 1 and moved back to Baccano! Vol 2. This is one of my favorite ones from the anime, the story of what happened on the Flying Pussyfoot train at the end of 1931, or rather, half the story. There are three groups that have their own plans for the train. Throw in two silly thieves who don’t know anything, several independents doing their own thing and the mysterious ‘Rail Tracer’. How will things turn out?

Because I didn’t post last week, I also finished that one, so now I’m on Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Game is Tough for Mobs Vol 2. Leon is continuing at school after the duel. Everyone hates him because they lost tons of money on the betting. Now there’s a school festival and several people are plotting against him. Will he be able to deal with it? And will anything ever happen with Livia or Angie?

Next I finished Taking Control and went to its sequel Free Life also by fake a smile. I mentioned it here before. It takes place during the summer after 6^th year. Harry has escaped Dumbledore’s control and is fighting the Death Eaters that go after his students. Will he be able to see Ginny? And will things be resolved with Dumbles? Some questions are answered, but not all as it only has 6 chapters and it was last updated in 2011.

I also finished A Body Roll or Two and decided to move onto Hero Academia DxD by DinoCam1234. This one is mainly an MHA and High School DxD crossover where Izuku takes Issei’s place as the Red Dragon Emperor. It’s set in MHA and Rias is in UA already. There’re also characters from Bungou Stray Dogs (that I haven’t read or watched yet) and other anime (like Code Geass) and some MHA characters take the place of DxD characters. Its 64 chapters long and was just updated at the end of last year!

Mauling Snarks was also finished and I read the Apocrypha of the fic Mauling Canon. It’s also written by CmptrWz. It takes a different version of chap 58 and MS Taylor ends up in Canon Worm the night Taylor goes out. Shenanigans ensue. The link is to the first chapter, and it has links to all 14 chapters at the bottom.

After that I decided to listen to Issei – The Gaming Gear by Seerking again. It’s a High School DxD and The Gamer crossover I first mentioned here. Issei and his family are attacked by a rouge agent of an unknown faction, the Purifiers, before he meets Raynare and awakens his Sacred Gear. However, he has two, Boosted Gear and the Gamers Gear (Gaia). They help him defeat the Purifier, but now he has to deal with the rest. An interesting way to introduce Issei to the supernatural world, no? It has 24 chapters and sadly, Seerking still hasn’t updated this year.

In Flight was finished and I chose Heart of the Soul by sakurademonalchemist next. It’s a KHR and Ghost Hunt crossover I first mentioned here. Mai (Fem. Tsuna) breaks the seal on her flames in the middle of a case. This allows ‘Naru’s’ brother ‘Yuu-chan’ to escape where he is to her house. Now how will flames affect the supernatural? It has 21 chapters and hasn’t been updated since 2017.

I completed that one and listened to Hero Class Civil Warfare by RogueDruid (Icarius51). I honestly thought I had mentioned this one before, but it’s a MHA AU where there’s a ‘civil war’ every year between the students of 1-A and 1-B. Two of them are chosen to be the leaders of the Heroes and Villains. Of course, Bakugo is chosen as the hero leader, but Izuku is chosen as the villains. Will he be able to step into the role and help his fellow ‘villains’ win? Find out as it’s complete and has a sequel and a spin-off.

Sadly, I also completed that and turned to Tome of the Orange Sky by CmptrWz again. It’s a Naruto and slight Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha crossover that I first mentioned here. Naruto finds an old and broken device and it uses the Kyuubi to help recreate itself. Now Kurama is dead and everything changes. It’s completed!

To end, my replacement for Weasley Brothers’ Enterprises is Hybird Hive – Eat Shard by CmptrWz. Its a Worm and Magical Lyrical Nanoha crossover that I first mentioned here. When Taylor triggers in the locker, a Belkan device is pulled along. It absorbs her shard and connects with her. How will magic affect this grim dark world? This one is also complete! With that said, I just put a link that shows what my current listening list is.

Finally, the quest continues! First is It’s OK Not to Be OK (But I Promise, I’m Trying) by rayrae118. It’s here because it’s the first in the series of the actual next one. In this one, McGonagall finds out what Harry is going through at the Dursleys and takes him in at the end of third year. It follows the summer after and fourth year. It’s mostly Harry/Ginny with some Ron/Hermione in there. It’s a good completed series overall and a favorite.

The actual first is Every Tear Fall Down for a Reason (But I Promise I Won’t Cry for You) by rayrae118. This one is the fifth-year story. How will this Harry deal with Umbridge? And will he learn the prophecy? All this and more!

Second is the Evil Gohan Series by Dr. Trunks Briefs. I’ve mentioned them before here and they’re no longer on ff.net. However, I found a drive that has all the fics here. Impasse has Future Gohan and Trunks coming to help with the androids, with a little helper. There it’s revealed that Gohan in the that future, snapped and needs meds to stay normal. They want to stop the androids and make sure Gohan stays sane.

Finesse is the sequel set when Gohan goes to high school. The future gang is back to make sure Gohan doesn’t snap and make sure things go well with Videl. However, they don’t expect Buu and Gohan being controlled. How will things work out?

Pavisse is the prequel, the story of Future Gohan and what happened with him.

Technically third is Exiles by kb0. This is a Harry Potter fic that goes AU after the final battle. The remaining Des take out the adults when they relax after the battle. The Ministry Six and George are captured and put in Azkaban. They escape and exile themselves rather than face trial. This one is completed with six chapters, a sad, but good read.

Lastly, fourth and the final E is Exodus by Ld1449. It’s a Worm and Big Hero 6 crossover that I’ve mentioned before here. Taylor is tossed into the realm where Calhan’s daughter is at the end of Worm as Hiro and Baymax are saving her. They grab her as well and she heals. Find out how a former villain helps out the world’s first hero team. And are those new parahumans popping up? This is completed!

PoGo Tour Kalos! and Other Info

Hello everyone! As I said, this is late because I went to the Pokémon Go Tour at the Rose Bowl Stadium and the fact I’ve had things going on during the week so far that have made it so I didn’t have time to post until now. I’ll talk about that in a second, but I wanted to let everyone know that I’m taking a break from posting for a week to update the archive links. I don’t know how long ago I last caught up on the links, so I’m going to make sure they’re caught up through this post. I’ll probably also make a list of the stories from the current quest. Maybe one for my favorite fanfics/books/anime and one for what I’m listening to as well. Basically, my next post will probably be on the 8^th of March.

I also made a promise to my anime group that I’d post the first chapter of my fanfic this month, so I’ll probably post that on the 28^th. Its name is Theurgy Thru Replevy and my handle on fanfiction.net is TheReader2011 and on AO3 is TheReader2017. As a reminder, it’s a Cardcaptor Sakura and My Hero Academia crossover. Basically, Izuku becomes the new Cardcaptor, but it brings most if not all of the characters from Cardcaptor Sakura into the MHA world, eventually (and maybe not all in this first ‘book’). I’m going to work on the description, and I want one of my alpha(?) readers to give me a little feedback back at least on the first chapter. However, my first choice isn’t doing it, and my other four are busy themselves. I hope one of the two I’ll see on Saturday will at least give me some about the first few chapters. I’ll be looking for an actual Beta reader when I post it.

Anyway, onto the Go Tour, I got 16ish new shinnies including Xerneas, 2 Furfrou, 2 of the 4 Hat Pikachus (one gender for each hat) and some Unowns. I walked a lot and my legs are finally almost back to normal. I didn’t really interact with anyone, but that was fine. I’ll have another chance at getting more this weekend with the Global version. I got back on Monday night and was tired, so I didn’t work on this. Tuesday, I had to work on my church’s website because even though I’ve handed the upkeep to others, they didn’t know how to do something, so it fell to me. Yesterday I had another event and so it falls to today.

Work’s been fine, I’m by myself for today and tomorrow and of course this is when it gets busy. I’m not looking forward to when my supervisor gets back on Monday because he set something up right before he left on vacation and didn’t explain it very well. We asked his supervisor (and the one who’s in charge of us while he’s gone) if she knew what he wanted with it. She took off the notices he put on our desks because she didn’t feel he should set something up, not explain it, then go on vacation. However, he and I get in before she does and I’m not looking forward to having to explain why they’re not there if she hasn’t notified him beforehand.

So, my listening schedule was messed up for a little while because of the Go Tour. My text to speech app takes a lot of power and I only brought one battery pack with me (because that’s all we were supposedly allowed). I used an old phone, but it didn’t have some of the newer ones I put on the app (like the EiS and Mobuseka crossover I mentioned recently). So I just listened to Hogwarts- An Escalation by Temporal Knight. This on is a Harry Potter and Worm crossover. A slightly AU Taylor is transported to the Greengrass’ manor during a confrontation with Bakuda (who also comes along and is killed). After she figures out she’s not in Kansas anymore, she agrees to be the Greengrass sister’s bodyguard at Hogwarts. How will 5^th year HP deal with the Queen of Escalation? Read and find out, slightly, as it only has 17 chapters and hasn’t updated since 2023.

I only had two changes I had in my actual schedule last week, the first was that I finished with Solidarity Among Students, Class 1-A Edition by Jetstream and had a quick listen to Weasley Brothers’ Enterprises by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a short four-chapter story where Harry asks first year, why don’t the Weasley siblings do more to earn money if they need it. He gives them suggestions and they run with it. It’s complete and a fun little story. I didn’t start the new story after that until this week, so I’ll wait until the next post to announce the replacement.

The second was that I finished Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Game is Tough for Mobs vol 1and decided to listen to (you guessed it) The Eminence in Shadow Vol 1 by Daisuke Aizawa. Listening to the light novel gives me a bit more insight into characters (especially the Seven Shades). The first volume goes through the school invasion arc, so there’s a lot to work through. Cid, or Shadow, is basically the same, just maybe a little more straightforward (like actually asking Gamma for money, but taking more than the grabbed even though he offered him a lot more).

Onto the quest, first is Enough by White Angel of Auralon. It’s a Harry Potter fic I first mentioned here. Harry has been hiding his real skills from everyone as he knows that Dumbles and his supposed friends aren’t looking out for him. He takes him NEWTS right after he passes his OWLS and escapes from England. Voldie is still defeated, but not by Harry. It’s a fun little completed 8-chapter story.

Second is Equus by sakurademonalchemist. This is a KHR and Harry Potter crossover I’ve mentioned before here. Fem Harry (Harmony) escapes from England after her 5^th year and lives in Italy as a horse rancher. However, this leads her to meet and eventually marry Dino Cavallone. Everything is great, until England comes knocking. It’s an interesting fic with 17 chapters, but is, of course, incomplete and hasn’t updated since 2017.

Third is Erazerhead – The Unknown Hero by Clouds (myheadinthecoudsnotcomingdown). This one is a MHA fic where Izuku finds a piece of Eraserhead’s capture weapon and accidentally becomes a vigilante. However, no one knows except him, as they all think he’s the real one. It has 7 chapters and is still being updated every once in a while. The author has also indicated that it will only have 15 chapters.

Third is Escape From the Hokage’s Hat by anothvortex. It’s another Missing Hokage Naruto fic where he’s kicked out after bring back Sasuke that I’ve mentioned before here. In this one, Shizune, Tsunade and Hinata join him. They end up many different places and it currently ends up with the Hidden Village of the Star arc. It’s a good read and has 42 chapters, however it was last updated in 2012.

Fourth is Eternal Sands by sakurademonalchemist. This is a Harry Potter and Aladdin crossover. Fem Harry (Acacia) finds Jafar’s lamp and releases him. They get along well and end up together (the author tells Aladdin from Jafar’s perspective with more world building). There’s more to it, but more importantly, this one is actually finished with 11 chapters.

Fifth and finally is Even the Wizards Must Pay Their Due by Gamma Cavy. This is Harry Potter and Fullmetal Alchemist crossover. The Harry Potter world is ‘Outside’ and Ed and Al are sent to investigate. Dumbles tries to control Ed and he snaps the Deathstick and steals young Harry. When the wizards eventually get to the FMA world, the main battle is done and they’ll learn, as the title says. It’s complete with 16 chapters.

Links Can Make You Late – 2026

Hello, readers. Sorry this is late, once again getting links has made me late. I have to sadly report that I didn’t get the position. Apparently, I made it into the top 5, but someone else was chosen. I don’t know who as it hasn’t been announced, but I really hope it’s someone from outside and not inside the company. Anyway, we’re busy now with an event coming up, so I’m putting off thinking about other things (maybe finding another job as I won’t leave until I have another job) until after that’s done.

I have a few changes in my listening list; first is that, on Audible, I finished Reborn as a Space Mercenary vol 13 and then read By the Grace of the Gods vol 8. Ryoma helps out at his friend’s wedding before heading home. However, he soon leaves to go help out another set of friend’s village. There he’ll have many interesting experiences, including his first negative interaction with a God. Read and find out how things go!

I also finished with that one and started In Another World with My Smartphone vol 6. Touya is searching for a part of Babylon that can help him fight the Phrase. However, things aren’t as easy as that. Especially when one of his friends comes to him begging to become his fiancée as well. Otherwise, she’ll might be engaged to a vile prince. How will he deal with this situation? Read and see!

I also finished My Heroic Drabbles by sakurademonalchemist and decided to read Beyond the Outer Gate Lies by gaberiel blessing. It’s a Harry Dresden and High School DxD crossover I’ve mentioned it before here. A Harry from the later books, ends up in the void battling the Those Who Came. He defeats them, but after escaping from Great Red, he ends up in Kouh de-aged to a teenager. His humor and interactions with the supernatural elements is hilarious after he gets used to the fact things are different from his world. This is complete and even has spin off fics from another author.

Forging Destiny by White Angel of Auralon is completed as well as it’s sequel – Embracing Destiny. This one is for Harry’s fourth year after the events of Forging Destiny. Sirius is free and Minister. He interferes and changes the tournament to make it more interesting. Now Harry is able to enter if he wants and be part of a team. How will it go and will Dumbles manage to get Harry back on his side? Find out part of it as the 17 chapters end in the middle of the second task. The author hasn’t been back to this one since 2017, even though they’ve written a lot after.

When I finished with that one I started Taking Control by fake a smile. It’s an after fifth year Harry Potter fic that I’ve mentioned before here. Sirius visits Harry the summer after his death to help him prepare for what’s the come. This includes teaching him magic and how to become an animagus! However, Dumbles doesn’t exactly like Harry’s new plans and Hermione and Ron keep sticking their feet in their mouths. Ginny, however, is his biggest supporter. It’s complete and even has a sequel.

Finally, I finished vol 4 of Dahlia in Bloom – Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools, where I remember leaving off, I really need to finish the series at some point. I decided to restart and relisten to Life’s a Pay to Win Game by UnholyExcaliber as part of the cycle. It’s fun and I don’t mind listening to it again now that I’ve finished all the current chapters (109 just came out).

Onto the quest; first is Dumbledore’s Army by Bobmin356. It’s a sixth year Harry Potter fic that I’ve mentioned before here. Harry gets a magically spelled letter from his dead parents and Sirius (spelled before Lily died, but from their spirits) telling him how to get his life in order. A retired American squib helps him and his friends get ready for the war. It’s Harry/Ginny and has some dark scenes. It’s completed and has a sequel!

Second is the last of the D’s – Dusk and Dawn by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Harry Potter and My Little Pony crossover I’ve talked about before here. Fem. Harry (Dawn) is really Twilight’s sister who was stolen by Fawkes. She finds a spell to take her home after the trial goes wrong before 5^th year. She and Sirius take it and interact with the MLP cast. It has 14 chapters and was last updated in 2014.

Third is the first of the E’s – Earning Her Stripes by ack1308. This is a Worm AU where the trio (yes, those ones) get three power granting vials. Emma and Madison take them and join Sophia in becoming superheroes. However, they want their own villain so dose Taylor. However, as things do, she Escalates. How will things go? Read and see. It has 48 chapters currently and was last updated last year.

Fourth is Effects and Side Effects by Pheonix Dawn. This is an end of 5^th year Harry Potter AU that I’ve mentioned before here. Harry is turned into a girl after the Department of Mysteries when Voldie makes Draco give Harry a potion to get his soul fragment back (yes, he figured it out when he possessed Harry). However, Harry fights back and becomes more powerful. Eight school-age witches decide to help him and swear an oath to do so. Of course, this magically marries them and they all train to fight. It has 37 chapters and was last updated in 2015.

Fifth and last is Elemental Harry by hermyd. This one is another Harry Potter sixth year AU. Harry and Ginny get elemental powers after his fifth year. They have to bond to control their powers (like the werewolves from Twilight, but from both sides [the author said that, not me[). How will having the power affect the fight against the dark? You’ll know if you read as it’s complete with 12 chapters.

A Busy Week

Hello, readers! It’s been another week and things are mostly the same. I did get an interview date for the job next week. Based on previous experience, I don’t think I’ll hear back until closer to the end up for the month about the job, but here’s hoping! I did a lot of driving on Friday and it tired me out. I haven’t done much reading for the quest this week because of starting to study Spanish. Because of that I don’t think I’ll be able to finish the last S this month, but I need to do this, so it is what it is. Because of previously mentioned stuff, I also haven’t really had a chance to try and find Alpha ? Unown.

I also finally posted the first chapter of my fic on a My Hero Academia discord to get feedback and edits yesterday. Sadly, no-one has looked it over yet, so we’ll see how it goes.

So, my listening changes this week are – I finished In Another World with My Smartphone Vol 5 and started Reborn as a Space Mercenary vol 13 as it finally came out on Audible! This one’s always fun and I like getting back to it once in a while. Captain Hiro is back and he’s planning to head back to his second stop to officially add Doctor Shoko to his crew, however first, he has to deal with a giant space monster being unsealed. And even when he gets there, someone is waiting with a grudge. Listen to the latest book of Hiro’s misadventures!

I also got to a point I didn’t remember in A Hero Rises by Zabeck and so I switched to the compilation fic My Heroic Drabbles by sakurademonalchemist. I’ve talked about it recently here, though the posts after that one have more information on specific stories in it.

That’s it, so it’s time for the quest – first is Displacement by cloud_nine_and_three_quarters. This is an MHA story set at some point after they leave UA and Izuku still has One-For-All. Izuku is thought to have been killed two years ago and Bakugo is still chasing the villain that did it. However, things are not as they seem and he wasn’t killed, just displaced, in time. This is great fic and is even completed, worth a read.

Second is Distance Learning for Fun and Profit by mp3.1415player. This is a Worm AU where Taylor is very smart without powers and manages to make a machine that can pick up what she assumes is alien learning programs. She uses them to learn how to make things that aren’t tinker tech and confuses the world. There’s no Emma conflict in this one as she’s been in a coma since the attack. Sadly incomplete, but I hope it gets finished eventually.

Third is actually a omake of the previous story – Distress Calls Can Go a Long Way by mp3.1415player. It’s a Mass Effect crossover where Tali’Zorah is stranded in a dead ship and manages to make a weird gravity machine to help bring her help. However, it gets the attention of Taylor and she makes contact. Tali’Zorah and her people are in for some interesting times. Also incomplete, but at a good stopping point.

Fourth is Do I Have a Purpose Anymore? by Kingkakashi. This is a Naruto fic with a bit of Bleach crossover. After having all three of his girlfriends be stolen from him by their teammates, Naruto has enough. He leaves the village to find his purpose, however people just won’t let him be for one reason or another. Also he finds out that swords have souls, what’s that about? This is a heart-wrenching story that is complete! Also, don’t read if you like Kiba, that’s all I’ll say.

Fifth is Do You Even Lift? By TanJaded. This one is Youjo Senki two-shot about Tanya/Visha. Visha finds out about Tanya’s muscles when she walks in on Tanya winning a competition in the gym. This leads to her mouth getting ahead of her and blurting out a suggestion. Tanya takes that as a challenge and that’s history. A fun little fic.

Sixth and final is Dodging Prison and Stealing Witches – Revenge is Best Served Raw by LeadVonE . This is a wrong Boy-Who-Lived Harry Potter time travel fic that I’ve talked about before here. Harry is sent to Azkaban at the end of his second year for supposedly killing Ginny (his brother’s [John] girlfriend). He stays there for many years until after Voldemort takes over. He’s accidentally sent through the Veil of Death and Death and Fate show up. It turns out this is the second time through and last time they sent John back even though he wasn’t the Boy-Who-Lived. This time they send him back even farther. The catch? The John that was sent back will be there too eventually. He decides to get the good witches first while working the political landscape to his liking. However, this doesn’t mean things won’t go wrong. This is a very interesting fic with 69 chapters; however it hasn’t been updated since late 2024.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Hello, everyone! I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a great one! Mine was fine, I had to do a lot of work during a church service because of system issues, but we think we’ve figured it out (I hope {We did!}). They announced who got the upper-level position at work but haven’t put lower-level job up to apply to. Hopefully, it’ll happen soon, but you never know.

So, I’ll talk a bit about the Dungeon Crawler Carl book that I mentioned last time. Carl was chasing his ex-girlfriend’s prized cat (Princess Donut [insert long name I’m not going to repeat]) at night, outside in a blizzard without pants, when the apocalypse came. Aliens flattened all structures and anything that had a ‘roof’. They then announced to the survivors that they had to either live with what was left or join a dungeon crawling game to try and win the planet back. Carl grabbed Donut and bolted to an entrance to survive. He didn’t expect for Donut to gain sapience. Now he has to go through the Dungeon without pants and with a ‘royal’ cat. His most common phrase is “Dammit, Donut.” It’s worth a read and is part of a series.

So, changes to what I’m listening to – I rushed through Yet again, with a little extra help by Third Fang. This is because of what I mentioned about its sequel being next on the list. I read the one right behind it, but I managed to finish and am now reading the sequel. I don’t have its replacement yet, so I’ll mention it next week.

Because of that, I only finished The Echo Ranger by Xavon Wrentaile and that only because I hadn’t read past the 22 chapter. I’m now almost finished catching up to it’s current chapter, 29. The next one I’m listening to is A Hero Rises by Zabeck. It’s a My Hero Academia fic that I’ve mentioned before in the quest here. It’s a longer fic, but I’ll remind people. [*A warning, this has explicit sex scenes, don’t read if you’re underage or aren’t interested*] It’s an Izuku/Himiko/1-A girls fic, just so you’re forwarded.

Onto the quest, first is Constellations by UnwelcomeStorm. This is a Worm and Okami games crossover. Taylor first meets Amaterasu in her great wolf form when she’s lost in the forest at summer camp when she’s young. Taylor names her Sunshine (Sunny) and they meet up irregularly. After her mom dies and she’s alone, Sunny comes saves her flute. After an odd sequence of events, including accidentally convincing Oni Lee that she’s a Miko; she and Sunny end up fixing up an abandoned shrine. It’s an amusing fic and Danny’s even a cape in this one. It has 54 chapters, but hasn’t been updated since 2021.

Second is Contractual Obligation: How Visha Secured her Position as Adjutant for Life by TanJaded. This is a Youjo Senki (which is finally getting a second season next year) short fic. After years, the war is finally over and the 203^rd is back in the capital. Tanya (who’s 18 by now) tells Visha that she won’t be her adjutant forever. Visha decides she doesn’t like that and looks into how she can be her adjutant for life. This leads her an interesting document that means she can take care of Tanya for life. The only thing is getting her to sign it. (And yes, I’m referring to getting married). It’s amusing little finished fic.

Third is Coping Mechanisms by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a KHR fic I’ve mention before here. Tsuna finds out that his mother is more lucid when he’s dressed up as a girl, so he decides to do it more. He’s found out and is helped by Hibari, as long as he helps keeps the girls away. Then Fon breaks the seal, and they really can switch genders. It has 8 chapters and is of course, unfinished since 2017.

Fourth is Corpse Cleaner by also by sakurademonalchemist. It also another KHR fic I’ve mentioned before here. Tsuna is a corpse cleaner in Italy at a young age. He gets along well with the Varia and they helped him to find his grandmother. How will the Vongola deal with a former cleaner as their heir? You’ll barely find out here, because it only has 7 chapters and hasn’t updated since 2019.

Fifth is later in a series, so the first one is The Winged Lord and Lady of the Skies by LilyannaSpiritOfTheCheetah. This one is a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger fic with Tommy/Kimberly. [Warning there is rape and noncon sex scenes at the beginning] While Tommy is under the evil spell, he kidnaps Kim. He does somethings he wouldn’t normally do and they become more connected then normal. They also have a kid. It goes through Turbo.

Next in the series is the actual next one for the quest, Countdown to Destruction. Tommy, Kim and the other rangers are contacted by the Space Rangers about an attack coming to Earth. Will things go the same way as in the show? Read this one-shot to find out.

Sixth and finally is Crimson Typhoon by sakurademonalchemist. It’s a Naruto and One Piece crossover that I’ve mentioned before here. Shanks is Kushina’s father and comes for fem. Naruto. She joins his crew and changes things up. It has 8 chapters and is hasn’t been updated since 2014.

I’m getting things ready for Christmas, and I have a recital coming up, but things are normal other than that. So, as always, May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key!

Links Can Make You Late (Reprise)

Hello once again, readers. Sorry this is so late. As the title says, once again I didn’t pay attention to the links for the quest and had to take time to do them. I could have done this yesterday, but I really wanted to finish a physical book I was reading, Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. I got it for Christmas last year and I hadn’t gotten around to it because I was focusing on the quest. However, I completed the side S stories early last week and wanted to spend time finishing a few other stories including this one. It was fun and I’ll read the rest at some point. I’ll talk about it next week because I have a bit to say this time.

I am pleased to announce that I have finished Digimon: Time Stranger! I got all the Digimon I could get before finishing, then completed the game and got the last 5 I needed (all Aegiomon digivolutions). I could do new game + or finish all the achievements (I only have 5 left), but those matter little to me so, maybe, if I get bored.

Onto my week, it was a bit stressful because of the rain and learning that the company didn’t get the leaks fixed from the last time. The clean-up wasn’t as bad as last time and nothing was irrevocably damaged. We had to do some set-up because of the rain that did happen this weekend. I get to see how that worked tomorrow. Fun, right?

I also learned that a slightly higher paying job I’ve tried to get in the company before is most likely opening up. A higher-level position was vacated and someone in the position I’ve mentioned is most likely to get it. I can hope I’ll get it, but past experience hasn’t made me that enthusiastic that I will.

Anyway, to what I’m listening to, the first change is that I finished By the Grace of the Gods Vol 5 and started In Another World With My Smartphone Vol 3. Toya once again manages to stumble on conflict, but this time in Eashen, this world’s equivalent of ancient Japan. Turns out there’s someone using the dead to attack. Will Toya and his girls be able to save the day? And what’s happening in the ruins they originally went to find? Finally, will he finally learn that the girls like him?! All that and more!

I also finished Ginny Returns by kb0 and am listening to Harry Potter, Squatter by Enterprise1701-d. It’s a Harry Potter and Percy Jackson crossover. In it, Harry is taken to New York by the Dursley’s on a business trip and they abandon him. He’s lucky enough to find the Empire State building and end up on Olympus. He squats in a semi-abandoned temple and Hestia finds him. She looks after him and becomes a mother to him. However, some aren’t happy he’s there. I won’t reveal who his Godly parent is, but I did give a small hint. It’s interesting and has 82 chapters. It’s even still updating!

Deku? I think he’s some pro… by Clouds (myheadinthecoudsnotcomingdown) was finished as well and I started The Echo Ranger by Xavon Wrentaile. It’s a My Hero Academia and Power Ranger crossover. Izuku ends up in an antique shop running from his bullies. There he finds an odd three-headed coin that turns into a morphing watch. Tommy Oliver shows up in his dreams and reveals that after the Earth was cut off from the morphing grid and Quirks started to show up, the rangers worked to create the Echo Ranger. They used the still mostly intact power coins of Tommy to give it three modes based on his Green, White and Black powers. Watch as Izuku becomes a Power Ranger in a world of quirks. And will he be the only one? Read and find out! It has 29 chapters and is still ongoing!

So, onto the quest! The first one is Compass of Thy Soul by Umei no Mai. It’s a Naruto fic that I’ve mentioned before here. A person from our world ends up reincarnated into the Naruto world, but instead of the main Naruto storyline; they’re born into the Uchiha in the time of Madara. Kita doesn’t remember much at a young age, but tries to help out. This leads to her being engaged to Madara! Watch as Kita changes things for the better, but maybe not the way canon went. It’s completed and has a finished sequel!

Second is Conflicting Ideals by Razamataz22. It’s a My Hero Academia and Fate series crossover. Grownup Shiro and Rin end up de-aged and in the MHA universe. They try to live alone, but end up caught by the authorities. After trying to escape, they’re offer the chance to go to UA. Watch as Shiro does his best to get the rising heroes to believe in becoming true heroes! And who else would be around, but Archer. How will this end up? It has 73 chapters and is ongoing!

Fourth is Confrontation by ack1308. This one is Worm fic where things go wrong in Taylor’s fight with Lung. Armsmaster convinces her in the hospital to join the Wards. There she meets Shadow Stalker and they hit it off, with neither one knowing who the other is. This can’t go wrong, can it? Completed with a sequel.

Fifth is the sequel, Confrontation II: The Reckoning by ack1308. Taylor and Sophia have learned each other’s identities and now they’re being forced to get used to each other. They even meet Brian and Sophia is interested. Now what is so wrong with that? It’s complete with 10 chapters.

Finally, sixth is Consequences of an Ingenious Mind by White Angel of Auralon. This is a Harry Potter three-shot. Harry hides his intelligence and before third year, decides to change how he does things. Plus, he learns of an interesting way to copy magical tools. Now how would that be useful? A fun little fic.

Can’t Think of a Title (2025)

Hello readers, it’s been another week. It was mostly a quiet week and I focused on reading for the quest and finishing Digimon: Time Stranger. I’m on track to finish the side story S’s this month. Lol, I’m not sure I’ll even finish the last main S story this year as I have around 30 cycles left to finish it (based on my calculations). And I still have around 65 Digimon left to get and one more side quest on Time Stranger. I’m AFK leveling right now to get some up to Digivolve.

Now for listening changes, I finished That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime Vol 1 and started By the Grace of the Gods Vol 5. In it, Ryoma has learned that there’s a festival coming up in his town. He and begin to prepare for it and end up more involved than he originally thought. He also goes on a hunt, but all isn’t as it seems.

I also finished Fate: Hammer Time by TedTheRabbit or rather all the chapters I had on my text-to-speech app. There’s 8 chapters I still need to catch up on currently. Then I quickly went through Yo-Ho Yo-Ho An Ashikabi’s Life for Me by Quatermass. It’s a Sekirei and Pirates of the Caribbean crossover I’ve mentioned before here. Jack is reborn as the MC Minato. He writes his story as books and becomes a famous author. Watch how he changes the Sekirei story. Sadly, unfinished and only has 13 real chapters.

After I finished that, I decided to read Usagi’s Struggles by Serena530. It’s a Sailor Moon AU set during the first season. During the hunt for the rainbow crystals, Usagi is condemned by the other senshi for her conduct normally and as a senshi. She quits and then becomes sick. This is the story of her learning her real destiny. It’s Usagi/Mamoru and don’t read if you like Rei/Mars. It’s finished with 22 chapters and even has a periodically updating sequel!

Onto the quest, first is Code Geass: Roar of the Rebellion by RyoshiMorino. This is a Code Geass and Zoids crossover that I mentioned here. I didn’t mention much about the story when I first talked about it, so I’ll do it now. Lelouch takes over as Zero during the Shinjuko Massacre, but he brings in his own units instead of stealing them – the Zoids. Turns out the Ashfords had some up with them before their fall, but didn’t have time to do anything with them. Lelouch uses this resource to help in his rebellion. It hasn’t been updated since 2018, so we might just have to be happy with the 27 chapters posted.

Second is Code Geass: The Prepared Rebellion V2 by SeerKing. It’s a Code Geass AU fic I’ve mentioned before here. Lelouch figures out early that he needs to get in shape if he wants to overthrow his father. This changes many things, including getting him a harem. [Content Warning] As I mentioned the first time I mentioned it, there are sex scenes in it. but most of these are in the AO3 site [Content Warning] It currently has 59 chapters (including interludes) and is updated on a schedule (which means mostly once or twice a year. He has quite a few fics going on right now).

Third is Code Geass: The Rise of the Black Prince by nanoman79. This is another Code Geass fic, with a twist that I’ve mentioned before here. In it, Marianne, the mother of Lelouch and Nunnally doesn’t die and this changes everything. Lelouch stays in Britannia and Nunnally isn’t crippled. This doesn’t mean things don’t still happen, it’s just that the Japanese invasion is Lelouch and his siblings coming to visit. It completed with 107 chapters, but the sequel is not likely to be updated.

Fourth is Collateral Damage by ack1308. This is a Worm AU where Danny, Taylor’s father, is a very dangerous cape that’s been retired. When Taylor triggers she gets similar power and she and her father take out their anger on those who should have known better. It’s unfinished with 9 chapters since early last year.

Fifth is Collector Hero: Synthesis by Kairomaru. I recently mention this one here so I’ll skip the description. So, Sixth is Coming Home to Us by jojor99. This one is a Harry Potter one-shot. In it, Ginny isn’t giving Harry the chance to really talk and seems to avoid him. He decides to prove he wants her back. It’s a cute little story.

Seventh and last is Coming of Age by Siriuslives5. It’s another Harry Potter fic but focusing on Ginny during the seventh book. Watch as Ginny goes through Hogwarts controlled by Death Eaters. Sadly, unfinished with 6 chapters since 2005.
